I use this Screen Dimmer app. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.github.ericytsang.screenfilter.app.android
It dims the entire screen including notifications. Gets the screen significantly darker. It's also adjustable on the fly right in notifications. Has a notification button just like wifi, Bluetooth, ringer, etc. where it can easily be turned off and on. Works great for me.
Since US Version has yet to be announced, we don't really know which version is for US, or if it will be a new version.
So far this is what we know about the different Zenfone 6 version.

You can checks the different versions on this link and scroll down to see the network band each one has. I suspect for US market it will be VC, but there is a small possibility that they will make one specific for NA.
The app Ampere Meter is a great tool to determine internal temp of the device. Started using it years ago, when I noticed a phone getting overly hot.

looks like mi9t pro

i assume it's better overall in features than pixel 3a
looks like K20 Pro is also xia brand
gonna just focus on the features + specs (but mainly about the features for now)
> discovered this after I bought it, assuming video out was a standard feature of modern phones. Disappointing.
It is indeed (also for me) one of the most prominent features that is dearly missing from the ZF6 (together with OIS - optical image stabilization for low light photography). I would be coming from the V20 H990DS, which has both of these.
USB-C to HDMI is one of those features that is hardly ever mentioned in manufacturer's specifications, reviews and spec compare sites such as https://www.kimovil.com/en/ and GSMarena.com 's phone finder.
Fortunately, I recently ran into this Wikipedia page that lists all the phones that do have it:
I knew about LG, Samsung and Huawei having it in the flagships. I was surprised to see that all the Snapdragon 8xx Google Pixels (so since the 1st one, but not the recent 3a and 3a XL) also have it.
Asus has it in the ROG phones and two older models.
I’m not sure which Zenfone 6 Model you’ve been wanting to get your hands on, but Mobile Advance on Amazon’s website (For the 8GB RAM 256GB storage) says “In stock on August 2019.” The link to the amazon page is: https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-ZenFone-6-6-4-2340x1080-Display/dp/B07VZX9CRV which is found directly from: https://www.asus.com/us/Phone/ZenFone-6-ZS630KL/
I bought two kinds from amazon. One tempered glass, Here. And a matte anti-glare one, Here. TLDR: Both work pretty well.
In Depth: I have the tempered glass one on now. Has a black border around it that doesn't quite match the rounded corners of the border on the device. It very slightly impedes on the screen. Spent an hour trying to line everything up before realizing the defect. Completely unnoticeable in most cases. Looks as if it's just the original screen otherwise even to the touch and feel. Has no effect on my two types of rubber cases. Near perfect. Although I've noticed my proximity sensor doesn't seem to work with it. Screen stays on during calls. Haven't test without yet but it was working before I applied the protector.
The matte anti-glare I've only tested the fit. It only covers the viewable part of the screen. Its not glass but is a thick plastic; not just a film. Will certainly protect against scratching but I don't think it will make it much more impact resistant. Touch sensitivity seems unaffected even when on top of the tempered glass protector. The feel is much different giving it a slight paper like feel.
I have this one from MYLB (many like it on Amazon). I got this because it came with a tempered glass as well for $8.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SSBFS8J/
No issues, fits well.
The tempered glass fits well but does not curve like the screen toward the frame so looks a little off, but still using it for protection, better than nothing. (and looking for better form fitting glass options, as Samsung Waterfall displays have them so figure this phone could as well.)
Is Google Camera only available to ZF6 that update the OS?
This: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera
And do you find that app that much better than the stock camera?
Samsung Select... the "Select" line of products seem to be exclusive to Amazon, so I assume that you bought it on Amazon and not a fake from a different site?
According to CPDT Benchmark, my Integral Ultima Pro 256GB (U3) reaches 49MB/s (39MB/s average) for sequential writes and 89MB/s (80MB/s average) for sequential reads: https://i.imgur.com/Mirfz7o.png
I guess the speeds will depend on the test we're doing and how we measure it, but I'm seeing faster speeds here. Can it be a SD card limitation? Have you tested with a computer?
Keep in mind that the speeds they advertise are the "up to" speeds. Some SD cards might be able to hold faster speeds for longer, but they're usually more expensive (not all expensive cards are fast, see the Samsung Endurance line which costs twice as much but only go up to 30MB/s write).
In any case, unless this slower speed is affecting your usage, I wouldn't worry.
