We still can't give you medical advice though. :( Have you tried the app mediglotte? It's written by medical students in France as a way for people to communicate with doctors and other professionals when you don't speak the same language. This and the offline google translate app are livesavers.
Other solutions I've used:
Ask a friend to ask on your behalf. In Spain you don't need to see a doctor to get the BCP, it's available over the counter. You can just ask the pharmacist for the brand you want.
Ask the pharmacist if they speak English. If they say 'a little' they are fluent, 'no' means a small amount. This is a difference between Spaniards and English speakers. Sometimes you can even get lucky and another customer can speak English. They will generally help you.
Use skype to call a pharmacy in America. Ask the questions. Alternatively have you Mum call and ask in America on your behalf.
Out of curiosity, dónde estás?

I'll add this to the automessage:
Mediglotte is a free app written my french pharmacy students that helps you see a doctor in a foreign language.
As somebody living in a country that I don't speak the language I'd suggest you find a friend, or your boyfriend to go with you.
You can also use the google translate app on your phone, you can download the languages you need so you can use them even without internet access. I managed a surgery consult like this. It sucked but it worked.
Take a pen and paper with you so that you can draw things as sometimes that's easier than describing.
Also, depending on where you are you may be able to find an English speaking GP to see, even if that is not their speciality, for common problems they will be able to help. Search your local expat community for information.
