I've considered that hardness may be an issue. It's between one of the many wooden options and the Grifiti Fat Wrist Pad for me. Maybe the Grifiti is one you might enjoy.
HHKB Hybrid Type-S modded with:
The sound profile is still a bit new for me to get used to. I still hear the "thocks" but they sound much lighter, probably due to the geometry of the mx mounts as well as the thinness of these POMs caps. Still gotta sleep on how I feel about BKE domes but I really like them so far -- super bouncy and tactile but light (I got the ultra lights) and just a lot of fun.
I used the wrong screws for pcb (from another keeb) and didn't realize until I finished installing everything. Somehow it magically worked... go figure. Also forgot that POMs don't come with 1.5u mods lol riiiip...
Overall it was really fun mod and really my first time doing real modding. 9/10 experience would recommend.
It's a Lenovo Tab P11 Pro, and it's just the regular folding case. For the keyboard I use the clear dust cover from Fujitsu + a "gun sock" from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013LM2P6/
Used the combo for years and this bag goes through hell, never had a problem with the keyboard.
This is actually an Android device, the Lenovo Tab P11 Pro. I got a good deal on it over Memorial Day + a work discount. 2k oled screen, okta-core proc, 6GB RAM, 128GB on-board storage (+1TB Micro SD card), for under $400 US shipped. I have zero complaints, and don't feel bad about biking around with it.
To keep the board from getting too dinged up I use the HHKB clear dust cover from Fujitsu + a "gun sock" I snagged for cheap on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0013LM2P6/
I've used this combo for years with no issue, and this keyboard goes EVERYWHERE with me.
There are several options here, I went to a hardware store and got something like this make sure it’s no more than 3mm in thickness so you can pad as much as you can and in the cases of thicker places you can stack it because it has adhesive...
I’ve tried both a nice cedar wood wrist rest I bought off Etsy for too much money and also this one from amazon:
Grifiti Fat Wrist Pad 12 Inch Wrist Rest for .75 Inch Thick Small Mechanical Keyboards, MacBooks, Laptops, and Notebooks (Wide 12 x 4 x .75) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004DANDN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_CrAUFbMBHPMP0
The one from amazon I will buy over and over again as I need to. I love it.
Hi, I'm not sure it is allowable to post a link here.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07QNT5ZHZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I used this one and it’s great.

Not sure if you're looking for any more accent color, but Perixx sells replacement balls for the M575/MX Ergo trackball, and they have a glossy/sparkly lavender one that would probably be a close match to what's on your desk already:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B084RQMB2V/ref=twister\_B07YYS5L1M?\_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I got these for my HHKB and I like them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07WKGK3ZY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
There are a couple of color ways on Amazon
They look like the official PFU set. I've got the same ones. It comes with blank and non-blank (as pictured in OP). Here is an Amazon listing for it. https://www.amazon.com/PFU-Color-HHKB-Professional-PD-KB400KT01/dp/B00HC2W0FC
I'm a huge fan of the current edition of dust cover (the one with the cutout blockers in the lower corners), doubly so when used in conjunction with a gun sock:
https://www.amazon.com/Knit-Handgun-Silicone-Treated-Handguns/dp/B0013LM2P6/
That combo is my main mode of carry when I'm throwing my HHKB in my backpack or sling bag.

Otherwise, I feel it benefits from a wristrest, but which one is a matter of preference. I've been using the leather-covered PFU rest and it's amazing, but hard to get a hold of these days.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08DKQSJXW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I use that one and it works well.
you should get a Griffiti fat wrist pad imo, the 12 inch one matches my hhkb pro 2 perfectly.

You can find these and use a proxy for the purchase. They're custom made for your version of the HHKB. I used fromjapan, but any proxy purchase agent would do. If you manage to find them, bird electron made two very nice cases, the hardshell being impossible for me to find. Might be worth looking into.
Sure!
Khanka Hard Travel Case... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QNT5ZHZ?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
It fits the hybrid s really well. I trimmed the foam on top in order to accommodate for the rise in height on the top row.
I currently use this case, it was recommended on this sub previously. It is a perfect fit and less borders.

I don't read Italian, but they're listed as PFU and appear to be original. Compare with:
Let me introduce the ultimate battery for HHKB:
TENAVOLTS AA Batteries, Lithium Rechargeable AA Batteries and Charger, 1.8h Fast Charge, Constant Output at 1.5V, 2775 mWh, 1000 charge cycles. It is the best rechargeable battery I’ve seen no matter to whom it is compared.
I dont know if it would help you for this, but I had found these previously, which were the blank sets from PFU: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/PD-KB400KTWN-Non-Engraved-Professional-English-Layout/dp/B00FQ5FZNQ/ref=sr_1_25?dchild=1&keywords=HHKB&qid=1628345173&sr=8-25
I am really keen to see how my experience goes as well for the incoming set that I’ll be using. I’ve seen some post here with the full Biip sets, thinking that it was a popular choice, but i guess not!
Thanks again for all your input, it helps a lot more with clearer markers on how you guys are considering the experiences of it.
I saw a 70 Duro on Amz, will it work better?

Another option Amazon DE ... sold by PFU (EMEA) ... in UK ... warehouse in EU :-D
https://www.amazon.de/Hacking-Keyboard-Professional2-Mechanical-Compact/dp/B07KFM9VQ3/
... I think than Amazon has (mostly) a final prices.
Nice! I'm not sure about your size of your laptop keyboard but this cheap thing worked for my surface pro 2 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08BWWLWCJ/
Not a stupid question at all - I purchased a set from mechmarket sub-reddit.
However - you can surely buy brand new set on amazon - PFU Keycaps - yes they are OEM.
I looked up loc dots and it's very close to what I wanted but it covers too much of the key. Browsing around for related products and I found this, "HI Mark -TM Tactile Pen - Black". It's a "pen" that gives a raised texture to flat surfaces and the reviews are promising. I'll have to give this a go. Thanks for the lead!
I got a set few years ago from Amazon. Looks like they still sell them.
https://www.amazon.com/PFU-Key-Top-White-PD-KB400KTW/dp/B00FPGOZTQ
I don't know about KBD Fans but if they are not PBT with dye sublimated printing, I'd skip them.
This is my current recommendation, as something which caught my eye and having tried their TKL version (Non-Slim) and finding it to be good.
PSA: I do not own an HHKB yet, however when I do buy one as a Christmas for myself, I'll probably be picking up one of these too.

Good deal. Hope you did overnight - it's like $4 more.
Also, I bought this a few years ago but never really used it...but now with the keyboard cover, it slides in quite nicely (Hybrid). A little tight, but stretches well. Perfect for light travel since it holds the cover on...it's just a fabric sock, but does all I need. Made in the US too!

Melbourne here, I’m getting my friend in Japan to proxy for me as we speak. I’m getting the Type S Hybrid, vibration mat and cable from PFU. I have this wrist rest coming in the mail too
I’ve got this carrying case that works great for the pro2. It’s got an extra front pocket to hold cables and what not. The board + lid fit well in it for extra protection.
I've found some OEM keycaps on Amazon recently:
Green or blue PFU R2 modifer sets
Latter set shipped fast, at least for me. Arrived ~1 week.
I use one of the cheap foam ones from Amazon. It's almost the exact width and height of the HHKB. The one pictured in the Amazon ad has some obnoxious writing on it, but the two I ordered came without any markings at all. Here's mine.
I was able to find something similar on Amazon! I'll share the link in case anyone else is interested.
It’s the official kit from PFU, that come with the extraction tool and 4 keycaps (escape and control with and without print). I found it on amazon, was the fastest from France. Here is the link on American amazon : https://www.amazon.com/PFU-Color-HHKB-Professional-PD-KB400KT01/dp/B00HC2W0FC/
The next keycaps I ordered are from eBay, but will take more time to arrive. French amazon have less choice. They are nice web site selling keycaps but can be a nightmare to ship to France.
About keyboard usages, I started using the HHKB Lite at end of 90’s, the Pro 2 since some years, and my Pro Hybrid is my main keyboard now ... it’s a pleasure to use it with my iPad Pro, so I take it with me everywhere I go 😇
Buy a sorbothane foam sheet from Amazon and sandwich it between the plate and PCB and it’s literally a night and day difference. Foaming your keeb is just as important as clipping and lubing stabs and switches.
Buy sorbothane on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0084EXBFA
Before and after sorbothane: https://youtu.be/ZaCm9sQnX4M
Yeah, I never saw the blank keys restocked - but it wouldn't surprise me if they had 1-5 and they just went very quickly. Worse case, you can probably find some second-hand keycaps somewhere.
The best price right now is going to be Amazon sadly - if you're hoping to effectively 'preorder', you can do so for $320 + tax; $17 cheaper than Fujitsu.
I imagine that will eventually change too.
Edit: If you're interested in it, you might want to order it now just in case. That link goes in and out of services - it wasn't working yesterday. Amazon doesn't charge till it ships, so there is very little risk.
