I ran out of things to call planets, so I downloaded a name generator app to my phone. If you happen to come across Wasnesennenmenlitebodover, Deforwitdasherdennenbedor, Quaseforhehekoywitbor, Notcaterhahisrequagenhis, Derdasnictenhingenherbyre, OH GOD OH MAN THESE STORMS ARE KILLING ME (Moon of Derdasnictenhingenherbyre), New Mark Wahlberg, or Danglepeen you'll have found some of the many places I've discovered.
Yes I name every planet, solar system, and moon I find like this. Yes, it's time-consuming.
I really think that a sticky is needed with all this information on it. I've seen people not realising that someone has created something they want. This has also resulted in people doing multiple projects for the same thing.
While I was trying to figure out how I'm going to name things/keep track of them, I came across loads of stuff both created by, and suggested by the community (listed below). I've tried to tag/credit wherever possible, but I was initially only making this list for myself, so I didn't write names down.
I'm sure that people will probably find it useful and it will stop people from duplicating work. Does anyone know how to contact the mods to suggest something like this? ( I'm new to Reddit, so there's a lot I don't know).

EDIT: As I said earlier I think that community competitions are a great idea, and if they involve something visual, then NMS Origins gets my vote.
I'm just copying and pasting from a previous post.

For what it's worth, I figured out how to contact the mods and sent my suggestion over to them. Currently waiting to hear back from them.
Also I'd like to suggest the following be added to the digital journal category:
/r/NoMansSkyMyJourney
Following an update of NMS Ally, to include a community section, where you can upload screenshots to share,it should be added too.
/r/NoMansSkyTravelGuide and /r/Xenoarchaeology seem to be a bit dead currently but they might be the exact place people are looking for.
