Mobius Final Fantasy
It is a cool game which looks like a generic grindy/auto "rpg" but it actually has some decent depth and mechanics especially the multiplayer. And an active subreddit
PC version should be main focus but android might help us? idk but here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_googleplay.mobiusff_ne&hl=en_US
and idk if ios would help but just including link since it is quicker to access that way: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/mobius-final-fantasy/id1091974564
What about MOBIUS FINAL FANTASY or FINAL FANTASY Record Keeper? If you haven't played them, have you heard good things about either of them?
Im in the middle of playing Mobius Final Fantasy:
Great graphics and its auto or play it kinda game.
I only have the Google play link at the moment. Maybe an apple user can share the app store link as well
another example would be this game,
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_googleplay.mobiusff_ne
it says in the description: 39MB size but once you load that it will say "there is a (not sure of the actual size) #GB download download required, it's recommended you use wifi would you like to continue" because there's no way a game this is that good looking with music and voice acting could come in at 39 MB
I am playing mobius too, it seems like every other similar type grindy game but i kinda enjoy the characters and the mechanics
And it helps that you get a decent amount of "premium" currency per day. But the mechanics arent explained that deeply and it has a lot of mechanics. Thankfully reddit and their discord server has helped me a lot.
That's the English one. Kinda strange because in the play store the English one was the first on the list when I went to download it.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_googleplay.mobiusff_ne&hl=en mention a 4.0 android version, but some comments on the japanese app mention that you need a good phone
Link to the Play Store page with the above announcements (scroll down to "What's new").
A free-to-play mobile game that is way more technically impressive than a mobile game deserves to be; full 3D graphics that look pretty darn swell given the platform they're designed for. You play as a young man named Wol, who suddenly finds himself in a world called "Palamecia", not knowing anything else than that he must fight to fulfill The Prophecy and defeat Chaos.
That sounds terribly cliché; in one way it's intentional, since this game very strongly echos Final Fantasy I, but it's also heavily subverted by this Prophecy business being... let's say, sketchy. No spoilers, but Wol is a bit of a cynic, and he might have good reason to be.
Palamecia is of course inhabited by all sort of standard Final Fantasy things, so everything that you'd expect is here - Moogles, Malboros, ~~Tonberries~~ Tonberrxeum etc. etc. etc. Some do the classic stuff you'd expect of them, and some do little twists on the old setting.
Gameplay wise, you control a single character in battles that "feel" nicely real-time when they're actually turn-based, meaning it's a pretty relaxing affair you can put away and pick back up on, even in the middle of a battle, which is rather convenient for a mobile game - you can even turn off your phone during a fight and then return later on to the exact same point in the fight as you left.
Battles are all about exploiting the enemies' elemental weaknesses while actively increasing your own elemental defenses. Buffs and debuffs are really powerful, but there's still not mindblowingly much micromanagement since you can "only" equip up to five abilities at a time. It does manage the good old "a lot deeper than it sounds" business, though.
"Lifestyle"-wise, it's a pretty involved game where maxing out your characters will take some time; it uses the job system from other Final Fantasy games and maxing out all the jobs is not a venture I'd recommend, but you can definitely find some faves and max them out within a reasonable timeframe.
We've got a pretty neat single player campaign with new Chapters released every month, regular single player events including some really tough "ranking" events where people compete to see how far they can go, and the multiplayer is kind of cool, although a tad repetitive - this may be because multiplayer is fairly new to the game, though, and there will be more multiplayer bosses released later on.
The game does require an internet connection to start and finish battles, although you can play single player battles even without an internet connection once you've started them. The data usage is shockingly minor, mostly because most of the stuff is pre-downloaded - it means the game eats a fair few gigs on the initial download, but after that you can play it on the bus or wherever without being too paranoid about your internet bill. Wifi is always good, though, especially to download patches.
All in all the game has a pretty stable future since it's been out in Japan for quite some time longer than here; this means that we're pretty much "guaranteed" that it'll keep going, although it also means we get some spoilers. Shrug. Some people are complaining that some of the recent business strategies employed by Square Enix are not very free-to-play friendly; personally I don't give a fig and am not at all worried for the future of the game, but everyone has their own opinion.
Mobius is available on Android and iPhone, and you can also perfectly well set up emulators to play it on PC. The Japanese version already has a Steam release, and we've been promised a Steam release (with accounts synchronised with our old ones) here on the Global server soon^(tm), too.
You're welcome to try it out, if you have time in-between bouts of FF XV; or you could save yourself the addiction. Your call!
Mobius Final Fantasy to be honest. Love this game.
That's awesome. And it's weird that Facebook is literally the only place they've put that tidbit. I looked on the Official News Site:
http://information.mobiusfinalfantasy.com/ne/
The Google Play Store Update Info:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.square_enix.android_googleplay.mobiusff_ne
Even the Itunes App Store Update Info:
https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/mobius-final-fantasy/id1091974564?mt=8
And not a single one says anything about that. O.o! Guess I need to add Facebook to my rounds when looking up Mobius News. ;P
Yeah, I also love DQ and was looking forward to that game but unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. But it was a game that had been released 5 years before in Japan and only now received a global release, so that wasn't a very good sign already.
If I'm not mistaken, there are currently 4 FF gacha games:
Mobius Final Fantasy was quite popular for some time but they already announced it's ending soon, so probably not a very good idea to start now.
Final Fantasy Record Keeper is very fun, has really nice pixel art and a lot of references to past games. Though it still seems to have a decent following, it has been around for a long time - 6 years - so things have slowed down for it and I wouldn't be surprised if it's discontinued soon.
Final Fantasy Brave Exvius like I said is very nice looking and is quite popular but is very famous for having huge power creeps and not being friendly at all to F2Ps.
Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia is easily the one I recommend the most. Like I said it's very F2P friendly, the gameplay is fun and like Record Keeper it brings together many characters from all the games in the series.
There is also an upcoming game called War of the Visions Final Fantasy Brave Exvius which you can pre-register for. It looks like it will have a style similar to FF Tactics set in the universe of Brave Exvius.
Is pretty good. Easy to learn.
Final Fantasy XV: A New Empire I have not tried it but it looks intriguing.
Another is a music based.
Cytus I have enjoyed it very much. All songs are free since million DL marker. Only thing about this one is that there is a 'cool down' 30 seconds : / If you wanted, $1.99 on Play store.
Just pay attention to this link
That should be the global release version.
