Just tell him what you want. He's legal, right? Expect to be ignored or rejected, but you can always try. For what it's worth, I won't think of older guys messaging me that they're total pervs; at most I'm a little puzzled why they even try with me as my cutoff age is much younger.
Are you using hookup apps, even if you're not so much looking for sex? Whatever you think of them, they allow you to cast a wide net, and some of them have profiles where people list their age requirements.
Just because some or even many young guys are not interested, does not mean no one is. I've seen guys younger than me for whom I'm too young. I'm late twenties.
