TuneIn is an Internet Radio program for stations around the world and Pandora is another music app like Spotify.
both have ads
This app creates icons with the shortcut maker app logo on it. I used X Icon Changer instead, and although I still need to keep the app installed, it gives a lot of customization (but theres a lot of ads.) https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.hexman.xiconchanger
Also this one. Does the same thing but the created shortcut doesn’t get deleted after deleting the shortcut maker app.

This was introduced with Android 12. Apps no longer ask which one you want to use.
You can go around this by using
openlinkwith
Or
betteropenwith
There are many apps that allow you to share installed apps.
An open source one that supports .apks
: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.aefyr.sai
A closed-source one that allow uploading to APKMirror: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.javiersantos.mlmanager
The Material You theme system bases it on you wallpaper. You can also use Repainter to specify a different color or have finer control over the theme colors. That app requires either root or ADB permissions though.
I installed an app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boxhead.android.sharetofilesystem which allows you to share to your filesystem. Then use the "3 dots, share" that others mentioned.
I use NordVPN and have no issues, I usually get 2-3 MB/s download speed, which is about the cap of my shitty village internet, and it's certainly enough for full quality Netflix (yeah, I use it primarily to get around region locks, not for piracy, yet).
NordVPN used to have some speed problems, but even then it was usually enough to reconnect and get connected to a faster server, nowadays I have almost no issues.
I think that you might be on the right track because currently I'm not seeing background & downloads > playback > "on" setting in the settings area of youtube revanced. Sounds like I need to run another patching session. Thank goodness for me I already have a small app installed on my phone that allows me to turn off the screen and the video keeps playing in the background. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=io.japp.blackscreen
Use a sleep timer like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.baylife.sleeptimer
It will turn your volume down and turn off the screen.
YouTube realizes when you mute your device and stops playing
Also this cloning app is pricey https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.applisto.appcloner.premium but it allows you to make a cloned app and block it from recieving any service including imei.
Use firefox (or not chrome) and duckduckgo. Links provided by google in mobile always try to open official package. Open with can help on Android to force some links to open them to a given app when sharing them.
Roku ew lol. I mean something like Nvidia Shield. Android devices that can support video out.
I'm looking to get this soon:
Disable vanilla YouTube for starters, and that doesn't work install this app
open it and search and launch: com.android.settings.Settings$AppDashboardActivity
Find the revanced after pressing see all apps,
Enable "Open by default", then go to "Add link" and add everything"
install https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.szalkowski.activitylauncher
open activity launcher, search and launch com.android.settings.Settings$AppDashboardActivity
find youtube revanced under Apps -> See all {x} apps
enable "Open by default", then go to "Add link" and add everything
if you have stock yt installed, go to it and disable "Open by default"
based on https://gist.github.com/Drownbywind/1188572357f76315067f85eb6e9665b6 , it's for another app but has images for the steps if you need more guidance
I am on android 12 and chrome does not want to redirect to revanced. Even if I have enabled "open supported links". I have to resort to a external app Open link with to choose which app I want the link to open with, by sharing to that app
Here's the official link of the extension on the chrome web store

If you're on Android though, your best bet (apart from using Vanced/ReVanced/NewPipe) is to use Kiwi Browser and try to install the same extension from the link above.
Maybe if you exclude the MicroG patch, it will generate a YouTube APK. You can test it. The NO ROOT package name is app.revanced.android.youtube. The ROOT must the same as official YouTube: com.google.android.youtube.
To know the package name of an APK, I use MixPlorer, select an APK and tap on open with in the menu.
You can APK analyser too.
If it works, you need to install the APK as a system app. I would avoid the root version. I always had conflict in the past with the default YouTube that update no matter what.
>Android 12 has added something called 'Verified Links' to Android, in where app developers can verify with Google that they own the specified domains that the app is registering to handle. Once verified, opening a supported verified link in Android will automatically open the link in the supported app instead of asking the user which app they want to use.1
Additionally, Android will now open unverified links in the default browser app instead of asking the user.2
What this means is that, since RiF does not own the reddit.com domain and cannot register them as Verified Links, Android 12 users will no longer receive a prompt to open reddit links in RiF.
Taken from the RIF app wiki
You have to download something like Better Open With
All its files are stored in Android > Data > com.termux
I just tested it and it does work (I used Betternet VPN and WireGuard)
This is the tool I used for testing
Private DNS OFF, VPN OFF, 9% of hosts are blocked
Private DNS OFF, VPN ON, 9%
Private DNS ON, VPN OFF, 70%
Private DNS ON, VPN ON, 70%
I also use PiHole on my home network, so I tested that too:
PIHole ON, Private DNS OFF, VPN OFF, 83%
PIHole ON, Private DNS OFF, VPN ON, 9%
PIHole ON, Private DNS ON, VPN OFF, 70%
PIHole ON, Private DNS ON, VPN ON, 70%
Private DNS has the highest priority, then VPN and then other DNS servers like PiHole.
