Yes, and the numbers for that are even more impressive.
And inside story published by The Guardian tells about development cost of about $100m.
The game was bought for £1.5m by a company called Reloaded Productions.
I think, if someone makes a reasonable offer of a few millions for Dawngate, EA will easily sell it. Why sit on an IP which does not generate revenue, if you can atleast reduce the potentional loss you made during development. From a business standpoint, it is just better to sell an IP if you can. Especially if you want to actively maintain it and go for copyright infringements. Or in some cases EA just does not maintain it anymore, aslong as the products aren't commercial. See Command and Conquer. More and more command and conquer games pop up, like C&C: Renegade X or OpenRA: http://www.openra.net/
I'm strangely okay today. I'm gonna miss Dawngate, but I'll always remember its world and the stories set in it.
Mostly, I think it's because other MOBAs will build from the ashes of Dawngate. They already have, even before the closure was announced. You know how the brush moves when you enter it in League? Well, Dawngate did it first. This game was too revolutionary for other devs not to take notice and make use of the best parts of it.
I too, will use the words of the game as a goodbye of sorts: TO THE FUTURE!
I found it! It wasnt in the shaper VO files, it was in a completely different part of the files but (WARNING: LOUD)Here you go all three of volucs shaper select audio files :D
Don't usually post here but since main forums down, guess I'll be here for a bit ^ ^. If you like my work come check out my shaper ideas/fanart thread in the future where I'll post all my dawngate stuff
Some of them are in my portfolio as well!
I was curious too, so I looked around and found some math in old forum and subreddit posts. So I made a graph to help myself visualize it and calculate values. The solid lines represent the final cooldown of a hypothetical 100-second ability with x Haste (if "C" is the cooldown and "R" is the ratio, the formula is y = C * 100/(100+Rx)), while the dotted lines are the percent reduction in cooldown you get from x Haste.
Don't forget that EA did release the most critically acclaimed games of last year.. While certain things they do (like the Sim City fiasco) are a flop, you have to hope they learn from their mistakes and their successes.
I also find it a general misconception that most gamers have that a publisher somehow defines a studio. Publishers like EA, Activision, Ubisoft, etc, have dozens of studios that work independently of each other and have wildly different teams. The publishers might help to define policy and business decisions, but a game's quality will pass or fail depending on the development team.
So far the Waystone team has done an incredible job, and being under the EA umbrella seems to only help. Leveraging the Origin account system cuts out a huge pillar of the online game development process, and the servers so far have been really stable and lag free. I'm optimistic!

It's just a playlist of epic stuff. I used to do Dawngate videos, and stream Dawngate. My group's love for Dawngate still burns, we get really sad and nostalgic when we bring it up. https://www.twitch.tv/daedalusvandella
I was actually looking into this the other day. I think you just need to have a lot of bandwidth as streaming at HD takes up ~11 GB/hour, at least for me. Which is the exact reason I can't do it lol. But anyways, in the tests I did, the lightest weight and easiest streaming program was OBS. For a tutorial on how to set it up to work with twitch, look at this. I'm not exactly who you were looking for advice from, but hopefully this helps a bit.
edit: the twitch link also explains some basic system and internet requirements
Yes unfortunately is still relatively a new game and a lot of our members aren't very experienced (myself included) we do try. Over time gameplay will improve with more games under our belts. We don't pick up members based on skill we are a community of members of all calibers of play. Our goal is to provide a safe, friendly, and fun environment for all gamers to enjoy.
Unfortunately we do have some members that don't understand how we work. They don't tend to stay long within our ranks as members. We thank the community for responding to this so positively and we thank anyone that has sent in any information they could provide. The Art of Warfare stands strong on what we believe and will make sure that our members represent us the way we should be. Hope to see you guys on the battlefield! :)
getting matched with trolls and ragers even when I'm at the upper Silver Tier (1203) now, I'm sad to see when more people joins, the community worsen, bit by bit TT ^ TT

I'm a bit confused, you can't put it on your Origin?
Also, G2A is a good website to go sell it if the worst case comes to it. You may lose a few dollars/euros/pound but at least it's better than going to waste.
That's odd. If you really did bluescreen it should have appeared there. Though I have seen situations where it doesn't. Nevertheless, there is hope, use Bluescreen Viewer. I have it on my own computer as it's much nicer than looking through a text log.
My first Tetra Kill. It was with Zalgus' Q>Ult on a Parasite fight. One guy in my team said "God damn, Zalgus".
The first time Tess spit her line at me.
Missing Vanquish on a Parasite last night while playing a game with the devs. I'm not worthy of this game anymore.
There's no actual cap, but there are diminishing returns. You can buy an infinite amount of Haste and you'll keep gaining CDR, but the CDR per point of Haste will eventually become infinitesimal.
This is a graph of the relationship between Haste (X-axis) and CDR (Y-axis) for different ratios.
For the Future, in case someone else is looking, I made a spreadsheet (airtable) of everything: Airtable Link
The Art of Warfare is a multi-gaming community that covers over 40 other games including Dawngate. We have over 2500 active members worldwide. We have been around since 2001 and have been doing very well since then. We are extremely well-structured.
