Idle oil tycoon https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moldygames.oiltycoon&hl=en
Actually spent the few $$ to remove adds from it. It doesn't actually say you win, but it crashes because the numbers are too high.
Idle Oil Tycoon was my first incremental game. It was inspired by Adventure Capitalist which wasn't on android at the time, but I think IOT is better because of certain unique elements. It looks plain, but it's a satisfying game.
you... actually want to click only? eventually idle?
Let's go back to 2014: Idle Oil Tycoon back before the android store was chock full of fast follows. You literally cannot pay to win.
I've been 'playing' Idle Oil Tycoon for the past couple of days. It's really basic, but it looks like it'll take quite a while to get all of the achievements (which boost the profits of your properties or how fast they resolve). You need to tap a little bit to start, but you can buy CEOs to make your properties generate money on their own. No need to be online, no fancy battery-draining animations, no problem here.
I would say that I'm rather surprised that I personally haven't seen anyone share Idle Oil Tycoon in this subreddit. Sure games like Clicking Bad and similar flash games of its time had my attention, but Idle Oil Tycoon by Moldy Games was the one that captivated me, and I would love to see if it has done the same for anyone else, as it is one of very few that I find myself returning to every few years!
If you want a simple yet fun game, try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moldygames.oiltycoon&hl=en_US&gl=US
Otherwise there's always Legends of Idleon, that will have you hooked for a few hours atleast, it's online though.
Idling to Rule The Gods, The MOAB of idle games imo

That's the ones I can think of from the top of my head
Idle Oil Tycoon in an incremental on Android (maybe other platforms) that had minimal graphics and a very long progression. I was hooked on it daily for over a year.
This one?

seems fine.
Unfortunately SPACEPLAN is basically the best clicker game ever because it actually has a win state. However I'll list off a few of the idle/clickers I've installed on my phone and didn't immediately hate myself for opening:

Egg Inc.: Looks nice, and is kind of low-key hilarious. Has some minor balancing mechanics because you need to get chickens to lay eggs but also have enough housing for them and trucks to ship the eggs. Unfortunately thebest way to progress is to tap on drones that fly by the screen since they drop ungodly amounts of money, so the further into the game you get the more it feels like nothing else matters.
Swarm Sim: It's actually a browser-based game, but some enterprising individual wrote a phone app with some graphics so you can do it on the go. Has that exponential, self-growing system where you get units that generate currency, and then sacrifice those units to make a next level unit that automatically generates the currency producing unit. repeat forever.
Eternal Senia: A cute little idle clicker RPG thing where you're a girl killing monsters looking for her sister. Actually has a story. Wow.
Idle Oil Tycoon: This one specifically (it's a popular theme). If you liked adventure capitalist, but it was too battery hungry or you were sick of how many ads it wanted you to watch, this is for you. Very minimal. I love it.
The beginning is a bit more active, but once you get past that, you can't speed up the game and have to play it passively.
Idle Oil Tycoon
This was my first idle game I played. It's kind of like AdCap, but it has unique elements with the specialists and really makes it a long-term idle game (with an ending). There isn't any clicking except for the beginning before you buy a manager.
I used to play a similar automated game on android, Idle Oil Tycoon. It has less "theme" and graphics but is essentially the same exact idea. Such a huge waste of time though.
Right now, my favorite app is Idle Oil Tycoon. Around February this year I really got into incremental games. This is one that's available on android and has kept me interested since April. I haven't had many games that do that, especially ones that are repetitive. What you do is you buy properties, build money to buy more, hire some CEOs, buy technologies, and eventually retire so that you start again with a boost. Once you have completed the main mode (took me like a month) there is an unlimited mode. You beat the game when you hit ∞ for the cost for all the properties, because then you can't really do anymore :/
My wife really needs a phone case. She's prone to breaking her phone. It's in my Important wishlist, which should be the one in my flair, but I'm not entirely sure :)
Here are all the games mentioned in this thread:
First off, I am not a pedophile.
Idle Oil Tycoon is pretty lightweight. Its been on my phone for years.

Idle Oil Tycoon was considered one of the best for a while.

The AdVenture Communist Open Beta will be out soon if you want to jump in on it. I guess that's also the reason they "fixed" earth. Oh, and it seems like AdCap will come to PS4 if you want to believe this picture. So you can play it all over again if you own a console! (Which might not be as much fun as it seems.) Also: Don't forget that the new event starts tomorrow!
Right now you should look at Idle Oil Tycoon if you haven't. It's pretty much like AdCap with a few small differences. You can also play an endless mode if you finish the game.
You might also want to try Tap Tycoon, it is similar to AdCap and even though you can tap in it, it's - as far as I can tell - not as powerful as in games like Clicker Heroes.
I think Idle Miner Tycoon could also be up you ally, though I haven't played it for that long right now but seems pretty solid.
The Futureplay games Farm Away! and Build Away! are also quite fun and doesn't need you to tap like a crazy person.
I think that Idle Professions can also be fun and is kinda like AdCap.
PS: I really REALLY hate the generic names, have some creativity, devs. Please.
Browsers:
swarmsim
trimps
shark game
basic
I liked these all more than mine defense
Android:
idle oil tycoon (I like this more than adcap)
Great incremental, unique elements that makes it more fun than adcap
I got a few games for you Idle oil tycoon: Only on Android a lot like adventure capitalist but better in my opinion. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moldygames.oiltycoon
Deep town: a fun game that takes a lot of elements from different idle games like crafting, smelting, mining, and bosses I guess. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rockbite.deeptown
Idle miner tycoon: a fun mining game https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fluffyfairygames.idleminertycoon
Hopefully you find something fun! I stumbled across 'Candy Box 2', loved it and went looking for more but apart from 'A Dark Room' I've not played anything that's quite filled that niche.
I did/do find Idle Oil Tycoon and AdVenture Capitalist strangely addictive, even though they're not much more that an Excel spreadsheet turned into a game :). I'll probably give Clicking Bad a go too, either on Android or Browser.
Sorry, was at work all day.

It is unfortunately only available in the US right now due to some legal issues.

Could be that one. I had fun on that one years and years ago.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moldygames.oiltycoon&hl=en I played that years ago. It took me about a year playing before it broke because the numbers got too big.
As far as I know there is only one "Idle Oil Tycoon".
But anyway, here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.moldygames.oiltycoon
Idle Oil Tycoon is working fine for me here. You need to tap a couple of times to start, but once you're able to buy a CEO, the game will automatically do it for you. There aren't more properties but the game supports a rather ridiculous amount of upgrades and there are achievements that give bonuses like properties generating more money or resolving faster. It has basic graphics but you can check in, buy properties/CEOs/Technologies/Specialists/etc and quit until the next time you check. There's an infinite mode too.
Logging Quest and Logging Quest 2 are pretty hands-off idle RPGs. Build a character in 1 or a team of three in 2 and send them out into the wild to clear dungeons. There's a big strategy element, especially in 2, because you can program your team to act a specific way when a specific situation comes up. Like "if [your] [HP] is [less than] [50%], then [use an item] [Potion] on [self]" and "if [enemy] is [immune] to [electric damage] [or] [ice damage] [or] [fire damage], then [attack with weapon]" are both valid programs. There are some dungeons that have puzzles, like an early one requiring you to use an item found in an earlier dungeon to advance--and you need to tell your character(s) to use that item in a specific room on a specific floor. The game logs everything that happens so you can get a detailed play-by-play of both combat and exploration, which helps for determining where things aren't working out for your people.
I put in over 800 hours in LQ2, and I actively played a very tiny fraction of that time. You'll get notified when your team returns regardless of results, and they don't grind infinitely on monsters like some other idle RPGs. When you send them out, you're given an estimate on how long your team is expected to be away, and that is actually an estimate--depending on their actions, they may be back sooner or later than expected. When they return home, they don't do anything other than wait for your command, so you don't really lose much by not checking in constantly.
Both games also have definite ends, which was kinda neat.
Game called Idle Oil Tycoon [Google Play]. Very basic, yet very addicting.

Idle Oil Tycoon is my vote for the best idle game!
They got a subreddit too /r/IdleOilTycoon
idle oil tycoon sound right for you

even has a reddit: /r/IdleOilTycoon
Despite the lack of graphics it's actually pretty high quality game with a lot of depth.
Idle Oil Tycoon (still, i have no idea really - i think i find counting $ in scientific notation calming or something), played Bitcoin Billionaire but got bored before i prestiged/retired a 2nd time. Now I'm on to Tap Titans, i think I'll likely prestige for the 1st time later today - it seems really interesting.
edit: Oh and I was playing Galaxy Clicker. Beat it about 5 times before getting bored, that game has a lot of problems most of them relating to the fact that barely anything is explained. I still have no idea what the point of the "subuniverse" progression was.
Not sure if this is what you had in mind; but this (Idle Oil Tycoon) is a fairly fun 'waiting game'
Wow thanks for your Efford dude this is really helpful, since the store is full of Pay2win,Fraud and Virusapps (First it`s ok then u realize it`s not really free (Ingame Purchases are key to keep going or u have to spend years., getting farmed and beaten up all the time etc)
I don`t even have a Problem with a ads (sometimes for a few seconds but this become a Plague already) > Forced Watch to Play etc guess u all get what i mean..

Tell me if i messed up or something they aren`t fitting in here.
Idle Oil Tycoon Is a great android game with almost entirely offline progress, though it is more of an idle game
