Or how about we just use a better app? Forge for SMITE. Really, after using Forge I've forgotten completely that Smite had an official app. And, if you're an iPhone user, then I heard they developer is working on an iOS version which should be coming out soon™.
If you are on Android I recommend downloading Forge, it's a great utility for Smite information that by far exceeds Hi-Rez's app.

Have a look here for the Android version: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.bitsized.forge
The iOS app is going to feature everything in the Android version: News, gods, items, profile viewer (masteries, recent matches, etc.), and more.
I use an app with great up-to-date team standings for the SPL teams, to decide who to vote for in the Season Ticket. I'm not sure if it's available for iOS or Windows, but here's the Android link.
Forge for Smite is the best Smite app on the market. Some arts are outdated but everything else is always up to date.
I didn't see anyone mention it, but Forge on Android is pretty good.
This app shows summary stats in Smite on ios and android. Useful thing if you want to analyse your matches.

Co-op modes are okay, but I think you should try PVP soon. At your level there shouldn't be many experienced players (there weren't when I used a smurf account) so the leap from bots to actual players won't be drastic. Even in Conquest the skill and general game knowledge is a bit lacking at lower levels; I just finished a game where the other team was only mages and ran all over the map, giving no care to meta.
I found it easier to turn off auto-skill first, but learning which items to buy is more important. If you play a certain god a lot, take a look at that god's in-game page and look at the Item Builder while consulting sites like SmiteFire or TierMonster. You can also select "Help" in Smite's menu to view the Item Browser. Personally, I try out gods until I find one I like, then I stick to that god for a few mastery levels to really get a feel for what they do and what items work best for my play-style. Building different things on one god makes it easier for me to learn the items, thus making it easier to build other gods. Once you start understanding how to build (and if you have a compatible phone) you can check out the Forge app. It's a fantastic resource and allows you to construct builds easily and check out the stats and it's just really, really good. Yep, run-on sentence cuz it's that good.
I guess learning the most played gods could help because you will be encountering them a lot. Knowing how the most-used gods are played will help you counter them. In Arena I see a lot of Ares, Loki, Bellona, Ah Puch, Kukulkan, Poseidon, and Zeus, along with whichever gods are on free rotation. Conquest, well, you should check out the current tier list to get an idea of what to expect, but at lower levels it's a free-for-all. Arachne carry and Nu Wa support? You'll see it. Of course you will encounter every god at some point, so give each a try for a few games.
I am the worst jungler, so I do not have much to say on this subject. I've seen this playlist by a Smite pro referenced for jungling, but not sure if it's a good beginner's resource.
From what I know of Ao Kuang, he is a very opportunistic god and as such will not be leading your team into battle. I've played him twice (in arena, unsuccessfully) but I can tell you my failure was because I tried to be in the team fight instead of on the periphery, waiting for the best moment to strike.
u/Lionkun has compiled a great list of information, especially for when you make the leap to conquest. I frequently reference this pile of info Lionkun curated. Definitely bookmark-worthy.

Yes. It's called Forge. link... well, it's not actually official, but it is in fact better than the Official app. :)
