Fair, there's a lot of promo pop-ups: seasonals, quest-combos, etc. There should be a setting; I don't think there is, I poked around some. But one doesn't simply TURN OFF BAILEY! She's the sweetest person I've ever met (she's a real person - I've met her)! She has her own appreciation guild. Embrace the Bailey.
The feature to hide the header bar is under Settings -> Site (https://habitica.com/#/options/settings/settings ). There's "Show header" that, if you untick it, does that same thing as your CSS code, and "Sticky header" that controls whether the header is fixed to the top of the viewport or not.
Here's one section of the site that might help: Go to https://habitica.com/user/settings/api Click on 'Data Display Tool' link (down under Third Part Apps) Enter your ID/token and click 'Fetch my Data' There are a bunch of pages there. Habit Trends is kind of similar to what you want.
Other than /u/lenfire (the creator of HabitRPG) I don't think many of the developers hang out in this subreddit, even he does only every once and a while. Granted it is an open source project so I could be wrong as I don't know all of the coders.
This feature has been requested many times but it's not something that is easy to impliment as you have to have it remember streaks, lvl and other things to make sure rewards and levels are adjusted accordingly. It is on the list of things coming up to be done. You can veiw the trello card here: https://trello.com/c/CaAm7APS/60-recording-tasks-record-yesterday-s-activity-undo-button-manual-day-start-select-multiple-targets-batch-edit
Personally I wouldn't be suprised to see it not implimented for a long time, if ever, just because of the technical challenges involved.
In the mean time you can fix your streaks, gold, and experience level all manually should you forget or you can make it so that your dailies apply to yesterday by saying "Yesterday I did..." and checking them off the following day.
The Habitica devs don't frequent this board -- requests should be made on the Trello board, which on the website can be found through Help > Request a Feature.
Everything in Habitica is open source, so if you are handy with code, you could help make this a reality yourself! :)
Have you tried posting it to the Feature Request Trello? It may be a while before it gets looked at (most of the volunteers are busy working on fixing bugs and things), but at least then there is a record of it.
I use myfitnesspal to log calories, exercise, weight, etc.
This is my HabitRPG setup with the relevant habits/dailies/to-dos emphasized.
Hope this helps. :)
Hi all, Habitica mod here. We're aware of this issue and working to fix it now. In the meantime, several users have reported that using a link to a page other than your tasks helps (e.g. https://habitica.com/groups/tavern ) .
Oh nice the RESTful interface description looks imensely useful.
Especially:

I am not a professional programmer, although i used matlab, C, R and VBA on multiple occasions. Actually i used R to fetch market data from Eve-Online to get a better grasp what items to buy and sell so this could work in a similar way.
Thank you for the ressource i think it will suffice for a simple script :D
Well.. I don't know if you missed the "(source)" link on that line. The code itself has lots of comments throughout to explain what it's doing.
Have you worked with a web API before? This is the RESTful interface description.
Have you done any programming? Scripting? If you're familiar with a particular programming or scripting language, the full list should help you find something to quickly learn a^[1] method of access to the API.
^[1] It might not be an ideal bug-free method, but there's probably something out there that works.
Don't think anything exists. I imagine most people here already have a party and would be unwilling to leave it for another (myself included). Anyone who doesn't have one usually posts when they want one. I'm not aware of any Reddit-specific parties. I think a guild would probably be more fitting - but I've just done a check and, lo and behold, one already exists for this sub! I don't recall anyone posting about it before, but looks pretty active.

Melatonin, I no longer disturb you!
Sadly it wasn't helpful enough, it needs a minus button for not completing it.
PM me your User ID from this page here. We are an active group of five randoms. Everyone is an academic except me who works fulltime but I also study in almost all of my free time.
That's generally what I would have thought, but looking through their API docs (https://habitica.com/static/api), I don't see any methods of actually getting the initial user User ID and API key, both of which are required for almost every API request.
Always check HabitRPG's trello It's listed under the User Interface section and is currently "On hold."
I hope that helps!
It's hard to fix what you can't measure: If you don't already, consider using a sleep tracker (I'm a fan of Sleep as Android). This way, your alarm will go off when it's most likely to actually wake you up.
Unfortunately the official HabitRPG app doesn't let you use your skills/spells.
Thankfully all is not lost (if you are an Android user)! The last couple of weeks I have been working on an app to do just this, and published it yesterday.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.npike.android.habitspellcaster
> Spell Caster for HabitRPG - Spell Caster is a companion app to the HabitRPG game that let's you cast your characters spells while on the go!
Give it a try and let me know what you think/suggestions!
In addition to the workarounds listed here, you could request it to be a feature through the trello, which can be found on the site through Help > Request a Feature! :)
I followed /u/ptdaisy333 's advice and checked the Trello.
https://trello.com/c/kcuVB0ZM/223-if-this-then-that-ifttt
It's been in progress for 2-3 years maybe? someone seems to have maybe gotten some working code and, someone seems to have maybe gotten it working on Zapier (very similar to IFTTT) but, it looks like actual support on live is definitely stalled at the moment.
Nice post :)
Have you taken a look at the Request a Feature Trello board for Habitica. They're planning on adding more site difficulty settings, you might want to take a look, maybe pitch in with your opinion.
What could happen is when you check a checklist item off, it could give you the reward for that item immediately instead of a large sum at the end. But it would have to be coded differently so there was 0 chance for drops, and I'm not sure how hard that would be to code. You can suggest/request things here though =)
After I made this reddit post I looked into the trello board and there it stated that the anki extension has been given up by the creator or smthng. I couldn't find anything about a newer version
If you're asking if that sort of feature already exists then the answer is no.
If you're asking for this feature to be added to HabitRPG, then you might want to look at the Trello board, which can be accessed from Help -> request a feature, and see if someone else has already requested something like it and what the response was or whether they plan to add it.
Ahh, this question is 4 days old and I hope you've found your solution, but if you haven't, click on the banner for the subscription gifting or the 'Gift a Subscription' link at the bottom of this link: https://habitica.com/user/settings/subscription. On the app, it's the 'Subscription' tab and the same deal, scroll to the bottom to the 'Gift Subscription' blue link.
Then, enter the username/user id you want to gift the subscription to. Your subscription will be given to your account immediately after gifting to your friend.
As someone who has been using the game for 12 months now after a few month stint before that where I didn't really participate, here are the changes I made:
I was never able to get in the swing of custom rewards either, I never really tried though.
Changing classes allows the player to pick a new class and reallocate attribute points. This option costs 3 Gems and is accessible on the Settings page (Settings direct link) on the website or settings icon in the top of the menu on the Android and iOS app.
So definitely don't die down to level 10. Just spend the 3 gems :)
There's a custom day start setting at https://habitica.com/user/settings/site (I have it set to 1am), it should use your local time. Only after that one has passed, "cron" will trigger on the next request (it does not trigger automatically, which might affect your party). I guess "Habitica on mobile" is some kind of app? (Robot? Fruit? Wall openings?) My Android app has the same setting behind the gear icon, almost at the end of the list, between "Reminder Time" and "Push Notifications".
I got this answer from server:
Request URL: https://habitica.com/api/v3/user/auth/social
Request Method: POST
Status Code: 500 Internal Server Error
Remote Address: 23.99.9.199:443
Referrer Policy: no-referrer-when-downgrade
{"success":false,"error":"InternalServerError","message":"An unexpected error occurred."}
In case you haven't already, be sure to check out the Party Wanted Guild or Party Wanted International -- they're a little higher traffic so it might help find you some new members :)
You can use the Habitica Official User Data Display Tool (just click Data in the Habitica web site's menu) to show a task's ID -- go to the Task Overview display then click toggle developer data. Note that this will only display top level items, not checklist items.
I'd wondered about the colons in the API. They seem to indicate variables -- they don't appear to be documented as not to be explicitly entered.
I am not sure I have time to dig into this project at this time, but I do want to see it happen. Is there any help I can give you? I am an experienced programmer but I haven't worked specifically with Alexa. I have worked in Node.JS, C#, and Java.
