Ok, I hope this makes you smile.
They've been updating the game on steamdb.info unusually fast these last few days, which means they're doing small changes now, the episode is close to be finished, probably.
Here's my headcanon of the story, after reading through the changelogs on SteamDB.
They started crunch-time for EP4 around mid-June.
Things got hectic around July 7. There was no daily build at all for the first time in weeks. They had sticky problems that were solved late at night, and the new build happened on the 8th at 8:30am. Hopefully a good build. They spent the day testing and testing, and it was a good build. Very promising.
Thursday July 9th was the tipping point. In the morning, they submitted the first "final version" of the episode for approval by Microsoft & Sony. Unfortunately, they found new difficult issues during the day and spent the entire day and most of the night on them, clocking at 10:30pm (edit: UTC. So actually 12:30am Paris time, my bad). These issues were the straw that broke the planning's back, and they were still there the next day.
At around 7:00pm (edit: UTC -> 9:00pm Paris time) on Friday 10th, someone with a brain probably said: "Guys, keep calm and rest. Go on long week-end with your families, celebrate Bastille day, come back on Wednesday and finish it. We won't have EP4 out before the Develop Awards ceremony, big deal. We missed our 6-8 weeks guideline, big deal. Take all the time you need, finish the best EP we've ever made, and ship it when it's done."
And so that's what they're doing. And that's what they're saying, too, like it or not. It's hard to understand when the planning is left up to the Devs: they're the worst at communicating these things, but that's also when they truly shine at what they do best.
I'll let you in on a secret about devspeak: "Soon" means "when it's done, stop bugging me about it, I have work to do". Yeah, devs are terrible at handling customers, I agree.
With that said, I believe the episode is complete now, so there's that.
Alright, I'll actually respond.
I'm here and alive! And working on Ouroboros! Here's the honest deal:
I made the decision to write the entirety of this big arc and have it as watertight as possible before posting any more chapters. This is taking a while, but I have been making my way through it.
I've also hit a bit of a slippery patch of anxiety and depression recently, which sort of knocked me out of the game with writing. Doing better now after forcing myself to take an actual break, but that's obviously more wait time added.
As of the other night, my PC might be toast so I also need to figure that out. It's kind of all I have to write Ouro short of using my phone, but I also don't have much uploaded to Google Drive anyway. So we may need to wait a little longer so I can figure out what the damage is and scrape some moolah together.
Anyways, the point is I'm still working on it, speed bumps and all! It's not happening as fast as I'd like, but I'm also trying to get myself to relax about that.
Also, while I do occasionally talk about Ouro on my Twitter (it's mostly just...nonsense) I do talk about it pretty frequently on CuriousCat, so you can check in on that every so often (or just ask yourself if you wanna know something!) That's here!
P.S. plz giv me ur mone
Funny that you mention it, I think I've linked this fic in different threads 5 or 6 times in the last two months because it's so beautiful. It's called Gentle Encouragement by Recourse.
Apparently^^[1] they finally switched to Unreal Engine 4. You can tell by how the system requirements have been cranked up, and how amazing it looks.
That's my opinion too. More precisely I believe Chloe always felt in a very specific way about Max when they were younger but had no idea how to place those feelings back then. With Rachel (and at an appropriate age) she finally got to discover her sexuality more openly. But I will always see Max as her first crush and true love.
I don't know if you've seen it, but there's an adorable fanfic from William's pov dealing with exactly that. Here.
It's definitely a struggle to do that, what helped me and many others was to read fanfiction. The ones I suggest are Better Then it really helped me with that feeling you have after finishing the game because it gave me some much needed closure.
Also for something that is just happy times and for a different kind of closure there's All That Remains those two fanfics really took away my feeling of constant dread throughout the day when thinking of the game
There are multiple Life is Strange games, but personally, I like the original Life is Strange (Season 1, episodes 1 through 5) the best. In fact, it is my all time favorite video game. Horizon Zero Dawn is also one of my favorite games, but these two games are not very similar. There is no combat in Life is Strange. The game's story, however, is incredibly powerful, and although there is no difficulty setting, you may find some of the choices you are faced with extremely difficult to make! Since you like Horizon for the story, I definitely think you will like Life is Strange too.
I believe the first episode is free on ps4, so you can try before you buy.
Drawn as a cover for this fanfic, which I haven't read yet because I literally just heard about it 2 minutes ago :P
Anyone know if it's any good?
I think the problem with playing S1 after BtS is that BtS does not lead nicely into S1; there are still months, years of unaccounted for time that result in some dissonance between what we know from BtS and what we learn in S1. We don't see the two and a half years where (potentially) the romantic relationship becomes more platonic, we don't see why they decided to stay, we don't see why Frank and Chloe got so hostile, we don't see Rachel and Frank, we don't see what happened between Nathan and Chloe, we don't see how Chloe fell apart in those six months after Rachel disappeared and became that angry, careless punk we saw coldly exploiting a drug addict for money.
And it's such a gap I felt compelled to write about it.

There's the pricefield tag there's over a thousand fics in there. Sorting by kudos or length is the way I usually do it when I'm trying to search through the backlog.
Try No grave can hold my body down, Ourroboros and Better Than. Those might be the three best fics out there.
The Hospital Ending by IsraelBlargh I feel is like the bread and butter material for post game read. It's not long, focused, and just gives you better closure. A really good piece.
The photorealism is because I used this photo and lots of photoshopping to make this one. And my own render on top.
Hello fellow time travellers,
I'm kinda busy the last couple of days on another project so I had no time to do a birthday painting for Chloe until now. I painted this one for three hours with reference as usual. The only problem I think exist is this portrait somehow show a gentle Chloe than our punk rebel girl. But anyway, this is what I got, hope you guys like it. Check out my instagram and artstation too.
Thanks
I consider it necessary to mention the Russian-speaking community Dontnod Entertainment https://vk.com/dontnod_entertainment So much thanks to them, thousands of russian players were able to learn about the Life Is Strange maximum amount of information - timely notification of news, high quality translations of all interviews and articles, a lot of materials of the game and, of course, responsive administration. Also out of competition I must mention Tolma4 team https://vk.com/tolma4team , which has devoted countless hours (including night) to translate this great game for us, thanks to them the players could feel characters as intended.
It means that a bad boy can become an honest man. But I have no idea as to how it relates to CS (haven't downloaded it yet).
Edit: After a quick search, I also foud this "Things may turn out better than you think". source
The last change they did was to the "review" development branch though (sauce: https://steamdb.info/app/319630/history/). Dontnod dev confirmed. :P
But seriously that's weird because they didn't seem to have updated anything public recently. One would wish EP4 was like a surprise release haha.
No grave can hold my body down.

Both are pricefield and the focus is more on the story.
I bought this on Amazon. Here's another. "Stand collar" seems to be the magic phrase on Amazon. The collar on Rachel's jacket seems quite large.
>This mobile version also includes:
- Enhanced user interface for full touch screen integration.
- An all-new Photo Mode that allows you to take pictures, modify them with filters and share them easily.
- Share your game progress on social media and compare your story choices with friends.

Current LiS release date: October 6.
Unfortunately people are going to see the word "cut" and immediately rage and stuff at D9 and SquareEnix. The definition of cut content has become so mutilated and distorted to the point where people don't know what actual cut content is.
It is true we'll never know 100% for sure if the content was really a true "cut" (as in everything was in place, like animations, rigging, VO, etc.). But I feel some people are at a point where they almost feel like devs aren't allowed to not cut content, aren't allowed to remove stuff to improve the game, etc. Devs have stated they're afraid to be honest sometimes because of the rage from gaming communities, which is why D9 probably said nothing was cut because if they did say stuff was "cut" (and I mean that in the very loose sense, like they cut to improve the story flow):
https://www.vg247.com/2017/09/26/game-dev-claims-industry-cant-be-candid-because-online-culture-is-too-toxic/ https://kotaku.com/game-designer-says-developers-would-be-more-candid-if-g-1818729507
I do agree that Ep.3 could have been better, but we gotta understand it from their perspective. With the VA strike delaying things and stuff, I think they did a good job considering the circumstances.
Maximum Victory aka Chasefield aka Vicxine
Though I think it's quite a common ship here.
I also really enjoy Kate/Chloe
Lately, after reading Taylor Christensen Holiday Matchmaker Nightmare, I also think Dana/Kate/Taylor is really cute
That's a tricky subject indeed, but very well thought out with good points. Not saying that I disagree with you, but I'll play Devil's advocate and make an opposing argument:
Honestly, Dontnod is throwing so many curve-balls that I wouldn't be surprised.
"Make up" is correct, but most people might associate it with the stuff people put on their faces :)
> to forgive someone and be friendly with them again after an argument or disagreement: > They kissed and made up, as usual.
For those who aren't in the know, his LinkedIn at https://www.linkedin.com/in/christian-divine-6a63b511 lists himself as Writer on Life Is Strange.
From: http://www.redbull.com/en/games/stories/1331743857254/life-is-strange-interview
> "The original story has been written in French by Jean-Luc Cano," says Baghadoust when quizzed about the writing process. "From this, co-game directors Raoul Barbet and Michel Koch's role was to transform the story into a game script with the help of the design team. During the design phase, English progressively replaces French in the design tools and documentation." For some developers, that would be good enough, but Dontnod enlisted the help of LA-based writer Christian Divine to fine-tune the script. > > "On Remember Me, the script has been originally written in French, then translated and revised in English," continues Baghadoust. "We realised afterwards that many things were lost in the translation, and that doing the same for a narrative game such as Life Is Strange would be a huge mistake. We decided to hire an American writer to write all the dialogues and texts in order to reach the quality we were aiming for. We were in the process of reviewing many applications and profiles when had the chance to meet Christian Divine and instantly felt a magic connection; we had found exactly what we, and the game, needed. Choosing him for such an important role on Life Is Strange was one of the key decisions we made for the game.
Appropriate questions would probably range from "What was it like producing an episodic work with the fan base following along like that?" to "WHY DID YOU DO THAT TO ME OH MY GOD HELP I CAN'T SLEEP".
A new poster for the amazing fanfic Defy Fate by UnhallowedDei, be sure to check it out if you haven't already!
> The town still being completely decimated two years later
Three years later, and the town looks way worse than it did in the immediate aftermath. In Life is Strange the buildings we saw were heavily damaged but mostly still standing, and three years later in Life is Strange 2 the town is almost completely gone. I see two possible explanations for this.
Dontnod was going for the aftermath of an EF-6 tornado (which doesn't exist, but that's what Warren called it) in the first place. The EF-3 level damage in LiS was the result of critical research failure and the completely destroyed town we saw in LiS2 was a retcon to bring the damage to the level they originally intended.
Since it was three years later it's possible that the survivors simply left after the storm and the town was never rebuilt, which isn't unheard of. We saw some heavily damaged but still standing buildings in the bae ending, those could have been demolished in the three years since the storm leaving the ghost town we see in LiS2.
> the memorial...
...only tells us that people died, but not how many. The lack of a number or even a list of names suggests to me that Dontnod intended to keep the body count ambiguous even in Life is Strange 2.
> and no alive humans in the ending scene doesn't indicate a reasonably high body count?
No alive humans but only a few dead bodies, at least one of which is covered with a sheet which means someone was alive to cover them.

The Grieving Process is the best Bay fanfic that I have ever read. Excellent writing. Love it so much. It's one of my favourite fanfic. I probably will read it again soon just to immerse myself in that universe of grieving and healing and loving again. Happy to see that you love it too and spreading the love ;)
I also recommend Damaged Goods Series by Recourse. First part of the series, The Little Blue Pill, is pretty similar to The Grieving Process, but sadder.
I used this photo and tried to emulate the same lighting, but I actually did make Max and Chloe a little bit lighter.
Christine Love is a really interesting developer. I think my favourite of hers is still Digital: A Love Story, but dtipbijays and Analogue: A Hate Story are worth playing as well.
Generated by Artbreeder. At /u/Zephyr_F8's suggestion, this one was a pretty straightforward alteration of blue-haired Chloe. I made her slightly younger and a little less depressed with a lighter background.
Max is next.
I got mine when it first came out, heres one on amazon tho. (i think that price is so high because its 3rd party and last copy :T)
Duh. There are more than 500 names listed in the game’s credits so this indeed sounds like speculation right from the first sentence.
(on a personal note, I resent your use of the word “greed” in association with the basic expectation of decent salaries and social security for highly technical jobs that require experience and dedication; slavery was abolished a long time ago)
Here's one of them:
https://archiveofourown.org/works/13928526/chapters/32060187
There was one other one but I can't remember what it was, either 24/7 or No Filter (Those fics are quite similar and I get them mixed together in my head).
> Yes, absolutely! And if you take into consideration the fact that the doe is Rachel and view the storm as her deliberate revenge against Arcadia Bay for what it's done to her and Chloe, you get a considerably more uplifting narrative -- of Max and Rachel, defying time and even death, to look after Chloe.
Yeah, some really interesting and well founded interpretation here. It really makes me think of the fanfic <em>The End of Tomorrow</em>.
> Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would choose a reading of the narrative that asserts 'some people are just doomed to have a shit life and die and there's nothing you can do about it lol!' over this.
Shit, how do I say this without being an asshole?
Hmmmm. Many people have been trained not to dig too deeply into a work. A quick and definitive conclusion can be alluring, even for people passionate about something and inclined to analyse it, since they have been conditioned to treat media as disposable.
"that isn´t fluffy nor uses much of the time travel powers."
Son there are only two types of LiS fanfictions. Time travel thrillers that rely heavily on supernatural powers... and sickening sweet romance fics filled to bursting with fluff because GOD DAMMIT can't the universe just let these characters be happy and cute together without taking it all away and leaving a empty void where my heart was!?!
Okay, too personal.
The best fanfictions I can recommend are both by TomorrowHeart and they're both Pricefield. Ouroboros is definitely on the happy, fluffy side with a lot of romance but after the first few chapters the story starts to focus a lot on the trauma of the game and the characters dealing the the consequences of time travel (there's no power use in the story itself though). Play Crack the Sky has way less fluff and a lot more angst with Chloe and Max stressed out and always on the run to avoid new storms trying to kill them after the Bae ending. It has power use in it but mostly off-screen and it's not the focus of the story. That might be more your speed.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/6148189/chapters/14086666 https://archiveofourown.org/works/11195988/chapters/25001742
If you've read a lot of fanfics already, I'd assume you've already read No Grave Can Hold My Body Down, but if you haven't, you need to. Otherwise, I'd recommend Migratory Animals or I've Got You Tattooed on My Skin. They're both one shots.
Most of the LiS comics she's doing are set in a happy AU where everyone's alive and hella gay.
That said, she does take commissions! And also has a Patreon, which might be an easier place to contact her.
(2) is a very interesting idea, and it would be very interesting to see what effect Max's friends might have on her decision (and each other!), if they were present.
On the one hand, Max/the player might feel less guilty about sacrificing the town if she saw that her friends were safe with her and Chloe on the cliff (particularly if Warren, Kate, Joyce, and/or David are safe)
On the other hand, other classmates begging Max to save their parents might make Max/the player feel more guilty about sacrificing the town (particularly if Joyce and David are not on the cliff and therefore likely being sacrificed), thus pushing more players to sacrifice Chloe
Having both Joyce and one of Max's less-friendly classmates present (e.g. Victoria) might well cause a fight (imagine Joyce's reaction when Victoria advocates for Chloe's death)
Chloe might be less inclined to volunteer to die if there are other people demanding it (Chloe doesn't like being told what to do)
I personally wish Episode 5 had more attempts by Max to either prevent the storm (by going back and minimizing rewind uses) or get more people evacuated (going back to Monday to warn Warren etc) in order to really show the impossibility of saving most of the town. Then, the binary choice would seem less "contrived" and more the result of an honest effort. (I wrote this fanfic example of how I might have done Episode 5, after failing to persuade anyone else to write it: https://archiveofourown.org/works/13305432/chapters/30451749
I was exactly the same. I've read so many now, in so many AUs. Better Then is amazing, Black Swan, All Wounds and Play Crack The Sky also stand out. Seriously I could go on listing. Once you've had your head filled with other peoples stories, you may go down the road i took, and start writing your own.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/12226935/chapters/27776001
You probably have already listed it, but I just finished the story "no grave can hold my body down". It's really good. It's also quite different from most LiS fanfics.
I used this photo and lots of photoshopping. Still SFM.
Okay, let me attempt this motivation business. But first I'm gonna assume u don't have to pay a huge cost for shipping like me here in Canada, (although if do do this point is moot lol) but compared to a lot of the 'limited edition' packages that I've seen out there, $40.00 is a pretty good deal for artbook+licensed music tracks+physical copy of game+director's commentary.
Not to mention I think a lot of us, especially those that bought the season pass or even on sale really got a good deal in purchasing the game. Lets say on average we spent anywhere from $10-20 for all 5 episodes. Now factor in the average gameplay time source is ~15hrs just for main story not including extras or even leisure play with each episode clocking 2-3hrs. Thats $2-4 per episode, thats pretty much approximately the price of beer for each episode (I quote this from an interview with the producer, although I need to find the source again).
TLDR;I guess imho, DONTNOD charged us a fair price for the steam game and honestly could have charged us more. Buying the limited edition would not only show them our support, but give them the incentive and the assets to create something with the same impact as LiS had (or possibly better, in the future).
Okay, lastly if they could still create LiS with the budget issues they had in the ending, imagine what DONTNOD could have done if they didn't have budget issues.
I'm gonna throw out a suggestion for Katawa Shoujo, if anyone's interested in a game which does a very very good job of making you emotionally invested in the characters.
Yes, 'Turf Wars' continues immediately after they go to the spirit world. The first graphic novel volume was just released. You can find it at Amazon here.
I'm just going to grab a couple stories from my long, long list of favourites each time this question is asked. Today my recommendations are two post-Bae stories: Migratory Animals and In A Week We'll Be Together
At least, that's my version of what would've gone wrong. The way LiS works, we expect something to go wrong if Max saves Rachel, something big enough to make Max wish she hadn't. Otherwise it wouldn't be LiS.
You've got some solid recs here, so might as well plug my own fanfic: All the Shapes I Know, slowburn Amberpricefield with fluff and some teen drama thrown in, where nobody dies and no storms wreck cities!
Synopsis from the Dontnod VK fan group (double-translated, can't verify):
And if they were 100% honest (and maybe they want to be but they can't or don't want to for legitimate reasons), it wouldn't make a difference and may make things worse. So easy to be toxic online these days.
https://kotaku.com/game-designer-says-developers-would-be-more-candid-if-g-1818729507
Oh man I feel for you.
If you are into Fanfiction at all and want a happy ending that is executed as a twist on your final choice with lot's of nice fluffy feelings you could go with this: https://archiveofourown.org/works/6148189 It's what helped me over the sadness when I was in your shoes two weeks ago.
One that is laden with new mystery, action, sadness and lots of happiness that has a starting point logically after your final choice would be this: https://archiveofourown.org/works/6164365
It is a very limited item (500 copies IIRC) made for employees and public relations. They were giveaways during streams by/endorsed by Square or giveaways during events. One or two copies each time though.
There are a few (one?) for sale on the Square Enix Members Rewards Program (it is linked to things you bought on the Square Enix Online Store, not sure how it works) or the 'second hand market'. But this last option is expensive.
If you want interactive well-written stories more than graphics, I would suggest you playing visual novels. It's a kind of game with text, background images and music. It is similar to reading a book, but not exactly. Sometimes you can change the story. Visual novels are mostly 2D though.
Here is a list of the best visual novels, if you're interested. They are rated by the community.
Going off on a tangent slightly, but if anyone tries Higurashi and likes it, I'd seriously recommend Umineko by the same team - it's also a visual novel with no choices, but it's a very detailed murder mystery and it does a good job of making you question every little detail, and hammers home the idea that you can't trust what you're being told by showing you seemingly impossible crimes.
According to the page, you should get the mascot bundle.
I'm hoping they get a wiggle on and give us the codes, cos I preordered here too, and I will be an unhappy bunny if I can't get my walking simulator on later today.
Have you read Blue Moon by OpheliaMarina? It's a 3 chapter series, has time jumps, fluff (lots of fluff later on) and some - okay a lot of - angst in the beginning.
Try No grave can hold my body down
Or just go to ao3 and search the pricefield tag and sort by kudos. Avoid any marked E.
Some of the fics marked M have nsfw sections but they aren't the main focus of the fic. Ourroborros is one of these it's long fluffy and heart healing but it has some nsfw sections.
Blue Moon Series by Ophelia Marina.
This is one of my favorite for Pricefield.
My other feel good ones are all Maximum Victory so may not be your cup of tea.
I mean just the thought of the fanfic The Grieving Process makes me want to bundle up in bed and cry. I haven't read it, because "fuck that", but it is a very popular fanfic.
Shameless plug: My X-files crossover, Life is an X-File, was a pretty obvious idea, honestly I was shocked that it hadn't already been done, but I had fun with it and I'm really happy with the outcome. It only really required changing the year to merge the two universes together pretty seamlessly.
I'm a really big fan of this fic by swapcats.
They wander. They survive. They recover. It's not quick, and there's lots of sleepless nights, and Max doesn't pick up her camera again for a while. It's rough, but they make it, and there's Pricefield fluff, which is always nice.
You can only get a set ammount of cards per game.
But, a lot of people have a LOT of games, with a LOT of cards. Even if you don't, there's tons of free games with cards. Add them to your library and you should be good.
What I've been doing is idling in these games until all cards get gotten, then selling them on the market place. It takes a while, but eventually You'll begin buying your prefered cards. You could turn them into gems to, but I find selling a much better solution.
If you really want to, you can use a dedicated idler. But don't launch games when it runs. It does pretty much what you'd manually do, but doesn't actually launch the game. It tricks steam into thinking it did.
It may be a good idea to hold onto this until a rainy day. If you went hard for a week, you could probably get ~$20 in steam credit (Assuming it all sells). However, it's up to you to decide that.
Odd, it gave me an error. 5b7305c209716. When trying to pre-order. I'll try again later.
edit: I was able to preorder via Amazon directly, thankfully.
Life is Strange - Welcome to... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1785659359?ref=yo_pop_ma_swf
This is from the UK Amazon, so it'll be different for anywhere else. I typed life is strange book and it should be one of the top search results

not sure what Portland has to do with this...Oregon does have total eclipse in the 2017 event. just not in Portland, as its too far north. Arcadia bay is a fictional oregon town, we do not know exactly where it is...or if we do, let me know. Salem Oregon and Corvallis Oregon both will experience the total eclipse... http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/usa/salem?iso=20170821 http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/in/usa/corvallis?iso=20170821
Nope, not yet, and sadly they seem to be still developing it daily (as you can see here).
They recently updated every Episode's depot tho, which doesn't really mean anything, but it could as well be them "preparing" for release (which could be either the 29th -we'll see if it's possible next week-, the 6th October -the most likely date-, or the 13th if it's super late)
Well done, exactly! However, the changes to the actual LiS Episode 4 and 5 DLC depots were just to add them to some kind of bundle, because EPs 4 and 5 are already included in a dev branch.
If you're interested, my fanfic expands on exactly the above approach (though it takes Max a few attempts to make Nathan go away - just revealing herself might not work, she has to lock herself in a stall so that Nathan has no way to remove her from the bathroom and therefore has to remove himself).
I bet you don't see the exterior of the SFM map of Max's Room/Girl's Dorm very often in SFM renders. Mainly because the exterior is non existent in workshop maps. In this, the red building outside the window is a part of the exterior. Pssst, that means that this is a custom map! Wowsers.
I just made this to test out how the custom map will look like, and I wanted to see what I could do with lighting and a little bit of a Photoshop edit. I increased saturation to give the render a better colour.
Why Amberfield? I dunno, I rarely see it. u/UnhallowedDei's Defy Fate may or may not have influenced my decision to have Rachel in this instead of Chloe
I really want to read #NoFilter, but it's still not finished, and I can't bear to have one more to be waiting for. I get the ones I actively follow and read on a drip feed mixed up when I jump back and forth sometimes.
I'm still not super familiar with the layout of FF, assuming this is the on you meant, can you tell me if 24/7 is finished yet? I think it's not but I'm not super sure.
I'll definitely check A New Beginning, looks interesting.
I personally really love Book and Candle. It's underrated and seldom brought up in this sub. But this story is by recourse and she is an amazing writer. I personally don't read fantasy genre fics and even I was captivated when I read it.
Highly recommended.
Another one I would recommend is One Good Thing in Seattle by unknown_known. Another great writer, this series is Chasefield but the second part of the story when the girls met Rachel is where it gets interesting. One of my fav fic apart from Better Then and Eternal Return and The Grieving Process.
I'm glad you liked it!
But don't forget that by the time of S1 (therefore this fic), Chloe feels betrayed by Joyce for her relationship with David and how she covers for his abuse of Chloe. Joyce simply isn't there for Chloe, anymore, and I don't think it registers much in her mind. It certainly wouldn't hold her from taking revenge on Nathan, I don't think.
In fact, I don't think she has anything at all, and is totally stripped of everything by Rachel's death. Max was her last light, and her last chance ... all the more sad she can die without ever knowing Max had come back.
My Saving Grace and Beyond your Control were two Marshfield fics I really enjoyed, though they're both one-shots.
One Way Trip is the first part of the trilogy, Near Light is the second one.
As others said it is devastating as fuck. I just watched it on yt once. I will always choose Chloe. As for fanfics
Here is everything you need for the start. My advice to everyone who is sad after the game and wants Max and chloe happy together , Start with Ouroboros
I think the thing about Rachel is that she code-switches a lot. While I don't relate to her anger, as an over-achieving theatre-kid with a pretty reasonably home-life, I understand that really clearly. The way that she presents herself can seem like she's being dishonest, but she's just choosing the face she thinks it's best to present at any given point.
It also feels a little like she's starting to spin a little out of control. I see her as someone who usually knows where she is, and what she's doing, but at the moment we're seeing her in the show, she's improvising - not just on the small scale, like on stage - but in the larger "I'm going to skip school with Chloe who I have met once", and then "I'm going to start a forest fire", etc.
This probably isn't going to make you like her - adult me sees the warning signs, and keep wishing I could warn Chloe to be a little more careful with her feelings - but teenage me would have been completely, head over ass in love with Rachel Amber.
Firstly, welcome to the Post Life is Strange Depression support group!
I find what helped most with the post game depression was actually to read some good fanfics. There are lots of recommendations on the reddit, in various threads. However, I would recommend using save shenanigans to see the other ending (as a lot of really good stories follow on from it)
I know fanfic sometimes has a bad rep, but there is a lot of really good Life is Strange, that focuses on the relationships between characters.
I'd recommend certainly The Grieving Process as it's central characters are Max and Victoria after Max saves the Bay. (Start with Ghosts and end with Spirits- there both really short though)
If you want the same rough idea but darker in places, I'd recommend The Damaged Goods Series which is the four stories in the link. They're not that long all together though. It's a complete story on it's own, but it has a cool almost follow up called "We Shall Be Healed" (it starts where Damaged Goods ends basically) if you really enjoy it.

you have a link you have to put on your browser address bar and normally that will ask to open on steam.
But trust me i play it on jap for 2 minutes i turn back to english because no sense of voice acting
This awesome fic is only 8 chapters, well worth your time reading through and really fits what you're looking for.

I basically felt the exact same way as you did. Except at first I chose to sacrifice Chloe because I really felt like I had no choice. That hurt so much, I cried for a long time after that. Then, after spending some time here, I decided that saving Chloe doesn't make me a monster, and dontod himself said to use your imagination on what happens next so by doing that, I imagined that it can be a perfectly fine ending.
Even after deciding all that, I still felt like crap for at least a week, maybe more. Probably because of two reasons; the first being that the sacrifice Chloe ending doesn't just disappear, you still think about what happens in that reality and how heartbreaking it is for Max to have all these memories with Chloe, but they never even happened. And she will never see Chloe again. I agree that she might not ever be happy again.
The second reason is that I'm just so sad that the game is over. Even if a Season 2 happens, I doubt we'll see Max or Chloe again. And in that way I feel like I lost both of them. I lived that week with them throughout this year as if it were a part of my own life. And now they're gone. That's the hardest part I guess. What really helped me is reading some fanfiction on what happens next, like this one: https://archiveofourown.org/works/5041915?view_adult=true
I feel better now, but this game will always bring back emotions every time I see something LiS related. And I wouldn't want it any other way. Because this game is the best damn game I've ever played.
I don't use Nvidia surround I use a program called DisplayFusion, Its very easy to use and the basic verson is free :)
EDIT: wow, that sounded like a advertisement xD

I've made some pretty basic sheet music for Obstacles on guitar. I'd recommend watching youtube tutorials and building sheet music from there for guitar. Piano is a nightmare though
For Obstacles, give this a go
It all happens within a vk community [kind of like Russian Facebook], so don't be afraid of those links c;
Svartalva is responsible for Chloe's character in our 'Ask' community, and a few people recently asked Chloe to wear a dress and for a crossover with one of the videogame universes, so she had decided to combine these two requests.
Svartalva's vk [The only place where she posts all her work, as far as I'm aware at least]

Amazon also has a listing for issue 2 of Coming Home, giving us a 4th of August release day and what could be cover A of issue 2 (it still could be a placeholder).
So it is clear they want this arc out and done before the release of True Colors in September.
Sure! Here's the: LINK
The ones from Polaroid Originals are 8 pics per cartridge. Amazon link
Cartridges made before Polaroid went bankrupt were indeed 10 pics per “roll”, as the counter saying “10” on my Polaroid shows
For what it's worth it's still listed on Amazon UK (where I've pre-ordered) exactly the same as it was originally:

Unlike the last watchface I posted, this one isn't custom, so no Dudu font. :(
I simply used the Instaweather app from Google Play. I plan on creating a watchface from scratch in Android Studio eventually, but to say my coding is rusty would be an understatement.
Yeah it's interesting to see how popular the game has become! If you look at the stats from Steam, you can see how much the game has grown from Episode 1 to Today! 3k players on Episode 1's release, and over 13k players on Episode 4's release and I can't imagine what Episode 5 will be like! And there's still 500-1000 people playing it every day on Steam :) https://steamdb.info/app/319630/graphs/
They have been doing changes to the Episode 5 depot indeed, if you hover over the newest changes 9 hours ago, you can see they were doing changes to both EP5's depot and the main content depot. I assume a cutting-edge (live built?) build and one integrated into the rest of the game and tested.
What they did about a week ago was merge all the changes into the Episode 5 depot. Hover over the depot number. ;) This could literally be ANYTHING though.
Edit: This merge a week ago happened with all games. Even GTA V. Probably a Steamworks change. https://steamdb.info/app/271590/history/
Basically what I meant was the localization process games go through when they release in different regions simultaneously. The scenario is written in French, and then is translated right then and there into however many languages they're releasing in. It's not like someone sat there and wrote the whole thing in French first, and then threw it out to the wolves.
This article on Nintendo Treehouse probably explains that process better. Obviously DONTNOD wouldn't have the resources Nintendo does, but it'd probably be something to that effect.
Yes, you can preorder it here.

At the risk of repeating myself:
No list is complete without The Road Not Taken and its introduction The talk that never happened. It is stylistically unparalleled and I have read an embarassing amount of fanfics at this point. It is also the only fanfic to date that I have seen that manages to write about a longer period of time (6 months right now) and not fuck up completely in the process, which, for anyone who knows their stuff in creative writing, is master class material.
So while it isn't the best thing written, I did get around to writing that fic. Maybe you'll (and I guess anyone that happens upon this post) will enjoy it.
