The problem here is banks IT infrastructure sucks. We are living in 2000 . I had tried some app that had linkage to a credit card company , it did not list any local bank. I was hoping for a bit too much, the card didn't work and upon contacting the devs they said the Saudi card issuer needs to grant them access which they refused .

There is another app, it reads your SMS automatically and you can configure the keywords associated for it to file the expenses under that category. A little hard for someone with no patience and no experience in configuration.

It will also allow you to manually add expenses and has ability to have multiple crc and bank accounts as well as track loans and debits from friends etc. I like to consider it the Excel of finance tracking apps.

I have worked with the dev in helping me add some local banks and crcs transactions to be properly added , he has helped me sort out most problem, however, for one card I do transactions in multiple currencies , this complicates for him to rely on conversion amount and detect the currency some pos put currency after wards some pos put currency before. ( Probably depends on the banks pos being used by retailer)

The problem is currency detection, but those are less so it gets added as Sar and I just do a manual conversion and edit the transaction.

Most banks pos use same standard setup so setting up fonfig for 2-3 SMS will let you get 3/4 of the input automatically accurately some pos gives different layout of SMS notifications for those you have to add them in configurations for each variations untill you have input every possible variation that covers all your expenses. expense manager pro

Another app that lets you organise by reading your SMS is SMS organizer by Microsoft it's in early beta and not available in all countries. It is an sms app I use for sorting all the promo codes , offers , ads, and other important stuffs categorically, not all ads are spam so this app intelligently sorts them. As an added benefit it seems to track two of my banks sms and shows me how much balance is left in those accounts and one crc, however the currency shown is different.

Picked it mostly because it's a standalone app and not a service. So my data isn't shared or mined and there is no chance of me having to pay more at a later stage.
