I haven't played 8-bit farm, but there is also Pocket Harvest from the same people that might be more growing/harvesting. There's a free demo that lets you play for a around a year of in game time, if you want to see if it's anything to your liking. The demo says it has ads, but the full game wouldn't have any ads or IAP.
A lot of the older Kairosoft games have somewhat similar gameplay wth a different theme. Most of them have it where you have around 15 years of in game time to make the best ___ that you can. In Game Dev Story, it's best game company. In Dungeon Village, it's best town. Pocket Harvest is probably along the same thing where you have some sort of fairly lengthy time period to make the best farm. After that time period you get a point score and can replay - sometimes keeping things from your previous game - and try to do better.
These types of Kairosoft games might have missions and stuff, but they don't really have interactive dungeons. Even in a game like Dungeon Village - that literally has dungeon in the name - the dungeon quests weren't interactive. You'd just select heroes and they'd do the dungeon combat automatically.
The RPG elements in most of the Kairosoft games are going to be related to things like leveling up or improving certain characters, finding/buying/equipping items (if the games have items), unlocking improvements, finding or recruiting new characters, and other stuff like that. All of this is on the RPG-lite side of things. The games tend more to the sim/manager/tycoon side of things.
Anyway, check out the free demo. It will give you a small glimpse of the game play and style of the game.
Also there is 8-bit farm but I'm not sure which is better, maybe check out /r/kairosoft
