I'm not sure if this is a "text game", but if you're into adventure games, replica is a great piece to try. It involves lots of texts, interactive (and creative like crazy) actions, and puzzles. Multiple endings put more joys as well.
Mirror Layers, a recent horror gamejam entry where you use collaboration to trade files, which when exported/imported into the game, can help you solve puzzles.
Replica has you playing as a convicted CIA asset who is forced to use a teenager's cellphone in order to uncover a terrorist plot. You will be playing the game as if you're using the cellphone itself.
EDIT: Wrong Replica :P
This is a pretty niche genre in itself. I know of Dear Clarie and Metanoia but they're both just communication-based pseudoapps and doesn't give you the ability to tinker on their phone. Dear Clarie lets you watch videos and play audio, as well as inspect images but the decision choices are all linear and 2-way-but-not-really.
There's also Replica, which has amazingly in-depth interaction on a fake phone, more than Sara Is Missing. But it is not a horror game but a thriller.
This Replica btw. There are two of them.
