I use this app to track my runs. They have running programs in it, amongst them is a HIIT program.
I haven't done the program on there, but basicly what you can do when running HIIT ist just put down arbitrary items (water bottle/shoes/jackets) at the distances you should run and run from one to the next in the time allotted for it. Don't be fooled, it seems really easy at first, but will get taxing quite fast.
I should do one HIIT day a week again I think.

I just click start run and end run when i finish, shows me my distance, time and average pace. Only con in my opinion is ads.
