It's not a free VPN but currently they're running a promo. They're giving away 1 year (unlimited bandwidth, unlimited devices) licenses for free. Just enter your email address and check your mailbox for further instruction.

I used the avira phantom vpn, it's free but limited to a certain amount of data (you'll have more than enough to do this so long as you aren't running a bunch of videos in the background at the same time). It does download avira antivirus (it says it's required to run the vpn) but that's the most as far as i can tell about spamware. Personally, I would uninstall after you get the game but avira seems to be a trusted company. The app is available on mac, windows, ios and Android. I used the windows version. Just log in with a VPN connected and then there's no need.
I prefer This VPN.
Also I use a modded version of Spotify to get it ad free and with unlimited skips.
In some regions I think the app is restricted on mobile. If you decide to download it - you may need to change regions so you download first this = vpn app .
Then on your phone -> Go to applications and clean the cache of the "play store" turn on the vpn and pick location : "usa" start the play store and then search for "bible gateway" and download it - and everything is good. In the app then you can download - new catholic version and you can read it on your phone offline.
(The vpn is free you can delete it afterwards. The app is free also)
