It is supposed to be because she's standing right up to your face, so the upper body should be bigger while her lower body looks smaller, because of perspective. Example chart (from this website).
That being said, I'm not good enough at art to tell if it's accurate, might still be some parts that are off I guess.
Thanks!
>How long did it take?
3-4 hours I guess? I've been working on it from time to time since weeks so I don't really know. Plus I rarely work in a full focus way. I often have written conversations, looking for podcasts and music to listen to while drawing ...
> What software/hardware did you use to colour it?
Free, easy to use.
I made all the icons (except for the Discord logo by u/That1EpicGuy) using a .PNG to .ICO converter and MediBang Paint Pro (Firealpaca but black)

They usually do the concept phase characters on Photoshop, Flash or physical paper.
Then they use Medibang Paint for coloring and outline.
Other than that we use Photoshop for everything else (like setting up spritesheets).
thankyou. :) heres a link i uploaded it to drop box, if the link doesnt work message me and ill just email u it. https://www.dropbox.com/s/4fuk461f2z0t5on/cammie.mdp?dl=0
youll need medibang paint to open this file its a free program. https://medibangpaint.com/en/app-download/
Ah yeah, MSPaint's single non-transparent layer setup is pretty annoying. The programs I use are GIMP and MediBang Paint. The former is basically a free Photoshop and has lots of cool but sorta unnecessary features to play around with, whereas the later is geared entirely towards art. And they both have layers, so although there might be a slight learning curve if you've never used them before, once you get the hang of it it's easy to switch out backgrounds and make other edits~
In Medibang there is a paneling option. Create a new layer, go to the top of the screen where it says “layer” in between “edit” and “filter”. Click on layer then look for the option “add panel material. From there you can use two different tools to manipulate the panels, the divide tool (the one that looks like an exacto blade) and the operation tool (it looks like a pentagon with a mouse cursor in it. If my instructions didn’t make sense you can click here for a more in depth tutorial. I know your manga is in Spanish but I can’t speak it that well, sorry :/ but I did understand what was in the manga and it’s really interesting. Your art style is really unique, gives me Inio Asano vibes. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! I used Medibang Paint Pro, I believe this is the official website: https://medibangpaint.com/en/pc/
Pretty good program, and it's free. Hope this helps ^^
Thank you!
We usually do the concept phase characters on Photoshop, Flash or physical paper.
Then we use Medibang Paint for coloring and outline.
The resolution of the spritesheet depends on how many animations the characters will have, but we usually do 2048x2048px for enemies and 4096x4096px for playable characters.
And one of the tallest enemies we got has 250px of height
Hope this helps!
Medibang Paint is free (!) software for digital drawing, and it's so simple and easy, they take the necessary stuff and make it simple to use while still being super-customizable, here's an example. Also there's the official gallery but it's mostly anime there.
Ah, gotcha. Glad I could help even if it wasn't what you asked for? :,D
You don't need fancy equipment or software to make non-abstract art, though it's definitely easier in some respects. What program/equipment do you use? MediBang Paint is free and has all the essential drawing program features and then some, highly recommend it if you're looking to test software. ~~not a paid promotion I swear~~
Don't know if you're still looking for more recommendations, but I recommend MediBang Paint Pro. It's free and works pretty well for digital art, especially if you want to make comics. But it also works for painting since you can also download brushes for it and try it out.
Use Paint, net if you wanna start making artwork for free. (Clicking that link will give you the official installation files.)
If you want to up your game, go ahead and get a drawing pad and consider either PaintTool SAI or MediBang Paint Pro. Look around for some art to take inspiration from, and just get going. One thing most people do is get an actual drawing of something (either get it drawn or do it yourself) and scan it into your computer, then fill in the colours in a painting program. Or, if you want, colour it in in real life and tint it in Photoshop.
[](/aj20) Thanks for believing in me. We'll see how it goes.
My colleague just showed me a drawing application that I wanna test later. https://medibangpaint.com/en/
I was gonna try photoshop, but this one looks pretty good.
[](/sp) [](/hmmm) Also, today's pone of choice is Princess Celestia?
I always have a lotta respect for people who are ballsy enough to draw using paint + a mouse (?), but it almost always hurts the overall quality of the piece. I can tell you're very skilled (if you can do thAT w/ a mouse (again assuming you are) on paint), and you've got your grasp on basic anatomy n everything, but those lines tho yo. They're super shaky, kinda ruin the piece.
NOW that I've said all that, I'd like to recommend a free upgrade. The main reason why is because a neat little feature called correction, that basically makes the line trail a few pixels behind your pointer (makin it heckin smooth yo), which helps a L O T, esp with a heckin' mouse.
Tldr: https://medibangpaint.com/en/ Keep it up yo
Thanks! The flower detail are actually edited and derived from stock images. You can purchase them from image stock sites, or subscribe with the sites to download them. We use them in fashion, especially when designing for clients who already have an idea or printed fabric ready.
If you are using Medibang, you can get flower stamps and the like from their Cloud Database too. https://medibangpaint.com/en/cloud_brush/mb904311/
Hope that helps~
If you want a better art program for future stuff but ya don't have any money ya can use this man. https://medibangpaint.com/en/ It's completely free and just requires a tutorial run for you to get a good hold on how to use it.
https://medibangpaint.com/en/news/2021/09/information_20210910/
Download and run this to get all the Visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes, because why not?
https://www.techpowerup.com/download/visual-c-redistributable-runtime-package-all-in-one/
The pen correction I'm referring to is the one within the Medibang program [ https://medibangpaint.com/en/use/2019/08/use-correction-to-draw-beautiful-lines/ ]
I also use a Huion tablet and haven't experienced this issue before, but if you don't use pen correction, my second guess would be you might be using up your RAM too quickly. Do you keep any other programs running in the background while drawing?
Pick the color layer (•‿•), thats for regular coloring
Just wanna share some info in 8bit layers
In 8bit layers, u can use it for comic coloring (u know the dot dot things in shading)
i drew them in black in the lineart layer, then i created another layer on top and used the clipping function, then painted them white! clipping is really useful :) here's the explanation on the medibang paint pro web: https://medibangpaint.com/en/use/2019/10/the-clipping-function/
Check if Pen Pressure is checked on or off in the settings. Also try messing with the settings on the individual brushes in the palette (little icon that looks like a paint palette)
Idk if this this will help, not familiar with iPad settings for Medibang but I'd check this out. I'd also check out your brush pallete and check settings on whichever brush you are using. You can at least tick off pen pressure on the brushes you don't want to use the pressure on
Please hold Z and draw, your current brush works as an eraser.
Also please check this article: https://medibangpaint.com/en/news/2015/06/ca_release_ver-1-6-1/
Try a different app like medibang or sketchbook (both are free). Think I've seen this come up with Ibis before but can't remember a solution.
Or maybe check the Accessibility settings on the phone to see if you can force a cursor to show. Might be a bit in the way (not sure if you can adjust size), but worth trying
Can also try medibang. Think all their system requirements are fairly close though. Compare your system specs with their minimum and recommended requirements... maybe there's something you can consider upgrading in your laptop, like RAM, if funds are available
One thing I've run in to when using the program "ArtRage" is the setting "use precise tablet". If I use this with my intuos, the cursor tracks my pen perfectly until I actually start drawing, then the line is off from from where it should be.
I did a search for how to change input device settings in Medibang Paint and got this page. I Idon't see any settings that would replicate what I've run in to with ArtRage other than possibly "Brush Coordinate", but that only selects between absolute and relative coordinate modes so I doubt it would help.
Can you describe what it is that leads you to conclude your line is being interpreted as longer than it is? What you are physically/visually experiencing? Pictures or screen shots would help.
Krita, Medibang, and Autodesk Sketchbook should work fine. They are free so you can test out and see.
the standard software is photoshop- however adobe subscriptions are so expensive so unless you can easily afford it i dont recommend it.
fire alpaca and medibang paint pro are two different programs made by the same company. fire alpaca is generally more user friendly, however you have more range in medibang and, if you want to transition over to photoshop eventually, medibang has the closest layout to it ive seen.
if youre working on windows paint tool sai is highly rated- its a single time payment of i want to say 25$? i dont work on windows though so i cant say for sure how well it works.
I use Medibang and it's completely free to use. They have a version for iPad as well.
https://medibangpaint.com/en/ipad/
I basically use the default resolution (on Medibang) which is 350 dpi and the canvas size is A4.
Are these supposed to be a set of panels or a smooth collage? If its supposed to be smooth, try to copy and paste selections, make a blurred version of one paste, then clip the main paste over it. It'll blur the edges of your selection and make it easier to create a smooth collage.
Also, try to use less saturated colours and higher quality assets, it'll make the result a lot more professional.
Lastly, use better contrast for your text and generally a better font. Making it bold and an easier to read colour would help a whole lot. Maybe you could add a blurred backdrop for the text as well?
For stuff like this I'd recommend using MediBang Paint since its very beginner friendly and simple. Good luck creating these, feel free to ask me questions if you need help.
I love my sonar pen! I just wished it worked with my programs better because I super hate charging my Apple Pencil.
this page on the Medibang Paint website says how to get the stylus to work with their app. it does need to be plugged in to work properly. I hope that helps!
Personally I use Medibang Paint Pro. I have a Samsung Laptop and a drawing tablet and it works really well! It's also free, just as an added bonus.

Here's the download link :)
Hey, I reported it to them. I hope it gets fixed soon. Some advice that as worked (at least for me and some others) was to reinstall an older version. I reinstalled Medibang Paint Pro (Setup-25.0-64bit) (the updated ver. was 25.1) and I have my shortcuts back.
I don't know if my report will help. In order to send it in, I HAD to check off a box that said the problem was "solved". The form required me to check off at least one out of three boxes. The statements next to them were something like: "the problem was solved when I updated", "the problem was solved when I closed the program", and "...when I restarted the computer".
I hope that it was an error and the check box was supposed to say "no" instead of "yes" because it would not let me report the problem without saying it was solved. I clarified in my message that it happened after the update and would not disappear after I closed the program or restarted my PC.
I'm sure they will hear about the problem soon tho lol.
You can report a bug (which I assume it is) here:
Hiya!! I'm currently writing a post for the Discord about this very topic, haha! If you're not a member there, we have a #creative channel where everyone is really supportive and friendly. There's a lot of great advice given there!
If you're looking for Free software (which I highly recommend if you're just starting starting out), here are some direct links for you. YouTube is also your friend to learn how to utilize the programs!
Krita - My personal favorite, easy to use and set up, especially with a drawing tablet.
Sketchbook - Created by Autodesk, recently became free to use earlier this year. Classmates of mine really like this program.
Medibang - I attempted this one but wasn't a fan of the layout. However, there are people on the Discord who do use this!
----
If you have an iPad, I would highly recommend Procreate. It's $10 and it's a lifetime buy, you only purchase it once. I also use the Adobe Creative Cloud as a student and it's $20 a month for your first year with a student membership, then it jumps to $30 a month for the second year.
Hope this helps! :D
Er. I don't know how accurate your translations are as I don't know Japanese but I help out in editing manga pages from time to time.
Please use comic fonts and don't use a Serif font. I checked the program you're using and it says Wild Words is available in this said program. If you can somehow acquire it, please use that instead or if there's a way to add custom fonts, please do so. Not sure though considering Medibang isn't the norm for editing manga. Usually, scanlators use Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Indesign. If you wanna do this in the long run, I suggest you switch to using Photoshop.
If look for a good recommendation for a illustration software i suggest "MediBang Paint" its the closest software to ps or clip studio and a great moble app and free cloud storage for your illustrations so you can switch between pc and mobile and its all "FREE" and "NO SUBSCRIPTIONS OR ANY KIND OF FEE" Here a link to their website: ( https://medibangpaint.com/en/ )
They usually do the concept phase characters on Photoshop, Flash or physical paper. Then they use https://medibangpaint.com/en/ for coloring and outline.
Other than that we use Photoshop for everything else (like setting up spritesheets).
I use Medibang Paint Pro, it's free and basically made for making manga. I use it to make my memes and typeset the chapters. And they have 'CC wildwords', my favourite font to use.
Same here. You get used to its idiosyncrasies over time, but if you're not planning on using it for a long time (>1 month) then I'd advice use to check out Medibeng Paint.
Someone else recognizes FA!! Here ya go~ There's also MediBang Paint by the same people; differences are mostly aesthetic plus some bonus modes (FA has some animation settings, MBP has free comic resources). I usually recommend the latter since it's more up-to-date, but they're both solid programs!
(If you meant a download for the brush, it's literally one black square. I forget what size but it doesn't really matter with those settings.)
I'm late to this post, but if you're an artist, MediBang Paint is a free digital art application for Windows, Mac, Android, and iOS. It can even export your files as PSDs! My other favorite free app is Telegram Messenger because it's free, encrypted, way better than WhatsApp (not owned by Facebook), and it's supported on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, Web, Windows Phone, and iOS.
it's this extremely easy to use, fairly decent art program that's free to download, and i love it a lot tbh
josh ovalle is my favorite actor 😩 he's the best Dustin in IT
>I did mostly use Paint
This is why your colouring is bad. I mean ... PAINT? Dafuq r u doing with your life?
Use this. 100% free. That's what I used for all my colourings. For example I did this one for Chapter 100's colouring.
Open Medibang Paint Pro.
Open original black/white page.
Layer > Convert > Convert Layer to 8 bit
Now all the white is made transparent. You got a line layer you can properly colour.
You can now add layers below the line layer to add colour. If you want to learn more about how to work on colouring layers efficiently, ask me.
No need to work on an actual colouring. Just try it out. It's a game changer trust me. Using paint here was making your job 10 times harder at least.
