Because that's where the joke is...
To be fair, Hader did forget the /s
Although sarcasm should generally always be assumed in here.
Wait, maybe you were doing a double reverse sarcasm?

“The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
One should never apologize for "cheese". You clearly have not read sun tzu's The Art of War if you think you should show weakness to your enemy. Maxes are a fundamental part of any ground operation. It is generally impossible to tale a base without them. You provided a service to your faction, and even though shotguns are potent and deadly weapons, they must be handles by only the most skillful of users to ensure proper battlefield tactics. Please let yourself also be consoled by you being a team player who, as repaired by an engineer standing behind you and pressing mouse one on repair tool with great skill and precision, was able to know the right situation to pull a max (any). Do not give in to anyone who calls you a shitter for being in a max. These are the same untrained soldiers who likely do not use smoke to enhance squadplay potential. Deaths do not matter in this game anyways so don't worry about the people you killed.
>“The greatest victory is that which requires no battle.” ― Sun Tzu, The Art of War
I've never seen a less appropriate use of a quote from The Art of War.
Planetside is a battle - the part where you pointlessly shoot mans is the game. You are arguing in favor of a different game were we all sit and watch a timer tick down - a bar simulator.
You are arguing that the way to play baseball is to hope the other team doesn't show up. You argue that the best fencing match is when the other guy gets black carded for sucker punching the judge.
If you actually believe what you just said, then I have no choice but to assume you are a fool with a world view so utterly alien that the only appropriate response is this: ◔̯◔
If at first the troops do not follow the general's order, the general should speak louder, and clearer.
If the troops still do not follow the general's order, the army lacks discipline. And cannot be trusted to enter any battle field.

Just in case there's people from other timezones. Looking at the time I'll sadly not be able to make it due to work.
Been using DigitalOcean to host the VCO teamspeak server. It's been great, amazing speed and stability, low pings.
If you are a student you can get $50 towards hosting through Github Student Developer pack. Otherwise affilliate links (like mine) will give you $10 towards hosting. If you want to test it out for a bit I have a second virtual server setup for testing on the server just send me a PM and I'll toss you server admin.
The G303 has the same sensor as the G502, so all my advice still applies. I'm no expert on DPI, but I have heard most experienced FPS players use DPIs in the range of 400-1200, 800 is pretty common. I found 400 didn't work very well for me, mostly because I hated the speed of the mouse when just navigating the UI. I haven't tried 800 yet because I seem to have settled comfortably into 1200 DPI with 0.08 in-game sensitivity. You can use www.mouse-sensitivity.com to convert between DPIs and what settings you should use in game. For instance, if I was to switch to 800 DPI, I would need to use an in-game ADS sensitivity of 0.13 instead of 0.08 to keep the same 360 degree rotation. FPS players often measure mouse sensitivity in terms of the centimeters required to make a 360 degree rotation (mine is roughly 53 centimeters). With higher distances, you can make more precise movements and correction with your aim, although you'll be using a much larger surface area on your desk.
The RAM, I'm unsure about. Corsair is a great brand and most people use the Vengeance Pro. I don't know exactly if my RAM is giving me problems, but when I ordered it from NewEgg last year the actual packaging it came in was split open so I wouldn't be surprised if they sent me defective or refurbished RAM.
And yes, I switched to the K70 from a SteelSeries Apex. It's been a great switch. It's a lot more responsive than my old keyboard.
I made this one. Largely from scratch, as well. I do have the one you're talking about though, and shamelessly stole the background idea from it, with a few changes.

I wish he packaged it with the files he used. That would have made my time creating mine a lot easier.
I'm CaptainCox, the leader of [1TR], the 1st Terran Rangers / [1TRV] 1st Sovereignty Rangers. We play on Emerald.
We do regular platoon play every Friday and Sunday from 8-10PM EST. We usually get 4+ squads for ops. We specialize in infantry point holds and tech plants per hour. We try to be a relatively fast and mobile force on the map because we find the normal slow push from one base to the next on the lattice boring and less productive.
I should point out at this time that it is not required to be in 1TR to play in our squads or platoons, so if you don't want to make a decision yet or you choose to join another outfit but still want to play with us from time to time when the other outfit isn't doing anything, that is perfectly fine.
We also have multiple D&D campaigns. We play a considerable about of tabletop games when we're not playing Planetside. We also play games such as Stellaris, Zero-K, Warframe, Street Fighter, M&B: Bannerlord, Star Citizen, Dual Universe etc.
Our only requirements are that you are 18 or older and you agree to follow by our Code of Conduct. Basically don't be a dick.
Our website is here: https://www.guilded.gg/1TR/groups/ If you choose to join, just go to the "Apply" tab on the top and it will bring you to the application. Also make sure to apply in-game with a quick message along the lines of "Applied on website" or something.
We use teamspeak as our main mode of voice chat. The TS address is just "1TR".
We also have a Discord for text chat outside of game. Link for that here. https://discord.gg/t6ra8SZB
If you have any questions, just feel free to either PM me in game @ CaptainCox, hop on the 1TR teamspeak and ask, pop in the 1TR discord, or ask me on Reddit. Loads of ways to get in touch.
Other 1TR officers you can contact in-game: Arctsa, Hodgepodge, Zurkoslat, PancAshash, Keirsti, SlantedRed, opshaxTR
Leaders: ColonelBriggens, LoxusArmelious, GilmorHappy
Mid-sized outfit created by ColonelBriggens with an aim to create a gaming community and home for active players on VS Emerald of all skill levels and experience. We run casual platoons, small squads, armor squads, and community wide events with other outfits and their leaders. We welcome everyone to our teamspeak to stop by and say hello, no matter who you are.

Feel free to subscribe, as I am finally able to record videos without lag now (Thanks to OBS and AMD VCE) there will be more videos coming and in 1080p.
You can do lots of cool stuff with D3. Here's a little project I've been working on to query some databases of mine. It's a little broken but it's been fun.
You could tag along with CRC / Calamity Ravens Corps , a PS4 EU 0rginal Outfit that migrated to PC and is now Active on both Emerald and Miller. NC tho (;

Feel free to DM me if you up to check us out at our Discord. More info about the Corps can be found on our Page at, https://www.guilded.gg/Corps

The Art of Warfare (TAW) is recruiting mature players for our Emerald VS and TR battalions. On Planetside 2, we have outfits on other servers and factions including Oceanic and European.
Our PS2 team is focused on:
Our Emerald battalions are seeking new mature players that want to play and also those that want to lead teams.
Our focus is on accountability, training, teamwork, and communication. We treat all gamers with respect and expect our members to uphold the ethics. We also never put gaming above real life with the team, so don’t worry, you’ll still have a job, family and soul even after joining.

Been using this for years and love it. Has browns, as several other people have recommended
Depending on what kind of horsepower you're looking for in your new GPU, AMD VEGA coming some time towards the end of this year, or the current RX480 may be a good choice for you.
The AOC G2460PF is a 144hz, 1MS GTG Freesync 1080p 24Hz panel currently $209 USD on Amazon
Man Iron these are one of the few posts I'm happy to up-vote thanks to the intelligent response and conversation that's worthy of the name that brings the apocalypse to Terra-bad players in PS2. Not exactly nerdy stuff but important since one of the chief activities of this planet, if looking at it from a 5000 ft view, is war. It is something that I've never felt vehicles in PS2 have ever been implemented correctly and fundamentally have a disconnect technically as well as practically with even 60s-era vehicles.
Also related to tactical level of warfare is when a war is just. This had been heavily investigated during the middle ages (or the renaissance "dark ages") the subject of a just war. I liked this book on the subject for some historical insight to a very much derided time: https://www.amazon.com/Middle-Cambridge-Studies-Medieval-Thought/dp/052129276X

I mean, this is literally the only monitor I've ever used but the Asus has given me no problems. I guess I wouldn't know the differences unless I sperged out and spent nearly $700 on a ROG monitor but it's a pretty fucking awesome piece of equipment.
This is the one me and many others use.
Oh yeah those old IBM keyboards are loud as hell. This is the keyboard I use at the moment. It's pretty basic but well made, the blue keys are quite loud though and take a little pressure to activate. I'm by no means an expert but I think black, brown and clear mx keys are supposed to be quiet/er. They all have a different feel too so I'd read up on them first. Red keys are supposed to be good for gaming apparently. I've heard good things about corsair, ducky and das keyboards but they're a little more expensive.
Haven't really seen many white mechanical keyboards sorry, you could try painting it yourself :P
Oh god, really any mouse pad will do a better job than your desk, but the absolute best mouse pads at the moment seem to be the artisan pads expensive as fuck, but from what i've heard well worth it.
Currently using a razer goliathus extended control myself, and I can't say i'd recommend it. Doesn't glide very well, and is just a tiny bit too short in both lengths to be comfortable for a 47cm 360.
Aren't they the ones you can mod into the 598s by removing the foam pieces inside?
Edit: Yep, they are. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-kJ7sN16qw
Also taking this opportunity to plug the AKG K701s

Stylish as fuck and they're great quality and open back, which is essential for gaming.
I know this guy personally he's legit no mouse. If you wanna get on his level:
Man, I just picked up a 980 Ti. This baby is next on my shopping list. Planning to order it at the end of the month. So excited!
Been enjoying the Razer Manticore since the winter
No downsides yet. Just gotta be careful about not scratching it.
I use the SteelSeries 4HD Professional Gaming Mouse Pad (Black)
I've heard good reviews from people with the massive mousepad blanket that is the QcK Heavy Mouse Pad
