The Investors' debut album, "Over Budget", remains a classic to this day. Perhaps its distinct, at times louder and more upbeat sound that contrasts with their newer albums' toned down, more melancholic one plays a role to this. Perhaps it was the time it was released. It is still a joy to listen to, nevertheless.

>Burger: i try hands first and if everything squishes out I use fork and knife
Dated a European, went to the burger joint, knows what the score is, here.
Many Europeans, when with a burger without utensils, will try to touch the burger as little as possible. What they end up doing is try to hold the burger in just their fingertips.
Burger buns are soft. They will give under pressure, and when you're supporting the weight of the burger on just your fingertips, your fingers end up piercing the bun, releasing the condiments all over your hands and turning the burger into a giant mess.
To prevent this, you have to touch the burger more directly. Instead of holding the burger with your fingertips, hold it with the length of your fingers in contact with the bun. This increases the surface area of the contact point, allowing the bun to remain intact. There's plenty of stock photos demonstrating this.
That's how you prevent everything squishing out.
The photo is a stock photo, available at pexels: https://www.pexels.com/photo/confident-asian-woman-against-green-background-4906334/
The resolution and aspect ratio of the original file make me think it may not have been cropped. I also think that's a photo backdrop we're seeing there, so a studio setting. That should help you guess. I think the folks guessing between 50 and 85mm are in the ballpark.
Unfortunately the EXIF data was stripped.
However, the photographer is Maria Orlova and she also has a personal website, and pexels gives you the ability to contact her and ask, if you want.
I'm impressed by her photography. It's very tasteful.
Here's a small character sheet for Terry, including front, back, curious, and surprised versions.

Didn't want to use an old photo of James so screepcapped his BTS video (thus quality is worse than the photo), flipped it, draw a mask around his face, adjusted curves to better match the photo.
Because in his video he is not lit from the side and the model is (you can see it on the clothes), I duplicated the face layer, reduced it to the part of the face that would be lit from the side and adjusted curves for that layer.
Maybe someone will find it interesting. Oh, and I did it in Gimp.
In this picture I am riding the newest Völkl Confession, if anybody is interested.
This photo was taken by a friend of mine in April, using a Panasonic DMC - G3.
To edit it I used Photoshop and this picture.

Besides the aspect ratio thing, I struggled with the texture on the water. I don't like leaning too hard on the fill gradient tool because it feels like cheating, but picking the colors one by one is super hard. Also, I completely whiffed on the values in the water at the bottom, which is much darker in the photo.

I've done a lot of sunsets and oceans lately, so I specifically chose a picture with neither of those things. I obviously struggled with the tiles above the door, which was mainly a time issue. Likewise for the somewhat melty mailbox and the stuff on the ground.

My other recommendation is creating some of your own film. Especially something simple like nature shots are very achievable with either a camera and a few hours of learning Da Vinci Resolve, or using free stock video from a site like Pexels

Hello Everyone,
Here is my Third card of 'CryptoTerms' series- 'Crypto Bear' ID 242517683
What is a bear market?
Bear markets are defined as a period of time where supply is greater than demand, confidence is low, and prices are falling. Pessimistic investors who believe prices will continue to fall are, therefore, referred to as “bears.”
Giveaway Rule- Upvote and comment down below. Giveaway winner will be selected from comment section on random basis.

Pay attention to your set dressing. It's surprising how big a difference you can achieve by just adding something to the walls and shelves. Thrift shops and garage sales are your friend, or borrow from yourself/family. It can be as little as buying frames and printing stock images that match your theme/feel on a cheap printer (I like https://www.pexels.com/). None of it has to look good close up, but nothing looks more amateur to me then blank walls in a film, unless that is the specific aesthetic you are going for with the set.

Mixed Yes and No.
The person ( u/Birdie725 ) asking to paint their work was right to ask. Using aspects of photo a painting is not copyright infringement, however reproducing a photograph, especially one that OP has posted presently and in the past, has an established style of photography. If a user on Instagram took that same resolution photo and posted it as their own it would violate copyright law.
So.
Although they may be new to painting, it was wise to ask permission, especially if they post that finished piece into say r/BobRoss, or r/Art. They also save themselves a world of trouble later on from people that might frown upon it's use without Photographer approval or consent.
https://thelawtog.com/someone-makes-illustration-painting-based-photograph/
That being said there are resources out there that u/Birdie725 can use FO FREE, due to people placing them in that web domain. Below is such a site.

Don't give them free reign on the cite because of some questionableimages, but https://www.pexels.com has royalty free images that you aren't obligated to cite/reference in works. (I mean it's nice to, but from what I can gather it means you won't get sued for using them). This works well if you vet the images yourself and give student access to ones that you approve.
So, I found Clementine's TFS model on the SFM Workshop (thanks to Bengie). Realizing that none of the other models had been upload, I realized I was going to have to get creative. And, then I thought: Why not have her go against the biggest of bads: Thanos (credit to Ageha-Workshop, Sundown, BlueFlyTrap, Dilly, and Gildor).
Right now, Clementine's model is really difficult to pose and place properly because the bones haven't been properly named and made more effecient (hence why you can only see her face and some of her arms). And, I will admit, 3D animation or posing is an area I'm still improving on and Clementine was quite a challenge.
I found this nice little GreenScreen stage (credit to Ninja Cookie). I decided I'd practice my PAINT.NET skills with a free-to-use background (credit to Pixabay. Here's the link.).
This image is far from perfect and is a far-step back from some of the other amazing artwork present on this sub, but I hope y'all enjoy this, regardless. If you're interested, I can post the green-screen of Clem and Thanos for your creative shenanigans. ;)
> Actually, yes: https://www.pexels.com/search/red%20sky/
see? That was your answer.
It's a yes or no question. You chose to answer yes.
You didn't say, I refuse to answer your question. You said yes.
The experiment wasn't about whether the sky is actually red or not, it was about how you answer a yes or no question.
When I ask a yes or no question, and you say yes, you directly responded to my yes or no question.
It's as simple as that.
The result would be the same had you said no.

You can use royalty free images that suggest the character's mentioned in your stories. A cropped picture of a robed gentleman for example could imply a Snape-like character, or a close up shot of a wand and a book might suggest a Potter-like setting.
Even using a similar font style to the main series can help your adience to read between the lines so to speak.
Nachteil: Man findet dort nicht immer was man braucht.
Had this image saved forever. Glad I finally got around to it. I struggled with the textures in the clouds and particularly in the sand.

He got in trouble with the local authorities after spreading Christianity. But Saint Elmo was a though one:
"These actions angered the emperor angered the emperor, who had Erasmus enclosed in a barrel full of protruding spikes and rolled down a hill. An angel healed him from these wounds.
When he was recaptured, he was brought before the emperor and beaten and whipped, then coated with pitch and set alight (as Christians had been in Nero's games), and still he survived. Thrown into prison with the intention of letting him die of starvation, Erasmus managed to escape.
He was recaptured and tortured in the Roman province of Illyricum, after boldly preaching and converting numerous pagans to Christianity. Finally, according to this version of his death, his abdomen was slit open and his intestines wound around a windlass.

Also, first time using Widgy or any widgets at all. Did not know all the apps were paid :)
There's tons of complicating factors, artists have their own commission structures, etc. Jackie's estimate I think is a good baseline. Barebones minimum I think you could conceivably get away with is like $150 towards a new artist hitting the lower bounds of what most people would think of as "a cover", but even that's a bit iffy/"You should probably be paying them a little more".
Personally I'm a big proponent of A) Learning new skills, and B) Using existing art assets. Not saying you need to learn to draw, but if you can't afford to pay fairly, you can use the photo mode in Affinity Publisher to edit CC0 or stock photos (like the nice ones from a subscription) into something decent. The Ironsworn book lives & dies by Shawn Tomkin's ability to process stock photos into a coherent art style, and it definitely didn't stop the game from winning awards & making an impact in the space.
I used a picture of a cauldron that was free and requires no attribution, hopefully that kind of thing would fly for Coco's shitpost review. Not that this would be worth that, but I'd rather try to make them safe for the format if I can.
I'm very new to image manipulation, so I used an old memetic premise for figuring out layering and removing solid backgrounds, which had to be done for the shark, tako, chicken, and the all-important gyoza.

Well, to get the aesthetic of the first image, you just need to:
From looking at the image, I'd guess that the original artist found an image of maybe old leather or Naugahyde, tweaked the contrast a bit and then painted over it with a brush and then set the blend mode to "Dissolve" to get that pixelated effect wherever the paint feathers off. I'm just speculating though, and I'm sure there are numerous ways to get that effect. For example, you could get a similar effect with a vector mask on a spray paint brush layer.
As for the aesthetic of the second image, you'll probably want to do something like:
I'm sure someone more skilled with Photoshop than myself knows a better way of doing that, but this might get you what you want. Hope this helps!
I use this royalty free image site for still-life and portraits and this gesture sight for full models. I like to go out to the park or the airport sometimes and draw the things I find compelling. You could also try a drawing challenge where someone sets out a different topic for each day of the month (like inktober).
Think about what you find interesting or what you're really familiar with. Drawing is a really cool way to see new detail in old things.

To make something like this, you have to install G'MIC, and edit the .gmic file to add a experimental version of Cascading Self-Glitching filter found on the glitch art filters thread located in discuss.pixls.us forum, and the setting on the filter are:
Channels - CMYK Alpha Glitch - False Zeroth shift - [50%,50%] Boundary - Zero Iteration : 1 Power : .8 Bias : -23.46 Negate - False Operator - Round First Shift Target - [47.21%,62.82%] Cascade centre point - [46.31%,39.72%] Shift randomness - 0 Boundary - Periodic
Apply that on the bridge image, and you should have the image.

Basically, I was trying to add interpolate blending mode into Krita using the equation found in Pegtop-Delphi, but the behavior of 8-bit integer color space doesn't really normalize values from 0-1. Thus, you see different waves due to the cos functions. This is the result.

I've also noticed doing a search on Google for "Royalty Free Free Images" - notice the extra free, and the returns were decent ish. Pexels was how I found that. Might be new ones popping up from time to time.
Hi Alando, I see what you're trying to create here. I think you'll benefit from putting some images and resizing text etc. items. You can find beautiful and legally usable photos from https://www.pexels.com/. Also, your portfolio images are your crowning achievements, so make sure those circles are MUCH bigger than contact buttons/circles at the bottom. In your portfolio page, you want to highlight your work, not just how to contact you. Beyond those two small suggestions, I think rest of it is a good start! I like the color scheme. Blue, gray, and white make a good combo. Well done on a good start. Good luck with rest of the FCC journey!
Definitely not my best work, but I think I at least got it in the ballpark. I really think Heavypaint works a lot better on a big desktop monitor than on an iPad or Android tablet.
Really struggled with perspective here. Had to go back and paint over multiple parts to get things to mostly line up.

This users sells fake art, and harasses users who call him out on that.

Feeling to draw using the mixed media method where I made a sketch traditionally then finished it in digital yea. ☺ To make it fun ~~and not feel like I'm doing art homework~~ I choose one darkly-inclined character as a subject (sometimes I'm referring them as darkling cuz it sounds adorable XD) so I choose Gwen from Total Drama.

I see some pretty good snake photos for free here:

I don't think you can viably sell for any amount when you're competing against $0.
