I've been using an app to keep my logs for a few weeks. Right now it's just like paper logs. My company is planning to subscribe to their full service later on to fulfill the requirements of eLogs in Nov 2017.
In order to make the logs I'm currently using fully compliant the app will connect to a device using Bluetooth. The device will be plugged into the truck using that port they use to hook up a computer to do diagnostics.
