TripView’s UI and user experience is pretty confusing tbh. The fact you need to create and save a trip before seeing the next train to somewhere, and it doesn’t do walking, the pain just adds up.
Check out Opal Travel on the App Store- it seems much faster to use and less cluttered

I’ve converted a bunch of my die hard TripView colleagues over to it
There is an official Opal app by TransportNSW, which also gives you the price for the trip as well. It has a trip planner, I just tell it to use my current location and type where I want to go.

Pretty foolproof. No ads as well.
I guess I'll add the first one to this list. :) The Opal Travel app (Play Store link) used by NSW travellers in Australia is not compatible on a rooted device.
However, it is usable if root is hidden from it using Magisk on a stock ROM. I haven't had any luck on hiding root from apps on custom ROMs using Magisk.
Once we have a nice list going, we can put it in as a wiki page or a Google sheets spreadsheet.
There;s a free version and a pay version which is only $4.89

The paid version is much better as it remembers all your trips and destinations. Otherwise you have to enter them each time you open the app, on the free app, if i recall correctly

it's one of only 2 apps I've paid for and its great

The Opal app by Transport NSW (our state govt transport boy is also good and you don't need to know how you want to get places. You just tell it where you want to go and where you are (usually it knows via your location) and it tells you what public transport to use to get there.
It and Trip View are the only travel apps you need in Sydney
