You don't have to use them all. I used to just use the rinse aid, but this shows what they offer. You can probably get most of them at your local grocery store/Walmart etc..

I'm just going to leave this here.
It will change your life. Basically, you fill it with the desired amount of charcoal, and put a source of fire underneath. Personally, I use the Weber lighter cubes but you can use newspaper or even the cooking oil paper towels mentioned in your linked video. The advantage is that the coals get ready much quicker and you have more flexibility as to the location/size/shape of your charcoal pile.
Just one word of caution: make sure you have some gloves when you dump the chimney. The handle gets pretty hot despite the heat shield.
Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain
There's a shift that needs to happen, a shift in the way you see things.
This book explains it and lets you progressively experience it.
Oh!!! I just read about this in The Food Lab!
Directly from the book: “Eggshells are porous: they lose about 4 microliters of water a day to evaporation while simultaneously taking air into the space between the sheep and the inner membrane near the fat end. In very fresh eggs, the air space is tiny and the egg will sink to the bottom of the bowl and lie on its side. As eggs get older, the air space will grow, so old eggs will sink and then stand on their points as the air in the larger end tries to rise. If you’ve got an egg that floats, it’s probably past it’s prime and should be discarded.”
The book really is an incredible read, whether you cook a lot or not. I would absolutely recommend it.
Edit: between the SHELL not sheep
White vinegar if you got it laying around could help, and
if you want to take the next step. I use this, works great.
There's a powerful tool called FFMPEG, that's widely known as a command line tool. If command line isn't the thing for you, there's handbrake, or an ffmpeg tool another redditor made
We also have this problem with our major separation anxiety dog. In all of our apartments we rented, I would just add wood filler and paint and we always got our deposit back. Sometimes it would take multiple layers of wood filler (sorry management companies...) I finally found a product on amazon called claw shield that I put on doors/door frames and that’s been helpful. I also put it in all of our stair railings so our cat won’t scratch on them.

Use the lightest color first, then blend the next darkest shade in until you can't notice it. Then just hope no one notices it.
This also works. that's what I've seen used at least.
The flat portion pins to the curtain and the hooked part connects to the rings illustrated in OP's photo. The drapery I've seen used with this has a hem at the top, with small holes for the pins to go into.
The last time I saw something like this was at my grandparents house.

because then you have to have snips or pliers, and if you're taking one cable out, and putting it back together, all the ties go in the trash, and you have to replace them. Velcro you just unwrap and rewrap and you're done. or even just loosen them.
ties also tend to kink cables, as there's no give to them until they break. And after being in use for a while they get brittle. especially if they're in a location with sunlight.
We use these. They're cheap, thin, they don't generally collect much debris, and it's the smooth-ish sort of velcro that doesn't scratch or grab as stuff. If you've got extra cable you can just loop it and velcro it in place. And when you need to adjust things, you just take it off, and either put it back, or roll it back on the roll.
Eventually you get enough around that you really don't hardly ever need to buy any more. Just about any project recovers as many as go into it.
If you want something for looks, I'd recommend this stuff. Easy to apply, easy to unwrap, and looks nice. Cable can enter and leave through the slit along the whole length, or just run out the end.
Lots of things, but you might want to check the clearance first. Try some sanding. You can also think your paint a little. Adding a lubricant is going to add some thickness to whatever you apply it to. Try removing stuff first.
You can use something dry like silicone, graphite (in a bind yes, you can use pencil shavings. Black part only), or hexagonal boron nitride (I love this stuff). Waxes will work too, but I don't think you'll be happy with them.
You can also get away with liquid lubricants like teflon (I'd go with this) or a grease/spray.
Just get some backing patches like this and iron them on the inside. It will fix the fibers and not let it unravel anymore, and you can't see the patch from the outside.
They have them at local craft and hobby stores too, probably cheaper than shipping them online.

Looks like unstained oak. I think a light sanding and two coats of polycrylic wipe on would make it pretty much unnoticable. I'd actually try the poly without sanding first, just to see how much it covers it up.

"Assembly of Japanese bicycle require great peace of mind." - Robert Pirsig, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance.
I say this not to be trite but to show how universal the problem is.
My own peace of mind was finally attained when I got to work with a fellow who just didn't get flustered; it was like it never occurred to him.
It took a couple of years for me to understand. Now I take this for granted: It doesn't win.
If I'm wiring a ceiling fan, working on my chainsaw, my faucet, whatever there is no doubt in my mind about my eventual success. If not only because I have intelligence and it doesn't.
This clears up a lot of issues from the start, like fuck yeah, it's gonna throw a shitty problem my way. I just know it, so there's no surprise when it does.
But it doesn't win. I'm going to get the job done, one way or the other.
That's just how I look at it now, though. It works for me, and actually it makes everything smoother because I'm not worried anymore about how it's going to turn out. I've got the focus and the peace of mind because it doesn't win.
Edit: shit, I wrote this long philosophical answer before reading your explanation. Ha, joke's on me!
If you ever get a hold of a plastic syringe
you can suck water in that would fill it about 1/10 measurement.
Then cover the tip with your thumb to create a seal.
Pull the piston backwards slowly, creating a vacuum. The further back you go, the more the water will boil.
It's a fun little experiment, there is some math involved with the amount of water and the size of the syringe, I normally use a 10 ml one, that comes along with fluid medicine for kids, and I do it with 1/10 capacity.

To make the toffee filling for Banoffee pie (I'm not sure how it's different from dulche de leche), you just put the can right in a pot of boiling water. It seems crazy, but I have made it dozens of times and it's completely safe (just let the can cool down before opening it, because it can splatter).

OpenStreetMap is truly free and open. You can contribute a considerable detailed amount to improve the maps. The truly free part comes in where you can actually download and use the OSM data as you please. It sounds like you may enjoy the active contribution piece, it totally could be worth a try to help out OSM. At all levels of detail you can go in and improve what's there, you could even add whole roads or structures.
Google's free isn't free, it's closed source and the data isn't there to use and edit. It's doesn't cost a dollar amount but you shell it out with all the background data and data mining google scrapes from you. You can really dive and say you were a part of OSM and you know the only data they get is the data you give them vs google's ecosystem of adds and data mining.
I like google maps and use it but the reason I went on about OSM is the contribution piece, you may get better feels playing in that sandbox.

the old style lenses were glass but those haven't been made since the 70s Most since then are mainly plastic with coatings. There are a few holdover glass ones but those are coated specialized lenses and they weigh a ton. They're most likely plastic with a glare coating.

I have my A+ (had to get it for a college course long ago), so I can tell you that unless you are very involved in desktop support, studying will be needed. There is material covered that isn't day to day support that you will need to know.
Pro-tip: you can use the Google Docs viewer to generate an HTML version of most PDFs. Here's a more accessible version of your article.
You download a launcher and then you will set it to be the "default" launcher instead of whatever the phone came with.
The settings are within the menu of that particular launcher and allow you change basically anything:
All of this is through adjusting the settings from within the app. You will inevitably spend a lot of time playing with settings.
I use Smart Launcher because it excels at easy access to my apps while still looking nice.

Your command line example isn't using the gimp add-on. It's a separate tool http://www.imagemagick.org/script/index.php

There's no exact way that I know of to do this, since Reddit Advanced Search doesn't have filters yet and the search on the actual reddit.com site won't let you do it either.
However, this Google search tends to pull up pretty much what you are asking for I think. It's basically doing a site search on reddit.com, looking for urls that contain the word "comments." This keeps you from also pulling up subreddits in general (which is what would happen if you only searched site:reddit.com). I've then filtered the dates to search for things in your specified date range. I assume google indexes all of the posts on reddit since it's a highly trafficked site, but there may be some posts that could not be included in this.
Hopefully this helps, and I can help fine tune this if you need.
I can't live without tag & rename. You can fix metadata in bulk, and you can also rename all the files using metadata. This is useful if you like to have your mp3s named and organised in a consistent way.
The program can fill metadata fields either from the file name or it can use online database searches as well to fill it in.

So I’m not sure why OP chose this one.
I recently did something like this for my mom. She ended up saving something like $30-$40 a month off her bill.
First check the FCC's digital reception TV Transition map to see what you can get for broadcast (http://transition.fcc.gov/mb/engineering/dtvmaps/). Then you can get a converter and antenna for ~$120 (that's what my mom ended up paying).
If you want more channels you can also get SlingTV for about $20 a month (https://www.sling.com). They have 23 channels in their basic package and several other packages (sports, kids, news, movies, etc) for just and extra $5 a month. HBO is $15 a month. You will need to buy a Roku device, Fire TV device, Nexus Player, or Xbox to stream it to your TV. They also have Windows/MAC/Android/IOS apps.
SlingTV is running a couple deals right now where you can get a Roku stick for free when you sign up. Or a Roku 3 or a Nexus Player for $50 when you sign up.
With the Sling TV option you will obviously still need to keep your internet but hopefully this option will save you some money and keep you entertained.
Edit: fixed a word
Dunno about VLC, but I use Media Player Classic and Smooth Video Project (SVP). It seems to work pretty great for porn, but sometimes it crashes the player if I'm jumping around too quickly. Doesn't work so great for webcams, though, so get used to turning it on and off as necessary. Also, it generally needs a decent graphics card from what I've seen. But the results are better than what you typically get from a TV, so that's always nice.
It's worth a try. If it comes right back out then shove a toothpick into the nail hole and break that off flush with the top. Then tap the nail back in with a tack hammer or something similar. You might add a bit of this for good measure.

Your best option is to throw in a VPN service, I generally recommend Private Internet Access. They use group IP addresses so they have no way to tie usage to a specific user. They provide a desktop and mobile app so you can get your phone behind a VPN.
Edit: For those interested, PIA uses OpenVPN for their clients (I'm not sure if this holds true for their mobile apps as well) so keep in mind that any vulnerabilities in the the OpenVPN version you are running will be present. I would say that you shouldn't let that deter you though, they keep the client up-to-date so you should be fine.

Once you're through it you will be able to identify methods to make cash in your unique set of circumstances - whatever they may be.
There's no first hand map app but one like this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.osmand&hl=en uses OSM data.
The main native site https://www.openstreetmap.org/ works really well from a mobile browser. So just hitting this on your phone will work.

If you're any good with electronics soldering you could rig one up? look for the delay power on circuit then to start the circuit what happens is you have a magnet on the door and a magnetic switch to make the alarm shown here then just intercept the line to the alarm with the delay on circuit and there you go. Note you can replace the smoke detector thing with just a simple piezo buzzer. They're dirt cheap and run on little voltage.
You can also get auto-closing hinges for hollow doors, it's all about the screws you use.

or KeepassX. I've always used X, as that is what is in the Ubuntu repositories, and didn't know until now that it was a fork of the original (to bring cross-platform support.)
Anyway, it's a great tool for generating and storing complex passwords. Plus, since it's stored locally, you don't have to worry about lastpass's security, just your own.

Let me preface with saying I have never bought a Schlage Prefab Repin kit.
This one on Amazon looks good for the price.
It seems to have everything. There are few complaints in the reviews:
Schlage are a little bit more money. These are the pins I buy from CLK Supply. You can try their discount code RCLP2 and that is good for 20% off all pins most of the time.

Mark and Drill new holes and re hang the door.

Just saw someone mention The Power of Habit, so I thought I'd add a little more. Basically the book describes how habits are formed and how they can be changed. There was a really good example with biting fingernails. I used to bite mine because I was bored, so I can related a little. Once you identify the trigger (what prompts you to bite) and change the routine by forcing your hand away from your mouth (sitting on them for example), it is possible to reverse that habit. The girl in the book drew tickmarks on an index card whenever she felt the sensation to bite. Here's the short excerpt: http://psychcentral.com/blog/archives/2012/07/17/the-golden-rule-of-habit-change/
I have a sad lamp. Its pretty awesome. If you ask your doctor, most will write a "Prescription" for it, so you can use FSA to pay for it, or even some insurances cover it as a medical device, in the category as a cpap machine. I had it at my old office where there were no windows, now I have it at home, next to the sofa.
The original article was basically a boring advertorial/review on Gizmodo.
This is blogspam based off that boring article.
Consumer Reports used their A/C testing facility to try these out.
After multiple runs using 8 to 12 pounds of three different forms of ice—cubes, reusable ice packs, and a frozen gallon jug of water—the homemade air conditioner was able to lower the temperature of a small room by only 2° to 3° F, and within 30 minutes the room temperature began to rise again.
The frozen jug of water was the best for cooling, apparently because it allows enough air to circulate around the jug to sufficiently cool it. And while the ice cubes initially produced the lowest air temperature, once they started melting the temperature measured outside the duct (pipe or cup) wasn’t much different than the room temperature. Again, the room temperature began to rise in 30 minutes.
Our take: Unless you want to try this DIY homemade air conditioner project for fun, you can cool off just by sitting in front of a fan and forget the bucket and the ice.
Some points:
It's possible to DDoS a system via ping, but only if the attacker is sending ping requests without waiting for replies. By default, Windows waits 4 seconds for ping replies. Unless the target machine is very old or there are a ton of other machines pinging it at once, you'd be hard-pressed to take the target down this way.
The "free Internets" guide works with WEP-encrypted networks because in most configurations, the client effectively does not authenticate with the access point. This trick will not work on WPA- and WPA2-encrypted networks.
~~When hotwiring a car, you should tap the wire ends instead of "slightly touching" them. This is because there are also wires connected to things like the headlights, which I'm told can easily burn out if you hold the wrong wire to them for too long.~~

look at instructibles - I think we need a better way to organize the information. The traditional Reddit system is awesome, but beyond that, we need a way to find the things we need to find.

Reading their blog, it sounds like this is exactly what I'm talking about. An embedded pixel or link that any self-respecting email server/client either deleted the email, or moves it to junk with no images allowed to load.
http://www.yesware.com/blog/2012/07/18/how-does-yesware-tracking-work/
If you read this, they basically outline just how many gaps there is in this method anyway. You can't tell who read it if there is multiple recipients. You can't tell who put it in SPAM, or never allowed images to load, or DID allow the tracking code to load but then promptly deleted it. Again, a read-receipt is asking enough.
Really, this is just false marketing anyway. In my personal opinion, it leads to false leads, bumbling about "hot" emails that could have a million reasons for being "hot", and ultimately can lead to your domain name being blacklisted, which negates ALL progress you've made. Try getting off SORBS when you've been shown to be an unsolicited spammer.
Now, that being said, it's also truly false marketing because if you're big enough to need this, then you should have your own domain name, email server/host and web server/host. On the web server, you serve up the content and use SQL or some "Commercial Off The Shelf" tracking software to parse logs, etc and do your reporting.
This is like paying Yellow Pages for their cookie cutter websites and re-sold Google advertising credits.
1) Simply tell them to paypal you money, then share the file with them through gdocs and set it to view only. This is a no cost option. 2) You could do the kickstarter route, but you're limited in time. 3) If you want to spend some money then Gumroad is what you're looking for.

Finally, I bet the data will be in the companies backups for several years also.
This is the way to go. However I want to offer an alternative that I think is really cool. Synthesia has made a game out of the piano. The demo version is rather cut down but the full version has some nifty stuff to help you learn.

I'm using homemade Earth Boxes for the second time this year after having fantastic success with the tomatoes in my container vegetable garden last year. Can't recommend this enough. Check out this link for some great pictures. If you live in an area with a nice, temperate climate you can quickly end up with more fruit than you know what to do with.
>Apparently passphrase passwords aren't as secure unless you do really really long ones (like a paragraph) which are too big for most websites.
This is abjectly not true. You can use password strength assessors such as the one built into KeePass or basic web based ones to verify the strength of a password and a simple sentence works handily for the overwhelming majority of people for the overwhelming majority of uses.
Yes, it's irritating to have to copy/paste a mishmash of characters but that's why you create a pass*phrase* that you can remember easier, using the password manager as a backup when your memory fails.
Well, that depends on how they block it. If they use the same filter system they already use to block what the Internet Watch Foundation deems "child sexual abuse images" then the IP address will be blocked too and that method will be useless.
If they do it via that method, you can access The Pirate Bay via Tor, and while you're finding your magnet links enable the relay functionality so you can give back some bandwidth to others in need of uncensored connections.

Do you have houseplants? they sound like gnats to me, and they breed in the soil. I use these and when its bad I set them sticky side up on the soil - they catch tons

For cheaper than that... You might have to make it yourself or go for a manual option.
These are either MDR-7506 or the MDR-V6 and either way, you have a stellar pair of headphones right there. I roll the MDR-7506 myself and for the money, you won't find a better technical listening experience. If you replace your pads with the Beyerdynamic Velour Earcups you will find slightly better isolation, increased comfort, and even clearer bass. Here's a link to them on Amazon, but shop around: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016MF7W2/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_LNbZub1T1DBBB
You'll need to pry off the old ones along the edges. Once you get a bit off, the rest should slide off with it. Just be gentle with the edges so you don't bend anything out of shape and harm the isolation quality.
sorry if it's too late, but what about a leather and vinyl repair kit? it seems the biggest challenge is getting the color to match, but perhaps that wouldn't matter as much? here is the link on amazon.
