ES File manager on Android. It is by far the most comprehensive file manager on the market. The ability open my phones file structure from my PC with a couple of clicks makes transfering files a snap. I wouldn't be without it.
I downloaded ES File Explorer so I could move my content between phones over wifi without having to use the piece of junk that is Android File Transfer (and neither phone has USB 3.0, so it would be slow as well). All you have to do is make sure both phones are on the same wifi network, open ES File Explorer on both phones, select the file(s) or folder(s) you want to move to the 6P, then hit menu --> send, select the 6P in the device list, then press the send button and you can send them over wifi. I moved my pictures, videos, and downloads this way.
I also used SMS Backup and Restore to backup my texts, then used ES File Explorer to move the backup file to the 6P, then restored it.
A decent file explorer that isn't the miserably bad ES File Explorer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop) - we just want something that can map out NAS or network server so we can launch videos stored there. Thanks for asking
My tablets are glorified media players using:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en - browse your network for media
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.xbmc.kodi&hl=en - play all that media
Those I use to watch anime / movies along with the Netflix and Twitch.tv apps.
I've been trying to find cool ways to mirror content over my network, but it feels like devices like Chromecast and the Kindle Fire stick make it hard on purpose so as to get you to use their apps instead. It is possible to do though if you tinker.
I like ES File Explorer. It's a file manager, application manager, task killer, cloud storage client, FTP client, and LAN Samba client.
To access pc files from android use Network, Lan
To access android files from pc use Network, Remote Manager
> One of those Wifi transfer apps between phone and PC, instead of using a USB? I'm not sure which one /r/Android[1] likes to use, and I'm not sure how to use them. Do you need to install something on the PC?
ES File Explorer, you don't need to install anything.
It's similar to an app on Android that A LOT *Link* of people use. ES File Explorer. There's a file it adds to your phone named Baidu, and they send data to a company in China. *Link*
The reason I switched from ES File Explorer to X-Plore as soon as I found out.
MX Player can be set up to scan your device for playable media, or you can point it at your movies folder. If for some reason MX Player isn't finding your files, I would use ES File Explorer to browse directly to that folder and launch them that way. I don't have a Chromecast, so I can't comment on MX Player's compatibility with it.
It's really easy to "sideload" apps onto your phone, i.e. install them from sources other than the Play Store. The game should run on your phone even if the Play Store lists it as not compatible.
You just need the APK (Android package). Segabits has a link here, for example. Get the file onto your phone somehow, e.g. download straight on the phone, or download on PC and copy the APK via USB. Then use any file manager app to install the apk. A security warning will probably pop up, because by default Android won't install stuff that's not from the Play Store, but you can temporarily disable that feature.
Shady Chinese creepware violating your privacy, steals personal info and sends it's to Baidu servers. Paid version is a crazy subscription rip-off. Also endlessly nags you to download additional apps via non-disable-able notification bar pop-ups, annoying floating buttons etc. Bloated with a ton of unnecessary features including cleaners etc.
Play store trash to avoid like a pest.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
I do not know for certain if your Android phone will detect the SD card in the camera (although I believe that it will), but I wanted to mention that it would be helpful if the USB cable you purchase is USB on-the-go (OTG)-capable.
If your phone does not automatically detect the SD card while in your camera, you may need to install a file browser app like ES File Explorer and then use it to find the SD card directory. It would then be a matter of copying and pasting your selected photos to your phone's photo directory.
An alternate process would be to connect a USB SD card reader to your phone using the USB OTG cable. You would have to remove the SD card from the camera, of course.
Yes. Install a file explorer. I use ES file explorer, available here:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Then browse to WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images/ and create a file called .NOMEDIA
That allows you to keep the option set to download photos within the app, but it doesn't store them in gallery.
Maybe try a different file manager? ES File Manager should get the job done. If it still doesn't work, try using your computer.
If you also have an Android phone, use ES File Explorer. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
If you browser that link from a web browser, while logged into google, it will let you install it on both your phone and android tv.
Then download the rom onto your phone, and use es file explorer's SEND option to send it to the ES File Explorer that's open on-screen on your TV.
Yes. The first thing to know is the desktop the web interface at play.google.com lets you install a bunch of apps that don't show up normally in the nexus player's play store. Like ES FILE EXPLORER
I sideloaded a couple apps very easily by installing ES File Explorer on both my phone and the Nexus Player. downloading an apk into my phone then using SEND from within ES file explorer, it sees the other file explorer running on the nexus (on the same wifi network) and you can accept the apk transfer then open the file.
Insert your Micro SD card into the phone. You can do this while the phone is on and without taking the battery out. It should ask you to prepare the SD card or format it once inserted, click OK or accept to prepare it.
Download ES File Explorer and tap n hold the folder you want to "mark" it, you can then tap additional folders to mark them too. Do NOT select Android, media, Ringtones or any hidden folders if you enable that option. Then press Cut from the bottom of the screen.
Then, at the top, there will be either "sdcard" or "emulated > 0". Either way, tap near to the blue triangle mark on the right hand side and tap "sdcard1" or External SD". Once here, press paste. You can either watch the transfer, or press home and continue to use your phone and use the notification bar to check the progress.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
ES File Explorer has an FTP server function as well as being a badass file manager. I use Filezilla to transfer files to/from over WiFi.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
I'm running Hyperdrive rls20 and I've had success with this app:
It's a great file explorer with an image viewer built in that works very well. It can also open a lot of other files.
Although the stock gallery isn't giving me any problems, so it's the default for me.
ES File Explorer has a function for sending stuff over wifi to other devices on your network... dunno if that will help you in this case though. As /u/GranPC noted, you probably need root to get to those files. If you do have root though, that app will let you grab anything from just about any part of the file system.
I use ES File Explorer and it works great. Works both ways without any accounts just make a shared folder on your pc and link it in the app.
lol, i love the first line on their app store page for this app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en):
"Free, Safe, Simple, Manage your files efficiently and easily with ES File Explorer (File Manager)!"
"Safe"??? They start a webserver and serve all files unrestricted from SD card! I dont think they know what the word "safe" means.
Based on the PoC the webserver/API can be used to extract the following:
And i ASSUME, that if the victim phone is on mobile network (4G) then he will get a public IP and this webserver/API will be available to the entire world. Great!
I use this zip the files and encryption https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop not saying it's CIA proof but should protect it. Then drop the zip file into your Google drive
You may still be able to sideload it.
The folders are used by the game, they're just picked up by Photos for some odd reason (it shouldn't happen by default).
Either way, there's a very simple and permanent fix for this:
First, you'll need a file manager app that allows you to create new files (you don't have to root your device for this). I'm using the free ES File Explorer for this.
You'll have to go to the following directory: (internal storage) /Android/data/com.bethsoft.theelderscrollslegends/files/
Depending on your device and app it might also show up as /storage/emulated/0/Android/...
or /sdcard/Android/...
etc.
Create an empty file called .nomedia
(the leading dot is important). The created file won't show up by default (only if you specifically show hidden files).
Once done, the folder should no longer show up in Photos and similar maps, as long as they respect that special file pattern.
They are listed in step 2. He suggests this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
You have to be rooted and once you are rooted go to the burger menu settings and enable root explorer and check yes or grant when prompted by Magisk. This will give you access to the hidden system folder.
I mean you can make an .apk backup using like ES Explorer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
and upload the created Luga.apk to say www.uploadfiles.io or any site
thank you !!
I'm still working on balancing. I've honestly spent a lot of time for the last several weeks fixing bugs with Android 8 (Oreo), and other hard-to-track-down (and fix!) Android bugs. I have also been working on balancing the bosses and prospector (which I have taken a few passes at over the last few weeks, and is still an on-going thing).
Summary: I'm aware of the late-game balancing issues, but there is no quick fix and I want to handle it properly, so it's taking some time. :)
Would either of you be willing to send me your save file? It would be very helpful, so I can see exactly where you're at, what bonuses you have, etc.
If so, PM me and I'll give you my email address so you can send the save file over. The save file can be found at /Android/data/org.ironhorsegames.taptapdig/files/taptapdig_save.ttd and you can retrieve it either via USB, or an app like ES File Explorer. Thanks!
That's weird, perhaps you accidentally deleted a file? If it doesn't work, I would try uninstalling the game completely, and downloading everything again fully and try the renaming method after the tutorial. I would say if that doesn't work, then you can download this app to rename the files instead. People from discord confirmed it works. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Use ES File Explorer to send the app to your new phone
Alternately you can save the app's apk without root using an app and install it on the Pixel
Easy enough to use, but sometimes annoying with the ads.
I prefer this one, but it's UI is less obvious.
There's a way to manually back up your save files, although it doesn't save everything (it will not restore gems). Use a file browsing app like ES File Explorer or File Manager to navigate to your sdcard, and from there go to Android -> data -> com.bandainamcoentsailormoondropsww -> files.
Ignore the folders (those are just game assets) and copy all of the .dat files into a safe place. If you ever need to restore progress, even from a completely fresh game, you can copy the backed-up files back into the folder (make sure to overwrite the old ones) and it'll put you back to where you were when you last saved them - characters, level progress, trophies, boosters, etc. It works across devices and versions, though it doesn't transfer your ID/friendslist or, again, any gems.
It involves a little bit of work but it's the closest thing to a force-save that I know of!
I honestly haven't tried it with multiple thumbdrives, but one should work at least. As long as your version of Android (or your custom ROM) supports OTG, I don't see why you couldn't.
There are so many iterations of Android out there for various tablets that you can't say for sure that it will work natively. Even then, the "stock" Android file system browsing is not very "elegant". But The "beauty" (bane?) of Android is that even when a particular version of the OS doesn't directly support something; there is usually a third party app that does.
Using a third party file explorer app like ES File Explorer or Root File Explorere takes a lot of the pain out.
it doesn't come with HTC Gallery? i use es file manager though so i just end up using it's image viewer. does everything i need it to.
It's from ES File Explorer, they added it in a recent update. Pissed me off big time so I removed the app and left a bad review. I'd recommend you do the same. Developers need to know that throwing unwanted apps and big ads in is NOT ok.
I dont have any on hand, just google. Oh and this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop is able to extract .apk files out of installed apps, which you can save elsewhere and use later for reinstall. Might be better to try it on other phone first, though. You will lose all app data
I am using Sultan CM13 and am happy with it. Never had any problems at all, but others wrote that not everything is working for them and that they experience some bugs. So i can not guarantee that it will work for you as it does for me. I did not try other custom roms yet because I am satisfied with how this rom works, thus I can not give you more choices, but there definitely are some.
Recently I discovered that the ES File Explorer got an analyze tool which finds "redundancy files", "duplicate files", "junk files" and offers to clear them. Not sure if this helps you with your full OPO. Best would definitely be to totally wipe the phone and start fresh if you do not need the data anymore
A lot of people download ES File Explorer. I'm not sure why one doesn't come with vanilla android (unless they added one in the newer versions).
Try installing an FTP client on the phone. Connect with your PC/MAC and you'll have full access to the file structure.
ES File Explorer is an app I use for this. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Open this link on a pc, click install, and select your tv. Once installed, use this app to move your roms to a folder on your tv, then the Emulator will be to find the files
For raw data sync I use ES File Explorer.
There's a Bluetooth pairing option, at which point you can move files to/from the device from another device. There's also an FTP option so you can do the same from your computer to the device.
This is how I keep game save data on device switches.
No that would be pointless. I have a 75/75 connection at home with a NAS that has 250 TB of storage and a torrent app. If anything I'd just add a torrent to it remotely then connect to it with ES File Explorer via FTPS and download it from there. I've only done that twice in 2 years though.
Edit: I just realized what you were talking about. That's actually an app called Network Monitor Mini. It just displays how much network traffic there is.
Yes sir, accessing the wifi passwords file is just one of the many things you can do :) (I've actually done this a few times myself lol)
All you need is a File Explorer that can use root permissions. I use ES File Explorer but there are a ton of alternatives out there.
If you're rooted, you can use a file explorer app, for example ES File Explorer, and navigate to /data/app/COM.APP.PACKAGE.NAME and copy the base.apk file.
If you're not rooted, check this Stack Overflow page for help on using ADB to copy the file over command prompt.
Most likely your save is corrupted. I know, I just lost mine awhile back. Had to start over, but this time, I cheated for some Mr. Handy's and Lunchboxes. Let's hope Bethesda addresses the issue soon.
Also, if you want to fix this without uninstalling the app or confirm if your save is really corrupted, follow this:
>/Android/data/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files/
Once there, look for the file VaultX.sav (X is the save file number 1-3) and check the size. If it's 0 kb then that means it's corrupted (sorry :( ). If not, then that means your save might still be working; if this is the case, just copy it elsewhere and delete the data folder, launch the game fresh, and then move the files back, and it should work, however I cannot guarantee it.
If the file size is 0 kb, well, FO: Shelter is gonna keep crashing as long as the file is there. So you'll have to delete that file, (not necessarily the whole folder) and start anew.
Hope this helps.
Okay, I'm just going to copy a reply I got on one of my posts which can help you:
>1. Use a file explorer such as ES File Explorer and navigate to
>>/Android/data/com.bethsoft.falloutshelter/files/
>2. Once there, look for the file VaultX.sav (X is the save file number 1-3) and check the size. Move this file to a location on your sd card where you can remember it, or email the file to yourself.
>3. Place this file onto the new location on your new phone (it should follow the same path as above)
>Hope this helps.
I use ES File explorer.
When you play an audio file using the the ES media player, there is an option in the ... menu that reads "Set as".
Then it gives you the option for ringtone, notification and alarm.
Juts select notification and it will be added to the list of audio clips you can use as a notification.
Then just go to whatsapp and make it your notification sound.
Don't forget to change your system notification sound back to what it was otherwise you'll have your phone Aha-ing for everything.
ES File Explorer will show you the USB drives. No root needed.
I like using ES File Explorer and MX Player it works great for local streaming.
Download es file explorer
Now determine if the pictures you cant see are on the sd card or internal.
I used this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
If you go to the link in a browser, rather than the play store on your phone you can push it to your nexus player, no need to side load. Just select your NP from the install list. I only have a remote as well and it works, not perfectly though. Sometimes I need to do a lot of d-padding to get it to where I want to go.
Hope this helps.
ES File Explorer will allow you to add a shortcut on your homescreen to any file - just browse to find the image file, long press on it, and tap "Add to Desktop".
If you can't get ES, try doing the same thing in other file explorer apps that are compatible with your device/OS version to see if they have that option.
This happens when this directory is deleted. To fix it, just recreate it with your favourite File Manager. I recommend ES File Explorer.
Use a file explorer like ES file explorer then go to your internal device storage> Android> Data and search for the folder "com.gamehivecorp.taptitans2" and delete it. If this doesn't help, I can't do more for you, sorry.
I would like to ask, can the ES file browser( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop ) correctly read the TF card of exfat format on your phone?

Many best PS2 games are indeed above 4GB. After all, DVD-format discs can support up to 9GB of single-sided DVD.

We are trying to make the DamonPS2 emulator bypass the system and directly access the exfat format TF card that the system does not support, similar to the way the ES file browser reads the exfat format TF card..

So that players do not have to buy a very expensive flagship phone, you can also use the TF card to play more than 4GB PS2 games.

If you are using an Android, you can use your charging cable's USB to quickly move music between your computer and your phone. On your phone, you can manage your files using ES File Explorer.
With ES File Explorer, go to Downloads and select the file, it should suggest you to open it with Pebble, it does for me at least.
I think what would help you is a file viewer on your phone. It sounds as if you can get the nsp file on the sd card your switch is ready to install it with tinfoil already, you just dont know how to put the nsp file into the right spot on the sd card using your phone.
May I recommend Esfilemanager https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_US
ES File Explorer. I've had it on every device I've owned since my first G1.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Yes you can store files on an SD card.
Take a look at some of these file explorer apps I have used that I like:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asus.filemanager
ES file manager is an option.
Read more here. But i'm sure it's not the only option out there.
:O You can get the x86 version and send it, the x86 version is gotten by getting it from the app store on an x86 device such as Remix OS Player (really good but sadly discontinued, links to uploads are everywhere), and you just get the APK, x86 and all! :) If you don't have time, I don't mind, the melonDS project has been revived just a wait of a few months, but if you have time that would be great. BTW, are there still betas coming out for it? Edit: more detail
Edit 2: to get the APK:
You can Install 'ESFile Explorer', then backup your installed app and then send! Edit 3: better Android player, Remix OS Player instead of Bluestacks
Actually I forgot I used es file explorer as a downloader. I bought the pro version a while ago and used it on my last phone. But I think I had to give special permissions in settings to download from an outside source.
App store or http://www.snes9x.com/ .
Just get the em on a usb, plug that into the Shield and copy it over with something like https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_US or just keep it plugged in.
Or set up network connection in the settings and copy it from your PC to the Shield via wifi on your local network
What device are you using? [Edit] Re-read Original nevermind haha 1: Download this app (grant it root access. Any other Root file explorer will work too) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
2: Navigate to this Dir: /data/misc/wifi/
3: Open this file INSIDE the file explorer (if it has a built in editor like Total Commander) wpa_supplicant.conf
In there you will see the SSID and corresponding Passkey
Thank you for the info, that's very helpful!
I suspect this probably is related to Bluestacks - it's possible that my save file handling code has a bug, but it's being used in several games (a few of my own and several other games from other developers that I gave it to), and I've never had a report of a save file disappearing until now. Anything is possible though! Have you ever lost a save file in another game or app when using Bluestacks? I'll look into it a bit and see if maybe Bluestacks wipes out the directory where the save data is stored for some reason/in some cases.
Cloud saves are something I've looked into before, but it has caused me a lot of headaches. I might attempt it again someday.
For exporting/importing, Android makes it pretty easy to do this with any game - you can just use something like ES File Explorer (free) and copy the save file wherever you want for safe keeping.
The folder should look like this or similar depending on your phone (https://imgur.com/a/jP5eO). If you still can't find it on your phone, then I suggest downloading ES File Explorer File Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en) so you can find files and folders for apps.
I don't use Smart Audiobook Player, but if you are using android i recommend using something like ES File Explorer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop) or File Manager (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.asus.filemanager) to find the files in your phone FIRST, then open with the player of your choice.
For me, If i open File Manager, then search for Overdrive (in current directory) then it comes up with all the files. Then i can do whatever i want with them..... for example.... Make sure i delete the .JPG of the book's i returned so they don't take up phone memory....
Edit: Typo
Android Tv is a dodgy one. I quickly figured out a lot of the apps I thought were compatible with that OS weren't their at all. I found ES File Explorer pretty handy because at least it has a browser function and it's way handier for installing apk files.
I may have found a workaround.
Download ES File Explorer from the Play Store
Find the APK in the downloads section, and press the "Add to desktop" function after holding down on the icon so it brings up the menu of things to do with it.
Disable any kind of fingerprint/PIN/whatever security for unlocking after reboot.
With the unlock security removed, and the APK added to your home screen, reboot the phone. Press on the APK as fast as you can when the phone boots up to start the install.
I'm glad to hear that!
It is possible that the app used to be clean but either got bought by someone else or the developers figured out a "better way to earn money".
A good example of this is the free version of ES File Explorer. It used to be the best file manager out there but last year they started serving lock screen ads and all kinds of tools nagging you to "remember to run our cleaner!".
What happened to ES File Explorer, did it drop off the map? It was my go to in Symbian days.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
That said, I'm a HUGE sucker
For anything from the SimpleMobileTools team.
All their work is open source, and only needs minimal permissions.
The entire project is based around 'Bringing android back to simplicity' no extra permissions, no rarely used features, it just does what it says, and that's that!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplemobiletools.filemanager
Try ES File Explorer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Make sure the file has the extension ".mcpack" or ".mcworld". Those files can be opened in Minecraft. When it asks you what all to open the file in, select Minecraft PE.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
I personally used the paid version of this, though I've heard the free version is plagued by ads now. Honestly, just any ad-free free one would be worthwhile to have around.
Yeah, neither the Drive nor Dropbox apps have Android TV compatibility, so don't even bother. I know there's at least a couple options if you search for "file manager" in the Play Store app on the Shield. Maybe start with ES File Explorer. It might be tricky to navigate the UI with a remote but it does have a few options for transferring files over the network.
For Android devices, the freeware app ES File Explorer allows you to scan your phone for large files, and then can delete them (make sure to untick the 'recycle bin' option, or to empty the recycle bin once you've deleted it). No rooting of device required.
awesome. thanks!
The easiest way to do it might be to install ES File Explorer, pop in a usb stick, go into apps, long press on the BBC apps (if there are others could you grab them too?) and then do share->es save to->usb disk.
OR if you're already familiar with ADB, you could run
adb shell pm list packages -f
find the BBC app(s) and note the path. the output should look something like this
>package:/data/app/uk.co.bbc.android.sportdomestic-1/base.apk=uk.co.bbc.android.sportdomestic
so then you could just do
adb pull <path_to_app> <file_on_your_pc>
which in the above case would be
adb pull /data/app/uk.co.bbc.android.sportdomestic-1/base.apk uk.co.bbc.android.sportdomestic.apk
PM me if you have any questions. much appreciated!
ES file explorer will analyze an app when it's installed and report back on permissions. You may need to install ES first, then uninstall and reinstall chronotek.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Agreed but if this is temporary setup might be better for XBMC/Cody because of this on the free apps for phones/tablets.
Also probably setup a network share and access it using something like ES File Explorer
Wow that sounds really tedious. I just share a folder on my PC, connect to it using ES File Explorer or some other network capable file browser, and use it to open the files with my viewer of choice.
Not to knock your workflow, but a shared folder seems much easier!
Happy viewing.
Hello
It's not possible but there is an alternative I read browsing Reddit and Google.
ES File Explorer has a download manager that you can set as default on your next download.
In the app settings under directory settings, you can change the download path.
There is no other way without using ES Explorer
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
This is the app that I use to get my weapon seed and such from Bluestacks. But I've never used it to move the save file to my phone. Maybe someone else can suggest the method or another option for you.
I'm using the pro version of ES File Explorer but the free version works the same. It's FTP server feature is called "Remote Manager". I have tested it in the past and it works but I have no use for it personally as I have other apps that automatically syncs files over Windows folder shares.
Either at first launch or when you access the SD card, a notification should pop up and tell you to select the root of the SD card folder and select it for the write permissions for the app. It's been a while since I installed it so I don't remember exactly when it will ask for the permissions.
ok, for real, are we talking of the same app.? I swear I have never seen an external ad or lock screen ad coming from ES, actually, I don't get any lock screen or notification ad at all, only the ones when you open the app. that appear inside the app.
also, I don't even know why i'm getting downvoted, i'm just giving like my experience? didn't know this was a circlejerk
Small consolation, but ES is getting raked over the coals for this in the Play Store entry for this app. They may or may not have also been reported to Google (Play Store entry on your phone -> scroll all the way down -> 'Flag as inappropriate' -> 'Other objection' -> Leave a note about what it does to your lock screen, and how it doesn't ask first).
Jesus, look at the reviews on the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en. People are seriously still giving it 5 star reviews? I guess that Adware money affords them some fake review...
All you need is any File Manager that can read external USB and a proper cable to read them. I purchased a neat (and cheap) usb card reader a while back, I can connect all sorts of cards on it and connect to any android using the mini usb.
Then I use ES file manager to read from the cable. This app can read OTG data.
My Sony device also came with File Commander, which is also capable of reading OTG
Ok, that being said, the way SD transfer from the Android system works is on pre-defined directories, it does not search the whole drive structure for every single file that match each description or it would start moving images and sounds from apps too. That only means that there are no more images/videos inside the default folders where Android knows it can move around.
The second shows that there are images/videos on the internal memory that are NOT on the default folders, just that. Android won't move them because it cannot be sure what they are meant to.
If you know where they are and that it is ok to move them, move them using any file manager, like ES File manager
Set up MiniDLNA on the Pi. It is already installed under Volumio, but you might have to edit a file to get it running.
On your android phone or tablet, install ES File Explorer and ES File Explorer Chromecast Plug-in from the Play store.
Now I want to see a picture of your YJ.
I would suggest you grab ES File Explorer: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
That should help you with cleaning out your phone.
I use ES File Explorer purchased version, there are ads in the free version now, but there are good mentions of X-plore File Manager if you're after a free app.
Use your phones built-in file manager (or download one from the Play Store; ES File Manager is free and easy to use) to delete them. The error code is Windows being a brat about the MTP connection to your phone.
You could try using an OTG adapter cable to connect a USB drive to your phone. Not all apps are able to read/write from USB devices, but it looks like ES File Explorer can.
This method worked for me so it might work for you.
As long as the HD is set to read and write permissions when you formated it, you can use an app called es file explorer to delete files on the network attached storage.
You can find ES File explorer in the google play store and downlaod it to the shield TV. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_GB
In ES File explorer select Local > Device > Storage Folder > Select the folder by clicking down on the right thumb stick > at the bottom of the page there will be options to delete, move, copy, paste ect.
It works for me but I set the permissions of my external HD to both read and write privilages from my computer before adding it to the shield TV. It might work for you....maybe. Lucy :)
ES File Explorer - and I assume other file managers - also offer wireless options. In ES, use the left menu, open the Network submenu, and hit Remote Manager. When you turn it on, it'll act as an FTP server and give you a link. Assuming your computer is on the same network as your phone's wifi, just type that link into your computer's file browser and you'll be connected to your phone - copy/paste files to/from the phone at will.
Use an third party SD card / folder / storage analyzer, like the one coming with: ES File Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
there you can see which folder on your device uses space.
> Built-in ZIP and RAR support: Allows you to compress and decompress ZIP files, unpack RAR files, and create encrypted (AES 256 bit) ZIP files
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Lollipop allows SD modification as long as the app you are using asks for specific permission to access the SD card.
ES File Explorer does this. It's also an extremely popular file management app. Free with no ads. Try it out.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
You don't have to select the images one at a time, you can select any amount (provided you have enough storage space).
Alternative process
I just tested this out after only just trying out the app for 10 minutes, and it works just fine in large batches.
Maybe try this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en, I don't know how well it'd work but it's worth a shot. Don't know if you need to be rooted for this, sorry, just preordered my first sony phone
Android instructions:
Get a file manager. I use ES File Explorer and my instructions will assume you use that too.
Navigate to /sdcard/Android/data/com.blizzard.wtcg.hearthstone/files
You should see an "options.txt" file in there, that means you're in the right place. Image: http://i.imgur.com/c5D8LBl.png
Hit "New" (bottom left), select "File" in the popup, click OK. Image: http://i.imgur.com/4JrzkmA.png
The new file will appear in the folder. Click it. It will bring a menu asking for the filetype; select "Text". It will then ask what to open it with. Select ES Note Editor. It will open in a minimalist editor. Tap the three dots at the top right and select Edit. Image: http://i.imgur.com/gVrADC4.png
Paste (or type) the text from the post above into the file. Image: http://i.imgur.com/frW4tzG.png
It the Back button. It will ask if you want to save. Click Yes. Then click Back again to close the editor.
Launch Hearthstone. Once it is finished loading, return to the file manager and navigate to the Logs folder.
If everything went well, the file Achievements log will be present. Image: http://i.imgur.com/wXlTXoE.png
Open it with the ES Note Editor. Image: http://i.imgur.com/ocgrH1T.png
If the file is present and logging card data, you're good to go.

I made this for a 1920x1080 screen so this might not work properly on every device. Try to mess around with the desc.txt or just ask if you need any size other than that.
Have fun with this piece of garbage!
Edit: Oh yeah thanks to this post for inspiration
I believe ES File Explorer does this, well at least asks you. I may be wrong though.
ES File Explorer, It does everything and more.
You've probably installed an application from ES Global, like ES File Explorer... Sucks... I've used ES for a really long time, but apparently they've decided to exploit our trust for a quick buck... I'd not been running any of their other apps and hadn't had any issues - though I recall recently reading some bad reviews about one of their app killers, after they'd slipped in the battery screen thing on that app too... I just noticed this a couple of days ago, after I'd allowed ES to upgrade...
You will see some of us talking about it over at /r/LGG3 ... https://www.reddit.com/r/LGG3/comments/4ilpkj/what_is_this_charge_boost_that_i_was_presented/
Negative reviews are pouring in on their apps for it currently: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.locker&hl=en
I think ES file explore will open .rar's: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
These are just txt files... any text file viewer will work. I used the one the comes with ES File Explorer.
ES File Explorer File Manager - Free, no ads and reliable
ES File Explorer works pretty good as a download manager.
Credits to Kein on YouTube. I'm just translating his video to an easier to follow guide.
First, download Kirikiroid2
Then, download This (You may have to download the MEGA app in order to download it. This is Nekopara Volume 1.
Now, download Lucky Patcher
Finally, download ES File Explorer
Now, open up lucky patcher, let it install, and get ready and such. In the bottom left, hit the "Switches" button, then, Make sure this switch is set to "ON"
Now open up file explorer, and find the Nekopara download file. Should be titled ""Nekopara Volume 1 Multi"
Click on it. Now, click on the Languages folder
Click on whichever language you want. I'll be using English in my example. Now, long press on the patch files, and Copy them.
Now, go back two, back to This screen.
Open up Kirikiroid2. Navigate to the Nekopara file
Click on Data.xp3
And enjoy Nekopara :)
I'm a fan of Ubuntu Linux, which should work fine for your needs. You could connect it to a monitor for setup, and configure it to share the drives via a SAMBA share if you're using Windows on your other computers. As for mobile devices, I use Android and the app ES File Explorer File Manager works well for accessing files on my linux machines (just use Network -> SFTP).
Yeah, Plex / Emby consists of 2 components: the server application and a client application. The server would run on the NAS PC and then you can use a client application to watch stuff your media from another device. If your media includes TV shows/movies, the server application can only fetch the appropriate metadata for them (though it does require you to have a reasonable naming / organizational structure to your files for it to work properly).
Both media servers have client apps for mobile, most smart TVs, and pretty much everything else one would want it on. Plex has a list of supported TVs here and Emby just states their support for LG nonspecifically here. I, personally, only have ever used Plex and freakin' love it, but from what I understand, Emby does pretty much the exact same thing, but some folks prefer its user interface.
For android I recommend 'Es file explorer' {don't know if it's on iPhone}
Install ES File Explorer on both devices and you can send files from one to the other over WiFi.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
So it does, thanks for suggesting!
Link for the lazy: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_GB
http://eu.battle.net/hearthstone/en/forum/topic/12990111437?page=1#6 . You need to root your phone or you wouldn't be able to do half the things. Root is not hard, just type "how to root #yourphone" into google and follow instructions.
Quick tips:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=ru good free file manager.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm&hl=ru - terminal emulator.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox - extended command prompts for terminal.
Before putting symlink command line into terminal, make terminal work under the root. For that just type ;su and press enter.
All of this is not that hard as it might looks.
You can use any file manager. I use this one
Or you can connect your phone to your pc from a usb but I don't recommend it
Try ES File Explorer, should do what you need:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
did you try heliu.. just kidding.
for the old FF games, i used a FILE EXPLORER APP to grab the ungrabbable
Are you sure? Sometimes it takes me 2 to 4 trys because of login errors... if so you could try renaming the "su" files the manual way to make absolutely sure it doesn't work...
First, get either a file managing app (eg. ES File Explorer) or a terminal app (eg. Android Terminal Emulator) both with root support (it's important that you don't close either of these while testing or else you'll lose root access! and I recomend setting the terminal up like this)
($ means user mode, # means root mode; don't either symbol in)
$ su
# mount -o remount,rw /system
# mv /system/bin/su /system/bin/xsu_
# mv /system/xbin/su /system/xbin/xsu_
# mount -o remount,ro /system
# mount -o remount,rw /system
# mv /system/bin/xsu_ /system/bin/su
# mv /system/xbin/xsu_ /system/xbin/su
# mount -o remount,ro /system
If you have it installed on another device, just grab the APK manually and copy it over to the Shield. I've done this to get Pokemon Go onto my tablet and didn't trust all the malware-infected APKs floating around. I use ES File Explorer and use the Backup feature to save the APK to my device. Then a cloud service like Dropbox or Google Drive is a great way to make the app accessible to all your devices.
No need of to have root access. The folder is not even hidden. Try a different file manager like ES File Explorer.

I use this guy and I like it a lot.
Settings -> Storage & USB -> Explore
Or use an app like ESFileExplorer
That's weird the app would disappear. Try ES File Explorer.
Use THIS
and THIS
You will need the app called ES File Explorer
Keep your save and fix the bug. The bug is whenever you get the "Equip a Dweller with a missile launcher" objective, you can no longer access the page. the second link will show you how to put a prompt in it that resets your objectives. Super quick, super simple. Good luck!
ES File Explorer has a SD Card Analyst
ES File Explorer with Chromecast plugin - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Sure!
Setup tools
The biggest SD card you can get: If your phone doesn't have expandable memory, you're gonna have a bad time.
Controller- Any non-console bluetooth controller will work (I have read that there are some convoluted ways to make PS3/360 controllers work, I don't know.) I have used the Red Samurai controller from Gamestop cuz it's cheap and available. Moga makes a controller (http://www.amazon.com/MOGA-Mobile-Gaming-System-Android-Pc/dp/B0096L2SJ0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1437355155&sr=8-1&keywords=moga+bluetooth+controller) and there's an app in the play store that might make it sync quicker/easier. I don't know cus I've never tried it, I will on my next one I am making next month.
ES File Explorer-pretty awesome file management app that lets you copy/paste/move files from anywhere to anywhere on your mobile device (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop)
Dropbox- I keep my roms in my Dropbox so that I can move them onto any mobile device I decide to put emulators on. Downloading and organizing so many roms took me days. If you don't have a Dropbox account, get one now! Like right now. You are going to need one. Now.(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.dropbox.android)
Folder Downloader for Dropbox-So that you can download whole folders worth of roms onto the device instead of just one at a time. This also keeps them organized on your device. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jjinx.dropboxdownloader)
Bluetooth/Wifi widgets-just stick em on your home screen, you will use them a lot.
Bluetooth Settings Shortcut- Every time I want to play, I have to link the controller to the phone. It's kind of a pain, but at least it works. Put this widget on your home screen. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.logpedia.bluetooth)
Wiimote compatibility- Yes my friend, Wiimotes can be used to play android games. Great for NES. Not so good for future consoles. Maybe you can use a classic controller, but I've never tested it.(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.logpedia.bluetooth)
Unzipper: You will need this to unzip PSX roms. I think I use this one.(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.joa.zipperplus7v2)
Emulators
NES- I recommend John NES. I've only ever used this and NESoid. NESoid was good before it got bought by Google or something and it always forces you onto Google Play before you can play your game. Not a huge headache, but like I said this thing is wonky, the less little annoyances you have to deal with, the better. Support the developer by buying the full version, it's cheap and eliminates ads. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.johnemulators.johnneslite)
SNES- Once again, John SNES. It just works. Support the developer and buy the full version. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.johnemulators.johnsneslite)
Genesis- GENPLUSdroid. It works a little different from John's emulators, but it is quick, reliable, sounds great and easy to set up. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ca.halsafar.genesisdroid) I haven't tried their SNES and NES emulators for comparison, they probably work okay and I don't remember why I settled on the other ones over the Halsafar emulators.
N64- Mupen64Plus- This is about the best emulator I found for N64 on an android device. That being said, performance is hit or miss. I can't get some games to work, some take a while to load, some do weird shit like it won't detect my controller, and some work great. Also, that wacky fucking 64 controller has to be re-mapped pretty much every time I switch games. The phone I use has an old ver of Android (2.4.4) and I know that there are a lot of features that I could get with a newer phone. Buy the full version to support the Developer (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=paulscode.android.mupen64plus)
PSX- ePSXe. I have only ever tried one game on it, as the PSX roms are fucking enormous (300 MB ~~un~~zipped), but it is Symphony of the fucking Night and it plays like my childhood. Nuff said. There is no free option. (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.epsxe.ePSXe)
You will have to map the keys on every emulator when you first install them. It only takes a few minutes. You might consider rooting/overclocking your phone for better performance.
I recommend resetting the phone to factory defaults and creating a new google account just for the phone.
There was a emulator dashboard in the play store but I can't find it now. It required Android 4.0 or better so I couldn't use it. I read that you could map your keys and access all your games/emulators straight from the dashboard so that might be something worth looking into. The Droid X2 is impossible to flash to updated versions of Android so I just left it.
Use es file explorer to move the roms into your external memory. Some phones show internal memory as "SD" and external memory as "sd-ext" or something like that. Make sure you put the roms there or your emulators won't find them.
Finally, because it is illegal to download/distribute roms unless you own the original version, I can't post my rom collection on here. But if you PM me we can talk about our extensive vintage video game cartridge collection and how we acquired them legally and have original legal copies of all of these games. Legally. Remember Dropbox It's possible and easy to download the roms directly onto your phone. If you decide to use your computer (really, PM me first) use a virtual operating system. Those rom websites are malicious.
If I think of anything else, I'll edit.
EDIT: zippers, tips, external memory, downloading roms
ES File Explorer It handles USB drives well and you can open multiple windows.
Using this file manager, you can transfer files over WiFi to your PC https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Install ES File Explorer and you're good to go.
But be prepared! the free version does add lots of bullshit popups and notifications on some phones.
paid version of this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Can connect to windows shares through wifi wooooo
you need a file manger like es file exployer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
Modded <strong>ES File explorer</strong>. It's practically Android's shell for me.
With ES File Explorer I can do it to access the files (No write) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
As far as I know ES File Explorer has a feature to connect to a Server and also copy files to it.
Try it with es file explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
With this.
Use ES File Explorer File Manager to try format the card: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en_GB
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
this is awesome app
Asked and answered https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
So, I found ES File Explorer. It lets you transfer files between phones.
That is good to know.

Not the best solution, but you can use a file manager to rename your photo and video files. I personally love this one.
There is ES File Explorer
Does this work for you:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
I would use es file explorer instead of windows file explorer
it's just a folder. Use a file manager app and go to /system/media/audio
Most file management apps will hide folders that being with a period, like ".dickpics". And turning on/off hidden items is easily toggled with 2 quick taps. I recommend ES File Explorer.
For your gallery app, usually you can set a folder to be hidden by default. In QuickPic you just have to press menu > show hidden, there is an optional lock with password/pin/pattern if desired, but not required.
How I see it, is that there is probably a corrupted file in your installation. If I were you do the following :
Uninstall the app
Delete the Waze folder (using a file manager app (e.g. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en => lots of other alternatives (also free) do exist) )
Restart your phone
Install the app again
This should normally solve your problem (since it does not seem to be a widespread problem, but only a specific problem with your phone).
Edit : Be certain to know your login and password used within the app before doing as explained hereabove in order for you to not lose your points (you can verify your points here on the Waze website : https://www.waze.com/dashboard )
I've always been a fan of ES File Explorer especially since they have a free Chromecast extension.
I can download something from Showbox, Sky HD, etc. directly to my device & cast it with that instead of having to use another app to do it.
> is there something other than Android File Transfer that I can use to access my drives?
ES File Explorer https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Go to this link right now and click install. Then open it on the shield, go to cloud and set up google drive...
or install this
but all that's slow so I use SD card/ USB low profile drive.
Shared folder on Windows. Put ESFileExplorer and use it to access your shared folder.
Probably not the best way but it works for me with my books and movies.
Like I just said, I get this option through ES Explorer.
Pic 1, pic 2, pic 3.
Oops, sorry, should have responded earlier.
When you get any Pebble .pbw file, it has to be installed manually. There are different steps for iOS, but for Android I use a program called ES File Explorer. Using ES, I navigate to the .pbw file (if you downloaded the canvas pbw file I provided in the original post above, it will be in your download folder), long-press on the file until you get an "Open As" (i.e. "Open With Program"), then select the Pebble Time App to open the .pbw file. You should now have the watchface on your Pebble Time watch.
Once the Canvas watchface is installed onto the watch, you can use the Canvas program like normal. I have the Canvas watchface installed on both my OG Pebble and my Pebble Time (which are both paired with the same phone) and when I use the Canvas app to change the watchface it changes it on both watches at the same time.
It should work just fine. I use ES File Explorer for this. I have an external flash drive for extra movies/music when traveling (stuck with a 16 GB version...)
ES File Explorer File Manager is a lifesaver.
I guess this is more of a /r/androidapps question... but here you go...
ES File Explorer
You could also take a look at this gorgeous app called Muzei
And Sync for Reddit
For my Android tablet hands down the ES File Manager/Explorer. I especially like it for the hassle-free SMB integration, so you can easily access shared folders of your Windows computer when they are in the same (wireless) network. No need to setup some streaming server/app to watch videos from your Desktop on your tablet.

Also in the play store there's a comment by The ES team explaining a bit. It was their last update.
But I'm still confused why my Domain block failed.
~~EDIT: I may have been using vpn. Need to check when I get home.~~
Edit2: My bad folks, indeed it was the vpn. Without it I get a "ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED". Point being that yesterday I tried over a dozen vpns for my tablet but I also tried a handful vpn extensions for chrome. And was something that occured during these tests that made me jumpy: when I was uninstalling one vpn a second window popped up REinstalling it. SD Maid solved the issue for me but it was very odd to me.
You need a root-enabled file manager. I believe ES File Explorer can do it (and it's a great tool to have around anyway). https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
ES File Explorer lets you see and manage all the files and folders on your SD card (and in your root folder if you are willing to root your phone).
Tasker allows you to create automated scripts that run when certain things happen on your phone. It has a bit of a steep learning curve, but it's well worth it.
Btw - you'll need an app to navigate there. I use ES File Explorer, it's awesome for file navigation. Here is the playstore link ES File Explorer
These are installable .apk files, Android packages, and will install when launched on your Android device.
Find where they are using your Android File Manager, most likely on your SD Card....
I use ES File Explorer, linked, but most will be OK, even your default.
You just need to click on the "apk" file, or you can select it (long press) and "install" from the menu if you use ES.
You should have "Unknown Sources" checked/enabled in your Settings, normally under Security settings.
Alright, I think I understand what you're trying to do, now.
I do like the idea of a to-do list available on all systems, but, like /u/EpicCyndaquil said, it might be better use a dedicated app.
If you are devoted to this idea, all you need is a simple text editor, right? The easiest solution might be to use a file manager with something built-in. ES File Explorer is well-regarded. You could probably set up some sort of Scene to pop up in Tasker, activated in whatever way, and edit the file, but I'll admit to that being beyond my expertise.
I have the same issue. Mine charges, but won't connect to a computer. It does work sometimes, and some cables seem to work better, so try a few cables. As for a long term fix, if you changed the board, I don't really know what to suggest.
In the meantime you can use ES File Explorer to transfer files over wifi. Plus wireless chargers have gotten ridiculously cheap. I know these are no replacement for working USB, but that's what I am using to get by right now.
it's awesome you can do this without an app (technically you still need a file explorer). However, If you use Es File Explorer you can encrypt your files. So if you're trying to hide something you can simply hide it with the process provided in the link but you could also encrypt the file so not only is it hidden but it's inaccessible... Note: You can also encrypt the file name to hide obvious file names like hottyflickingherbean.jpeg
you can download ES FIle Manager on android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop&hl=en
It has the zipping feature.
Since I don't have the original APK, I will uploading a backup made with Lucky Patcher. So you might have to enable installing from unknown sources. You can do that by going to Settings > Security > Unknown Sources. After that it'd be just a matter of navigating to your downloads folder on your android to install the app. The downloads app, or something like ES File Explorer can take care of that.
Edit: I also recommend disabling installing from unknown sources right after the app is installed. It's a good idea to only enable that setting on an as-needed basis.
Edit2: Since there is a rule about distributing links to .apks, I won't be posting this link publicly in this subreddit. PM me and I will reply with the link. Technically I'm not breaking the rule since it was a free app that is not available on the app store anymore, but I'd rather not run the risk of getting banned.
ES File Explorer has a download manager that you can set as default on your next download. In the app settings under "directory settings" you can change the download path.
Use a file manager to install it like Root Explorer or other similar app. ES File Explorer should work.
Install in on a rooted device then copy the apk and obb folder to a usb drive, plug drive into adt-1, install es file explorer on adt-1, then go to the usb drive folder, install apk, copy obb folder to /sdcard/android/obb.
Download an app like ES File Explorer, give it root permissions, then go to the build. prop file and add this line to the end: net.tethering.noprovisioning=true
No problem. It was this cable on Amazon. The app i used was ES File Explorer. The app lets you get into the SD card and HDD to select, move and delete photos and videos.
If you just need access to your file share while on LAN from android,
Get ES File Explorer
Has a builtin LAN browser using cifs (smb).
Has the ability to nativily connect to Webdav, FTP/SFTP/FTPS, and CloudStorage (Dropbox, Box.net, Sugarsync, Google Drive, OneDrive(SkyDrive), Amazon S3, Yandex and more clouds platforms)
Has Builtin ZIP & RAR support and can pretty much view any file type you throw at it.
Are You using default camera or different camera app? Even though stock camer app should have option to change the default folder.
Did You try using different file manager? Like ES File explorer?
That's a good start how would one go about messing with the file system? Require the user to have a file explorer like ES file explorer installed on their phone and call that application within the game?
The first would be Pornhub, but someone has already commented it. Second is ES File Explorer. There's this other for you to hide your "family memories".

I use ES File Explorer to transfer files via OTG but I would like a better app if anyone has one. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
I personally use ES File Explorer. There's an option in the left-side menu, under 'network', called 'remote manager'. This allows you to FTP (file transfer protocol) into your phone to transfer files over your network. It's very straightforward. When you enable it, it gives you an address (such as "ftp://192.168.0.10:3172"), and you just type it into the "address bar" of a folder on your computer (or an FTP program if you wish). Then you have full access to the storage on your phone via PC, and can copy whatever you like back and forth.
It sounds a little more complicated than it actually is. I use this method simply because then I don't have to deal with the USB cable and whatnot. Also, your phone can be in another room and you can still access it as long as it's connected to your WiFi.
I haven't added new icons, but I have added custom theme colors to Eminence.
To do so, I installed ES File Explorer (sideloaded), and then turned on it's remote manager function so I could FTP into the FireTV and add the files.
Not sure of the exact path for the icons, but this is the path to get into the Eminence files: Android/data/org.xbmc.kodi/files/.kodi/addons/skin.eminence/
oh, hey! I figured it out and forgot to post here.
The trick is to organize them differently using your file explorer app (I used ES File Explorer)
In the file explorer, just set it to see it by whatever gives you the proper list. most of the time it's "by name" since albums are titled
01 - song 1
02 - song 2
etc
This fixed it for me!
"Es File explorer" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.estrongs.android.pop
Works really well.

Probably be better off with that, I bought the PRO version for 10p in one of the weekly sales so keep an eye out for that.
