I got it off of Amazon! It's super thin, but I live in Satan's butthole AKA Austin, so it's hot 97% of the time and this little quilt is perfect.
I used these light strips which have adhesive and stick under my bed and behind my desk :) Also IKEA is great for this type of look! I hope you have access to one somewhere close to you.
Hallstadt is my hood!
My mom turned my old room into an airbnb for people who want to visit the region ... it's doing really well and I'm happy for her, but also, a lot of people have now slept in my bed ;)
Hallstadt is beautiful though
Kirkland hiking socks from Costco. They're really cheap compared to similar style socks, and you can even buy them on Amazon
Actually I guessed and found it! It is here!
I searched for floral moon phase tapestry.
Bruh, just get one of these
I used get something similar when I saw tall grass in the sun, kind of like this (link to shutterstock), or this. It wasn't sadness, more maybe like longing. I only remember I used to get this feeling, I only have a faint memory but it is coming back. It was never super negative. Can you tell me if you get the same feeling? I'm sorry if it makes you feel sad. I just want to remember.
Thank you, it was all centered around the chair in the corner (hard to see) that was given to me by my uncle. It’s an exact copy of the chair we used to have in my grandma’s house. And the duvet cover is from amazon! Wake In Cloud - Washed Cotton... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FN7LNSW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I moved to California from New England and no one really understands when I try to explain it. Trying to add in the squeak-crunch noise your boots make, the way the air smells before/during snow especially when it's those BIIIIG fluffy chunks floating down, the way the air hurts your face just right... makes it all the more inexplicable.
If I put this on and close my eyes, I can almost be back there... but you simply can't reproduce the 'sound' of snow falling.
Prepare to have your mind blown:
I have a bunch of plants on a shelf and I like to water them with a wash bottle, like the kind they use in science labs. Something like this. It gives a lot of control over where the water goes and keeps the plants leaves dry.
> People really like screwing you if the word "wedding" is involved.
Nah, it's just that "weddings" are a lot more involved and complicated than a "party". Here is an article where they interviews florist, dj, and event coordinators about the "upcharge" for weddings:
I have the Japan poster. I believe I bought it like 6 years ago from a Michaels craft store on sale. It’s on amazon
That kinda heater is popular on boats and tiny homes. It'll burn fuel, likely propane, though you might find the odd one that burns coal/wood/some other gas. It's really just fire + a blower to circulate heat. Something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Dickinson-Newport-Propane-Direct-Heater/dp/B00TZ6U1LI
Never understood the "I can't be that far from the ocean" sentiment. Been a few times, mostly just felt like hanging out in a really big children's sandbox crammed with way too many people.
What you need is some tubes, a cooler full of beer, a nice river, and some good friends.
These are the lights I used
The wire is really thin, so I was able to use these command strips with a clear backing every few feet.
I bought this bamboo rack thing off Amazon and put it against the wall in front of my bed. It gives my room a kind of boho look.
It's this one from Amazon. It's pretty good quality for the price, but I wouldn't recommend this if you're tall, since your knees would hit the metal parts connecting the legs.
You're right, I was being a smartass.
Well, maybe you already have a tent. If not, maybe you can find an ugly one on Craigslist or a garage sale or something. I think an 8' by 8' would be good because I think they sell pvc in 8' lengths, but it's easy to cut so whatever.
Build a square base out of the pvc using these elbows:
Bend the tent poles into the top of the elbows and tie the poles together at the top where they criss cross and make an X. I think that would be strong enough to make a dome like blanket fort.
Looks great! Pretty sure I have the same sofa set, use this cover to keep dust and water off when we are not using it.
I found https://www.theflightdeal.com to be the best when looking for flight deals to Europe and Asia. I also use google's ITA software matrix to plug in the dates found on flightdeal in order to find better deals: https://matrix.itasoftware.com
Hope someone finds these useful!
There's a really good run down on wikiTravel's Japan page of the different inn types. Just do a ctrl-f for "Inn" and you'll see the different types described really well.
Also, if your trip happens to end up during one of the three lucky windows of the year, you should check out the Seishun 18 Ticket (Seishun Juuhachi Kippu). It's a really good train pass deal if you only need non-express trains.
I came to ask about that as well. How do you like it? I’m trying to decide between a pulley-style one like this or a simpler wall-mount.
For the comment I replied to: they do sell pulley-mount systems like this (for example: https://smile.amazon.com/Wallmaster-Ceiling-Hanger-Storage-Garage/dp/B07VWWVMQQ/)
Some people are more attractive to biting insects, I know.
This one works great for me:
Don't skimp with the lotion and put it on everywhere.
You maybe already considered one of these, but in case not, it made hiding ours pretty easy. Took less than 30 min, drilled two holes, fed the line down, taped it to an HDMI and pulled back through. Can get wall plates and plugs etc, but I figured why bother if they're sufficiently hidden.
I'd also like to know the name.
I found this on Amazon, $105, but it's not the same one

If you're looking for an affordable buy-in product that'll make a great cup of coffee, I highly recommend the aeropress. It makes great cup, it's relatively affordable, and it's compact.
Hey pops, great job! If I might make one suggestion :) something simple and cute for the walls. Got these for my girls and it absolutely made them giddy and was super cheap.

More photos from our trip
And here is a link to the AirBnB where we booked our night's stay here.
My group and I went camping in the mountains for 4 days (3 nights) and this was our spot to stay in to recover after a very vigorous hike. We were VERY pleased with how cozy and relaxing this place was!
If, I follow the 1st link that OP provides and I choose to book the 1st available, this is where I get my #.
Certainly! Looks like they’ve changed the cushioning since then, but here is a link to the one we have: Cat Window Perch, Cat Hammock Window Seat, Space Saving Window Mounted Cat Bed for Large Cats Premium Set
> I live in Kentucky and it’s usually like 60 now
That's interesting, because the average high for Louisville, KY on 30 September is around 75 degrees. You must be deep in the mountains.
I have a cat and got a great slipcover that I found on Amazon that refreshed my chair and the bonus is he doesn't seem to like the feel of the material when he tried it out but even if he did and continued doing his thing it was only around $27. My current chair is so comfy and in great condition aside from some scratchy love from my boy, haha. This is the one I got but if you search Hyha chair cover on Amazon other patterns come up. It's washable and is holding up great.
For anyone interested in the rug or the carpet here's the link to both :)

I always just searched Amazon for canvas teepee tent. Last time I checked they were $400-$800.
Canvas teepee yurt tent
They've gone up a bit.
This is not the same brand, but the stock photos and pattern is identical, so i guess they all come from the same chinese warehouse 😂.
Mentioned it elsewhere, but it's called a Gear-Up Floor to Ceiling rack. Available on Amazon for about $125.
Blanket is this down comforter from Amazon.
That door leads to a small closet so I don't need to open it all the way, the door to downstairs is behind me.
Yes! Of course.
On the bed are these purple ombré LED curtain lights. They’re battery operated, and I strung them up on the headboard in loops, so the purple is toward the top and it fades down to a soft white below. I keep the battery box tucked into my bedside table.
This is the website for the galaxy projector. It’s a little pricey but it has Bluetooth capacity, a couple different light modes and color options, and it’s so magical!
Spent a week here and couldn't give it enough praise. The town is Quepos, near Manuel Antonio. Both real cool towns with a lot of character and plenty to see. The treehouse is a five minute drive to the beach and also to down town Quepos but distanced enough that all you hear at nights are the sounds of the jungle, and some of the coolest most powerful thunderstorms you'll ever hear.
Sadly it's no use asking OP, he just grabbed a stock photo. Use 10TINEYE for 10% discount if you still want the photo tho.
Here's the umbrella stand and here's the umbrella!
Pretty sure this is the exact hook.
I’m tryna figure out your cable management. Maybe run this classy bitch from the outlet and have it next to your desk and everything plugs into here?
Everything else is super pleasing. Looks badass
Mirrors are from IKEA. For the bed underglow i used this led strip from Amazon, but you can choose any type really, as long as it is warm white.
I don't know if there is a name for this style - perhaps oriental? I just searched for navy rugs on Amazon. This is the exact carpet I have. Hope that helps!
nope, some cheap strip I found on Amazon.
Thank you so much. The prints are from amazon. They are actually all psychoactive drug plants. Sorry mom.
As an aside, deep squatting while shitting is apparently quite healthy. In fact the SquattyPotty is quite the best seller on Amazon.
The general logic behind squatting to defecate is that the squatting position causes the anorectal angle to straighten, meaning that your body then requires less effort for evacuation and is also aided by gravity.
But I don't think squatting is easy for people who have not done it all their lives.
There are some pretty cheap manual mechanisms that operate based on temperature to open and close greenhouse windows! Something like this might be perfect

But there’s tons of other kinds also and I find myself spending hours and still not coming to a decision. Good luck.
Amazon still sells house kits like this one that you could easily pay off in 5 years.
The thing is, usually it's not the house that's the expensive part, it's the land. If you go out to the middle of bumfuck nowhere you can find a house you'd be able to pay off in 5 years as well like this one.
Both the Amazon home and the Sears home also lack electricity/water/gas installation too which is another pretty huge cost of putting a home together.

Let me know if this works
Yes, one table one floor! I just got them from Amazon unfortunately (I try to buy local when I can). The table lamp is dimmable, and the floor has a foot switch which I like. :)
Just grab some squeeze bottles, like from high school chem lab. No more spills, ever.
Not sure if I’m allowed to post the links (mods lmk if I should remove) but I found them from Amazon:
Not the OP but we have similar tastes because I just bought this set from Amazon and love it. Just wish I had OP's bedroom view as well.
It's also a queen mattress! More comfortable than our old Ikea futon.
Thank you! Most of the baskets are from Home Goods. The tiered hanging planter is Amazon:

This particular blanket is vintage, but I know you can buy similar ones!
Most people call them serapes, Saltillos, or just “Mexican blankets.” I’ve seen them in western stores, beach/surf shops, and truck stops. I’d try Amazon first though.
Maybe something like this? blanket link
Here’s the link from my og order a couple years ago, not sure if it’s still available from that link but I’m sure you can google your way to one 😊

Yes! It’s a nice quality cotton that feels almost like linen. The insert is super fluffy, which helps. Here is the duvet I have in case you’re curious :)

Too impatient to wait for OP to post inside pics... so I looked up the airbnb listing
If anyone is curious why the title reads slightly unnaturally, it is because the order of adjectives does not conform to the "rule" / our expectations.
We naturally expect adjectives / adverbs to follow this order: opinion, size, physical quality, shape, age, color, origin, material, type, purpose.
So in this case the title is opinion (cozy) , size, physical quality, shape, age, color, origin (Norwegian) , material, type (island), purpose.
Therefore, this title sounds most natural written as
>This cozy Norwegian island cabin
Just something I find interesting because it's one of those things that you are often aware of even before you actually know the rule itself.
Thank you! We also love history. Our house particular was built by Samuel Alward, who was a private in the Revolutionary War.
Our area, known as Washington Valley, is littered with historical houses and other historical sites. Washington Valley particularly sits on the edge of Jockey Hollow, which was the main winter encampment for the Continental army.
This picture is found several places on the web, but most sources seem to reference Colorado Yurt Company. The pic is on page 10 of their brochure.

thanks :) the wooden thing behind the couch is actually a trellis that I got from a local nursery (though most lowes/home depots/etc. sell them too). Usually they're used outdoors for vining plants. I used these hanging pots to hang the plants from the trellis: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08JTC3SLW/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Please for the sake of all that is holy free those speakers from their prison.
I think you'll get better sound if you put them on top of the cabinet. Even better if you can put something between them and the cabinet to help sonically isolate them.
Like these things: https://www.amazon.com/Platinum-Silicone-Hemisphere-Non-Skid-Isolation/dp/B075KKX3QQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_12?dchild=1&keywords=isolate+speakers&qid=1627164979&sr=8-12

You have great taste!
If I may make a suggestion- I would buy something like this for the plug behind/above your couch.
so the one closest in frame came with the couch (so did the blue one behind the orange and yellow ones)
but the orange-ish one and yellow circle pillow are from amazon. i’ll see if i could find the links!
Amazon lol, but i'm sure you could find it elsewhere if you wanted to. Just don't know where that would be
Here are the lights we bought. They are pretty great but just need to be recharged once a week or so depending on how much you use them.
Honestly any approach works! You can get frosted bulbs which are helpful, or bounce the bulb off of a white wall, but even better is like you said, lining the inside with white diffusion paper (has to be special for lights so not to be a fire hazard, maybe these https://www.amazon.com/Diffusion-15-7x19-6inches-Lighting-Diffuser-Photography/dp/B08PTCGTX9/ref=pb_allspark_dp_session_sims_pao_mobile_2/144-9009654-5350732?pd_rd_w=1C2z6&pf_rd_p=071b3757-7223-4a21-9ed8-7078b2296a2f&pf_rd_r=0WQV291B5QFZW0...
You cut a piece and a place inside, not necessarily touching the bulb but with an inch or two between paper and bulb, and wallah,
This is part of the reason chinaballs/paper lanterns are so calming, the paper dissipates the light rays all around instead of shooting the rays directly into your eyeballs.
Thanks! It's a dimmable lamp from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/Kohree-Industrial-Bedside-Dimmable-Vintage/dp/B07PYFLC3D/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=dimmable+lamp&qid=1622828046&sr=8-6. The light bulb is sold separately. You can find all sorts of Edison light bulbs with cool filament designs and light temperatures
Bean bag was from Amazon -> https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08Q4D2FW3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_image?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Blanket was from Wayfair (don't have a link)
Got the lights from Amazon. A 30 foot string was $23
I had the same issue! I got them off of Amazon—I’ll attach a link. They’re a little pricey, but they had amazing reviews and they’re high quality/will last a long time.
Had to buy hardwear for the chair separate. Just find a hanging chair chain set
I bought these in a supermarket some time ago. Amazon also sells them. I leave the link here.
I bought it in a supermarket in my country, but Amazon also sells them. Here's a link or you can search for it as 'Neon cat light' too.
These are the lights!
The lamp! I have it on a cinderblock to hold it up higher but it also seems to help stabilize it.
yeah its from amazon!!
i got the largest one :)
Gotcha covered! Just a regular 'ol Amazon purchase!
Looks like it’s Zinus. You can get them in different heights from Amazon. Search for Zinus low profile platform bed.
If you like using a blanket you will love this:
It has a rubberized waterproof bottom, is lightweight and unfolds nicely. It fits our tent so that the edges fold up a few inches creating a bathtub floor. We pair it with our low profile cots and have stayed dry and warm through inches of rain in late fall where typically the floor starts to fail due to capillary ingress.
Thanks - the couch we found on Amazon. It's got a cool look for a small piece. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B074ZL72WV/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I found them on amazon a while back. Here's the link for them: https://www.amazon.com/Round-Plush-Cushion-Shaped-Pillow/dp/B018A2LIK0/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1516210830&sr=8-3&keywords=tree+pillows
I got them off Amazon from a seller named Mkono and highly recommend them if you like the look. Durable, attractive, and easy to install with all hardware included - will only fit the smallest of plants, though.
Here you go, it's this one
Thank you, and sheet are from Amazon

Hey thanks, hammock’s from Amazon, it’s narrow but ok for me and was very cheap (£11), think I’ll replace it for a deeper one now I know they fit!
[AIMEZO 71" W Electric Height Adjustable Desk Base
Then a simple tabletop from I think Lowes. Just like a fake wood one, but super sturdy.
I'd definitely recommend the base. It's really well built and has adjustable presets for different heights.
