I assume this is your character?
Well first of all, your gear is total garbage. No gems, no enchants, no set bonus, bad trinkets, bad legendary, bad stats. Balance druid is very gear and legendary dependent and that simply won't change any time soon. You will need the two rings, bracer and shoulder legendary to be competitive.
No potions used.
The logs are not recorded with advance logging so I can't check talents used in each fight but if you were using 3233132 then it's wrong because it's neither single target nor aoe build. Gebuz's guide is fairly accurate and you should stick with it.
Your ST rotation is okay. I didn't see any glaring mistakes. However with the low casts per minute, it shows that you are moving too much. (No advance loggings so replay is unavailable). MF/SF uptime can be improved, they need to be as close to 100% as possible.
Your AoE rotation is wrong. You have to prioritize Starfall whenever there are 2 or more targets. In Mistress fight you casted 10 starfalls, and 9 in Host fight. That is simply wrong and it shows that you don't understand Balance druid AoE. You should read Gebuz's guide properly.
Took me 1 lockout to get this gear
I asked some friends to rush me through mythic dungeons and ToS. The hardest part is farming the legendarys.
I don't know how your guild/group of friends/whoever you talk with uses the word throughput, but by definition, it means output in a given period of time, or in wow terms DPS and HPS. People who speak of certain healers like druids as excellent raid healers do so because they can generate enormous amounts of healing throughput(HPS) on many targets at once. Cooldowns like time warp are extremely powerful because they increase the throughput (DPS of DD, and HPS of healers) of the entire raid at once.
You are welcome to state your opinion on how healers can work, aka keeping tanks at 70%, being able to burst heal, being able to do damage while doing all that, but you are misusing the word throughput completely. If you want to talk about efficiency of boss kill, the phrase you are looking for is "efficiency of boss kill", not throughput, and even if when you talk to your friends they know what YOU mean when you say that word, the community in general uses the word as it is defined, to mean output over a given period of time.

Here's a vod of my wave 196 (currently rank 3 shaman) I used mostly 600ilvl haste/mastery gear (for the pandaria enchants) and legendary ring, Stone of Elements and Blademaster.
Glyphs: Glyph of Capacitor Totem, Glyph of Lava Spread, Glyph of Fire Nova.
Talents: Earthbind, Totemic Projection, Echo of the Elements, Unleash Fury, Liquid Magma.
I make sure to use Earthbind/cap totem just before every wave starts to stun any healers/monkeys.
Legendary ring on wave 3,5,7 and 10 with mecha-blast rocket for insane burst on sha bosses.
edit: Stone of Elements
As somebody who has decided between the two already, Bear. Your roar as Bear is the best when talented (which is always) no other speed boost of it's kind is 1 minute. Your AoE is stronger for M+ and bosses like Council and Eonar. You can mitigate physical damage much better. No tier means more on your DPS and Heals. You can gear completely from M+ if you want except trinkets. You don't have to stack tons of a certain stat to be viable. I think that's mostly it. Both of my other tanks in raid are DK also, and I watch them struggle in different ways than I do, but both classes are solid. I just favor druid AoE more. For reference sake: (my 2 tanks) https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/kiljaeden/khybear
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/kiljaeden/khytrilla
This was adjusted in 7.2 so there is no longer a CD between JoL heals, thus resolving the problem with having two pallies running JoL in the same raid. You can find that change in the 7.2 patch notes.
Oh, completely misunderstood what you meant haha. In my head I was thinking applications like computer applications for invites or other stuff.
My guild is new but isn't currently soliciting applications (long story) so I can't speak to that immediately.
Edit: this is something I'm interested in so I went ahead and did some quick googling.
Found this: https://eu.battle.net/forums/en/wow/topic/17618941850

He has 6668 Mastery (56% which is, as I said, low). The Sephuz thing I stand corrected on, will monitor it but 3 BM out of the top 100 isnt what I call meta nor would I recommend it so someone progressing on heroic. (especially when those people you a refering to are about 20 ilvl higher which is still far away for a heroic guild).
> I'd suggest you look at top logs and lurk the TSL discord more before trying to give people bad advice on Reddit, and try stay ahead of the meta. But whatever floats your boat.
Instead of insulting me you can try to help others.
I took a decent amount of my personal time to help someone out by finding mistakes in their rotation and bad gearchoices.
Just because there was a slight metachange like 2 days ago doesn't make my whole post invalid.
Sure, make your trigger based on the ZONE_CHANGED event, look up your location with GetZoneText(), make a lookup table for your equipment set, and equip the set with C_EquipmentSet.UseEquipmentSet().
If you want to override bind-on-use, you're going to have to run it from a protected frame, which is still doable, but a bit annoying.
You can do anything in WeakAuras that you can in any other addon, although most WeakAuras are so poorly written that I wouldn't want them anywhere near me. (Yes, the new version is a bit better, but still).
I have seen no mention of it in the comments, but in one of my former guilds back in Legion, we used to watch videos of boss kills on this website:
Everyone was watching the same video at once, at the same time. The RL paused at critical moments to give further info or discuss mechanics, or if someone had a question or a piece of info to add.
It was both pretty interesting and practical.
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Ergo-Wireless-Trackball-Mouse/dp/B0753P1GTS
There's zero wrist movement with this mouse, but it does take some getting used to. Once you get used to it, a regular mouse will feel like a peasant's tool.
During the interview process (well pre-interview, at the initial application) we advise everyone applying to our guild that if you don't have a clear sounding mic, don't bother applying. We confirm this during the discord interview as well. This isn't because we expect everyone to speak all the time, but we do expect that if we ask you a question, or you need to say something, we're getting a quick verbal response and not wasting time waiting for someone to type stuff out.
I would recommend downloading a VPN - (such as VyprVPN, Private Internet Access, etc) and circumvent your insane country's bans on such apps.
So I've played tank or healer since the launch of the game, and have recently swapped to MM hunter. I've only been playing him for about a month but I've been trying to get a grasp of how to improve my play and could use some help. I'm not sure how to analyze logs that well, both in a general sense and specifically to MM.
I'm just not sure what things I should be looking at or focusing on to improve. Most guides I've seen seem to assume I have ToS tier. Does not having the 2 piece change the rotation in any meaningful way?
I've begun messing with simcraft and raidbots to optimize gear and it just all seems so different from the game I've been used to. Any help at all would be appreciated.
Using Linux since the start of BFA without problems. In rare cases the game crashes after resizing the window, but besides that it runs as good as the windows performance. Some benchmarks say the Performance in Linux is even better ( https://www.youtube.com/embed/V2_LlSaYNUo?feature=oembed&enablejsapi=1 ), i guess that depends on your setup.
Distri: Arch Linux I use Lutris to start the game, the install script (https://lutris.net/games/world-of-warcraft/) is straight forward. You may have some stutter if you boot the game the first time or if you get into a new area, but they will go away later.
Heya! I'm a fellow Resto druid, mostly Heroic, but we've downed the first couple bosses in Mythic before our attendance dropped.
Here's my Armory and WarcraftLog if that gives you any useful information.
Your logs look pretty good to be honest, at least to me. It'll just take some time to get used to using your CD's optimally, you're flourish/artifact weapon/etc.
As for gear, high titanforged t19 pieces are the best, but I came back recently like you so I haven't used any t19 in my time in Heroic/Early Mythic ToS. The 4piece t20 is pretty good on a handful of fights, otherwise I think you're better off just equipping your highest ilvl gear like you have.
I can't believe you saw a Sea Star drop, I'm super jealous. I've been downing Mistress every week for nearly 2 months and bonus rolling nearly every time and I've only seen it drop once and it went to our other healer. RIP
I would use that Promises for sure.
It looks like you've got some great answers already, but if there's anything specifically you have a question about I can attempt to answer it!
You have an extremely low amount of mastery for your item level. Are you just upgrading your gear for ilvl and not simming? Comparing your stats to mine (I sim every piece of gear) you're about 20% worse off on mastery. This is my gear https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/lightbringer/deiru and my logs https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/eu/lightbringer/deiru . I match the sims I do for my gear.
Hey, thanks in advance!
Nothing recent unfortunately, there's this one from 21st of March (last pull in case it doesn't send you to the linked time), we haven't improved much in terms of boss % since then, however everything seems to go a lot smoother, well, 'till we hit the transition anyway, then shit hits the fan. I'm guessing it's people panicking, but maybe with some pointers as to what "scares" us we might be able to down him.
Also, as a note, I am aware that I blew up the raid a few times with the debuff from the Doom Lord, but it was mainly either because a wipe was called or simply me failing to get out of range in time.
And there's this thing that happened like 2 or 3 times ever, the doom lord was skipping melee hits (i think) on me and that was causing the debuff to fall off prematurely (it only happened with the Doom Lord we are getting in the P2 > P3 transition, never with others). It certainly didn't become an issue yet, but I would like to know if and how I am able to prevent it.
So the best way to make frontends these days is to use one of the popular SPA (Single Page Application) JavaScript frameworks. The top 3 at the moment are React, Vue, and Angular. When I started Wipefest, it was Angular that I had been learning in my spare time, for one reason or another. If I had to pick one now, I would probably pick React simply because it's the most popular so will have the biggest community, most documentation, most jobs etc, and all 3 of them boil down to the same essential functionality.
If you did want to learn React, the documentation seems to be pretty good: https://reactjs.org/docs/getting-started.html
However, that won't necessary ensure your UI is "pretty". There's definitely a lot of things I still need to learn about that. Using a consistent colour scheme helps, and don't be afraid to include plenty of spacing between things. I don't know. It's a bit of a dark art to me sometimes. I look at things like WoWAnalyzer and I'm just in awe of how good it looks.
I have a friend who uses foot pedals. This isn’t exactly what he uses I just randomly googled it but I can imagine they’d replace previous ctrl / shift nicely https://www.amazon.com/Fragpedal-Dual-PC-Gaming-Footpedal/dp/B005OL87NW
Character: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/malganis/kynessa
Logs: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/character/23041591/13#metric=dps (ignore sisters, dumb death and missed some raid days and never got a rekill)
Get T20 4pc as soon as you can, it will allow you to more easily fit Aimed Shots (AiS) into your rotation. Also try and ditch CoF as it loses value if you don't have the boots. Finding a good Arcway/CoS 2pc will be a dps boost as well, try and get into as many high keys of those dungeons as you can.
As others have said, make sure you swap talents and are using them effectively. A nice rule of thumb is to always cast AiS in pairs and to never completely drain your focus as you won't be able to get the benefit of the 2pc in your next Vuln window. Casting too many Arcane Shots in a row is a DPS killer, since you essentially waste a Vuln window. CDs and things look fine, but there can always be a bit more min/maxing to get the most out of your hunter.
Character: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/malganis/kynessa
There's my timeline as well. I use Arcane Torrent at the same time as Arcane Shot so i can Marked right away and start ASing for focus while at the same time allowing my AiS's to hit later in the Vuln window. I get nine AiS off with Bloodlust and no Lock n Load procs in my first Trueshot.
Pack Leader and Jaws of Thunder relic traits are currently best - by a large margin - however in the newer patch these will be slightly nerfed. If you are strictly doing M+ then considering picking up 1 swipes relic as well.
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/game/talent-calculator#hunter/beast-mastery/talents=3212132
Yes. The tier set is a significant dps boost. At least try and PUG normal its not too difficult.
bind /petattack to certain spells for better pet management. Personally I bind it to Multi-Shot and Kill Command.
hard to say.
there's no great trinkets out of Mythic Dungeons except Chrono Shard from Arcway. Other good trinkets would be CoF (Elisande in Nighthold), BTI (Mythic Ursoc) and a Mastery or Haste stat stick (hand in 5000 Nethershards on the broken shore)
Yes more or less. But also as BM, Agility is weighted fairly high so a higher ilvl armor piece regardless of secondaries will 9/10 be an upgrade simply because of the base Agility increase.
If I was on /r/wow I would say play what you want. You have another mail wearer in your group already to share loot with, so that's good for you personally. havoc DH for AoE stuns and cheese skips is always nice to have. For tanks, Paladins have a great toolkit and they have great DPS which is important in M+ dungeons. For the 3rd dps slot its a toss up, maybe a Frost DK or Warlock for an additional Brez?
to any hunter wondering to do the same: go to the spot and press turtle as soon as they spawn. I'm usually going in with camo but it also works without. then I disengage, run to the direction of the gong and fd.
in bursting weeks make sure your party stands all the way back or inside the portal so they don't get any stacks.
> The buttons get too small.
Uh... the "buttons" on them are standard keyboard sized keys. Sounds like you're not paying attention and think he's referring to an MMO mouse.

Anyone in here use a foot pedal for gaming? Trying to find a good foot pedal that doesn't keyboard ghost (a.k.a use two keys at the same time and still register). I got this from Amazon, but this one ghosts: https://www.amazon.com/Lemo-1640835-Control-Keyboard-Action/dp/B00B3PV47O/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=foot+pedal&qid=1573834450&s=electronics&sr=1-10
Side question, what keys should I put on my foot pedal for WoW?
It's not just the roster that's the problem. Players can be replaced quite easily if you've got enough cash and clout.
They've basically lost all of their sponsors at this point (I think it's just NordVPN left), so the business itself is dead. The Method 'brand' that they lied and covered things up to protect is now officially cancer.
If they come back from this it'd be one of the biggest comebacks in history. They don't deserve to though so fuck 'em.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005MSCGEI/
Easy enough, just used the CD to install it and set my PGUp, PGDown and End keys to pedal keys to then keybind in WoW. So far so good.
> Maybe you can configure one to deafen yourself in Discord, keybind /readycheck, addons to mark targets, etc.
I feel like that wastes the potential of this foot pedal a bit. You normally have two limbs for controls, your left hand and your right hand (so you can do two functions on the left and right at the same time - so left guy uses an ability, right guy looks around using the mouse). Foot pedals let you add a third limb so you can do three functions at the same time so putting important abilities might be sound.
Like I'm thinking interrupt button or healthpot healthstone or potion or extra action button or shift ctrl alt modifier keys.
