It sounds like this is Habit Bull, based on /u/nelboo's comment in this thread.
Edit: Oh shit, you are /u/nelboo... Props to you dude, I took a look at Habit Bull and I'll be trying it out!
I highly recommend the app Habit Bull (or something similar) to track this sort of thing. It lets you put a calendar widget right on your home screen, which shows your current "streaks" of performing various habits. It becomes kind of a game, once you have a streak built up, you will be way more reluctant to let it break.

Good luck to you too!
Here's another app that you may like if your list keeps growing, or if you want a different kind of app (that lets you keep going past 49 days): HabitBull
What productivity apps do you use? I have paid versions of Habitbull and Pomodoro Timer.
There's this one I used for a little bit before I got my new phone
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
I still think Balanced is the cream of the crop though because the more urgent activities are brought to the top of the list.
You can do this! I'm with you! Just start small, 1 week, then a month etc.. It's easier if you set small achievable goals.
I can recommend this app for Android as a way of tracking, it has built in Reminders and stuff:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
"Habitbull" is the best for bad and good habits even reminding events https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull&hl=en&referrer=utm_source%3Dgoogle%26utm_medium%3Dorganic%26utm_term%3Dhabitbull&pcampaignid=APPU_1_dSRKVYasMIKpsAHPnIHoDg
Habit Tracker (formerly called Habitbull)
You do things like simple Yes/No for the day, a few times a day like you describe, or more specific figures like weight or volume. For example, I was using it to make sure I was consuming enough protein. One day it could be 89 grams, another could be 123 grams.
Another thing I like is that you can set per week goals. So if I want to meditate 4 times per week I can set it as such & not have to check in every single day. And if I overachieve it will count towards my total percentage. Lots of ways to modify it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
I use an app called Habitbull that does exactly this.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
(apparently called habit tracker on the play store). It seems the app is out for iOS as well
Basically, what it does, is you set a goal and then you can choose how many times you need to do it to be successful within a certain time period. I have "I went to the gym today", which needs to be a success 4 times each week and "I did not eat any sweets today" which needs to be a success 6 days each week. As long as I mark enough days as successes, my streak doesn't break even if I do eat sweets once a week.
I use the HabitBull Habit Tracker
There's already a lot of pre-existing habits that users are sharing and you can export your history to CSV and find patterns.
Started using habit bull instead of loop. Loop only has a positive check while habit bull also has a failure check. Having to check some habit as failed makes more difference than I would've guessed. Maybe this will help other too.
Maybe check out a habit forming app? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull&hl=en (I haven't tried this one, it's just the first one that came up). There you could set goals like "no eggs/ dairy/ meat" that day :)
This to apps help me to wake up better. With timeTune you can create morning ritual(sequence alarm for taks). My routine pushups-water-make bed-Shower-Plan 3 most important task for day. When you hear first task starting i jump out of bad its like crazy race with time every taks have their time and no pause between them. Just remember this is not magic it will take some time. I use it everyday and i more productive then ever
I've used HabitBull for some time now. It's pretty flexible in terms of setting up habits (you can define success in positive or negative terms, outright or according to frequency within a defined time period, add notes, etc.) It has a simple chart display built in, and the data can be exported to a CSV file. It has a decent widget too.
there is a nice app for android called HabitBull:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull&hl=en
I find it hard to be consistent and this app makes my life easier.
There are a number of apps to form or break habits. Last week I read a post by someone who used an app called habitRPG, which I guess gives you points and level ups for sticking to your goals (I didn't try it, though). I downloaded HabitBull, which lets you set up habits you want to acquire or lose, along with metrics for success. They have a number of "popular" goals, including nailbiting. I have it set up to count a day a success if I bite my nails no more than once. Every time I catch myself, I launch the app and increment today's value by one. I can now look back at the "score" for each day, along with which days were successful. I managed a 6-day streak of successful days, which I don't think has happened in over a year. Unfortunately today I relapsed. It will be some time before I can say if it helps long-term, but now I have a more immediate goal: beat my 6-day streak. What I hope helps me is the accountability. There is an immediate record of every time I bite my nails or the skin around it. As a result, it is paramount that I actually log every instance, which has been trickier than I expected. On the other hand, seeing quantifiable progress is rather motivating. Small bonus: I have done 30 push-ups every day for 8 days now :)
I've been using HabitBull lately and it's been working a treat! It has daily notifications (can be set to specific days, or at specific times only) and lets you track all your habits, including a graph with all your progresses since you started.

Found it: HabitBull
Sorry yes there is an Android version! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
>Hi, a couple of things about me before I start. >I am currently extremely weak, both physically and mentally, to the point that my every-day interaction with others, especially women I'm intersted in, is governed by anxiety and uncertainty on what to do or how to (re)act. >
Women are the last thing you should be focusing on right now. You need to fix yourself before you start worrying about them. You've got a lot of work to do, my friend.
>However I want to better myself and I firmly believe that TRP can help me with that (eventhough the thought of just having to "suck up" my problems seems too far fetched for me right now). >
Have you started reading the sidebar yet? Start with that. Once you finish reading it, start again and read it top to bottom one more time. After you have read it at least twice then go looking for amplifying materials. Specifically, I recommend No More Mister Nice Guy. It is written in very easy to digest chunks.
>But I do need a point to start. Where can I start learning how to work with the expectation women have?
Start by completely forgetting that women even exist. Ignore them. They can do nothing for you in your current state, and will actively hamper your attempts to improve yourself.
>I currently feel like I'm in no capacity to actually apply all the tips and tricks I've read on TRP right now, what do I have to do to find the inner strength to do this? >
Pick one minor change to make next week. Maybe cut one soda out of your diet per day. Maybe start tracking calories. Maybe take a thirty minute walk. Do something. I recommend the app Habit Tracker as a good place to begin developing positive habits.
>I hope I have conveyed my current situation clear enough, but if there are any questions, feel free to ask them. > >Edit: To be a little bit more precise, I expect a lot of comments to be like "start eating healthy" or "start working out", but I fear that I will have to start one step lower than that, as I find myself actively discouraging myself from doing those things because it keeps me from facing my anxiety.
Gotta stop making excuses, dude. You're the only person you're going to be with 24/7 for the rest of your life. If you don't get unfucked and make yourself happy, no one is going to do so for you.
Two thumbs up OP!
For those curious about the app, Habit Bull
Yes you can download the Android version here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
Yes there is: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
sorry about that :)
I like Habit Bull https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
I just want to add to this, if OP has a smartphone, there's an easier way. The HabitBull app helped me in forming habits.
I get it. I also used this one for a while, it looks nice and has plenty of statistics
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
That sounds exactly like Habitbull
Sorry yes there is! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
There already is one, I actually built that one first but then decided to switch to iOS! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
I'm using HabitBull for personal goals.
What about:
or Rewire
or HabitRPG
EDIT: And well if it is really about drinking water ... go with Hydro Coach
There are several keep-the-chain habit apps in the Play Store. My favorite by far is Habit Bull.
Hey guys, saw this here and thought I'd give me two pennies. I've always wanted to have clean teeth and here's what I do now, some friends have commented that I have visibly white teeth and have asked for the same information that I'm about to give you now. Please note that I am not a dentist, nor am I claiming to be one, this is the anecdotal evidence that I've found through my experience of getting white teeth.
Use a Pre-Brush Whitening Mouthwash. I use this one. It was recommended by my dentist and I use it before I brush my teeth in the morning and the evening. I either use my watch, or my cell phone and keep a timer for 60 seconds. 30 seconds on the bottom, 30 seconds on the top. Spit, and then clean your tongue using a tongue scraper to get rid of that halitosis. The important thing about this is to get something with Hydrogen Peroxide, this tends to break down whatever yellowness I have on my teeth.
In the mornings I use floss to get in between my teeth. Most people do not like putting floss in their mouth because it feels as if you're fisting yourself which isn't the best feeling in the morning. To those, I suggest flossers. There are two types, the ones that are about 2.5-3 inches long and are pretty cheap, and then the ones that are the size of a toothbrush, I prefer the latter.
Brushing. The main event. For this, I use a Braun automatic toothbrush, it "chirps", or stutters, every thirty seconds. If we break the mouth up into 4 quadrants, you have your left bottom, right bottom, right top, and left top. ADA recommends brushing your mouth for 2 minutes, twice a day. How convenient: 30 seconds for each quadrant of your soon to be pearly whites. After the two minutes has elapsed, wash your mouth out with water, and clean your tongue again with the tongue scraper
After brushing, you'll feel like you're done. You're almost there. What we want to do now is ensure that you have enamel when going throughout the day. I prefer to use a whitening mouthwash that has fluoride in it to re-establish the enamel that the hydrogen peroxide might have broken down. Similar to the pre-wash, wash 30 seconds on the bottom, 30 seconds on the top, spit, clean your tongue one last time, and grin from ear to ear.
TL;DR - Wash with a prewash (one minute), floss (once a day), brush (two minutes), postwash (one minute), profit
The most important part of this is consistency. I used the app Habitbull to make sure that I brushed twice a day, EVERY DAY. Your dental hygienist will be amazed if you stick to this routine. Mine was!
Is Habitbull this one?
I've just started using HabitBull and I really like it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
If you want to go the phone route, there's nice habit-forming Apps, like "Habit-Bull" for Android (the only one I used before)
it exists! I built that one first and then decided to switch to iOS :) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
Yep! I built that one first but then decided to start working on an iOS version.. Here it is :) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
What about:
Habitbull. I've tried loads of apps but this endures, and has been effective for me. It's not even called Habitbull any more on Play Store, but here is the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.oristats.habitbull
