Some words from the artist regarding this piece:
Rusałka is a slavic female demon usually appearing around lakes, ponds or rivers. She deceives men and drowns them. I wanted to show her as a dead corpse that uses a charm, so that she looks like a pretty woman when out of the water.
I've had some voices wondering about the swastikas on the rims of the guys shirt. So to make it clear. I have no connotations with any extreme right wing parties nor do I keep any nazi or racist oriented beliefs. Swastika has been used for hundreds of years in Poland, before Hitler stole it and spoilt it for everyone. The action of the image takes place in 9th or 10th century. If you want to know more about swastikas just wiki it. There is a really broad and interesting article written about it.
These stones appeared seemingly put of nowhere, their origin is unknown as is their purpose. Some believe them to be relics of a lost civilization, such as Atlantis, whilst others wonder if they perhaps came from another world.
The stones hover silently, no pattern in their dispersal can be found and they seem to non discriminatly scatter themselves across the entire worlds oceans.
What happens next remains to be seen, until further notice these monoliths are off limits to all, including military and governing bodies.
When shadows lengthen up, and fog tongues intertwine at the vortexes, even the familiar crackle of #TheZoneArt transmitter sounds mystical. Followed by the steady blinking of the lamp, grim and tense arts by d.vishnevsky are appearing on the screen.
Autumn is that mysterious time when legends of the Zone come closer to the folks. They intertwine into people's tales and thoughts, glimpsing somewhere around. And more and more often, old stories are heard about «Locomotive», «Endless Tunnel», and a dark figure wandering between trees.

Hello everyone, haven't posted in this sub for a long time, so here it goes one of my latest works. This was a commission i made for an illithid character that a client of mine plays. The idea is that he went to a crashed illithid ship in search of a skull and is now studying it, he is kind of a skull collector. Hope you all enjoy it. If you wanna see more of my work feel free to check out my portfolio and patreon where im developing a fantasy universe. All critique and advise is welcome btw, thank you very much!
Hey guys, because you liked my last one (https://www.reddit.com/r/ImaginaryLandscapes/comments/3f07fp/stick_em_up/).

Love the Eldar, they are not depicted as beings like this enough. Arrogant xenos? Yes, Sentient species struggling for survival? Also yes; and it comes across in this picture: http://www.artstation.com/artwork/iron-hands-space-marines-vs-alaitoc-eldar

To me, this image is both humorous and uneasy at the same time - in others words, very lifelike, ha.

That one is definitely my favorite artwork on his site. The perspective is absolutely perfect. The POV is from the back of the Eldar squad facing towards the space marines, but the artist tilts the scene and lowers the POV closer to the ground.
This is what I imagine: You are recoiling from the dreadnaught appearing - you are in the middle of recovering from a concussive blast. And when you look up - very disorientated and shellshocked, you see death. You see your squadmate try to grab the one in front, but the chaingun from the dreadnaught is sweeping around - you know both of them will be torn to pieces the next time you blink. The rangers are completely exposed - puny and powerless against the imminent war machine. And then, right in the middle is a space marine readying his weapon, pointing right at you, and your squad. It will very likely be the last thing you ever see.
There is so much captured within one still image - and all because of the POV the artist chose.
But look at this scene without the Eldar - it's really cool, but you aren't really drawn into the action like before.
4 weeks after the initial discovery of these ominous stones, The GC (Global Command) passes a law that allows a few select researches to come in contact with what are now known as Monoliths. They targeted the closest Monolith to the shore, chaining it up and pulling with a slew of helicopters, it moved with ease. Once above ground, the Monolith ceased it's hovering and fell to the sand, being relatively close to the ground it did not damage any of the aircraft as it fell.
Over the course of the next few months, numerous tests were conducted to further understand the Monoliths. A very small amount was gleaned from these tests, apart from the fact that it had been hand carved, yet nothing of it's age, ability to hover or from where it came could be understood. No radiation, no known source of power, just stone.

Hello fellow time travellers,
I'm kinda busy the last couple of days on another project so I had no time to do a birthday painting for Chloe until now. I painted this one for three hours with reference as usual. The only problem I think exist is this portrait somehow show a gentle Chloe than our punk rebel girl. But anyway, this is what I got, hope you guys like it. Check out my instagram and artstation too.
Thanks

I have both a facebook and an artstation that I keep updated: Facebook, Artstation
I'm also on Twitter, and I stream my art on Twitch.
Darek Zabrocki's deviantART gallery, ArtStation and website.
Yes, a spider has 8 legs and this mech does not but I'll always side with the artist's own title because what an artist chooses to title their creation is entirely up to them - he could've called it "Purple Rain" for all I care - I just liked the entire composition and very verve of his sure hand.
Hey all! Back at it again with my nonsense, as has been the theme whenever I make these sketches. You should all know the drill by now, but for those of you new to this weird thing I do....

Here's a picture of a thing! Come up with ideas for how you would use it in in your own campaigns and let me know in the comments! I love seeing how other people think and run their stories, and I've seen some really great stuff come out of these. SO! Don't hold back, let your imagination loose, and show me what you got!

IN OTHER NEWS:
My commissions are reopening! Slightly more reservedly though. I've got a job now, so I can't handle the usual 10 slots per month that I usually open. So here's my plan: I'm opening 5 slots. In my experience, these go pretty quick, so if you want one, DM me and let me know. (And yes, this is more of a sketch, if you'd like to see my actual work, feel free to check out my artstation at http://www.artstation.com/dakotacurry). I will accept 5 commissions for this month, first come first serve. HOWEVER if you don't make the cut, I'm instituting a waitlist, so never fear, you will be able to get a painting. The waitlist will simply fill however many slots it needs to for next month, etc. etc.

*gasp gasp* that was a lot of work-related words. BUT! I'm excited to see what you guys come up with, business or otherwise!

~Cheers!
It's nice to see how the artist understands the amount of snow that can pile up on a thin, little branch. It's quite amazing when you see it in person.
I love the colours and emotional contact between these two characters.

She says, "Today's sketch was very vaguely inspired by a moment in a book I am listening to called A Dark Lure [by Loreth Anne White]. Also, I have been thinking a lot lately about whether or not to get a dog."
About this piece, Wievegg says, "Here's another painting that stemmed from an older piece of mine. It's very different from the old image, which pretty much only served as the initial idea for this new illustration; basically having a rowing boat in a rough sea. I feel it's one of my better pieces to date."

This may be just another dragon posted to this sub but holy shit, what a fine creation it is. What a monumental monster - from the suns-shafts through the clouds to the circling birds... this image is timeless in it's I hate to use the words but epic awesomeness. Truly, an epic piece.
I submitted a smaller version of this to /r/ImaginaryTechnology a year ago but because that link was to the now defunct CGHub, I thought I'd submit this wonderful image again, now much bigger. Back then, the artist titled it 'Huge' but today it's called 'Traction City'.

Hello everyone !
Piece above is a commissioned illustration of an RPG game character, Burt!
Burt is a Human Ranger that was destined to protect the Heart of the Forest when he would come of Age. He has the ability to listen to ancient spirits' voices and take upon the wisdom of the Old. The spirits also grant him the ability to shoot extremely fast and with great accuracy. His greatest ambition is to ensure the magical Heart of The Forest Survives every threat in the years of his Life, and he would be ready to sacrifice his life for this cause.
He carries a Bow carved out of the First Tree of the Forest. Legends say it is one of the most powerful ever existed.

Find something in your room/ house to model. Preferably small enough to sit on your desk and fairly simple. A pair of scissors or a screwdriver for example. Model it as best you can and post it here. The good thing about this is you can go back in a years time and do it again to see the improvements.
Alternatively, browse artstation and get some inspiration for a bigger project, or maybe check out some of the challenges here or even here and give one a go.
Just make sure you're having fun doing it! Make a gun that fires farts. I would like to see that.

Hello.
I've read through you Reddit description and the google doc description of your characters. I'd love to help illustrate your characters for you. Let's see the part of nyx I feel I would really be able to bring to life would be her face, I spend a lot of time drawing faces and I like the unique features you described for her face like the freckles and elf ears and the overall lifeless expression she might have and I'd love to try my hands on that. I'm also really good at the female anatomy so I'll have no problem bending proportions to fit her skinny, build. As for Agro, I think is long mane is really cool really adds to his playful nature described. It'll be a hassle to do , but when done well it'd give a good result. If you're interested, let me know so we can talk about poses and prices.
You can take a look at my work in my portfolio here and in a wider art gallery here
For the whole piece project, I could do sketches and send over for your review for you to fix and comment before you decide to actually pay, so I can create the best form of the character that's in your mind. You can reach out to me by pming me here on Reddit or if you have discord you can send a request to Uchihajake#7189
Thank you for your time.
Enjoyed trying a slightly different style than usual.
This is my OC in her warm up uniform! Simple but sleek—my favorite part are her boots!
you can see more of this character on my other socials:
Had fun drawing my OC and working with the lighting.
Also really enjoyed drawing this little alien friend—something about it is so cute yet a bit creepy :')

Hi there!
My name's Jorge, and I'm an animation student with experience in character design and concept art.
Check out my portfolio! I think the artstyle you want is actually very close to things I have done in the past. artstation instagram
I hope you like my work and good luck with your project!
I got on artstation a few months ago, after it was recommended to me. I'm just a humble ink doodlist, but I've made a couple of contacts and jobs without tending much to it... so I'd recommend it.
You can check my portfolio here.
Hello hello. Today I bring you one more, recently finished artwork, fresh off the painting canvas. This one I started some time ago and have been working on the side, day on and day off, just whenever I felt like touching it. Took my time with it and it was totally worth it in my opinion.
This is a painting for World of Evros, a personal project where I'm developing a fantasy universe. If you want to know more and get some cool wallpapers head over to my Patreon and check it out!
Jurupema, Lady of Moths and Beetles
Concept
Ages ago, in a damp misty forest, an artifact was placed. Something that could never be destroyed by the guardians was then hidden to never be found. To protect it and make sure no one places their thoughts in it, out of moths and beetles Jurupema was created and to her the power and control over them was given. Moths would scout, hide and report to her everything that happened within the forest, and if it were a threat then the beetles would take care of it. This was the pact and mission between her and the insects. Today, what she protects is still unknown and if any shall dare to enter the forest, then in return, Jurupema, Lady of Moths and Beetles shall make them meet their end.
Lore
"There she was. She had the whole forest looking for us. If it weren't for Erskinna we for sure would be gone, wouldn't stand a chance. The treant offered as a way across if we promised never to come back. We took it before he could think twice and whished that we never truly returned."
I am also a professional illustrator, with 1 year of work in DnD and other art commissions.
If you want any art commission send me a DM and we can talk about it. Please check my portfolio and if you are interested let me know.
Thank you!

Hello! I am open for commissions at the moment. You can see some of my more recent work on my instagram www.instagram.com/tooonlink and some older/core portfolio works here at www.artstation.com/yumehop
I worked for Nickelodeon for nearly 10 years as one of the cg supervisors.
Base model in Maya, or just do it all in zbrush. Even the cloth. This is a silhouette character and you should be able to model this exaggerated cloth easily.
Generally I bring in the reference image and use that as proportion guides.
Look at other wireframes for characters to mimic edge loop flow.
Model exactly what you see, not what you think you see.
If you ever want a model critique feel free to DM me. If you want lessons, dm for rates.
I'm opening up Commissions!
I'm able to offer 10 slots at the moment. ( 8 left )
£50 - FULL COLOUR
This is my full character illustration package. It includes full line art, full colour and shadow & highlights. I'll also do a simple background and you can have some text if that's what you're after.
£25 - SKETCH
This is my sketch package. The line art is a little looser (which I think looks nicer sometimes), I'll add simple flat colour with no shadow. I can do a simple flat background on these too.
I'm really excited to work on different characters whether its fanart, your own characters or something else!
Turnaround is 2-3 days, Paypal only ( see the picture for more info or drop me a message)
Take a look through my other work on my instagram (www.instagram.com/markmooredraw/)OR artstation (www.artstation.com/markmooredraw).
I'm open to lots of different character work so drop me a message if you are interested in something!
All prices are per character and subject to change depending on the complexity. Discounts for multiple characters/commissions.
