Thank you so much!I used a custom made brush by a youtuber name Ahmed Aldoori, here's the link to his free brush https://gumroad.com/medders !it's a pressured brush :D
Had fun drawing my OC and working with the lighting.
Also really enjoyed drawing this little alien friend—something about it is so cute yet a bit creepy :')
you can see more of this character on my other socials!
Even bigfoot gotta bathe. Protip: check the size of your canvas vs the reference image BEFORE you paint.

wooooow you’re fucking shameless, way to steal content, edit the photo, and claim it as yours. Disgusting.
Here’s the page of the person who got the actual shot this fake claims is their “art” : https://www.pexels.com/photo/red-jellyfish-swimming-in-water-2698871/
Hi, first of all, it is a nice thing you are doing. The digital art is great that you can really scale it as you go. You can start with a free painting software for now like Krita ( https://krita.org/en/ ) and if your son sticks with it you can gradually move to paid software. Not to worry though, even Photoshop, that is one of the best ones is like $25/month.
Same thing with hardware. You can start of with Wacom One, which is like $50-$60 and is pretty good for beginners.
Honestly, you can do fantastic digital art with the cheapest hardware and free painting soft, it is mostly a matter of how fast/easy will the creation process be.
Your computer should be fine. Just a side note though, it is not as much about GPU as it is about CPU and RAM. For small beginner stuff, an average computer should be okay.
Type of music can really help. You’ll have to try out different things to see what helps you zone in and what type of music distracts or overexcites you. Try have a bit of ritual for sitting down to draw, like always having same type of tea in the same mug, starting with the same music track. I think a lot of it is also just training your brain. Look into something like the pomodoro technique which breaks the time you want to focus for into smaller, more manageable chunks: https://todoist.com/productivity-methods/pomodoro-technique
Depends on what you mean by digital media.
If its just graphic design and illustration, you'd probably manage with 8GB RAM and an i5 or equivalent processor. Like the Acer Nitro 5.
If you are doing video editing, i5 works ok but you'll want at least 16GB of RAM.
I've had a Wacom Intuos Pen and Touch before. It was a really super little budget tablet https://www.amazon.co.uk/Wacom-CTH-490-digital-graphics-painting/dp/B013SMINQ4/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=intuos+pen+and+touch&qid=1624110801&sr=8-3
I don't think Wacom support Linux natively but there is a project to support Linux users who want to use Wacom here: https://linuxwacom.github.io/
Apparently the drivers from this project are included in a lot of major linux distrubutions so some tablets will just work straight out of the box for you. Otherwise they have a process you can work through to try to get it working.
Hope this helps!
Do you think the Lenovo Flex 5 would work as good as your Surface, like what should I be looking for in a 2in1 laptop for drawing specially landscapes?
Thanks for the feedback! I just tossed this in my amazon wish list. I tried the iPad at a store and I can’t say I was overly impressed with it as a drawing tablet, but I have seen some people do some great looking art on it.

this is the one i ended up getting.. seeing as its on sale . big , and has command keys.. the one i WAS going to buy had a coupon for 225 yesterday. making it 600 something... but not as high specs as this one. ended up taking a nap to think about it . woke up and the coupon was GONE .. so i figured. id just bite the bullet , pay a little more and hope for the best... and if i dont like it , thankfully i can just return it..

i was taking a look at the screenless ones after the tablet i wanted dropped the coupon though... i just couldn't bring myself to buy one instead... i been spoiled with a screen.
I got one of these, and absolutely love it. It is large, has tilt, 8K pressure sensitivity and SO MANY customizable shortcut buttons.
https://www.amazon.com/HUION-Inspiroy-Graphics-Battery-Free-Sensitivity/dp/B01FTE9HS2
heres a galaxy s9for 139.99 pounds
are you using the specific usb c to usb c cord produced by huion for the kamvas series, or a generic usb c to usb c?for example this(the official one)
it needs to have a usb c to usb plugged into a power source as well
Do you draw traditionally now? Most cost effective would be a simple tablet that is not a display, unless you have cash to burn. (Intuos or similar) Example
These require you to be a bit more adept at drawing, however. Simply because you are watching your PC screen, but drawing on the surface that is tabletopped. It's not bad, but it does take some getting used to.
If you have to jump in with both feet...the best bang for your buck IMHO is the XPPEN Pro 22 Probably the closest you will get to a Wacom Cintiq without blowing $15-1800.00 USD.

Good luck, let us know what you decide.
This is the one I personally use it is a bit pricy but is good for a drawing tablet. Screen ones cost A LOT more because it it is essentially another monitor. The software I use is Medibang which is free but takes some time to get used to.
I have a monitor and a graphics tablet hooked up to my pc.
I can change it in Windows settings to use the tablet as a second monitor which displays different stuff, so I can have a reference image on my actual monitor while having Photoshop on my tablet, or I can make the 2 screens show the same thing.

You don't connect a screen to the tablet, you connect the tablet to your pc via a HDMI cable if it's a graphics tablet or a usb cable if it's a drawing tablet.

A drawing tablet is purely an input device, you will be looking up at the monitor while drawing on the tablet, think of it like an oversized laptop mouse but with a stylus rather than your finger.

A graphics tablet is basically a monitor that's also a pressure sensitive touch screen. With this you can look at the tablet as you draw it.

A drawing tablet requires a separate monitor, a graphics tablet does not.
I'm in the same boat as you rn. When I first spoke to my artist about it she told me that tattoo colouring works a lot like watercolor painting and she recommended making your immediate portfolio a mix of both digital and traditional, digital is great but traditional will help you remember the permance of your marks.
I'd recommend a tablet with a built in display screen so you can record timelapses and process video of your designs for some more social media outreach and a high resolution so your recordings aren't fuzzy.
the tablet I use is an XP Artist 12 2nd Gen mine does need to be hooked up but I connect it to my laptop which is portable.
Best of luck. Draw draw and keep on drawing
I use this. I use a walker and this fits on the tray that attaches perfectly. It turns and tilts in any direction you need and supports the Ipad pro 12.9 perfectly. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09M6G973R/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

If there is one book I would recommend that teaches you all the basics of anatomy simply and easily: Morpho: Simplified Forms by Michel Lauricella
In youtube video; Marco Bucci makes quick and understandable videos, he teaches all the basics and more in terms of composition, color, strokes etc.
You should make the shirt a dark gray or black like the original poster - https://www.amazon.com/John-Wick-Blu-ray-DVD-Digital/dp/B00OV3VGP0
Very cool though!!!
It's like $20 for a 200ml paint tube. 1 You aren't getting an ipad for cheaper than the ~$100-150 it cost to get a basic set up to paint with analog stuff. You are going to have a hard time finding a display pad for that price as well. This is all discounting the price of a PC. If you aren't going way too big with your paintings, I would bet you can get 100 out of a 200 ml basic color set.
Personally I use the Samsung tab s6 lite. It comes with a stylus that you don't have to pay extra for. The stylus is felt tip and can wear down easily so the only thing I suggest is getting rubber pen tips for it. Other than that I love my Samsung tablet to draw on. I also use it for notes. If your new to digital art their is a very friends free drawing app on android devices called Sketchbook.
The screen is a 10.4 inch display
Would help if you could share what kind of phone you're using.
If you don't mind using one without a screen, the Wacom Intuos Small is either $41 or $88 depending on whether you need bluetooth or not. Should be compatible with Android, MacOS, windows, chromebook. Again, without info on your phone, IDK if it'd work, but you can check the amazon page.
You won't be able to find an art tablet with a screen for anywhere near that budget. Cheapest graphics drawing tablet I could find was the Huion Kamvas 13, and even that needs to be hooked up to a laptop/PC.
Weeks before NASA releases first images of James Webb Space Telescope, we were excited about this event in our small smartwatch software development team, so we came up with this idea and decided to build a watch face to appreciate this great achievement of engineering. Praise Webb Watch Face is a symbolic illustration, an artwork, inspired by the shape and look of the James Webb Telescope. It is designed for smartwatches with Wear OS by Google. You can download it for free at:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=watch.geometric.praisewebbwatchface
The watch face consists of digital display and a hexagonal shape similar to the telescope. The shape is actually an analog clock. Each of outer 12 hexagons corresponds to the numbers 1 to 12 just like a regular clock. A hexagon turns on or off to reflect the current time. For instance, if the time is 22:30, then hexagons #10 and #6 are highlighted and tiny beams from these hexagons are reflected onto the center of the telescope. There are 6 hexagons on the inner part of the shape which turn on and off one by one every second to display passage of seconds.
This early version is a simple watch face with two user-selected complications plus current date. Future updates of the watch face will include more options, complications and features such as color themes and so forth.

I commissioned this cover artwork. It was done by the incredible Ryuutsu. You can find her web site here: https://www.ryuutsu.com
It turned out so beautifully that I wanted to show it off (and shill my book in the process).
The Mambo Wizard: Breakfast is Served! available for purchase from Amazon now.
It's a little difficult but I think I can help you!
Amazon Fire Tablets usually go for around $100 or less, and can run ibisPaint decently. The most expensive one that I came across was just around $200 but you can definitely get one much cheaper.
Try going for a tablet that's 32 or 64 GB or more, it'll have more space available if your daughter wants to save her artworks to her tablet or have more than enough space to watch Netflix and play games or whatnot.
Ibis is great for starting digital art, and it can bring your daughter's art far if she knows how to use it. It's also great if she's into anime or manga art.
IbisPaint has tutorials on their social media and YouTube pages so there's already a ton of information available there to her at her disposal. Ibis also has a user friendly UI on it, so it won't be as overwhelming as looking at Photoshop's UI for the first time or as underwhelming as seeing Procreate's UI for the first time.
As for styluses/pens, you'll want to go for a stylus that will work on pretty much any screen. My sister got a tablet recently and this one has worked well for her despite being from a separate brand, it's on Amazon as well and it's relatively cheap;
Mixoo Stylus Pen for Touch... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B095P8J96M?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I hope this helps !!💕💕
A capacitive stylus. Non battery one. One youtuber that I follow recommend https://www.amazon.com/Mixoo-Capacitive-Sensitivity-Precision-Universal/dp/B01N2OJX82
Check you his video. He got a link to it. Someone even mentioned on why he is not using samsung spen. But he stands on that stylus.
I have this and love it so far:
https://www.amazon.com/HUION-Inspiroy-Graphics-Battery-Free-Sensitivity/dp/B01FTE9HS2
I love how many shortcuts I've been able to program into the pen touch strip at the top.
I am not sure how much I would use the double sided drawing of the first one, but if you take a tablet on the go, without a PC, it might be a neat feature to have.
Basically it boils down to what you find more useful. If you listen to a lot of media and the ease of controls right on your tablet, the media one would be nice to have, not to mention... it is a very prettu tablet, being that it comes in Starry Blue rather than the basic black of a lot of models.
All three of these have about the same features: The Ink is a bit smaller and the Starry Blue one is a bit largrer than the one I linked.
Do you need fewer shortcut keys or would you rather have more? Is the dual sided drawing one going to feel more weird sitting against a table, because it's resting against another drawing surface rather than feet that keep it from sliding?
All three have 8K pressure level and 60° tilt pen, which along with the larger size, was the main reason I chose the Inspiroy I did. All it comes down is user preference of what is most useful to YOU.
Study Boris Vallejo, look for technique books for the style.

theres also one used and its below 30 dollars, i had this when i first started and it was lovely with no issues, seems its kinda fallen off the face of the earth but its super reliable and feels amazing to use.
You could always buy a cheap non-screen tablet while you are saving up for one with a screen so you can start becoming familiar with the tools in the art program, and trying out different programs to find the one that suits you best.
There are drawing tablets as cheap as $25 https://www.amazon.com/HUION-H420X-Battery-free-Compatible-Chromebook/dp/B092QL5HFK and yeah, it says it's marketed for OSU players, but it has 8K pressure levels for drawing programs, and though it isn't big, if you got something like this you could still work on drawing while you save up for a much more expensive piece of equipment if you don't already have the budget for it.
Also, about programs:
The art program is really up to what suits you best, as there are a lot of art programs out there to choose between. Sometimes though, some do suit your needs more than others depending on what style you want to practice.
For example, Rebelle and Corel Painter were both more geared towards emulating traditional media like Oil Paints and watercolor. Though other programs CAN look like that, both these programs have what is called a live watercolor engine, for dripping and watercolor blooms.
These programs wouldn't really be that great if you wanted something like anime cell shades style, because the tools aren't geared for the artists. So yeah, while you CAN choose any program, sometimes knowing that if a program is geared more towards a certain style, or is more for photomanipulation rather than drawing like some art programs are for, helps.
Depends on what you WANT. If you want a graphics tablet with a screen, those are much more expensive than ones without a screen. I honestly prefer one without and you get used to looking at your monitor rather than your drawing surface, but some people prefer a graphics tablet with a screen to look at the surface they are drawing on.
There are a lot of decent freeware art programs, so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg to get started. I am biased for Clip Studio, which isn't a free program but is really affordable, especially when it goes on sale several times a year.
Medibang was my favorite freeware, but I have seen a lot more artists recommend Krita for freeware instead. Nothing wrong with prefering something different though.
If you don't mind a smaller non-screen drawing tablet to get started, you could easily start for under $50.
Huion for example is a Wacom competitor that is more affordable, O got a Large tablet for $70 at the start of this year. The One by Wacom is a pretty affordable tablet if you want to go with Wacom.
You don't have to start with top of the line equipment. This is my current tablet (the connector port on my Wacom fell apart after 10 years of use) so I decided to give Huion a try. So far, I haven't had any complaints about it, and it is MUCH cheaper for a Large tablet than Wacom would have been.
https://www.amazon.com/HUION-Inspiroy-Graphics-Battery-Free-Sensitivity/dp/B01FTE9HS2
Basically the tablet is the only thing you would really need to purchase, if you went with a free program.
Here is the information from Apple stating the iPad 6 works with Apple pencil 1.
"You can use Apple Pencil (1st generation) with these iPad models: ... iPad (6th generation) iPad Air (3rd generation) iPad Pro 12.9-inch (1st or 2nd generation)Jan 31, 2022
https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211029
The iPad 6 is so old, you can only get refurbished ones. Also I don't know how long Apple will support it.
Apple 9.7in iPad (6th Generation, 128GB, Wi-Fi Only, Silver) (Renewed) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07G4M8TXS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_i_5T5B22WCBEDNFFMBJ29N
You can start with a free program to learn like Gimp or maybe even Blender (although that is more focused towards 3D but does support 2D as well). For paid photoshop is generally seen as the best option.
Best place to start is online, there are a lot of video's on youtube to learn from. Besides that you always have forums on websites like tumblr, deviantart and on reddit you have subreddits for tips and constructive criticism when it comes to drawing.
Lastly what you can do to help her is only give her inspiration for things to draw and brainstorm with her. But guessing from this post you are already motivating and supporting her enough.
I think he means he dont want a big bulky pen, like the stylus you draw with, i know huion have a pen you can use on paper and on some of their tablets https://www.amazon.com/HUION-Battery-Free-Pressure-Inspiration-Synchronize/dp/B08C9LHKPD
As a starting place to learning how to draw more generally, this book can be a good starting place: Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain
There's quite a few models if the kamvas. I'm kinda surprised it's so expensive on their store but I found it for much cheaper on amazon
If you’re concerned about money, you can get necessary tools like drawing tablets for very cheap if you’re willing to cut back on some features.
You’re going to get a lot of opinions, and remember that’s all these are. So here’s mine. I actually like the foreground image, but there’s for me a huge mismatch between the foreground and the background. I’d lose the marbling and see what a flat color from the foreground might look like, see what a fully minimal tone composition ignited look like. Could be good. Another option is to use a tool like this, it can help focus your palette.

Hi there. Totally OK to just want to do it for fun. So I’d check out Krita (https://krita.org/en/). Solid free software. On their website too you’ll be able to find tutorial/guide book to help you get started. Plenty of YouTube vids as well. This digital art for beginners post has links to learning resources and YouTube channels to check out. Hope this helps
I think the iPad is amazing for drawing on! Can’t you transfer some files off of it onto your computer to free up some storage?
For a drawing app for the computer, have you tried Krista it’s open source and free. 🙂
Clip Studio Paint is a solid option with a once-off payment. They occasionally cut the price in half when they run their specials. Might want to keep an eye out for that.
Krita is free and also good. Can animate in there too.
Hey guys,
we are Groovy Pixels, and we created an app that automatically converts your photos to Anime-like digital painting. It's super simple: just open a photo, and let the AI do the magic.
Note that, unlike a lot of apps in the face-editing genre, your photo does not get uploaded to any server for processing. Instead, all the work is done right on your device. You can try it by disabling your WiFi and cellular connection and running the app.
To get better results, we crop to the face on the photo.
Get it on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.groovypixels.animepic
What do you guys think?
Hmmm, if it’s a touchscreen you could get him something like this https://www.amazon.com/Screens-UROPHYLLA-Capacitive-Laptops-Replacement/dp/B07VSFN8XD/ref=mp_s_a_1_1_sspa?crid=14P6NYFCE8V9W&keywords=touch+screen+stylus&qid=1639375676&sprefix=touch+screen+stylus%2Caps%2C116&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1.... But that’s just the top search result there might be other cool ones if you search for touch screen stylus. If it’s not a touch screen he has some sort of external drawing tablet, and you will need to sneakily find out the brand to know what to get. Could be Wacom or Huron most likely. Hope this helps a little bit.
i'd personally recommend starting him off with a standard huion or wacom drawing tablet until you know he enjoys digital art and wants to continue pursuing it, then "graduating" to a graphics tablet (the ones with the screens, cintiq is a more expensive example, but i use a huion kamvas 22) or one of the newer ipad models that work with the apple pencil and can use art programs like procreate - unless y'all already have an ipad that can do that! that'd be an excellent introduction i think.
i don't have a specific model to recommend but this is an example of what kind of tablet i'm talking about when i say "standard drawing tablet:" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DPC98DT/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_N6TCGV7S6QZWZWVREKZD
the slight downside of these tablets is they can take a bit to get used to since you're drawing on the tablet while looking at the computer screen but eventually it becomes like riding a bike. you may also want to get him some proper art software. there are lots of good free digital art programs people tend to recommend, like krita or firealpaca. you could maybe get him clip studio paint or another paid software later on if he's interested. an ipad has different software, like procreate. i should probably state i'm coming at this from the perspective of a PC user so i can't recommend anything for mac.
good luck and i'm glad y'all support his hobby!
Definitely not my best work, but I think I at least got it in the ballpark. I really think Heavypaint works a lot better on a big desktop monitor than on an iPad or Android tablet.

Yeah i dont get adobe's monetization, they basically turned it into a service where users have to pay monthly/yearly. If you're focusing on drawing I would say Krita is the best choice.
Also if you're looking for a free vector art program I would totally recommend Inkscape . They recently updated to version 1.0 and it soo good, I would even say it can compete to Illustrator now.
If you can scan as PNG it MIGHT recognize only the cutout you put in the scanner.
I think maybe grab yourself some different software. Krita is free and might give you more possibilities for editing. In there, the wand is a selection tool.
I'm not sure how skilled you are in other art, but basically just start.
Pick a program, Krita is a popular free program at the moment, check out /r/krita
There would be a bunch of others out there too. Here's a comment from 3 years ago but most of the software would still be relevant
Then Youtube. Watch tutorials on the programs you decide to use, art-styles tutorials, speed art videos. There's an endless supply.
I started out by just following tutorials, and eventually you can start adding your own unique additions to it and then start creating your own work from scratch.
I'm using a fairly old (5 years old) HP windows laptop and it runs fine. It will be the software that will determine if you need a better computer or not.
As far as software goes, I also haven't use 3D software since college, so if it's free, give it a try. 3DS and Maya are really expensive.
For drawing and painting I use https://krita.org/en/ which is my favorite or https://www.gimp.org which are both powerful programs compatible to photoshop. There are some free vector art programs but I dont mess with vector art cause I love my sanity.
I love the different poses and amazing style of the models that this photographer captures:
http://firealpaca.com/en/topics/What+is+Clipping%3F.
If you want a clean pairing you can you use clipping.
Try a different app like medibang or sketchbook (both are free). Think I've seen this come up with Ibis before but can't remember a solution.
Or maybe check the Accessibility settings on the phone to see if you can force a cursor to show. Might be a bit in the way (not sure if you can adjust size), but worth trying
Well Clip Studio Paint is on sale till tomorrow for $25 which isn't bad for what it gives you, and of course Krita is free if one wants to try that.
Hi there. Yes for sure, totally fine to start with digital tools. There is something to be said though for grabbing an actual pencil and sketchbook and pushing graphite around.
The fundamentals of drawing will apply no matter what tool you are using.
There are courses and tutorials that cover the fundamentals. You can find some YT channels worth checking out in this post.
With an iPad, you might want to consider an app like Procreate. On their website is a guide for getting familiar with the software. You can search for beginners tutorials on YT as well.
If you don't wanna spend too much, I hear ipads are becoming increasingly popular as an alternative to cintiqs. I however use a cintiq 13hd because I got lucky windfall but i kinda wish I didn't lol

Have fun, good luck! :)
Also for what it's worth, there's an open-source alternative to Photoshop called Krita. If the complexity of Photoshop is what threw you off then maybe this might be up your lane - it tries to be Photoshop as much as it can but is quite simplistic in comparison.
This painting was fun to paint but towards the end a little stressful because my photoshop document became corrupt, not sure why - could have been because of a power surge… I at least save regular process images so I had to use the latest one and work from there… wasn’t ideal but I think I made it work and I’m happy with the result! ✨
Hope you guys like it!

I found a huion one thats pretty good but its a no go if it has to be hooked with a computer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07S4HSKR2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_4Z46Y3889BYZS1N0G1YN?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 It doesnt look like it has to be but you tell me
The picso tablet is a nice entry. It's not too expensive. Although it's not a drawing tablet just an Android tablet with preloaded drawing software and comes with a pen. Comes with Autodesk sketchbook and Artflow.

Thisis the one I use, it's about $50 and I've been using it for almost a year with no complaints.
I know the Wacom Cintiq is good, but I never used it personally. I own a Huion Kamvas 22 as an alternative and it works really good! The colors aren’t too off, and it doesn’t lag and it’s really smooth. And the screen doesn’t scuff.
Here’s what I bought: 2020 HUION KAMVAS 22 Graphics Drawing Tablet with Screen Android Support Battery-Free Stylus 8192 Pen Pressure Tilt Adjustable Stand - 21.5inch https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BZ729QJ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_os2DprDetqV4s
Hope this helps!
If you’re in need of a tablet, I recommend this: HUION H610 Pro V2 Graphic Drawing... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DPC98DT?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share $50. It’s big and it works just like a Wacom tablet. I use it and it really smooth.
For a software? You can get Paint Tool sai for free, just do some research. FireAlpaca is free and works really good. Clip studio paint is $50 but it’s worth the money :) it’s like paint tool sai and photoshop into one.
I took a second look at the tablets specs. Not as good as I thought and probably not great for what you want to do.
I started with this tablet a year ago and it's wonderful.
It supports tilt on Android and Mac. You might be able to get tilt on windows but I doubt it. It works sometimes only. It's got plenty quick buttons and it's very spacious
I'm not entirely sure either, it says the maximum print resolution. For example this Amazon link , in the about section it says "9600 x 2400 dots per inch maximum print resolution". I do my art at 300 dpi, which is high. So I'm a bit confused what print resolution means.
Also, how would you check the gamut of a printer?
the first thing i got was a i Wacom, but huion is pretty good too ive heard (ive never tried it)
They have more cheap products https://www.amazon.com/Huion-H420-Graphics-Drawing-Tablet-dp-B00MGLD3E6/dp/B00MGLD3E6/ref=dp_ob_title_ce
It has 4/5 stars, so its pretty good for a begginer
Getting your first tablet is an amazing step forward as an artist. I've had the Intuos XL for years. However, I find Wacom overpriced in todays market.
You can get a 19.5 inch screen for $600. Going for a 2 in 1 is forcing yourself into technology that doesn't live up to reality.

The person who suggest an Apple is probably not an actual artist who works many hours a day on these tablets. You use a lot of hotkeys during digital drawing/painting. It is an extensive workflow everyone optimizes in their own way through the years. You're not going to do that on an Ipad, the heat will slow it down after some work and it will start to lag. It might be useful for doing some quick sketches on your way to work though.
Either you get a second-hand laptop with it, or save up a bit longer. That Ipad is going to burn brighter than chernobyl within 2 years or I'll eat my shoe.
Don’t think OP did this, looks like a theft. Low image quality (lots of compressions) + the image has already been circulating the internet since 2014, and can be found all over Pinterest and even on some wikias. It’s a highly commercialized image, there’s even jigsaw puzzles of it.

thank you!
as much as i would want a tablet with display, the price seems more than im willing to put for "trying it out".
i think i might go with the Deco mini 7, or maybe the Huion Inspiroy H640P (ever heard of it?)

All hand drawn artwork by me! thank you for supporting artists!
I would buy a mid range one, don't go for the extremely cheap ones. My laptop has a smaller amount of storage but a vega graphics card. It honestly shouldn't be in issue unless she wants to run multiple programmes at once while on a drawing app. And some drawing apps are a bit more demanding than others, I had an older laptop and photoshop would constantly freeze or crash, but gimp was completely fine. I recently bought a cheaper drawing pad for around £50 off of amazon and I love it, 8 hotkeys and I'm pretty sure it is compatible with Windows and mac (you'll need to check what version). But this was by far the best one I found, over 8000 levels of pen pressure, free pen, pen stand, replacement pen tips, and a drawing glove free with the package. It also has a 10"x6.25" work area so definitely one of the larger ones I've seen, it is also so light and easy to install, I love it! Came next day for delivery, and I'm happy because it is a well known brand "Xp-Pen" compared to the cheaper stuff you can find on amazon. And when she's saved up some money then buy her one with a screen as these are just sensors connecting to the pc, though screens are quite expensive, mine was around $450 off of amazon, also an Xp Pen brand and is pretty nice. So I recommend this one! This one also runs with free programmes such as Gimp, and Krita, but you gotta be careful as some don't and you'll be forking out a hefty price for another editor. https://www.amazon.com/XP-PEN-DECO-01-Graphics-Sensitivity-Illustrator/dp/B07BWDJ2CQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?keywords=Xp+pen+deco01&qid=1572889965&sr=8-3
Huion Kamvas 13 (2020)
I have a screenless Huion that is really nice, but I'm finding more and more that I like to SEE where my pen is stroking (like on a tablet). I use Illustrator a lot and after lots of research and product reviews, this seems to be the best bang for the buck.
Good luck!

Huion Kamvas Pro 16 — 15.6in
Price: $380USD
Release: 2019
It’s a bit over budget, but this is the drawing tablet that I use currently and was also recommended to me. Has a screen, though only works when plugged into a computer or laptop. Thin and feels great!
Of course there’s the top of the line Photoshop for digital art, but that’s quite expensive ($60 per month).
I can also recommend Clip Studio Paint (one time purchase of 60$) or Paint Tool Sai (around $50, also one time purchase).
The only free alternative that is not a hot garbage scam is Krita.
Good luck!
If you are looking for a tablet you plug into a computer or laptop, here ya go! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07S7BCTWW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8
This is the one I got. Works great!
Thank you! Well I wouldn't 100% recommend using what I'm using. I definitely went the cheap route since it's just what I could afford and it does limit what I can do a bit. I use a refurbished ipad air 1 and this stylus https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07P8QSJD1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I have been using this one for about a year. I am still a beginner but it works well. I plan to keep it for travel when I upgrade to the 16.
$50 I havent seen a reveiw of this one, but it seems to be better and higher quality, but I've seen a reveiw on the other one, and that seemed like a really good one too
>but could you tell me what's the active area of your tablet
I just googled this dk if its accurate but its 10" x 6.25"
https://www.amazon.com/HUION-1060-Plus-Graphic-Pressure/dp/B01FTE9HS2 and btw here's the link
>was the active area the only issue you had with the xp pen tablet?
Well I was never actually able to make proper art with that tablet, maybe I could've put more effort into making one but it just wasnt it for me.I kinda wasted my money on it but well it was kinda cheap too so the quality wasnt that good.
