one thing to note, Sonic R one of the copies (the blue disc) seems to be the 2004 version. in that release, they fixed it so it works on modern systems and since its such a late release it's hard to come by.
the Expert software version has Redbook cd audio so if you feel like listening to the soundtrack then you can pop that into a CD player.
as far as the two Sonic CD releases since they're both by Expert software I think they're the same just different prints.
either way, if you wanna play Sonic R, you can install it and use the Sonic R updater to get it working perfectly on modern systems. https://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=37536
For S3k to get it working, you can use SegaPC Reloaded. https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Sonic_%26_Knuckles_Collection#Sega_PC_Reloaded
as far as Sonic CD the 2012 Re-master is your best bet.
Hold your horses, it was just barely announced!
...Is what I would say, but THERE IS A PREORDER PAGE ON AMAZOOOONNNN!!!!1111!!!

And yeah, ok, I'm a little bit too excited too lmao
For SA1 I'd recommend the Steam version BUT specifically with this installer, which replaces the assets, collision, control and a ton of other stuff with either higher-quality, or Dreamcast-accurate (which is usually better anyway) versions. It really brings the game to be better than the awful ports made it look and feel.
For SA2, there's not nearly as much issues, I'd go for the PC version with the mod loader and the sound fix mod. There's also a cheat for Knuckles' radar to not be as terrible.
For info about the massive changes (downgrades) SA1 received, I suggest you check out the blog Dreamcastify, written by the creator of most of the DC stuff. It's an interesting read, and opened my eyes to just how much better the visuals have aged when you look at the intended designs.
Not by default, but thankfully there's a mod version you can get. I've downloaded it but haven't tried it yet, so I can't attest to how well it does or doesn't work.
Famitsu has no integrity. Famitsu got some exclusive content for Sonic Forces, so I wouldn't be surprised if they aren't really being honest. Their score seems too high, even from someone who was mildly pleasantly surprised by the leaked full game.
well then we're gonna have a problem here because
"Featuring enhanced gameplay elements, including the classic Sonic Spin Dash, and the versatile Homing Attack, Sonic 4 picks up right where Sonic and Knuckles™ left off."
Yep, assuming so...
> Metallic Collector's Card with Sonic Mania Download Code (digital game code)
Alternatively you can get a Bluetooth controller for you phone/ tablet. I recently got myself a 8bitdo Zero controller so I can play emulated Mega Drive games on my tablet and it's brilliant. If you've large hands there are bigger versions available but at £10 it is totally worth it!
Here's the Amazon link if you're interested - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B017PAX036/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_isVVBb0A004JN
It's called "Sonic Forces: Speed Battle". Available on iOS (https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/sonic-forces-speed-battle/id1262362476?mt=8) and Android (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sega.sprint&hl=en).
Skeptical, I just checked to see if this was a clever Photoshop joke. Come to find out, the screenshot above is not a fake. I mean that sincerely and honestly to anyone who may have been doubting like I was. Here is proof beyond a reasonable doubt:

I didn't do anything too fancy, just installed the game off my two game discs, and it ran ok from there. I made it a little better with the link below for help. Plays fast and beautiful 60 frames per second!
The track-list hasn't been confirmed yet but pre-orders are now available through Amazon Japan.
Here is the link to the page: https://www.amazon.co.jp/Sonic-Hedgehog-DJ-Style-PARTY/dp/B086YF2Z9R/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?dchild=1
It's really easy to "sideload" apps onto your phone, i.e. install them from sources other than the Play Store. The game should run on your phone even if the Play Store lists it as not compatible.
You just need the APK (Android package). Segabits has a link here, for example. Get the file onto your phone somehow, e.g. download straight on the phone, or download on PC and copy the APK via USB. Then use any file manager app to install the apk. A security warning will probably pop up, because by default Android won't install stuff that's not from the Play Store, but you can temporarily disable that feature.
For SA1, I highly recommend downloading and installing the Dreamcast conversion project, which not only reverts the art and lighting to the frankly much better DC assets, but also comes with a whole host of bug fixes, extra side content and quality of life updates, that were originally only accessible through now-defunct Dreamcast DLC. This fixes everything wrong with the horrible PC release and then some.
For SA2, there isn't yet a full-game conversion like with the first game, but it was a lot less butchered in the porting process anyway. I still recommend downloading the SA2 mod loader (Google it) and then installing the cutscene sound fix, which helps the horrible overlapping dialogue in the English dub, something that was broken even in the DC release. I would also turn on the "Knuckles SA1 radar" code in the cheats menu, and maybe even fool around with the "physics swap" mod for Any in SA1 and the mechs in SA2 for faster, better-controlling characters.
Addendum: when I did a new PC install several weeks ago and had to redownload all my shit, the SA2 mod loader link was broken. Due to it being included in the DC mods, the SA1 loader can still be installed, but if the SA2 one is down, please PM me and I'll send you my game folder.
This website has all of them for download. The site's undergoing maintenance right now, so give it a few days and their downloads should work.
To read the comics you'll need a .cbr file reader. This worked wonderfully for me.
[EDIT] I forgot to mention that you'll need to make a free account before downloading the comics.
Honestly, id Software should be Sega's first pick of studio if Shadow the Hedgehog II ever becomes a thing. Their most recent shooter has been hailed by many as one of the best... so why not let them have a go at the genre we all know Sega refuses to go back to?
Depends on how you obtained them. If you're legitimate buying the digital copies, Archie has an actual app that you can use. If you obtained them through other means, if it's a CBZ/CBR file it can be read by pretty much any comic reader app. The one I use is called Comic Flow, but it's pretty basic with no ability to rearrange the comics, just goes by alphabetical order, or in this case '1, 2, 3, 4..." Thing is this app is for iOS and I don't know if it's for Android. However here's a pretty high rated one for Android. Seems to be a very good app judging from ratings, photos, and reviews. Hope this helps!
I would recommend the PC version above all else, specifically because mods can make it better than the Dreamcast version.
From the last SA1/2 question:
>For SA1, I highly recommend downloading and installing the Dreamcast conversion project, which not only reverts the art and lighting to the frankly much better DC assets, but also comes with a whole host of bug fixes, extra side content and quality of life updates, that were originally only accessible through now-defunct Dreamcast DLC. >This hopefully shouldn't be an issue as I tweeted the creator about it and he/she said a reupload was coming. But I want to be clear on everything here.
Release order is:
CD
Adventure 1 DX (I highly recommend installing this mod which fixes the PC port's broken graphics and many other issues)
Adventure 2
4.1
All Stars Racing
Generations
4.2
Racing Transformed
Lost World
You don't have to play them in that order though, since there's very little continuity between games (and four of the main series Sonic games aren't on PC anyway).
I'll say Adventure 1 is my favorite Sonic game, with SA2 and Generations somewhere behind it. The two Sonic 4 episodes and Lost World are probably the weakest in this collection, but I think they're fun enough in their own right.
I’m confused. If this is actually your drawing, why was it on DeviantArt 2 months ago? You kinda imply that you drew it recently. It’d be a shame if you’re lying,
So, it's sorta hacky, but if you have the original PC port, hit up PCgamingwiki, they have a widescreen hack for the game that apparently works pretty well. I used a different hack that gave you individual executable for each resolution, and that worked great, but I can't find that one online anymore. You can also apparently get better quality cutscene FMVs. I haven't used the FMV mod yet, but I imagine it helps as well. I can't speak to the current widescreen mod, but I will say playing it on the older one that I used looks fantastic.
Agreed. Greatest game of all time is a bit extreme. What is groundbreaking and revolutionary and what flaws are there that possibly diminish its impact? There are numerous reports of the motion control issue while in handheld mode where you are stuck to a limited move set. Sometimes, the media is seduced by the narrative of the press guides they receive and, in turn, they review out of hype rather than actually registering what they are taking in.
Then use Wine? You're not listening. If you use the Windows version of Steam through Wine, you'll be able to download the Windows versions and configure them for Wine.
Wine is effectively an 'Application Layer' for Linux that allows you to run Windows Applications -- this is not the same as emulation.
Go grab this:
https://www.romhacking.net/download/utilities/598/
It will be a .rar archive. If you don't already have WinRAR or 7-Zip, you probably won't be able to open it. If you can't open it, download 7zip here:
https://www.7-zip.org/a/7z1805-x64.msi
After extracting the archive, open "xdeltaUI," click on the "Create Patch" tab.
For the source file, open the original .exe that you made no changes to. For the modified file, open the .exe that you've been changing.
After using this tool, you will have a modified patch that you can share with other people. Because it only contains the data that you have changed, it's safe to share and doesn't contain any copyrighted data.
Many ROM hacks use this format as an alternative to the old IPS patching format.
Stop boiling hotdogs. Throw them onto a cast iron pan and roll'em around, or get you one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Ninja-Dehydrate-Indoor-Electric-AG301/dp/B07S76WBGF
Pricey, and I mean, I got mine as a Christmas gift, but shoot. It's freakin' night and day. Killer chili dogs, I'm telling you. Killer dogs, in general. And tons of other stuff. I made an awesome roast on my counter without even trying yesterday.
Sure - that's "Sonic the Hedgehog: Spin Attack".
It's on the amazon app store. https://www.amazon.com/Sega-of-America-Sonic-CD/dp/B008K9UZY4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1503171338&sr=8-2&keywords=sonic+cd
you need the Amazon app installed to download it though, there is a free version so give that a try. I hate using the amazon app so I just sideload it when I get new devices.
You can def find online, in only 2 minutes I found it on Amazon.
Well there are a few different series. The two main ones are Archie, which ran like 20 years and has like a thousand issues, then IDW which just started in 2018 and has like 27 issues so far I think
I suggest reading IDW, not only is it much shorter and way easier to pick up but it’s also just very good.
The first volume to get started is available in hardcover on amazon and it’s apparently free with kindle unlimited (whoever the hell has that)
If you want to get into Archie I can’t help you, but someone who knows more about that one can take it from here
If you're on android, the only way I know is sixaxis controller it's a paid app, but there's a free version that allows checking compatibility between your phone and controller.
In case the game supports controller natively, pairing your DS4 using bluetooth should the trick I think
edit: forgot to mention, the app requires rooted phone
The soundtrack "Stillness & Motion" will be released 07 December on streaming services.
It looks like a 6CD physical release is planned for the same day.
Umm this one is restricted to region 1.
I hope the 2023 release version is not region locked.
I still remember when the store didn't even say it was region locked and yet I had to find out the hard way that it was.
Ah I still remember the day at school when one of my teachers (yup! A gamer teacher!) told me Sega was discontinuing the Dreamcast... a month after I got it for Christmas. After that I paid close attention to what Sega had planned for other systems.
From what I remember PS2 got Virtua Fighter and Sega Sports, Xbox got Jet Set Radio and House of the Dead, and GameCube got Sonic, PSO and Super Monkey Ball. On top of that, Chu Chu Rocket and Sonic went to GBA, although, THQ and Sega made a bunch of games which were the Sonic Advance games and made Sega Smash Pack which in turn ported Sonic Spinball to GBA.
I always saw it as one platform for specific series, and as others pointed out, GBA-to-GC link cable.
Got those from Amazon. Here's the link. The shoestrings were from another pair of shoes

Archie comics? They are not being printed anymore, so you can find a place to readcomicsonline(.)com
IDW you can also read there but I suggest supporting the official release. They are on Kindle and Comixology

Is not what you think, it is another game that launched a bit earlier to promote the real Forces if I remember correctly.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sega.sprint&hl=en&gl=US
Is similar to those endless runners like Subway Surfers or Temple Run, but the stages aren't unlimited, it needs online connection 100% of the time because it is aimed to be PvP only (you get some bots if no players are around your rank)
Characters have some attacks that gives you advantage in a race (like your regular Crash CTR or Mario Kart, but sadly, some items are locked to some characters)
The IDW series is great, and the first volume is on sale right now: https://smile.amazon.com/Sonic-Hedgehog-IDW-Collection-Vol/dp/1684058279/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=3CLKLNRY4L2WV&keywords=idw+sonic&qid=1645418928&sprefix=idw+sonic%2Caps%2C204&sr=8-3
I was looking on Amazon for something Sonic related to buy, and spotted this. Very confusing combination between Classic and Modern
Here's the product if anyone wants to take a look.

If it's any consolation, you can play Unleashed on Xbox One with Backwards Compatibility and in 4K if you have a One X.
And this Project that ports the daytime levels of Unleashed into Generations on Steam.
Favorite game is Sonic and the Secret Rings (Don't Judge)
Not out yet. Should be in July somewhere, I think. You can find it in local comic stores, on the idw website, on comixology (you can preorder a digital version) or find a pirated version on readcomiconline.to/Comic/Sonic-the-Hedgehog-2018 for free when it's out. Eventually, you can also find it on Chapters online as part of a volume.
Hello, I'm a bot! The movie you linked is called Sonic the Hedgehog, here are some Trailers

Would recommend getting the IDW Collection. It's going to have the "recommended reading order." Vol.1 is already out, Vol.2 comes out next March.
https://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Hedgehog-IDW-Collection-Vol/dp/1684058279
We know this release is going to include regular issues, mini-series and annuals. Not sure if they're going to include the 30th Anniversary Special, though. That already got a hardcover release so maybe they want to keep it separate.
Vol.3 will probably take a while to come out, unfortunately. Vol.2 comes out 8.5 months after Vol.1.
The ports from DX onward heavily butchered the game's aesthetic, sounds quality, technical proficiency, and even things like analog sensitivity and collision detection. While it is fundamentally the same game, I believe the modded version to be objectively superior, and that's not something I say...ever, actually.
The mod isn't too hard to get working. As long as you use this installer, the DC mod will be installed from the outset, and adding other new mods will be as simple as dropping them in the mods folder and hitting a tickbox on the launcher.
Sega of America: > “Sonic Boom is a new branch of the Sonic universe and does not replace modern Sonic.”
Sonic Boom isn't a reboot. A different studio is developing this game..
Sonic fanboys really need to stop harping on a game made over several years ago. '06 sucked, we know, get over it.
Draw him as simply as possible at first. his head is a circle with 3 droopy triangles. His body is a circle with a stretched out bottom, and his legs and arms are lines. Then, add detail such as ears, a muzzle, his belly, cuffs, and shoes. think of his eye as an "m," and his muzzle as an elongated bean. for specific steps on the face, go to here. And remember to put your own spin on it. Maybe super loose quills, or single cuffs instead of double, or doing four quills like Tyson Hesse.
Using Godot itself wouldn't be a problem if they acknowledge that they are using it in the game
From https://godotengine.org/license
> You can distribute unmodified and changed versions of Godot Engine, even commercially and under a different license (including proprietary)
> Note however that the Godot Engine binary that you would distribute with your game is a copy of the "Software" as defined in the license, and you are therefore required to include the copyright notice and license statement somewhere in your documentation.
> The Godot Engine developers consider that a link to this page (godotengine.org/license) in your game documentation or credits would be an acceptable way to satisfy the license terms.
Godot comes with a third party open-source network library (libwebsockets) licensed under the LPGL, which in this case from what I understand means that they need to distribute the source code of libwebsockets only if they have modified it in some way (probably not). Interestingly, they are using an old version of Godot released on 2019, because libwebsockets was replaced for another library in late 2019.
And finally the tweet claims they are also using Mozilla's CA certificates (also bundled with Godot) which are licensed under the MPL 2.0, I'm not sure but I think they just need to point to the source code of the library if they haven't modified it.
Anyways, I think if the developers followed https://docs.godotengine.org/en/latest/about/complying_with_licenses.html and acknowledged the usage of those libraries, there shouldn't be a problem

Thank You for watching, I'm glad so many people are enjoying my video here. If you're looking for something more Art related, then I think Sega actually did release the "Official Sonic The Hedgehog Art & Design Book " - https://www.amazon.com/Official-Sonic-Design-2019-Book/dp/9082457687 . Apparently it's a reprint of the Artbook released for the 25th Anniversary.
I know this is Reddit, so we're supposed to avoid Kotaku like the plague, but they summed up what Sonic Forces is quite well, I think: it's objectively flawed in many ways with questionable controls and wildly inconsistent level design, but it's still a blast to play through.
Is this the one? It looks like this one is made by Archie Comics. Doesn't seem to be a complete set but lists some of the "favorites." It's also not black and white and not in stock but maybe your can track it down from here. I'm also in the market for some sonic collection books.
I'm guessing this is from the Sonic Encyclo-speed-ia book set for official release on December 14, 2021. Here's an Amazon link. I think some people have it early because it was shipped to their local bookstore or something.
This page has some fixes AFTER the thing is actually working which you might just want to share as an addendum(?). Plus higher quality cutscenes.
https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Sonic_Heroes
And as someone who searched a bunch of stuff down himself and is probably still missing stuff I'd appreciate if you did put it together.
I've found that the launcher itself isn't super reliable, but if you click the Game .exe it runs fine. You can also look around on PCgamingwiki for mods if you wanna punch up the resolution or get higher quality cinematics.
One of the main devs for the game posted about the delay on Steam, and then deleted his post. He also mentioned it on his Twitter.
Looks great! My only suggestion is when you draw teeth don't draw the entire line in between the teeth - just start at the top and bottom and leave the middle with no line. It will look much more natural. https://www.safaribooksonline.com/library/view/secrets-to-drawing/9781600614958/images/9781581802160_0116_002.jpg
Deviantart is a website for artists to post stuff on. It’s free to use and free to upload, meaning you’ll see a lot of bad art on there, but you’ll also find a lot of good stuff too. You can start your search here.
Sure! However, to avoid bothering people with too many notifications we're inactive for now. We'll return with discussions and conversations later(tomorrow if you're in the USA)
Oof. Would you be willing to submit it to the Internet Archive? This is it's purpose, to keep things that were published from being lost. You can just use https://temp-mail.org/ to create a throwaway account if you want.

You may find find issue #46 on the IDW website, Amazon, or your local comic book store!
Order one Volume a month, they are priced reasonably and you'll catch up in no time.
Start here -
I've got an Asus Tuf gaming laptop kinda like this one. I tried playing P-06 this morning and it played perfectly. I also played "Death Stranding" on it this morning and that was working too (bit of a contrast in games there...)
I'm banking on the 2021 FCBD issue being bundled with the 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition. IDW's website says that Gale Galligan and Thomas Rothlisberger wrote and drew the FCBD issue, respectively, and the Deluxe Edition description says that it'll include "a bonus story from the team of Galligan and Rothlisberger".
I don’t remember the old ones but the one I was thinking of getting now was this

there is this, https://www.amazon.com/Complete-Sonic-Hedgehog-Comic-Encyclopedia/dp/1936975254 , but you might want to look around on youtube for someone who covers it all. I don't know any youtuber who covers the archie comics thoroughly and fairly.
But they're just a single 2-in-1 cartridge that installs both games separately onto your Switch. No fancy menus or anything like that.
Actually there is a collector's edition of Mania for PC. I managed to find one on Amazon too, just trying to decide if I'm willing to pay $125 AUD including shipping. I suppose it's not too expensive at that price.

I just came across this listing from Amazon for a Sonic the Hedgehog: The Official Movie Mad Libs.
https://www.amazon.com/Sonic-Hedgehog-Official-Movie-Libs/dp/0593093046/ref=mp_s_a_1_5
This Paperback will be released on October 8th and it says.
Race through these Mad Libs one blank at a time with everyone's favorite speedster, Sonic the Hedgehog..
Sonic the Hedgehog has been speeding across screens and televisions since 1991. Now, Sonic stars in his very own Mad Libs with 21 stories and a pull-out poster celebrating the fastest thing alive.
It’s sold every month in single issues, then collected into trade paperbacks by the arc (but they run a little behind).
Here’s a link to the first one on Amazon!
This line of product still continues on to this day. Cheap stickers are put on the head display and a cardboard display under the pinball game. Every single variation is the same, they just change out the color of the plastic, sticker and cardboard. I see them at thrift stores all the time. (I had a Star Wars one, the sound is awful.)
Here's some of the newer models I see...

Why would you want it on a garbage console like the Switch when you could have it on a SONY PLAYSTATION 4 PRO CONSOLE https://www.amazon.com/PlayStation-4-Pro-1TB-Console/dp/B01LOP8EZC/ or a MICROSOFT XBOX ONE X CONSOLE https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-One-1TB-Console-2K19-Bundle/dp/B07GBBT1V4/
Not as of now that I know of, but I think some of the Archie Sonic collections are available to buy on Amazon.
It looks like they're coming out with another trade in September. Fallout. Is this a reprint?
It looks like Countdown to Chaos is the relaunch at #252.
Sonic Archives are the original 50, right?

If it's an issue of the controller not working with the device, I had a similar problem on my galaxy s7. For whatever reason i just could not get a bluetooth connection with my ps4 controller to work, but it worked fine with every other device. I decided to invest in one of these an OTG cable and that worked fine if you don't mind playing wired.
Here's the product page for the one I ordered. It's not a digital edition because I was able to select a shipping option.

Amazon.com sells the collector's edition and they ship internationally (at least to Canada, can't check Australia.)
They have every version in stock except the Nintendo Switch. The PC version should be region free as well, can't vouch for PS4/XB1.
