The "stutter" of the image actually has very little to do with 24fps being the standard. It's actually because 24fps is about as low a frame rate possible at which you can still synchronize sound (edit: I should say dialogue). Prior to the talking-era, films were routinely shot at variable frame rates (roughly 16fps is believed to have been the standard for silent films, although some movies, such as The Passion of Joan of Arc, were likely shot closer to 30fps). It's important to remember that prior to sound pictures, cameras were hand-cranked. The advent of sound meant that the speed of the photography had to be normalized, hence motors were introduced. This meant that standardization had to occur across the board (not just cameras, but projectors, too!). 24fps was deemed a reasonable speed at which the cost of film to sync quality was found to be satisfactory.

Usually, not using the litter box is a sign that something is wrong. In my experience, kittens and grown up cats will see a litter box for the first time and instantly know what it's for. If they don't use it, there's definitely a reason for it.

Some of the reasons why a cat is peeing outside the litter box can be:

• Too few litter boxes. The recommendation is usually to have 1 box for each cat plus one extra. So, 3 boxes for 2 cats, preferably in different rooms.

• Closed litter boxes. Some cats just hate them and will never use them. I suppose they just prefer to have a complete overview of the room while they're in a vulnerable state.

• The litter box is too dirty.

• Illness affecting the urinary tract. Taking them to the vet is recommended if you excluded all other possible causes or if the cat is showing any other symptoms.

• Stress. Causes can be a change in their environment, a new (human or non-human) family member or frequent visitors, too much noise, people bothering them too much etc. Talk to your vet and try to make your home more cat-friendly with cat towers, places for hiding and more vertical space where they can have an overview of their territory.

Try buying the simplest litter box you can find. Something like this. Use a non-scented litter and clean it frequently. Clean all the spots where the cat has peed with a special cleaner for animal urine. Watch your cat to figure out if there are any triggers that cause them to pee outside. Maybe even install a camera where they tend to pee.

I haven't had a cat go outside the litter box in years by following these basic rules. They even used the litter when they had diarrhea.

The ear plugs that I use have a 32 decibel noise reduction rating. Either they aren't inadequate for a regular gun range, or the ear protection that you use is. In hurricane country those joists would be attached to the central beam with metal hurricane clips and you could drive a car across them and they'd be okay.

Idk, I've had my Note 4 since release and all I've ever used is Samsung's Branded Case for it and it's still pristine. It's got enough "chunk" for me in the corners that the few times I've dropped it, nothing has happened. It maintains a surprisingly thin profile and gives me enough protection.

And it lets me clean the screen without taking the whole case apart, which is a huge gripe of mine. There's constantly dirt, hair, or dust underneath the protector on the otter box.

My guy is a little over 2 and still not the best traveler. He used to vomit regularly if he was in the car for more than 10 minutes, and he was even worse if we were stuck in traffic as opposed to moving on a highway. We now give him Cerenia about an hour before we go on any sort of extended car ride and it seems to work well. Couple that with not feeding him for the hours leading up to the ride, along with putting him in one of these protective hammocks along with his bed and a toy. It's not ideal but it's been very successful so far.

Haven't used these yet, but they're the recommended entry level priced electronic ear pro.

I just use non-electronic ear pro, but want to get these.
