I took another course roughly at the same time, focused more specifically on making Android games. As amazing as Ben's course is, it doesn't focus on that specifically, so the other Udemy course was very helpful.
I originally started making something a bit bigger, but then opted to go for something smaller and easier. It's nothing spectacular but here it is if you'd like to see.
I'm currently working on one that IMO and a few others is a lot more fun to play.
Okay, that makes me feel a little bit better knowing this was a 4 person job :). I've always been wary of pixel games but you don't even notice once you start playing this.
Follow-up question for you now, how do you work out payment and revenue sharing on a project like that? I would like to do a team project too but figuring the monetary aspect out is a bit confusing.
My game is called Jungle Jumpers. I'll probably make a show-off post here once I get a few more kinks worked out. I haven't been able to figure out ladderboards yet. Also, after watching your video trailer I kind of want to redo mine.
Left you a 5 star review btw! This is actually a game I'll be leaving on my phone and playing. I like it a lot.
In Jungle Jumpers, you select your favourite jungle animal and jump, bounce and balance your way to new heights. Simply tilt your phone to move left and right, and tap to jump and again to double-jump while in the air. How high can you climb?
This is an easy to play, challenging to master, endless climber game. I started learning to code from scratch last October by taking Ben Tristem's Udemy course. This is the first completely original game I've created on my own, without the help of tutorials (other than learning new concepts).
Features:
Endless gameplay with trackable high scores per level
12 playable characters with 11 being unlockable
3 level types with different forms of gameplay
Hidden secrets for you to find in the menus
Coming Soon:
Leaderboards to compete online (once I learn how to implement them)
New level types
Your feedback implemented into the game
While there are in game purchases, they are 100% cosmetic only. Different characters offer no special advantages over each other.
While I don't consider this game to be perfect, I do think and hope it's pretty fun to play. I'm the kind of guy who tends to start a project without ever finishing it, so I'm extremely happy that I actually followed through and launched my first ever app, especially when 8 months ago I didn't even know what Unity was or how to write a print statement.
I welcome your feedback!

Sure, the other one is called Jungle Jumpers.
