What is Reddit's opinion of Shopping list?

As others said, the stores don't want that. But shopping apps do a pretty good job of this. I have one (Shopping List, if you care) where I predefined the categories by aisles of my usual grocery store in the order I shop (i.e. produce at the top, then Meat, bread, pasta, soups, etc, dairy and frozen last). The items are checked by default, so I uncheck the ones I need, then check off the list as I go.

An app could take it further, actually map out each store by aisle, but that would probably require a lot of customer input. Plus stores change stuff around. But still, we have the technology.
