Hey guys, while it's great fun reading the speculation here I'm afraid it's nothing so interesting as a new title - and you've already heard of it.
We are just announcing the launch of the EVE Academy project in our short slot during E3 here - it's a chance to let people know about the new efforts to help new players and promote EVE Online a bit.
tldr : I asked for Leadership/FC's/line members to come on my stream and voice their opinions about the M-0 fight (that huge fight on Monday with 4k people involved) and the War in general. OP is a subcap FC from SMA (Imperium), came on the show (will be on Youtube soon, for now see here https://www.twitch.tv/zarvoxtoral/v/57362831 - from 03:55:00 ish), gave away no information that wasn't already well known to everybody, and discussed a few flaws he felt existed within the Imperium - within 24 hours he is kicked from his alliance.
if only the price wasn't broken promises.
ccp rise, team size matters, 2016.
I can't say I ever met your husband, but you have my condolences.
Assuming his character name was the same as his reddit account, he has been immortalized on the monument outside of CCP's headquarters in Iceland on line 83 of the engraved plate in Row 3, Column 8.
This monument exists to commemorate those pilots we've lost. Thousands of years from now, after it's been buried beneath a mile of Icelandic volcanic ash, future humans will unearth this monument and know Ashurman is worth remembering.
Lord Maldoror is way better than ccp at this.
They made a series called myevestory last year and they are one of the worst, unrealistic, cringy videos ccp ever put on youtube.
https://www.eveonline.com/article/myevestory-video-contest-results
It's like CCP (and apparently, many in this sub) can't understand human nature and can't understand the game's own past.
CCP once shuffled moons to "create more conflict". Result? OTEC.
CCP planned for citadels in high sec to provide some market competition. Result? Tranquility Trading Tower.
Null sec incursions? Run by "Bluetral fleets so everyone can get a piece. FW? over run by alts and a consortium of players who decide WHEN everyone can cash out LP. Want to change anomalies to make people fight? It just mean REALLy liong wait ques for high sec incursions back in 2012.
Time and again CCP has tried something to drive CONFLICT that just ended up in some kind of COOPERATION instead. Now the cooperation will be between people finding and running these sites in low sec, and the null sec people who then buy the keys.
This is because there is no such thing as a "conflict driver" in a video game. Players fight because they want to, it's fun, and "screw those other guys". The in game resources are just a means to an end which is why you see all these "deadly enemies" like TEST and Goons cooperating in various ways outside of the war.
CCP and many players think you can make people fight. You can't. What you could do is give us interesting tools (ships, weapons, modules that add tactical complexity like MJDs and so on) and get out of our way. WE will find ways to screw with people. But you can't entice us to do it, we do it when we want to.
CCP, stop trying to game design us into fighting. Concentrate on making a fun game with fun tools and we'll handle the rest.
There are some more tools to play with, but EVE is still very much EVE - never too late :D
If you want to freshen up on some skills you may have missed/forgotten about, we've got a great player resource called the EVE Academy: https://www.eveonline.com/now/eve-academy
It's not comprehensive of everything to do in game, but a good starting point. So much has changed since you've been gone, and lots of new mysteries which have yet to be solved.
Our Customer Support Team were made aware of this last night after a player approached me about it.
We've published news here to clarify our position
The GM Team will not be moving anyone who files a support ticket relating to these engagements in UALX-3.
The "Stuck" ticket queue is not to be used for this, and it will more than likely be considered abuse of our support system.
These tickets are being moved to a holding queue and will be dealt with separately to regular support ticket load.

Hes the rundown of events.
He gets drunk on comms and says hes joining NC dot. But if he can awox Tri supers he can get into PL.
Tells corp he is leaving because his Mrs does not like him playing eve anymore and his titan is in Molden Heath LS (While we can see his location in corp window that its still in ER)
Instead of taking 1 Cyno + Gate into lowsec he moves his titan towards Curse closer and closer to PL staging.
Dies
Nothing of value was lost.
EDIT - Turns out, it was also a PL dude that lit the cyno for him. Dum Dum.
Few Screenshots. We kicked him on Dec 29th. Because reasons. We gave him a week to move his Titan + Assets out of our staging system.

EDIT 2 -
xxxx: btw dont forget this fucking retard
xxxx :i had a sale arranged for his erebus 4 weeks ago
xxxx: but he dragged his feet about itand it's his fault he has a 108b lossmail instead of 100b in his wallet
xxxx :originally he wanted to sell the combat fit for 95b but he was scared to use chribba or grendell because he's fucking retarded
xxxx :so i told him i would get him 100b if he agreed to use chribba
I know this wasn't your point, but this wrongly romanticised simplification applies just as well to EVE as it does in the real world.
The idea that globalisation is a new thing is simply untrue. We've had a global economy as long as sailors have known how to navigate by compass and starmap. I mean what do you think the East India Company was? The town where I happen to live irl (Dundee in Scotland) spent most of the 19th century producing and exporting Jute and Marmalade internationally. Adam Smith wrote extensively on the concept (although without specifically naming it) in The Wealth of Nations. The advancement of technology over the last 30 years (particularly the internet) has just exposed the average person to it much more directly than ever before, so it seems new.
Equally in EVE I find it hard to believe there weren't people 18-24 months post-beta who didn't pretty much have the game "worked out". Don't get me wrong EVE's hard, but it's not so hard that it takes a decade to get to grips with.
Only UK version right now is the Kindle version here - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Empires-EVE-History-Great-Online-ebook/dp/B01DONPR0M/
By the way, it's a fantastic book. It covers EVE empires from launch through till around 2009 and goes quite in-depth whilst still offering plenty of explanations for people unfamiliar with the game. Interviews, sov maps, fun tidbits and all!
EDIT: This is not the Mittani's failed book (looking at you, random amazon reviewer). This is a previous book which was kickstarted for $95,000 a while ago.
Depends how much each person is willing to pay for their blops. If you look at the MasL/Gulnar Sin you can understand why they do it.
Officer cap booster for the 10s cycle time. Gist X-Type booster(While being 60 CPU less fitting than the Pith Booster) + A type hardeners + drugs mean they get a easier timer tanking ratting carriers which can put out upto 3000 DPS in a lot of cases.
Some of the other stuff is purely for fitting needs. As you are pushing the ship pretty fucking hard, ever single bit of CPU is needed.
Before Faction DDA's the Solo sin was nigh on impossible to fit without a CO-Processor. Just looking at my one i get it to 99.6% CPU and even requiring some Storyline neuts just to be able to fit it right. However seeing these Sins have Faction Co-Processors seems to indicate that they don't really know why they are fitting what they are fitting and just saw a MasL/Gulnar video and went "Thats cool" without thinking about it.
Fitting up a similar style T2 Sin you need a Co-Processor in the lows along with have 400 DPS tank cold, compared to the 1550 Cold DPS tank on the Bling version along with twice the Cap stability. 40s vs 100s.
So as a short summary. Yea, blingy fit is pretty fucking important when doing solo Sins.

Calm down everyone. EA sell the Starter Pack through Origin. Thats likely the reason for this page existing.
No, changing your password is not good enough. You need 2 factor Authentication, not just a password. PLEASE read the following...

This is a commission for a corp who wanted something for their corp's website. And it's a pretty nice website too. You can check it out here... www.purplepowermods.com
I honestly have no idea what they do. Anyway, this was a fun little quick project to do this past week, and I'm sure they're happy with it too.
Also, some time ago I had some people ask if they could see my .psd files for some of the things I had done. I had obliged them, but I thought this time around I'd include it here in the comments if anyone was curious how these things looked under the sheets. Here's a linky https://www.mediafire.com/?de9vy2bqxy198wa
https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/updates-to-skill-training
A bit more to it than just the new layout. I'm particularly excited for the increase in max number of skills, and the removal of the 24h limit for Alphas.
It makes alt creation, especially alpha alt creation, so much easier because you can just set it and forget it.
anyone keeping track of how many faction fortizars remaining in game?
edit: just checked, CCP gave us 1209 faction fortizars and zkill is showing up 11 already destroyed. we're still far from blowing up all of them.
edit2: i only read lossmails in zkillboard. forgot to include forts that are lost in freighters and rorqs on moveops so my count is inaccurate.
It's not Art of THE poor, it is The Art of Poor. It's a play on the title of the book The Art of War. Also, phantasms are like 130 million isk and I don't faction fit it so...think poor, not destitute shitlord.
>Wait seriously?
> Is that a rule?
Section 18 of EVE’s Terms of Service:
"You may not publish private communications from CCP, their agents or representatives or EVE Online volunteers without authorization."
>Why?
You must be new to /r/eve. Its a fucking witchhunt every three days. The last thing CCP wanst is people trying to drum up more drama by quoting communications out of context.
Hey, welcome back!
Quite a few things have changed so you're in for quite a treat.
An EVE player, Carneros, recently made a "Returning Pilots Reorientation" presentation on CCPTV which covers quite a bit.
If you need to go a bit back to the basics, we've also started the EVE Academy which is aimed more at newer players looking to get a footing in EVE.
There is also an abundance of amazing player created content, depending on what type of activities you're interested in. Happy to point you in a few directions.
> Shortly after releasing EVE Online: Trinity at 22:04 GMT on Wednesday, 5 December, we started receiving reports that the Classic to Premium graphics content upgrade was causing problems to players by deleting the file C:\boot.ini, which is a Windows system startup file. In some cases the computer was not able to recover on the next startup and would not start until the file had been fixed. In this dev blog I want to tell you how this happened.
This person was not using 2FA on their main email account and was able to reset passwords via that.
Everyone should be using 2FA on their email, and at least google has a app solution that's a bit more streamlined vs auth codes.

Please use 2FA on as many things as you can, it's a headache sometimes, but a bank/game account/social media breach is much worse. Check Have I Been Pawned to make sure none of your old passwords are in the wild, start using generated passwords and a manager, it really sucks but it's the state of things till we come up with something better.
LMAOO They told ya'll this was going to happen. Short memories make for poor pilots.

"Adding to this extremely rare and advantageous set of circumstances for Capsuleers looking to add to their fortune, all four of New Eden’s major empires had previously agreed to a 50% market-wide broker’s fee reduction, and a 50% sales tax reduction, too! Those reductions are live now, but only for the next three months."

seem like you missed this Patch https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/surgical-strike-coming-15-april
arround all resitance modules lost around 20% effectives with that patch
Drone aggro was strange before some day it just works other days you need to do some space magic to be sure that nothing happens to your drones.
it doesnt even matter that you have a gun or other offensive modules fitted to your ship
but it is better when you pull aggro from npcs that you use some modules on your ship to force npcs to only be able to lock your ship instead of you
That's not correct from what I understand - Project Legion turned into Project Nova when CCP realised they were running into the limitations of their Unreal Engine 3 build and decided to rewrite it in Unreal 4: http://www.mmorpg.com/mobile/features.cfm?read=10787&page=1
"Old system" is a bit ambiguous as a naming as there are several old values. You should also look at the costs before 2021-07-27 and also before July 2019. Btw even newbies can quickly train to level three or four if they are interested in trading. The issue is rather that the ~~taxes~~ transaction costs are too high in general. Further, it was once again great communication to change it before the three months passed and not have it in the patch notes at first.

Hi Chribba. CCP said next year they will start with a re-issue of the Mimir and the Freki. So there will be a 10 year cycle of re-issuing AT ships.
o7 r/Eve!
This clip comes from 404HD's Twitch stream yesterday. 404 and Fozzie teamed up as part of the streamer/dev 2v2 team and CCP Fozzie had this to say about the new content and some issues surrounding modules and implants, or P2W credit card warriors. CCP Fozzie is on Team Ra, the team responsible for these new filament arenas!
GMs teleported bots into high-sec, flagged them as suspect (allowing anybody to kill them). They did this a few times during the last gm week.

We had a direct connection to Scalding Pass that was open for well over 24 hours. We threw up a stop bubble in a pipe and cloaky camped it with a few T3s, some bombers, and a Redeemer.
I convinced more people to join by telling them this story:
> Remember back when you played RuneScape, you'd take the road west of Lumbridge and that NPC named the Highwayman would jump out at you and yell, "STAND AND DELIVER!" and try to kill you? We're doing that in Null right now.
So, the first ship comes along, and one of our guys types "STAND AND DELIVER!" in local. I start thinking that Highwaymen would be an interesting corp name, so I search it. The description of the corp that comes up starts with, "Stand & Deliver! Your Money or Your Life!"
Some days I'm really sad somebody thought of that 7 years before I did...
A short how-to do this:
Step 1. Download the RAD Video Tools. http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm
Step 2. Convert a video to .bik using said tools.
Step 3. Place the file in ..\Eve Online\res\video\cq.
Step 4. Back up whatever video you want to replace (I've found that, with recommendations from other Redditors, the "CQ_TEMPLATE_PLEX_SALE.bik" works best as it comes on semi-frequently, and it has no overlays) and overwrite your video with the one you don't want anymore.
Step 5. Start EVE and enjoy!
For people who don't want the hassle of downloading and converting their own Nyan Cat, here is the Nyan Cat bik file in an archive: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2011101/Nyan%20Cat%20%5Boriginal%5D.7z (note, bandwith is not infinite)

They removed it bc of the low use of the feature. There was a official statement, saying there was simply not enough usage and the small amount of players using the feature compared to the pretty high upkeep per year wasn't worth it anymore.

On May 18th, CCP allegedly "Added passive nullification trait to all Shuttles." Patch Notes. No in-game information informed players of this change, however.
In May 19th patch notes, CCP states that they "Added missing trait to shuttles for interdiction nullification."
However, nullification was not initially added to at least one shuttle, Goru's Shuttle. A week later, and there are still 4 out of 9 shuttles which do not indicate to players that they are nullified: Leopard, Interbus Shuttle, Guristas Shuttle, Goru's Shuttle.
Do you know which ones are nullified or not? Will CCP retract their patch notes from May 18th and May 19th which are factually untrue?
The Devs decided that it would be a great idea to nerf every class in the game simultaneously multiple weeks in a row while managing to piss off more and more people.
Probably not UDP. What happens when you drop one UDP datagram? You have to re-request it over TCP: bind socket (waiting), 3-way handshake (lots-o-waiting), have the other end generate the missing datagram (...wait), and receive it (wait) -- that's a lot of waiting. UDP has it's advantages, but requires a lot of engineering to be able to create a network that doesn't drop datagrams.
I'm betting that it's all TCP based because you can 'set it and forget it', the protocol handles all the re-transmission. There's probably more technical ease and value when distributing state over TCP than engineering a lossless UDP server-server stack.
I did a quick pass at the last Tranquility Tech III blog post (https://www.eveonline.com/article/tranquility-tech-3/). There are some cool things they could do at Layer-1 to replicate traffic, low-latency L2/L3 switch, kernel bypass NICs, heck -- they could even distribute state via FPGAs, etc. (Experience: I design 10/40G financial multicast trading networks).
FFS CCP, we don't want this 'mobile game' garbage.
Instead, how about developing your existing EVE Portal app to be more useful with more features and become the mobile complement to EVE Online? No features have been added to the app since it was released in November 2016, despite the promise of "more to come in the future".

So technically by the letter of the EULA reshade is bannable. That doesn't necessarily mean you will get banned, but if you do you have no argument against it.
Yes, it's completely legit.
There's no real reason to have your finances hidden; and here's TEST's if you're interested:
@CrassKitty on Twitch (https://www.twitch.tv/crasskitty) just accidentally fell into a whole new Universe and has instantly become THE Twitch Commentator on the current Eve war. She heard that stuff was happenin' in Eve Space, started playing the game about 2 weeks ago, observed on Reddit that huge battles were going down, with Imperium losing various shirts, and then has fixed this by streaming non-stop for the last 9 hours interviewing any number of top Eve leaders and players (and some trolls). Only a few Goons because they aren't talking but a lot of key Allies FCs. She did awesome for a first dip into this ocean and this will become a goto Eve War stream. It's a dirty job, but she has stepped up to do it!
You mean the Eve Portal app? It was dead on arrival.
Do yourself a favor, use Evanova which has all the features you are asking for.
Do I understand correctly?
Red and Blue both need headquarter structures, which means everyone who might enjoy casual RvB gameplay instead has to spend an inordinate amount of time defending those structures from griefing, so it's not a thing anymore.
So CCP screwed-up, again?

New Accounts get 750,000 SP when made with a referral link, and start with about 300,000. So my advice to you would be to make a refferal link with your existing account here https://www.eveonline.com/recruit?status then click on it and make a new account and a new 1mil SP character right off the bat. Send the ISK over from your existing characters to your new one.
If you enjoy the game and end up buying PLEX, subscribe or buy something with money from the secure.eve-online store you'll get some perks on your old account (PLEX, 2x accelerators or a skill extractor depending on which one) which you can also transfer over to your new main.
Retribution, December 2012:
https://www.eveonline.com/article/patch-notes-for-retribution-1
All of the mining cruisers were converted into T1 logistics cruisers, all of the mining frigs were converted into T1 logistics frigs, and the new Venture mining frigate was introduced. At first, the T1 logi were absurdly OP in their new role but they were scaled back a bit and are now reasonable.

This isn’t the first time the EoM has used capital ships to attack a planet. Reschard V was reduced to a blasted wasteland when the bastards activated an Avatar’s old AoE doomsday in low orbit. In all honesty, the weird part is that it took them just over 15 years to pull this shit again. Maybe they needed more recruits? How many people are going to be willing to join a doomsday cult and not get cold feet at some point? Maybe Sansha has been lending them True Slave technology...

> Now for the new deployable. The collective term is Encounter Surveillance System, or ESS. Let's start with a quick tl;dr version, refer to the rest of the text for further details. After 1.1, players receive 95% of a bounty income in Null Sec. An active ESS in a system changes the direct payout value to 80%, but further 20% is stored in a system-wide pool that can be accessed through the ESS. This additional bounty payment can rise to 25% over time. So post-1.1, players have the choice to either skip using an ESS and get 95% bounty value, or use ESS and generate 100% up to 105% of bounty value, but have a portion of it be at risk.

CCP claimed he breached a legal contract. Reread the blog https://www.eveonline.com/article/ppne2z/brisc-rubal-removed-from-the-csm-13?origin=launcher they claim that he breached NDA. That can be challenged in a court of law. Now they never have to unban him or anyone right or wrong. However if challenged they will have to produce breach of contract. If they are unable to produce sufficient evidence then they cannot claim breach of contract and will be forced to recant. If that is in fact the outcome of a legal challenge then maybe his reputation can at least be exonerated.
> After the May release, whenever a corporation or alliance declares a non-mutual war they will be required to select a specific Upwell Structure (only including Upwell structures with docking facilities, not FLEX structures) they own somewhere in highsec space. > >This structure will be designated the “War HQ” for the war. If the War HQ leaves space for any reason (such as unanchoring or destruction) the war becomes invalid and will enter its 24 hour cooldown just as it would if one side lost their war eligibility or if the attackers fail to pay the war bill. If the corporation that owns the War HQ leaves their alliance, the war involving the alliance will enter the 24 hour cooldown and the new war spawned between the leaving corporation and the target will continue to be valid.
> Population cap and players entering the system > > There has been an ongoing discussion regarding a “population cap in M2-XFE.” The only system in the game that has a population cap is Jita - to avoid the system going into Time dilation. There was no population cap set for M2-XFE. >
> What players were seeing in their client call log was a standard call that is an everyday occurrence. The client will call every jump – and when logging in - to check if there is a population cap on the destination system – in this case it was not receiving a reply from the heavily loaded system (the population cap being one of the different calls it was not receiving back).

yea, when injectors came out we pointed out the slippery slope and rise famously told us...
which clearly turned out to be a complete fucking lie, and we've only slid further down the slide since as we've seen packs that contain modules, and ships, etc.
1) No. Basically, you can access to a line of low-tier ships and items in the free mode. Get a feel of the game for as long as you want. But then you'll need to subscribe to use the high-tier ships and items. You can pay extra to get ingame money to acquire those ships and items effortlessly. However "winning" isn't a matter of having them, but depends on what you do with them, in which you're on equal ground no matter how much $ you throw at the game. So it's not p2w.
2) Yes.
3) The best way for you to do this is to get a referral link for a single account. Then make a "chain of referrals" in which each new friend invites the next one. This way you can get bonuses the game offers both for the reffering side and the referred side. Below is the page to recruit your own friends.
https://dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/english/force-multiplier
> force multiplier noun [ C ]
> uk /ˈfɔːs ˌmʌl.tɪ.plaɪ.ər/ us /ˈfɔːrs ˌmʌl.t̬ə.plaɪ.ɚ/ specialized
> something that increases the effect of a force
A docked capital ship isn't a force multiplier as it doesn't increase the power of the fleets that are outside. In order for the force to be multiplied that ship needs to be active in the fleet. A command ship with triple links, is a force multiplier. A command destroyer that aggressively jumps parts of the enemy fleet off is a force multiplier. The pure role of a force multiplier is to enable you to do more with less ships. It takes a 50 vs 25 fight to be more even if you bring multipliers that they do not.
But sure, call people wrong when you're the one unable to comprehend that in order to multiply a force, that force needs to be in motion first, and thus by definition in EVE be part of the fight in one way or another.

Here's an HTML5/JS Framework I've heard and seen some good stuff about: http://phaser.io/
Also here's a tutorial for it on reddit though I havent worked through it myself yet: Link
All of these are great points that I think stem from some "values":
So, the Mittani's fireside chat has him say that the HBC isn't winning fast enough: "I would've expected that the enemy would have taken almost all our territory by now. ... We've helpfully bogged things using stuff like swordfleet ... The enemy is bogged down in afgoonistan and not doing a very good job of taking all our shit".
And why this is funny is that in several wars goons have used that phrase to mock their enemies. Here's the Mittani's war update from three years ago: https://www.themittani.com/news/cfc-war-update-not-winning-fast-enough
Who would have thought that catchy phrases work both ways?
Offense: 3 day ban (iirc also sp get frozen, not extractable anymore but i am not sure where to find source)
Offense: permaban
>as long as I don’t copy-paste a GM response (which they do not allow).
https://www.eveonline.com/article/p4xce3/security-update-february-2018
>Another misconception is that we´ll ban people for posting ticket replies which is not accurate. Over 15 years we’ve very rarely banned players for violating this clause (single digit number) and it’s always been on the back of a stack of previous warnings or over a wilful attempt to falsify or misconstrue communication for nefarious purposes.
CREST was absolutely not a side-project, I have no idea what Aquila is talking about. It was the core technology that enabled the DUST514-EVE link, and had a full team dedicated to it at one point. I wouldn't categorize the XML API as a side-project either, it was first implemented as part of a targeted re-engineering of the forums back in 2007, and ensuring it's uptime has been part of OPS job for as long as I've been at the company.
The full canonical URL thing was the result of a purity ideal for CREST. Supplying the canonical URL prevents identifier collisions (e.g. type ID's start at 1, so do mailing list ID's, but they'd be on different URL's so if someone gave you one you'd always know what you had, plus you can tell the difference between mailing list 1 on serenity and mailing list 1 on tranquility). In theory you're supposed to be spidering the CREST tree, so CREST is directly giving you that canonical URL without fuss. Of course, no one ever did spider the crest tree, everyone just used string substitution to assemble URLs for the routes they cared about. The theory was good, or at least interesting, but it was a bit over-engineered for how third party developers wanted to use it.
> Oh please oh please oh please parallelize that **** and stop using single threaded python code. You can do such cool things if you allow multithreading.
EVE uses threads aggressively. Stackless Python gets a lot of support from CCP, noted on their website, mainly because of its microthread implementation.
Nevertheless, threaded Python has limitations due to the "Global Interpreter Lock," and so "stop using single-threaded Python code" (with the implicit "write multi-threaded Python code") is not always good advice, even for parallelizable algorithms, unless the code spends lots of time blocking on I/O.
Thanks for the appreciation. It really is encouraging. While fun and exciting, making this app takes a lot of time and effort.
About the lack of a fitting tool:
It is a very difficult exercise for many reasons, and very hard to maintain across patches, as seen with Eve Droid. While I do have some experimental code stashed on the side, I have chosen to avoid it and spend time on features that other applications don't have and that I feel are useful to a majority of players.
Also great timing for the post, Evanova is 4 years old in a week :)
Cheers
Evanova
PS: I am taking some holiday so don't expect an update before August.
It's an annual event hosted in Iceland (where CCP HQ is) that last several days, celebrates the game, the developers, and the players who play it. It's usually like 3 days long, has lots of presentations from developers and players and talks about where the game is headed, all the cool stuff developers have created, and cool trailers and such. It also involves lots of drunk parties for people who attend and is all in all really exciting.
If you want to keep up with it, keep up with this subreddit where lots of players attending will link videos and pictures, and you can also watch many of the presentations at CCP's Twitch stream. The schedule for the stream is in the description, and it starts Thursday :)
We want at least what they promised.
>Scarcity firmly ends in Q4 2021 with additional resources as well as player choice for what resources to distribute in your sovereign space. While the full details will not be shared here today, here's a small glimpse into what you can expect to see in this update:
https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/eve-online-july-status-update
since you were too stupid to read it the first time, i'll copy and paste it for you.
null is 2 systems :)
also if CCP are gonna go ahead and post up an article 2 days ago inviting everyone (https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/youre-invited-to-a-pvp-party), i feel like them ensuring a reffed node is the least they should have done.
like i said, 10% tidi at 600. not 1,600. i'm not asking for a lot.
edit; i didn't mean for this to become a REE tidi thing, it was still awesome seeing so many groups show up to throw down.
This happened over the course of several months, but MMORPG.com just posted an article about my long-term revenge on the (now defunct) Lawful Rebellion alliance!
Totally out of date, you can use up to 20m sp now, here you go! https://www.eveonline.com/article/clone-states-the-next-steps/
To get beyond 5m you need alpha injectors, skill injectors, or some time as omega and you can carry on using the skills in this list even when dropped down to Alpha.
i think at least 99% of eve players knew it was tied to real science.
I am excited to learn how the new iteration of Project Discovery worked out and what the science nerds learned.
It would be cool if CCP would fill in the 4th and 5th battleship for each race.
Amarr needs a disruption and attack BS.
Gallente needs a disruption and attack BS.
Caldari needs a combat and attack BS.
Minmatar needs a disruption and Combat BS.
This would give each race 2 combat, 2 attack, and 1 disruption BS.
ISS = Interstellar Starbase Syndicate
https://www.eveonline.com/article/iss-marginis-outpost-open-for-business
https://www.engadget.com/2012/11/11/eve-evolved-history-of-the-interstellar-starbase-syndicate/
The Gallente Oupost in KDF-GY wasn't just the first public, non-aligned player outpost. But it was EVE's first mega IPO, as the costs of Outposts relative to the total wealth in the game were massive, so it took raising ISK from many different people to gather the funds to build it.
History time: Navy Osprey wasn't used for a long time because its rebalance in 2013 (when I started) didn't make it significantly better than flying a normal Caracal, and /u/Suitonia made a lengthy article going over why the ship wasn't good even after a lot of buffs.
For reference the introduction of Mordu's Legion ships was in 2014, and the Osprey Navy would receive more major buffs in 2016:
1. It finally got a full flight of light drones.
2. More efficient high slots, using 1 less launcher to get +12.5% launcher dps. It also got better at doing non-kinetic dmg types.
3. +100 PG!
In Black Rise, this ship was immediately recognized as a strong RLML ship, and all my friends referred to it as the "baby Orthrus" (which was nerfed slightly in the same patch that buffed the NOsprey). Maybe nullsec people slept on its potential as anti-tackle but I can assure you in FW where frigs roam - it was not a mystery and it was quickly adopted.
Templis CALSF even used to fly NOspreys in fleets, fitting the utility highs with railguns. I'm sure they still have the hulls laying around.
Thanks for reading, that's all for EVE History with Kibitt.
except there are already a serp proteus and a purity legion skin implemented in game, just not published or seeded
cpp have the power, they just aren't following through
As far as I've gathered, you need to convert the video you want into .blk using some tool from http://www.radgametools.com/bnkdown.htm, then replace one of the .blk-files that can be found in a video folder in your eve installation. I have not tried it myself, though, so don't quote me if your machine blows up/you get banned/your CQ burns up.

It's all in the news post there. Scarcity is ending over this month and next month, and all mining ships are getting "Rebalanced", and the details will be released on friday.
> Structures & Deployables:
> Removed the ability to launch Personal Deployables in new player starting solar systems and career agent solar systems.

Seriously though, I have a few of these types of items from the 2004-2006 period. I’ll share some more info when I’m back home
Edit: looks like they simply forgot this item in the 2016 tiericide
https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/patch-notes-for-december-release
>and they showed me the transations they had done successfully
this is the importent part, did they just copy the wallet text or linked you a random pic showing them sending isk to ppl (alts)
OR
did they show a strange website claming it used api to show their wallets?
the first 2 are okey scams and the fake API website is a banned scam
https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/notice-concerning-scams-citing-the-wallet-api
And this is the reason having this in code is so great, now I just updated the csv part of it to include January and February to date, and voila we have the scale of the B-R5RB fight compared to the rest of New Eden:
Forked version of the jsFiddle with B-R5RB data
Edit: in before "but wasn't B-R5RB at 11T ISK?"... this contains the base construction value of super capitals, not market value like everything else, plus, some of the value was also in other systems like GXK, I-NG, ..
My inclination is to agree that CCP will have a hard cap on SP you can gain, but on their webpage they say this:

" Gain as many Skill Points as you can during the Skilling Spree between 24 July and 21 August for destroying any NPC in New Eden! "
https://www.eveonline.com/now/season-of-skills

That doesn't sound like a cap.
Total destroyed is shown in the economic report
https://www.eveonline.com/article/pi8mm0/monthly-economic-report-october-2018
https://www.eveonline.com/article/back-into-the-structure/
Read this devblog, basically lays out the plan entirely, they have combined several of them though
Essentially after the stargates come out to replace jb, beacons and jammers. It'll probably be the billboards (already announced with the last stargate dev blog)
then its either obsevatorys or admin hubs (replacement for i-hubs) and then it'll officially become citadel sov instead of aegis
Confirm. The "alliance code" in EVE is not much more than a kludge built on top of other systems in EVE (such as the POS code) and is not a separate system in and of itself. As a result, a dozen or more systems that should exist, including alliance taxes and alliance bookmarks, do not and can not.
CCP has been promising (via CCP Seagull's Fanfest and other public presentations) to fix this since 2012 or so, with no forward progress. In particular, at one point, CCP devs were talking openly and publicly about a "Crimewatch level" revamp of how players are organized into social groups, but to my knowledge, it never went anywhere.
It doesn't matter what your opinion of the EULA is. Its black and white and outlines what they classify as breaching it or not.
So you are saying anyone that goes afk while cloaked in a system is breaching the EULA? Goodbye half of eve.
The UI program I use is in the CCP dev blog? How would this be a breach of EULA? https://www.eveonline.com/article/community-spotlight-garpa/
Please entertain me more. You are fucking hilarious. When i'm finished I'll make you a special video of me camping your ratting carrier without the use of bots / macros or modifying the eve client in any way.
Looks like now, went to old app... Chose creator... Second app listed there :D https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ccpgames.eveportal2android
Edit: If it matters to anyone it's an 83MB download
For Android:
Where did you get that number, it seems really high. Do you mean revenues?
Edit: you were way off. They made $66 million in revenue in 2012 (that's BEFORE playing employees etc), profit undisclosed as far as I can tell... so likely $2-3 million profit (possibly less)
http://techcrunch.com/2012/02/21/eve-online-saw-66m-in-revenue-last-year-mulls-ipo/
> How is the system abusable?
Insurance has been nerfed over the years, explicitly and implicitly. Currently you might sometimes suicide an insured battlecruiser to raise the dynamic bounty modifier. In theory you could manipulate the numbers which are used to calculate the insurance payout. Currently that's not worth the effort at all. Might have been before I played. Last explicit nerf that I remember: https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/spring-balance-update-incoming That nerf hit after some in the community claimed that it's too cheap to welp dreadnoughts as back then they had a good amount of their valued paid out in insurance. For battleships it was possible that your production price was very close to the insurance payout minus insurance cost (as minerals in nullsec were cheaper than the assumed numbers). An implicit nerf were the industry changes as insurance payout is apparently based off the estimated mineral costs. Battleships and above now need extra materials besides minerals which makes the mineral costs proportionally smaller.
> Did CCP ever actually say they regretted it.
I'm not aware of such a statement. I think I have heard some people be against insurances in the context of isk faucets but I don't think that believe is widely held (neither in the community nor inside CCP).
Also please call eve just eve and not EO.
What if I am jumping into HS with a criminal timer? Exploit?
CCP should just fix the mechanics they don't want. In fact they did that 9 years ago: https://www.eveonline.com/news/view/introducing-the-new-and-improved-crimewatch
Eep (the CEO of IWI) was very clear that he was only interested in funding the fight against SMA.
Give the stream a watch:
https://www.twitch.tv/themittanidotcom/v/58086270?t=47m42s
I'm sure he could find a way to change his stance, but the whole show-down that brought IWI into this fight was when SMA members stole ISK by placing backdoors in the IWI servers.
As long as SMA field pilots among the Imperium ranks, IWI SRPs will continue. I'm not saying stop the war... I'm just saying be smart about making sure SMA stays in the war, and that yummy yummy IWI ISK keeps rolling in.
And let's be honest... IWI will play a very large part in the outcome of this war. The Imperium has very deep coffers after owning so much space for so long. That's probably the only thing Mittens wasn't lying about in his fireside chat.
