We have a lot of great night life stuff. Excellent restaurants, bars, clubs, and concerts. The sports teams are decent, too, if you're into that thing. The local music scene is also pretty great. Also, very low cost of living compared to other cities.
We've also got a lot of really excellent industry here, too. The entertainment industry is burgeoning like mad down here right now; lots of high quality movie, game, and audio studios, and it seems like new ones pop up every day. There's also a number of major conventions that hit Atlanta for many different industries. There's a lot of work to be had around here.
The aquarium and the zoo are pretty cool, and we have a couple other attractions that are good enough to merit a visit (fernbank planetarium go!). Some decent history in the state, as well. Download the Georgia Historical Markers App to find all the cool spots.
There's a number of negatives, but I doubt they're exclusive to the city. The traffic is horrendous. Public transportation is terrible (expect to buy a car or commonly hire Uber). Weather is fickle, but generally not too bad.
Depending on which part of the city you visit, you'll also find a lot of wannabe rappers/gangbangers, hipsters, homeless people, LGBT pushers, and bible thumpers. Atlanta is a pretty progressive city in terms of cultural acceptance, and that may not be everyone's cup 'o tea.
Overall, it's a pretty good place.
