i found it myself! The Game is "MinuteQuest"!

Thank you, will add more art-assets when I have the core gameplay in place (mountains, trees, new enemies, weapons/armor)
1) Im a big fan of MinuteQuest - Google Play link so there is where the inspiration comes from. I want it to be "semi-idle". Everything you see in the game at the top can be altered by choosing how to spend your money, stat-points, equipment. Perhaps adding "materials" needed for crafting equipment. So no clicker, but not zero-player either.
2) Ive added a fix so that it wont freeze when unfocus. However, some browser will stop the game if you open a new tab so letting it run in another window should fix that.
Also want to incorporate Firebase.js mechanics for realtime-leaderboards and whatnot (although its easy to hack which I must adress before doing that)
Thank you for your feedback
It's not quite a Roguelike (not turn based, not tile-based, no permadeath), but the first thing that springs to mind for me is MinuteQuest on Android. Essentially you can play by holding down the "move right" button and your character will auto-attack and keep advancing. As you level up, you're able to withstand and deal more damage. Along the way, you'll encounter shops for weapons, armor, pets, and powerup items. The "strategy" comes from how you tune your gear and upgrades to match a certain playstyle and what kinds of monsters you died to last time, since each section is mildly deterministic. It's also possible to kite monster attacks and tap to perform faster attacks, so active engagement is rewarded.
I imagine it would be certainly possible to apply similar gameplay principles to a linear / 1D roguelike.

Μην "κατεβαζεις" πολλα games apps στο κινητο γιατι η μπαταρια τελειωνει ευκολα
You could grind for XP and gold in MinuteQuest. An incremental side-scrolling RPG. Though admittedly there's still some thinking to be had; particularly regarding character builds, item management, stat allocation, all of which are pretty complex concepts for an incremental game.

You might like Minute Quest, Minute Frontier, and Minute Dungeon.
These are all free games with no IAP. There will be a small banner ad at the bottom of your screen. I found it to be unobtrusive.
Note that if you watch the preview video on the Play store, it shows Japanese text, but the games are available in English.
This game's theorycrafting is heavily inspired by games like Path of Exile, and the game art is inspired by the amazing MinuteQuest series by moitititi. I'm not much of an artist, and his lo-fi style has a unique vibe to it, as retro pixel art games go.
I made a small Discord server (https://discord.gg/5n3JtU) for this game, where there are a ton of development screenshots in the #development channel.
It's still up. Hasn't been updated since 2015 though.

Is this the Minute Quest you were referring to? In the States, it's still on the Play Store.
