When I saw the title, I thought that the self post was going to be a question of "who was the baby?" Since the baby's at least 12 or so by now, I wonder who it could be. Someone close to Brock?
My first ever turntable was an Audio-Technica automatic turntable. It looks like they're going for $100 on Amazon which is about what I paid when I got mine back in 2006. They're nice because it handles raising/dropping the needle automatically, and the sound is decent. It has a built-in amp, so there's no need to go buy a separate unit for that. All you have to do is plug it in to your stereo through RCA jacks and you're set.
They also make models with Bluetooth output, but it adds a significant amount to the price, and A2DP is not exactly a high quality audio protocol.
The Plan. The opener to their most immediate album (Keep It Like A Secret). If you want to get into BtS, you should start here. It's also directly MM inspired.
Oh, I thought you were talking about the CD. This reissue has all different songs though (well, different versions anyway). I hope that eases the pain!

I dont know about a book but there is that one website that breaks down and ranks almost every modest mouse song.

Haha just kidding.
I really can't see myself doing this (unless my heart was dripping pitch and made of wood). Been a fan for ten years, and I'd read a great write-up on their top 96 songs which I'll link below. Even top 50 is a challenge before their most recent album. The only way I'll do it is with a heavy heart and not including Strangers to Ourselves because, like fine wine, it hasn't aged enough and I haven't had enough time to appreciate it. The 10 songs should not just be my favorites but also showcase their diversity in sound. And I'm gonna add 1 more to make it 11 because anyone who asks this question deserves much worse. Without further Ado and in no particular order:
Spitting Venom Stars are Projectors Teeth Like God's Shoeshine Night on the Sun Little Motel Cowboy Dan Make everyone happy/mechanical birds 3rd Planet Ocean Breathes Salty Talkin' shit about a pretty Sunset Trailer Trash
Highly recommemded write-up from a true fan:

Amazon has some -- these are pretty good, and I'm using these right now. If you want something locally, I know Guitar Center has some. Other guitar shops probably will also.
Let's have an after party at the Hub! It's extremely close and an awesome dive bar.
I'll be there all day shooting the event. Look for me! I'll probably be wearing this jacket, but I'll probably forego the helmet. If you see me say hello!
Unspecified delays is all the info I came up with.

I think its somewhat of a sudden realization of how insignificant he is and how he is falling into this isolated state, he is falling apart and knows it yet feels jaded and exhausted to the point where he isn't bothered. As someone that has had struggles with depression in the past, I can relate to that interpretation.
>To make it even worse, it’s written in a bathroom, since people’s lives have literally “gone to shit”
The above is someone's interpretation from this website here.
your watch id watch?v=UXklb16x8TE has been archived: https://web.archive.org/web/20111007215203/http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXklb16x8TE&gl=US&hl=en&has_verified=1 and it's not the video you're looking for. It's just a titlecard while the song plays.
I really want to do this with every modest mouse song, but it's intimidating to see them all at once. I could handle two at a time, but I've yet to find something like this Pokemon test. Could anyone create one?
All of their WWDBTSS releases were through Epic records. Bands don't really get much say in what the record companies release. Radiohead has even commented that people shouldn't buy the Capital Records vinyl collections they keep pumping out because they get barely any money out of it and didn't sign off on the releases.
Yup, it was. It's a shame I didn't realize it at the time, but that's how it goes right? Yes! Pat Graham is the man. HE put together the book I mentioned and it's really good. It's mostly photos with some interviews and stories from band members and stuff. From the sound of it, Pat was like the fourth (or fifth) member of MM in the early days, along w/ Dann Gallucci, and came with them on every tour in their "vansion."
Here's the link to the book. I hadn't realized it's selling for $200 and up though, which is really weird. It's a nice book with some great lesser known photos of the band and the landscapes from his window in the van etc, but hopefully is reprinted so it is more affordable for people.

Also dude, have you listened to this? https://player.fm/series/2464827/235429639 Someone posted it yesterday, the interview with Jim Fairchild. About 30-40 minutes in they talk a lot about MOdest Mouse. THey were talking about the chemistry between Isaac, Jeremy, and Eric and it's pretty awesome.
Jim even said in the interview that he writes all teh setlists.... Which is why they don't play the good shit live... Lol fucking jim
"Coke Bottle Green"
Not too rare/expensive, but it's cool nonetheless.
Also quick question bout the merch, did they have all/most of the albums on vinyl? Been looking for a No One's First press and seeing them in a few days.
Hmm, you're right. Let me relink you:

Are these supposed to be a set of panels or a smooth collage? If its supposed to be smooth, try to copy and paste selections, make a blurred version of one paste, then clip the main paste over it. It'll blur the edges of your selection and make it easier to create a smooth collage.
Also, try to use less saturated colours and higher quality assets, it'll make the result a lot more professional.
Lastly, use better contrast for your text and generally a better font. Making it bold and an easier to read colour would help a whole lot. Maybe you could add a blurred backdrop for the text as well?
For stuff like this I'd recommend using MediBang Paint since its very beginner friendly and simple. Good luck creating these, feel free to ask me questions if you need help.
oh shit! i remember reading this list back when it was still a work in progress on gamefaqs
he's got writeups for building nothing, everything, and good news here, but sadly the original threads with all the other writeups seem lost to the wind
I was wondering about the whole song a while back and found this. I thought it had a pretty good interpretation; You might want to check it out
This appears to be a special (possibly) gatefold CD cover, part of a series released by Sony BMG in Europe.
This is part of a series, because I've also found entries for Pearl Jam, Audioslave, and Incubus, some of which are even available on Amazon.
Still think you get it for less on ebay, new aswell.
As a photographer/film photography lover/musician/modest mouse fan, it's one of my favorite books that I own. Lots of great photos in there, good stories, and a behind the scenes look at MM's career.

It's a popular phrase. Here's another couple books with the title: http://www.amazon.com/Strangers-Ourselves-Timothy-D-Wilson-ebook/dp/B002OEBN92

Also, Isaac reading a lot actually makes it more likely that it's a coincidence. He has drawn from a large sample of works, so each individual work that exists being the reason for something he wrote is less likely than if he were a sparse reader.
