Well, since nobody else is being helpful, try this:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
It will let you use your charge 2 to get notifications that the app doesn't allow by default. It's really handy.
There is a better way. Fit Notifications - Get notifications from any app. I use it and it's great.
IDK what type of phone you have, but if you have Android:
It's what I use with my Alta HR, works perfectly.
Probably not what you really want, but I have a Fitbit Charge HR 2 and use this app. It lets you pick apps that will send notifications to your Fitbit.
I had similar problems with my Fitbit. Then I found Fit Notifications. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
The app is not Fitbit specific actually. Filtering possibilities is quite basic though. But the author is quite responsive. And the app is also open source.
Have had no problems with notifications at all. If you need more than the advertised call/text/calendar notifications, take a look at Fit Notifications
Sorry, should have clarified. Official third party apps notifications are only available for the Blaze currently.
You can see which notifications each device supports here.
Although, there is an app for android call Fit Notifications that allows any notification to be sent to any fitbit device. It works really well from what I've heard from my friend.
I found Fit Notifications on the Play Store works fine despite BitTicker's issues. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications&hl=en
Very similar app to BitTicker, not as polished in my opinion and a few niggles e.g. app name being shown in every notification.
But this should tide me over till the native notifications update comes through (when that may be...)
I have pixel 1 with charge 3 with no issue. There is an app in the play store which might be able to help if Fitbit won't work. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
Thanks for the suggestions. I experimented with Fit Notifications last night and it seems to do exactly what I want. Using Google Keep to make individual reminders with text and Fit Notifications to push it to the Versa.
Ah that makes sense
For me, I set reminders on my phone
With this app, the notification for the reminder gets sent to my Fitbit
Android link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
I have my charge 2 giving me multiple apps' notifications via this https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
But yeah, it's not as robust as the blaze's way of doing it. And I can't control music playback with it.
If you have a compatible device and Android you can get Fit Notifications.
Have you tried Fit Notifications? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications
Use this app - the onscreen instructions will walk you through setup: Fit Notifications
If you have Android, this may help you out:
It works with every Andriod device, not just Samsungs.
If you're looking for an app to replace it, I've been using Fit Notifications for a while.
If you're on Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.abhijitvalluri.android.fitnotifications&hl=en_US
No options that I know of for iPhones though.
It's called fit notifications you can find it on the Play store :)
