It says "Northern Coco-Cola Co. of Michigan". Searching Google is turning up no results. Coca-Cola is based in Atlanta. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this doesn't even seem like the same company.
Someone buy this book and find out where it came from.
The "customers also viewed" section on that is something else. Mount Trumpmore anyone?
The Waffle House Disaster Index tells me a lot; this is the roughest toughest salt of the earth down home blue collar grit kinda place, practically the infrastructure of the entire country embodied in breakfast food format. If Waffle House is closed, SHIT GOT REAL.
I knew covid was serious before waffle houses were shutting down but they really drove it home.
Stardew Valley is for android, even cheaper than PC. You could also download John GBC or another emulator and some old Harvest Moon roms to play on your phone, too.
>It seems you can’t buy anything with them
Not true. It's a currency, just like anything else, and there are many websites that accept btc. Off the top of my head, the only thing I can say with 100% certainty can be bought with BTC is NordVPN, but that's just because my memory is shit. There are a lot of things. Also, it's often used for donation sometimes.
(This image is photoshopped btw. Koala's teeth look nothing like that. I think it's a dog's jaw. Also, original image here)
For some additional context, Wally Funk was tested as part of what is now referred to as the "Mercury 13," which was a group of women who underwent the same rigorous medical testing as the NASA's first (all-male) astronaut class at around the same time. The program was a private endeavor by the doctor who created and administered the medical tests for NASA, but had no official affiliation with the manned space program. After a congressional hearing into the possibility of female astronauts, the idea was effectively ruled out for several decades until the Space Shuttle program and the flight of Sally Ride (who was also the first known LGBT+ astronaut, and remains one of only two, the other being Anne McClain). The USSR did fly the first woman in space mere months after the aforementioned hearing, however, they have only ever flown two female cosmonauts since.
You can read all about the history of American women in space in Amy Shira Teitel's fantastic book Fighting for Space.

When you set it up right, it even brings back missing features that Windows XP had, like a Folder Size column. It can even index and search network servers.
>There's absolutely no way you'll find a <$400 laptop that's more powerful than even the cheapest iPad. For most people they're just incredbily powerful and convenient media consumption/web browsing machines, and there's nothing wrong with that. Having a bigger screen than your phone is another key point. >The bonus now is that you can now handle almost any workload on an iPad which only used to be possible on full laptops/desktops. Honestly they're just an absolute pleasure and really fun to use, especially if it's fitting into your existing Apple ecosystem.
You telling me something like this isn't more powerful than an iPad? https://www.amazon.com/HP-Premium-Bluetooth-Windows-Accessories/dp/B08936FZ7G/ref=sxin_15_pa_sp_phone_search_thematic_sspa?cv_ct_cx=cheap+laptops&dchild=1&keywords=cheap+laptops&pd_rd_i=B08936FZ7G&pd_rd_r=d13d8bfd-5eda-4561-9f2f-24...
No way am I believing that. Not to mention the full versatility of having an actual OS and the ability to install whatever you want.
iPads are what they are. That's definitely not more compute for cheaper and never really has been.
Even in your case, the new MacBook air with the M1 chip is going to absolutely blow your iPad pro out of the water.
If you're buying an iPad for anything other than the form factor and ecosystem and certainly if you're buying it for the compute you're doing it wrong.
Really? I got it from the Play Store. Let me see if I can help.
My bad!! They changed the name! I'm so sorry. How dumb of me. I think this link might work.
I looked it up and y.i.k.e.s.
Reminds me of this hilarious wrong article from 1995. It's so bad that now it reads like satire, but at the time it was completely serious. https://thenextweb.com/shareables/2010/02/27/newsweek-1995-buy-books-newspapers-straight-intenet-uh/
It sucks they are different, but you can buy a six pack on Amazon for $12. That is $2 each. It isn’t crazy expensive.
It sure feels that way right?
Us humans are not logical thinkers and are subject to a whole slew of cognitive biases that play upon our cherished beliefs. And being raised in the wrong part of the world by the wrong parents with the wrong media playing daily in the background can fuck a kid up for life.
But people can and have changed with the right approach. Davis McRaney book How Minds Change is a phenomenal explainer of both why our beliefs form and change and how people have been able to influence others without deceit or trickery.
Amazon link but you can pick up the audiobook for free from your local library via the free Libby or Overdrive app.
Hope that helps!
It's not necessarily that it's a woman of color that makes it racist. Its the use of the historically derogatory "mammy" slave stereotype that makes it racist which is why other shirts with WOC on them like this would not be considered racist because it's not representing the woman in a demeaning way.
Hope this makes sense, it's complicated I realize.
I haven't thought about Mr. Wizard in forever! What a great show, I even had the book Mr Wizard's Supermarket Science which I remember being pretty cool.
Then when I was 13 or 14 I made friends with some older kids on the local pirate BBSes and one guy's handle was Mr. Wizard which I thought was an extremely cool handle for a phone phreak/16-17 year old pirate. I have no idea why my parents let me actually hang out with effectively strangers I met on local BBSes (including at least one who could drive and pick me up/drop me off at home) but, it was, as they say, a different time.
Also would probably never happen today, teens who could drive actually hanging out with a 13 year old they never met before, but meeting kids into computer hacking/phreaking/etc. at the time was pretty rare so we were a weird group of kids. None of us went to school together but we somehow kept the reason for our friendship secret from our parents, an alternate friend group I met on the pre-Internet local boards. Mr. Wizard helped me social engineer access to my first Internet account back in the text-mode days of the Internet. Thanks buddy! Shout out to the other guys in the ETA crew, I don't know where you are anymore but I hope you're doing well :D
Once Europe starts to get their continental climate back, we can have this discussion again. Buffered by the Baltic sea and Mediterranean. The region has experienced mild weather for eons. Europeans are now going to be subject to weather most of the world has been experiencing since civilizations foundations. Because of their gentle and mild weather, most of central\western Europe hasn't developed around climate extremes. Now that their systems are pushed to capacity, their democratic systems will be challenged between equity and catering to those that pay the bills.
What, mine was £300, and it's not even the best one, I got the smaller model as I don't have pets to clean up after.

But...
To look at the other side of the coin here though; like... You're criticizing Heard for her age, but does it at all raise a red flag for you that Depp decided to go after a girl who was still learning to walk and talk when he was already a famous actor? They started dating in 2011/12'ish, which means when they got together Depp was 41-42 and Amber Heard was 25-26. That's nuts.
Also, we think of her today as Depp's equal in terms of social status and resources, but that was not the case until right around when they split. She had a career going before 2017, but she wasn't necessarily super famous or super rich until she became part of the Marvel/DC universe. Johnny Depp has been famous since 21 Jump Street came out in 1987.
In fact, Johnny Depp actually picked her to be in The Rum Diary with him in 2009, which is how they met. He literally used his power and influence to give her a film role, then subsequently started dating her. Then things went pear-shaped in the relationship, and she acted out violently, and I have zero doubt that she does have her own issues to work on, like we all do, but when a relationship starts out with a massive power imbalance and a huge age gap like that, I'm generally inclined to believe that irrational behavior on the part of the younger, less experienced, less powerful partner is primarily an attempt to cope with the older, more powerful and experienced partner manipulating them.

Steam has a thing called "proton" that pretty much just let's you play windows games on linux with little to none overhead. You can see how your games perform at protondb (most do fine, mainly anticheats don't always work). If you don't use steam, you can use wine (the actual compatibility layer powering proton) with lutris. Some games have native versions as well.
It's one phone. They do have some phones that still have the jack: https://www.gsmarena.com/results.php3?nYearMin=2018&chk35mm=selected&sMakers=9
Just one the one model, but everybody is flipping the boat about it.

The Note10 and Note10+ do not have headset jacks.

Alternatively, all these phones still do ;)

Haven't used it, tried their demo account. Seems good but still needs improvement. The reason why you haven't heard about it much is because they're still in Beta version. No app for android/windows/IOS yet & if you want to make an account as of now you've to pay 5$, this payment is temporary which they'll eventually remove completely so account making will be free in the future.
Louisiana, and based on comments looks like a bunch of other states, still have colored overlays listed as an accommodation. this specific type is what I see most often and I know a lot of teachers use them with kids who have trouble visually tracking while reading. I’ve never had a student receive one as an accommodation and I was a reading interventionist for a while. We used orton gillingham.
EGS has done nothing. You can buy BL3, download it, refund it, and still play it with the game exe.

2.1%, not 1.2% which is more than enough to completely sway an election based on how these votes are distributed (especially if gerrymandering didn’t exist, which it does).
According to the John Hopkins corona virus map, there are a total of 2,828 deaths due to the coronavirus in the US so far (as of 7pm GMT on 30/3/20). That’s more than 50 times more than the number of deaths due to lightening strikes per year in the Us, in less than 3 months
> DVD players were $1k once.
DVDs are crazy. Absolutely iconic in society and culture and most people know what they are... but they lasted so briefly. They're kinda gone now. Almost all movie watching these days is done via streaming. They've been gone for so long that South Park made fun of this back in 2012.
We can also use South Park to estimate when DVDs were first becoming culturally relevant using an earlier episode from 2001 where they make fun of the rich kid for not knowing what a VHS is.
So DVDs really only lasted for like 10 years as the primary movie watching format.
Its not on the playstore.
I know this seems sketchy, thats why it too me a couple months to download and i know my word will mean nothin here but thats a legit site and if you search reddit for "youtube vanced" you can prob find other people with the same link.
I run release preview and haven't ever had any issues with windows update, I don't understand what people are doing to have issues with updates. I check for updates manually or am prompted by windows to restart when an update is installed in the background, which I can dismiss and install the update when convenient.
Updates are good, they bring security patches and new features.
Windows search bar has gotten slightly better but is still pretty lame.

Not even that for RAM. You can buy 32GB of 3200 for less than $100 on Amazon right now, in stock.
What really drives up RAM prices is collusion. There's only a couple of manufacturers (everyone else slaps modules on PCBs and covers it in a heatsink with their brand name). Every few years, those companies decide to fix their prices. They get slapped down by various regulators, pay their fines, and then do it again.
This isn't really aged like milk because the tribe are in Ecuador, not Brazil or Bolivia where the fires are. As horrific as these human-caused fires are, the news about 'half the Amazon burning' should really say 'half the Amazon is covered by smoke' from the fires. Other tribes are being invaded, slaughtered and having their land burnt by farmers and cattle ranchers in the Brazilian Amazonian states, but it has very little to do with this tribe, their land, or big oil.
Thank you for your lengthy reply to a comment that went completely over your head. You can post articles until you are absolutely red in the face. That has no bearing on the fact that the Chinese and their handling of this outbreak is the literal root of the problem. It is completely ridiculous to try to pin this on the Trump administration when it is clear that the mishandling of the situation by the Chinese government is the problem. The United States is still in the double digits of confirmed cases and Trump was very quick to restrict travel to and from the region. I am willing to let the whistleblower investigation pan out, but as it sits now, a couple of these articles are nothing more than unverified claims. Posting an article from 3 weeks ago of the President saying we are in good shape isn't a deception. Neither is saying that he expects a good outcome. We have around 80 confirmed cases as it sits right now. His claim of the vaccine was bullshit and he shouldn't have said it.
I'm sorry you aren't aware of Linux's diverse software options? With AUR for Garuda, Arch & Manjaro you can install 12,000 software packages alone. Add https://snapcraft.io/store
The Flatpak store https://www.flatpak.org/ & you have at least 20,000 choices. Office software is free, you can port it to MSOffice format so no one even notices a difference. Photoshop software is free, it uses less resources if you use the right kernel & it still has some gaming capability. Personally I have a triple boot system set up with 2 linux versions & 1 windows partition that is solely for "windows only games" that don't play nice with Wine or Steam Proton.
Linux is literally better than windows.
>Are you able to move your taskbar to the side of the screen yet? Show-all taskbar icons? What about right-click the taskbar for TaskMonitor?
Yes. I use Explorer Patcher which does all that. But then I also use Open-Shell to make my start menu more Win7, so it's not like I'm averse to dicking around with the look & feel of an OS.
Really only went for letting it upgrade to 11 because the android integration is unlikely to be available for 10 - when they eventually get around to releasing it.
Hashcat is a program that can crack passwords
One tutorial video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuhtaCgY0wc
Also has support for cracking bitcoin wallets, I wish you good luck, hopefully you didn't pick a strong password for once
Can you read an article in 1:08?
Nobody is reading the articles buddy. My whole point is that these conflicting tabloid headlines on the same topic just dilute validity.
Sure, but there are new ones still opening in the south. Apparently 16% of all of them are in Texas. Some states have none, some have 5-10, some have several hundred. Presence in a state alone is not much of a metric.

Maskulinity in general. I recommend the book Man Up: Surviving Modern Masculinity and maybe additionally something about incels.
I just finished To Start a War by Robert Draper. It goes into the deliberations by the Bush administration leading up to the war and how they basically built a fiction in their heads about Saddam and WMD (and how they basically crowded out information that would have challenged their assumptions). No one comes out looking good (including the media, congress, Colin Powell, nobody), but if the person who, by a country mile, comes out the worst in it, then it's got to be Rumsfeld. If you read this book and you saw him on the street you'd never stop slapping him.
at that point no one except Wright brothers knew how to control airplane in flight. Wright brothers did not just built an airplane they figured out the controls and efficient propulsion. Their engine was not super powerful but through study of aerodynamics they figured how to convert its power to thrust efficiently. Pretty sure that article was reaction to the failure of the Langley aerodrome and with a 120 years of hindsight it's very easy for you to say lol writer dumb cause blimps existed.
edit: next time read a book first https://www.amazon.com/Wright-Brothers-David-McCullough/dp/1476728755
Windows phone was still a better device.
Best Homescreen ever, single view, all your apps and they don't have to open for you to see updates (there was this Android clone I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nfwebdev.launcher10 that swapped notifications into the app tiles, but it doesn't work well on the Surface Duo)
The app list picker has never been beaten. The modern "scroll til you find it" rather than the option to pick your scroll position alphabetically has now only lead to an increase in time finding my app (just use search means I have to wait for a keyboard to pop up, ui wise, the windows phone was the most optimal for single screen touch interfaces)

I bought a lid that fits most of these square ones. I have a small container I use, and I keep a big one in the garage for turkey, brisket, hog roasts.
In 2018, Anthony Scaramucci wrote a book called Trump, the Blue-Collar President, where he argued that "Donald Trump and his economic policies were the best bet for our country's future". By 2020, he had completely changed his mind, saying "that experiment has failed spectacularly and tragically".
I'm not an expert by any means and I had never heard of this before. So I Googled it and found this:
I'm not sure if you have Android, and I'm not sure if even if you do have Android that it'll allow you to make it a widget on the screen.
If you want to get something similar, I searched "Quotes Widget" in the Play Store and downloaded the Bhanu Quote Widget. However, there are many more.
You can essentially find anything in Widget form. I have Couple and Cute Countdown Widgets that I use to see how long my husband and I have been together and to countdown other important dates. Searching in the store for Widgets will show you a ton.
And then if you have Android, you just download whatever ones you want, click and hold on your main home screen, and it brings up options at the bottom of the screen. Scroll to whatever Widget App you want on your home screen and click. It will usually give you options on how large you want the icon/quotes/countdowns, etc and you just click the size you want and drag it to your screen and put it wherever you want and it fits.
It's super convenient and you can do all kinds of fun customizations.
Vick’s made them at least until a few years ago. They may still make them, but I haven’t seen them in the local stores for a while. In the meantime, some store brands are still selling this formulation, such as this one.
What's almost weirder is that I see multiple other people have already responded to the above comment, which is entirely discussing this link, as though the link contains any information at all...
I found this supposedly functional YouTube link, however, it is blocked in my country due to copyright.
I saw it for sale on Amazon for like ~$4 as a DVD, and here is a link to it on Prime Video, also blocked in my country due to copyright.
This is a documentary about an United States news network that isn't available in the United States...
A little bit of "Yo-Ho Yo-Ho" because, well, what else I am supposed to do? Wait on a DVD to arrive? lmao
I'll update this comment after I watch it.

Back in 2005, Bill Cosby introduced "Change Your Brain, Change Your Life," and I really worry it's sending mixed messages these days.
