I've got an app . Some points to remember:

• be ready to give your credit card info, you will only get 1,000 requests without it vs 150,000 a day
• there is a bug in the example project when trying to type too fast in the autocomplete text field
• attributions, you will need to put Google branding
• works even better when you can check user's location and set Bounds around him, it will show much better predictions

I used it to quickly grasp some address with gps coordinates and pinpoint it on a map

I've used the Google sign in button (not the Google+) and Google App Engine with Google Cloud Endpoints for backend in my recent project. (my app )

The implementation was pretty straightforward. The only fact I hate is that there is no support for any other authentication than using Google account.
