op didnt downvote. and I also asked you on another thread how to migrate. I can't even log into my google account. https://www.screencast.com/t/501pQQKpXZ is what I get when i try to log-in via google.
This is the correct answer. For further testing, I made this confusing calculator so you can see the value of piercing and boss damage separately and together.
There is no "max". The thing with boss damage and other %damage multipliers like and ranged/melee/total/elemental is that they stack additively. Here's an example with a base damage of 1000:
1000 * 110%bd = 1100.
adding another 10% boss damage will result in a 120% multiplier to your BASE damage:
1000 * 120%bd = 1200.
Instead of a 110% mutliplier to your CURRENT TOTAL DAMAGE of 1100 which would be :
1100 * 110% = 1210.
I made this calculator a while ago to help people test the gain from adding more piercing/boss damage.
this worked for me. Here are clearer steps.
1) Use Facebook or Google Log-in to attempt a log-in.
2) Nexon Launcher will forward you to your browser asking you to put in a new email: https://www.screencast.com/t/501pQQKpXZ
3) Insert a brand new email into the box prompt that you get. If you have to, create a new e-mail account (like I did). This new email will create a brand new nexon-account and port over your existing ms2 data and purchase history.
Thanks @xtony for the extensive right up hope this additional info helps.
From the 3MLE website: "The .DLS using the same sounds as MS2 has been included in the package."
Musescore uses .SF2, so I used Viena soundfont editor to convert maplebeats.dls to .sf2 (for your convenience: https://my.mixtape.moe/lsowrn.sf2), then just change the font with this: https://musescore.org/en/node/50721
Playing from Japan. I use ExpressVPN to connect to Canada and NoPing ping tunnel, which sets my ping around 200-220. It's really not bad at all, obviously not as good as if you were below 100 but you can play all the shit in this game with it fairly comfortably.
I've been using this damage calculator https://tinyurl.com/y9gybt4l that was posted on reddit a few weeks ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/MapleStory2/comments/9rsel4/damage_calculator_ive_been_working_on/
You're welcome! If, when the game releases, you find yourself Geo-restricted you could always make a throw-away Nexon account to connect to MS2 via VPN. If they end up banning the account, it was a throw away so no love lost and your main Nexon account would still be in good standing.
For whatever it's worth, I played the Chinese release of MS2 for two months via a throwaway. Before I loaded the game I would <strong>change my computer's home location</strong> to China and would connect through a Hong Kong node via my VPN. The latency wasn't game-breaking though I would drop occasionally in a really crowded area like the battle arena. I never faced the ban hammer during that time, though your mileage might vary.
You can make your guild, invite people to join. Create events, and take attendance all with a discord integration that lets them either go to the site or fill it out in discord directly.
Get an Acer Aspire E15. You should be able to run above 30 FPS with this most of the time.
Its one of the better budget gaming laptops out in the market. Just remember to use a separate keyboard/controller when playing, because your fingers will feel a considerate amount of heat(I mean, its not too hot, but enough to be annoying). And this is the i5 8th gen build what I've linked, there is an i7 8th gen. And both come with an mx150 which is better than, disgusting Intel integrated.
The i5 model will cost 660$ when adding in taxes. Shipping I would'nt know because I used Amazon Prime to get it.
EDIT: Walking around the Mush park, I'm getting ~27-29 fps with a 1% drop to 22fps. When not rendering other players, it goes to 40fps.
Trying to play from Fukuoka, what vpn (I've tried Softether/VPN Gate and Tunnelbear) are you using and what exact order are you opening the nexon launcher and connecting to vpn? I've tried:
Connecting to VPN, then opening NXL, then logging in. It shows as "not available" in NXL.
Opening NXL, logging in, then connecting to VPN. Same result.
Opening NXL, connecting to VPN, then logging in. Same result.
Tried this through Steam and was able to download the game, but haven't been able to get farther than that. I think that even with the game downloaded through Steam I would still have to have it downloaded through NXL to have it show up properly.
TL;DR I can't get NXL to THINK that I'm in the proper region.
I can say that the VPN method works for sure. I've had NordVPN for quite some time now (bought it mostly for privacy reasons) and I can easily play when being connected to it - but not without it.
Idk what is the issue with the IP addresses, maybe there's a list of ISPs and if you play from an 'unknown one' you get disconnected? No idea but would be great if they fixed this
One to check out might be PrivateVPN and also offer an app for download to make connection easier for those not overly tech-savvy.
You should play between 00-06am Seoul time http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/south-korea/seoul Since peps in South Korea below the age 16 are not allowed to play then. (= less peps on the server = more goodies for foreigners)
Here’s a poll I made that got quite a few replies yesterday that may answer that question. If you have any class specific questions, feel free to ask and I can try to answer https://www.strawpoll.me/16677124
Contact Google about this via recovery options. Have fun!
Contact Nexon support and ask that they migrate you to a Nexon account.
Why am I saying this? Google Plus to shut down in April 2019
Addressing the issues one by one:
1) Mag/Phys pierce ARE LINEAR FUNCTIONS. It's a y = Cx + D function. Graph it if you're that confused. https://www.desmos.com/calculator
2) People keep saying this, but to the best of my knowledge it's a misconception: Pierce and Phys/Mag Pierce only reduce down to 0. BUT, from the maths, it doesn't appear to be true. The calculation IS NOT WRAPPED using a ternary or a min() function. So, just reading the code for the calculation, it appears you can "negatively pierce", or "overpierce", however you want to call it.
3) You're example for proving it's not a linear function is wrong. Result * LinFunc IS NOT proving the ACTUAL FUNCTION is not linear. It's proving a multiple of the function is not linear (of course it's not). However, the scaling for the function IS linear, just as all constant y = x functions are linear.
To conclude, you've basically laid out a bunch of psuedo-maths which does not prove anything. Component-wise, the function for the multiplier PhysPierce is linear, if you search up the damage calculation code for MS2, you'll realise that there is no ternary nor min(), and you're using the f(x) = result of the PhysPierce * PrevDamage instead of f(x) = PhysPierce.
> Tried logging into an account I haven't touched for 2 years, and it was apparently banned when I was no longer even using it.
This usually happens because someone got into the account usually through recovery or through old stolen passwords (check https://haveibeenpwned.com/). Likely the person went on the account and botted, cheated, or was spamming gold sites.
Beginners guide for raids in wow. (fits every mmorpg though)
Number one fits you perfectly and eight as well.
There is an english community already, so i recommend to join there: https://discord.com/invite/kms2
You will find most info you need to start playing kms2 there.
There are good guides for beginners you could look at! Here was one that was recently posted here: https://www.docdroid.net/ogLwCY2/msguidev01.pdf
If you have any specific questions after reading this, let me know :)
You can use Pixlr to edit the template. It's very straight forward. Just take an image, paste it on a layer above the template provided by the game and erase the excess you don't want.
You don't need to be an expert. You can use free photo editing websites like Pixlr to edit your template. It doesn't have to be neat either.
I'm using this as my VPN http://www.vpngate.net/en/howto_softether.aspx#windows It's a great free VPN imo, but keep in mind that if you have been playing without a VPN, you should NOT switch over to one while using the same account. Doing so will most likely get your account blocked because of the fact that your connection IP would go from your home IP to a Korean IP.
The breakthrough formula focuses on your amount of Magic or Physical Attack and your total amount of Percent Damage.
Percent Damage is the addition of the following:
I've written a personal note/guide as I get more information, you can find it here: https://www.guilded.gg/Quack-MS2/games/MapleStory2/docs/764697607

Okay so, I have had this problem and continue to have it. However I read that playing on a VPN helped, and so far that has solved my DISCONNECTING issue. I still get lag sporadically while I fight, but it hasn't gotten to the point of totally kicking me off yet. I was using Private Internet Access VPN with the connection to their Chicago Server (not sure if VPN's are against their ToS in MS2, or where your closest options are as I play on NA East).
WTFast is horrible, and their company has been known to buy positive reviews to mask the poor quality of their software. I'd honestly recommend a paid VPN like Private Internet Access, HideMyAss or BTGuard.
For that price range I'd recommend this laptop which can be found on Amazon:
It will run the game on low settings and may lagg when there's a ton of players in one map (world boss raids, GM summoning events, Tria Ch1) but that's what you'd get for the price range.
If you want a laptop with a dedicated GPU you could also buy a used laptop for a lower price or you could increase your budget a bit more.
