I saw this posted on /r/railroading the other day and seeing this now made me remember and doing a little looking for you all. From outside looking in, you guys just need to be able to use the function keys (F1-F12) correct? Reading the reviews for the app lately, yeah.. the guy is cashing in on monthly sub money claiming he needs Ads + the price a month. Seeing as this seems to be a fellow brother to you all, it looks like he sold you all out.

Give this a whirl. This be a keyboard instead of a browser. Much like Samsung Keyboard, GBoard, etc etc. You can change these on the fly once installed by clicking the 'keyboard looking icon'. Meaning you can switch from your usual keyboard, to this for when needed, and then back.
Let me know if this is any help
Or optionally if on desktop and feeling adventurous might use an alternative character key shortcut to take the 'official' route and use an actual "m" dash or "n" dash instead, as so …

[I'm actually on mobile—Android—using the NextApp Technical Keyboard. There are other 3rd party apps offering full function touch keyboards for mobile as well – they're often named some variation of "hacker's" or "coder's" keyboard.]
Not sure if this would be the app for you but I use Technical Keyboard
What platform are you on? iOS or Android?
If the latter, then download this keyboard
You them want to hit fn and use the select button when your cursor is at the top if the bullets you want to make todo's. Hit the arrow down and it will highlight text incrementally until it reaches the bottom, then once more will select the whole block, then long press when it looks like this and hit 'make todos'.
Bonus: you can use all keyboard shortcuts from desktop using this keyboard and quickly navigate bullets also.
Text input is a bit more sluggish than gboard which I use normally, so I'll mostly switch between the two keyboards depending on if editing or more longform typing.

While keeping an eye on AnySoftKeyboard and Hackers Keyboard.
