You should use another email app for your school email. Where I work we have the same thing and I'm running the Outlook Web App which will allow you to run without administrator privileges and just have a pin code lock within the app.
If it is Exchange/365 you can look into using a 3rd party app. It doesn't give them such a foothold into your phone then. OWA for Android is one. Another that I have used is Touchdown, but that one costs $20.
Our work wants us to install some BS on our phones that can remote wipe and stuff if we want to use Outlook to get work email on our phones.... Best way around it is to install an app from the app store that points to the web app... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.exchange.mowa&hl=en
This Maps Go reminds me very much of that!
There's also the OWA app as opposed to the Outlook App, I personally have had more success with the Outlook app but bot are acceptable.
On my Android, I found that the OWA app works better with my O365 email account then the native email client. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.exchange.mowa&hl=en
Try Microsoft's OWA for Android app. The screenshots look pretty much exactly like the iOS screenshot you posted.
It all depends on the users needs. We're a O365 shop so I do the following:
If they just need to look at mail occasionally: OWA app (Android/iOS). OWA handles only one account so it's pretty simple to understand.
If they need more features: Outlook (Android/iOS). Outlook handles just about any mail account, plus uses the more advanced features so it's great for the powerusers.
Try this:
