It takes time for the playstore version. It has to get approved and all.
If you want, download from here- https://github.com/Docile-Alligator/Infinity-For-Reddit/releases/download/v4.0.0/Infinity-minifiedRelease-v4.0.0.apk
Then install from file manager
That's interesting find. The source code https://github.com/Docile-Alligator/Infinity-For-Reddit/blob/ef953a72f73e6b11a5886678c2cd0424a4f5e9f8/app/src/main/java/ml/docilealligator/infinityforreddit/activities/SearchActivity.java#L311
According to commit of that file, it was added since May 6, 2021.

If you don't have the option, you can install the latest beta through Google Play or https://github.com/Docile-Alligator/Infinity-For-Reddit/releases
Yes, that was the idea. I am currently using Redreader and was expecting I could get some similar compact title-only UI, see https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.quantumbadger.redreader
But obviously, Infinity tries to provide a different user experience. Nice work anyway.
Download this and create a shortcut that will work with whatever icon you want. It will not give notification dots, though.

Hopefully this helps you a bit. By the way, how did you get that spotify icon?
(Apologies for the late reply)
I made a Pull request. This is my first time doing such a thing, so I apologise if I made a mistake with this, hopefully you can still access the files.
Basically, it uses the system variables as colours in the vector file for the icon. It doesn't rely on the toggle in the android system, so you will need to put the toggle for the adaptive icon inside of the app. I hope this helps.
lemmy's creator kinda sucks, but I know not everyone gives a shit about politics. otherwise I don't really see what fundamental advantages a federated platform could really give that an instance-based platform (such as postmill) couldn't, besides some specific features
but either way, Reddit going public is definitely going to stifle the site, especially for any subs that go against stockholder and advertiser values
If you've already tried clearing cache to see if it helps, you might want to enter an issue here:

I agree it would be helpful to be able to manually arrange the order of subreddits in Infinity, as in other apps (like Boost).
There is an open issue for this request on the Infinity Github site (see issue #14). So perhaps this will be prioritized and implemented.

Someone on github made a redesign of the app to declutter the interface and the dev seemed interested in implementing the changes. I agree that the app is very clutered.

Click on assets, and select the APK file.
When data saving mode is enabled, preview images and reddit videos are loaded in lower resolution.
Go to https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ml.docilealligator.infinityforreddit and click Join Beta.
Just a heads up, from what I've seen in other reddit apps having double tap gestures requires a noticable delay on single taps. The best upvote gesture I've encountered on a reddit app is on Dawn for reddit which lets you swipe a post to the left to upvote and swipe it further to downvote.
Do you mean Chrome Custom Tabs (a page that opens in app)? The links were opened in Chrome Custom Tabs before but I changed to use external browser because it cannot directly open other apps. For example, https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ml.docilealligator.infinityforreddit will not be opened directly in Google Play, which is not that convenient.
