There must be an option to change lockscreen wallpaper. Anyway, try Next lockscreen from Microsoft. The thing with 3rd party app is, most of them are easy to bypass. Don't know about next lockscreen though. Check it out here. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
If you're sure that you don't have some malware, you could try downloading a different lockscreen from the Play store, like maybe Microsoft's Next Locl Screen
few different options for lockscreens if this tickles your fancy, both work great, just not my cup of tea.
Microsoft NextLockscreen https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next&hl=en
Cover: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.coverscreen.cover&hl=en
These might do what you need, good luck!
Next Lock screen has that exactly.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
But FYI, all music apps will create a notification for whatever is playing, which you can use to control your music from the lock screen.
that said, Next lockscreen does have a calendar on lockscreen mode https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next&hl=en_GB e.g. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/KXpfshkrBvcbtd38DjZIyTZgBXz1tq3tsqatlO5Paht_KSz-Ew_avMAswZ7qWlSJVko=h900
My first suggestion is to actually spend time learning the ins and outs of Android. With what you are complaining about, I can tell you haven't spent enough time trying to learn Android. You just want it to work like Windows. But since Microsoft had expected things like this, they have provided solutions. Microsoft has several apps for customizing your Android phone. Give Next Lock Screen a try. It may solve some of you problems. Cortana will probably fit some of what you want too.
I don't know how glance works, so I can't suggest anything there.
For weather on the lock screen, almost every weather app available will put something on the lock screen for you if you tell it to in the settings. But since I don't know how Windows did it, I can't give you an exact app to use. If it was a full screen display, try a live weather wallpaper that will show on the home screen and the lock screen.
Android calls this sneak peak. You have to go into the settings and give each app permission to use this. And you don't need to turn the lock screen on to see what the icon is for. For one thing, each icon is designed by the app developer and is unique to that app. Second, just swipe down from the top of the screen and pull down the notifications.
Most of the media apps have a widget with the media controls. They also have the option of putting the controls on the lock screen.
And if you really want the look of Windows, try a new launcher, like Launcher 8 Pro.
I just downloaded Next Lock Screen last night. Minimal, works well and slightly customizable with nice images to choose from.
Supports fingerprint unlock (S7 edge)

Unfortunately, you can't, since LG uses its own custom locksceen and doesn't allow that functionality, nor does it allow third-party apps to interact with it.
Your only other option is to use a custom locksceen software like Next Locker.
No. Like you said, there are only options to select a whole different look altogether. But you might be able to find an app that will do/look like you want. I think this is a good one to start with.
the Next lock screen will respond to the fingerprint reader. I use that one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
background settings are kind of glitchy with it tho, will often forget for a day or two and revert to something different, then correct itself later
Have you looked at Next Lock Screen? Its a Microsoft product, apparently voted best lock screen by a bunch of android fan sites for whatever thats worth.
In terms of security, it supports PIN, fingerprints (if you have a reader), and geofencing.
It let syou pin apps and other objects to the screen, as far as icon packs, i would think it would inherit ones already applied.

I had the Next lock screen installed on my s5, has a grey tint to the screen and provides many features you can customize on or off. Had no issues seeing my clock. Want a link?
EDIT: I'm just going to drop this here, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
Sadly Huawei has a shitty lockscreen that replaced the regular Android one. The only way to fix that would be to use an 3rd party lockscreen such as Next
Thank you, I didn't know I could do that. It seems that it's Microsoft's Next Lock Screen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next), which is odd because it doesn't have any advertisements as far as I know. It says it has saved 43.83 GB of bandwidth and blocked 1,802,231 ads. Should I just disable Ad blocking, or should I also disable the app traffic through Adguard? Is there a difference?
Unfortunately, Android doesn't have a way to disable them unless you use a custom lock screen. Microsoft has made a decent lock screen, if you want to try it: Next Lockscreen
The stock lollipop lock screen doesn't have that sort of support unfortunately, however, there are plenty of replacement lock screens however I would recommend Next Lock Screen from microsoft because it has some nice extra features and is quite stable
I switch locks screens, but usually come back to hi locker because of the trusted wifi and devices feature. But i liked next lock screen and snaplock
You can use an alternative lockscreen like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
You can put widgets on your lockscreen with this too, if you're rooted with xposed framework http://repo.xposed.info/module/com.ssrdroide.lockscreenwidgets
The lockscreen is called Next Lockscreen. I kinda feel it doesn't fit the homescreen, my ultimate goal is to make everything black and white.
Thanks for the links, Flight Lite seems to be what i'm looking for.
The first one is Next Lock Screen made by Microsoft. It's what I use. its nice.
It's an app called next Lockscreen haven't used it yet but i think that's it
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
Good choice with Nova. I've been using Nova since I got my phone basically and haven't switched since. Here's the few lockscreens I've come to like.
For some reason I feel like I'm missing one but there's four for you to test out.
I hope I won't get downvoted too much for this but I actually really enjoy Next Lock Screen by Microsoft
Next Lock screen by Microsoft is the closest BB10 lock screen I've found.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
Checkout the Next Lockscreen App. It has weather on it as well as your agenda.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
they are easy to get back though, I use this one, but there are others
I'm using Next Lock Screen.
It's simple and really nice.
Poke around the Play Store for 3rd party lock screens
Microsoft makes one called Next Lock Screen
Sorry you've been having some issues. Reminds me of my own when switching from iPhone a long time ago. Unfortunately, Android being so customizable means there are also plenty of subpar customisations available, alongside good ones.
As other have said, I'd suggest just ditching Widget Locker. May I ask why you were using it, rather than the stock lock screen? Then it might be easier to suggest something else in its place. (Though as others have said, Android doesn't allow widgets on the stock lock screen any more). But if it was showing you your emails and missed calls or something, and are dead set on using a lock screen replacement, there are other more modern options such as next lock screen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next) or picturesque lock screen (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.androidapps.picturesque) both from Microsoft, which offer weather and news and messages and etc on the lock screen. I am not certain if they have pin support but you could poke around. personally I have never found lock screen replacements to be all that appealing, but your mileage may vary.
number of clicks: others have already covered that having media controls on the lock screen (the stock one anyway) ought to be easy. I'll just add that if you are looking to improve your media experience, the apps phonograph and shuttle are too very pretty players available in the play store, as free and with a free version respectively.
On Clutter ("Between App Drawers, Widgets, System Settings, Launcher Settings, SD card, File Managers. I really want to love it, but I'm getting frustrated"). I guess it is a matter of perspective, to me this is just a list of features. For the app drawer, if I had to go back to iPhone's system of just having the home screen as one big long lost of apps, I'd go nuts. Widgets, well. they are there if you want them. Systems settings, I guess the menu is different and could be frustrating. But yes. Stick with it though!
One suggestion. Some of the old Samsung apps were real ugly. Maybe you are using them because they are what is in the phone. I would suggest you try downloading and using google's SMS app, messenger (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.apps.messaging) and the browser chrome, google's clock and calendar and calculator and keyboard, all free on the play store. What lots of people around here tend to do with older Samsung devices is try to make them closer to stock Android, which is typically prettier and better designed IMO. This is partly a way of doing that.
You can grab one into the Play Store.
Here are a few by Microsoft,
Be sure to disable the native lockscreen in settings.
OK, going to give Next a try, looks pretty useful.

It's called 'Next Lock Screen' now; unfortunately for me, doesn't work with tablets.
Found this, by Microsoft. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
So far, so good
Next Lock Screen?
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next
Can't find the one I used, but here is this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.next&hl=en
"- People: easily call or text your favorite contacts from the lock screen."
You mean Next... unfortunately it doesn't work well :/
Have you tried Next? It has everything you're looking for.
I started using this the other day.
It's not bad. Takes a little to get used to but is otherwise a solid locker.
I'm sure many of you know about the Next Lock Screen which came out of the Microsoft Garage, as well as the leaked version of Cortana. They also recently released a Launcher for Android called Arrow, you can join the Google Plus community to get it.
I also use Sunrise for my calendar (Another Microsoft product), Wunderlist for tasks (IMO superior to Google Tasks, and also a Microsoft Product). I am still using GMail for my personal email, but I use the Outlook app for my work Email which is on Office365. (Outlook for Android still needs some work, IMO).
What else is left? Clearly, my Google phone is barely a Google phone anymore. I'm even considering gulping down the last of the Kool-Aid and setting Bing as my default browser, but I don't want to get too crazy. ;)
Where am I going with all of this? I'm not sure, I'm still finishing my coffee. I guess I just want to spark a conversation around the future of Windows Phone, and Smart Phones in general. I am really really excited about this "new" Microsoft we are seeing. (Yes, I realize I sound like a fanboy.) Satya Nadella seems to be making all the right moves. Seems like at least once a week there is some new mind-blowing news (Office available on Android and iOS, OneDrive supports ChromeCast, General Electric is signing up for Office365, Office integrates with GoogleDrive... Whaaaaa???). Microsoft has become a serious competitor in the Cloud market, and I see them becoming the new dominant player in the Mobile market, regardless of the success or failure of Windows Phone.
Are we heading to a world where the Operating System does not matter nearly as much as the apps? (Is this already an old idea?) The same App is now available nearly everywhere, on nearly every platform. Microsoft has also said that iOS and Android apps will be able to be ported to Windows 10.
What does this mean for the future of Android, iOS, WindowsPhone, and Mobile in general?

Through Microsoft's official Next Lock Screen App you can have notifications on your lock screen. Works flawlessly.
