If you're Marathi, his movie "Masala" is a must watch. Subtitles are present as well, but his rural Marathi accent will make you releate to the story more. The storyline is very simple or "halka-fulka" as I call it, yet you will love it. Girish Ji and Amruta Subhash's acting along with supporting cast do justice to the characters in the movie. AirMatters and AirVisual are two Android apps I tried so far. I am mot 100% sure how accurate they are. They show the data sources for my place as "central pollution board" and "central control room for air quality management" respectively. Among previous books, I had finished reading Deep Work by Cal Newport, Mind for Numbers by Barbara Oakley. These are books you should read if you want to improve your efficiency in learning or work.

Till date, I haven't found any better resource for overcoming procrastination than Barabara Oakley's book. (I have skimmed through a lot of other books on the topic)

Generic medicines are a blessing for countries like India. The most difficult and cost-consuming part of making medicines is research. With generic, that part is readily available now. It's literally like free money to be made for India (developed countries can't make cheap generics even if they want, and other developing countries mostly don't have the infrastructure required), and we are royally screwing it up.

Indian government should really implement super, super stringent laws and regulations with the production of medicines. After all, these are medicines, consumed by sick people, sick kids (and babies). We get very peculiar with the food expiry itself, these are medicines for God's sake.

If I ever meet Modi, this will be the point I will mention. Clearly, Modi has worked out kinks and methodologies of making people work and following up in the Government bureaucracy, the same needs to be done in this business (at least this business, it not others).

Just some background about the book and my mother -

My mother started this book 6 years ago after retiring from her job as a teacher in kendriya vidyalaya. She has led of life of strict discipline, she has been a meditator all her life, even when she was a teacher she meditated 5/6 hours every day. She has never been to a cinema hall, never watched any serial on TV.

When she was 10 or 11 someone told her she will witness god if she reads Srimad Bhagavatam in 7 days, she stole money from her mother little by little over a period of few months. Then she confided in her grandfather. told him how she got the money and asked him to bring the book for her. She read it non stop and even though she was not able to read many words properly, she finished it in 7 days. She was a little depressed after that, because she witnessed no god or miracle :) So ever since her early childhood she has been a very spiritual person.
