I think the option you mentioned (Parsec with Paperspace) is pretty good, that's the one I am currently using as well: I used the P4000 model ($5 for 50GB storage + $0.40/h) with the Parsec public template when setting up the machine
If you want to give it a try you can use a referral code. Mine is 2RK9SIM if you want to use it (Sign-up link with referral)
It looks to be the app linked below. The APK linked in the YouTube video is not correct (Links to APK from real estate company). From the Google Play Store link you can find the company that makes the app, which appears to be a Chinese company. I would say the servers are probably in China and have terrible latency. The reviews are a little sketchy, so I personally would not use the service/app.

Amazon EC2 has servers in Singapore, but those are generic servers and will take a bit of effort on your part to set up and use. Check the sidebar for EC2 guides.
g4dn.xlarge spot pricing at the time of this post is $0.1578 per hour. You can see the current spot pricing rates for all instances here: https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/spot/pricing/.
Disclosure: I don't actually use AWS that much, I have my cloud rig on GCP.
Thanks for the info, with Azure you could try some of the other setups like NcasT4 V3 / NC4AS_T although I think thats the same as AWS G4DN, in saying that, AWS gd4n.2x large https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/g4/ didn't really break a sweat with anything I threw at it.
Be good to hear other people's opinions on what is currently the best cloud platform AWS/Google/Azure and the best setup for gaming.
I've been experimenting with a virtual second monitor on Shadow using spacedesk (https://www.spacedesk.net) as well as a USB HDMI adapter + dummy. The only SW that seems to be able to stream multiple monitors is Steam IHS. I have only used it with one monitor on the client, but it did show the extended desktop on both screens when moving the mouse back and forth. The problem is that if your server is outside of the LAN, this only works with the Steam Link HW or the Android / RPi app, none of which offers connectors for multiple monitors afaik. A possible solution is to use a client device for each monitor, one running Parsec and the other Steam. This is a bit wasteful and cumbersome, but might still beat your current solution.
It isn't one of the cheapest options available, I think a provider like Shadow makes more sense due to it's fixed price.
Paperspace divides their fee into 2 things:
Mine for example uses a Quadro P5000, for which they charge $0.78/month. They do not do any upwards rounding to the next hour or anything like that. If your machine is turned of for 3 minutes, you will be charged for those 3 minutes at the end of the month, not for an hour or something.
So, for example, what I'll have to pay when the month ends: Storage: $10 Playtime: 5.62 hours. This totals $4.38. So in total I'll have to pay $14.38 at the end of this month. It might be better explained on their website.
It was discontinued. You can make a similar setup by creating an account directly on https://www.paperspace.com/ and manage your machine through their control panel. Parsec used to automate this process through the Parsec GUI.
> Will I be exposing myself / my friends to greater security risks by using such services? If yes, how can I reduce these risks / better secure my laptop?
The host will be more exposed. If you trust the apps work as expected then closing the app on the host when not in use should do it. Otherwise you can firewall it off. I like TinyWall but there are plenty of options.
The dummy hdmi plug is for the lack of monitor.
Setup steps will be:
- On PC install Geforce Experience -> Enable game stream. Add mstsc.exe for desktop streaming. Install Moonlight on laptop. ( Moonlight Game Streaming: Play Your PC Games Remotely (moonlight-stream.org) )
- Pairing Moonlight client (on your laptop) with PC ( Geforce server).
- Test Moonlight. Quit.
- Enable windows Auto login -> restart. Confirm PC auto login. Disable hibernate/standby. Enable mouse key. Unplug keyboard, mouse. (Check google for those steps: autologin, mouse key)
- Test Moonlight again. Quit.
- Unplug borrowed monitor. Plug-in dummy headless HDMI adapter. ( Amazon.com : hdmi headless adapter )
- Test Moonlight again. Try restart PC remotely. Wait for windows boot back. Re-test Moonlight.
It's not that hard. Just follow the guides.

Try using native Shadow streamer to test if it is Steam client bug (not IHS or Steam Link App)
Removing VPN from the equation could help, both Valve and Blade recommend not using VPN
For science, you could set up PC client so that Steam is speaking client to client directly by installing steam client and shadow app on shadow client PC. If games are running in windowed mode like that, you could then use Steam Link App to stream over local network therfor removing any need for VPN. Though admit having two clients is overkill, but maybe a headless local server for steam client could be used to remove the need for VPN and let you use Shield TV without Shadow app to use Shadow VM. Have to admit, have never tested the headless shadow client option, ~~and suspect ShadowInput will freak out.~~
Have tested with shadow PC client and Steam Link App hooked up to same display, worked amazingly well.
https://www.reddit.com/r/cloudygamer/comments/a43xbx/how_to_use_shadow_galahad_on_android_client/
That is how to use Shadow vm with "unified client" on Shield TV, lol.
I use parsec on my Android TV (nVidia Shield TV), so parsec definitely has a TV version of their app (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tv.parsec.client). Maybe try to install it from the browser remotely instead of the TV itself?
As for controllers, I only use the XB1 controller, not sure on other controllers to recommend, but I think if your TV support bluetooth any standard controller should work.
Depends. Some models of the p20 lite only have bgn wireless.
https://www.gsmarena.com/huawei_p20_lite-9098.php
But assuming the device has both ac wireless and supports hdmi over type c then a portable monitor is a good choice.
either a wireless controller that connects via a 2.4gz USB receiver or a Bluetooth controller that connects to a USB adaptor like this one from 8bitdo. I have an Xbox controller that connects via Bluetooth to the 8bitdo adaptor and gets vibration. I also have a controller that connects via a 2.4gz USB receiver that also vibrates.
so my use case is rocket league with buddies on the couch. i dont do it often but, as you might guess, the latency has to be as perfect as possible..
i have tried with steam link, the laptop of my girlfriend and my laptop .. neither worked good enough. so i started reading up on h265 and hardware decoding and which cpus support it. i have ended up getting this: https://smile.amazon.de/gp/product/B09JSNRYWD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
and finally, the latency is good enough and it is really enjoyable. hope this helps.
I bought a dummy plug for my old gaming PC so I could run it headless and it works great. Parsec has a good How-To about how to get it working either by buying this HDMI dongle to mimic a display or by installing their virtual display driver (not sure if that works with moonlight, though).
I ended up buying the dongle they recommend (for ~$10) and it work great for 4K@60 Hz and 1080p@120 Hz.
Exactly, it simply allows for a customizable touch overlay when game streaming with parsec or any other streaming service.

That’s the only thing you need. That single plugs into your mobo’s USB headed and connects to your PSU as well. Then you sync it to your Wi-Fi and use eWeLink app to shut down, and turn on (from a complete shut down state) your PC across the internet.
All this Wake-on-LAN bullshit is highly unreliable. Don’t worry about it. Get that dongle and live a happy life.
Cheapest option - Buy a “Chromecast with Google TV” (not the OLD Chromecast). Install PSPlay: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=psplay.grill.com&hl=en_US&gl=US (People seem to like it better than the official app, and it has Android TV support natively.). Or look for a used PS4 on eBay. Or buy an Nvidia Shield TV if you want the best Android-based experience. First option is < $100. Used PS4 or Shield TV ~ $200.
if the tv don't have bluetooth, this might work.
NordVPN has switched their overlay VPN to wireguard, thus they inherit this capability.

As others implied, there are many other technologies to skin this cat, here's another one with a write up related to gaming - _on_the_go_host_your_zerotust_solution_and/
The only one I found is this one but I can't judge on the quality, which actually seems really poor. I'm gonna buy and and return it if it's trash. I hope it's compatible with GFN.
Interestingly, most are out of stock.
Okie dokie, that makes sense - when I referred to a node, I was referring to these - no idea if that's the correct term for them, but looks to fit the 3 pack description.
Ah that's okay, I'm using Moonlight anyway which is quite a different use case comapred to xcloud - but thanks, looking into mesh systems now!
I'm no expert here but I'm pretty sure Moonlight lets you connect normally as well. Inside the Nvidia shield settings you have to add the RDP "mtsc" executable as an application. Then, when you load that application in Moonlight, Nvidia is smart enough to realise it's RDP and just shares the entire screen (I believe without actually using the RDP protocol).
The downside to this is I believe for Nvidia shield to be running you have to have already logged in as a user already.
Other options (which aren't really optimised for games) could be Chrome Desktop or creating an Apache Guacamole server. The latter lets you connect via a web browser which is cool but in my experience when you use RDP the Graphics Card doesn't always get utilised so they're not great for games. I think you have to do a bit of tweaking with Group Policies to make it work (if it's definitely possible).
Another option you could potentially try is buying a dummy HDMI and plugging it in as a second screen, setting that one was 1080p? I am not sure if you can specify to Parsec what monitor to use though.
Also, you can extend HDMI with ethernet cable, with a very long range. https://www.amazon.com/Orei-Extender-UltraHD-Single-Control/dp/B07RC4JTS4/ref=sr_1_10?keywords=hdmi%2Bover%2Bethernet&qid=1654024848&sr=8-10&th=1
Try an app called "Wakelock", enable the high performance mode. If that doesn't help, try turning off Bluetooth on your phone. If it helps, that means you've got 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi interference, and you should switch to 5Ghz. If that doesn't help, and you are on 5Ghz, change channel width of your 5Ghz network to 40Mhz, if you'll still have issues, then 20Mhz. It lowers your Wi-Fi speed, but increases stability.
Those helped for me with my crappy Samsung S10e, also not covering it with hands, because covering the Wi-Fi antennas would cause serious issues.
I am glad it worked out in the end. The problem you described seems to be the same exact experience when I was gaming on laptops (used to have a msi GS65).
What I did back then was to prob up the laptop at an angle so it can better cooled itself using something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B089LZJ9DN/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_F3C4PNJ0ET4Y7K9ZCKSW
And used DDU to reinstall the driver.
Happy Gaming!
No problem. Here is a link to the one I use. They sell a version with USB passthrough for a controller and peripherals as well. I just use a seperate cheap extender for the usb myself.

Windows on HDD is just incredibly slow, haha. I would NOT recommend it at all. It's more for Linux containers for long-term multi-terabyte storage. While burst speeds can top 1 GB/s due to the storage being done as a cluster, it's more of an issue with disk latency making random read/writes painfully slow, which makes running a complex operating system like Windows run quite slowly. Deployment also takes ages, though we might fix that someday. Normal NVMe-based storage takes as little as 45 seconds to deploy, and only another 2 minutes to boot up.
To be honest, you can probably just use RDP if you're just going to be doing some simple stuff on Android. Just use this app.
I used a HDMI emulator / dummy plug when I was doing this back in the day. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B01EK05WTY/ is the one that I used and it gives you a virtual monitor that steam link/moonlight/whatever can have running 1080/120hz or 4k/60 so you can stream in high quality. No regrets on mine, I just stopped using it because I bought an inexpensive HDMI fiber optic cable on Amazon and ran my PC straight to the living room TV.
> Thank you - that's very helpful! Ultra low latency isn't necessarily what I'd want to achieve with streaming; it'll be used to play more chill games like Stellaris or XCom 2 (for example). I'd go to my actual computer for anything latency sensitive like esports or action titles.
In that case literally any wifi is going to be good enough.
I have an Asus Rapture. I honestly don't recommend it. It works great and does everything it says it does, but it's way overpriced. I got mine cheap as part of a lot auction, but absolutely do not pay $500 for this (or any) router.
I have a card that looks exactly like this one and has the same features: https://www.amazon.com/AX210-Expands-Bluetooth-Tri-Band-Windows10/dp/B08MJLPZPL
I'm not sure if maybe it's an OEM card that's sold under different names. It works great. I was able to just use the existing antenna hookups in my Asus G14.

In the US East region, the g4dn.xlarge instances are currently going for $0.71 per hour. If you run 8 machines for 4 hours, you'd pay roughly $23 plus a small amount for the storage and bandwidth ($0.09 per TB out of EC2).

Hi. I think I've set up mine properly to do it. I'll share the task file for you:
https://hastebin.com/culusequba.xml
Copy all, save as an xml and import in task scheduler.
This task supposes that you've used the normal Parsec installer, and your parsecd.exe is located at C:\Program Files\Parsec\parsecd.exe
As my system's in Portuguese, I'm not sure whether the user account that loads the task will be set correctly. If the user or group isn't NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, click in Change User or Group, type "system" in the white box and then click in "Verify Names".
One thing that's not quite right is that whenever I log in, there's two instances of Parsec. Right click both and make sure the "Run when my computer starts" is unchecked
If done correctly, whenever you computer starts and is online, you'll be able to connect to it, log in and off, use UAC prompts, manage stuff running as admin etc
Check out paperspace. I cannot comment to how well it works for 3D rendering and have only been using it for a short time for gaming, but it is worked well and competitively priced (compared to Azure). The GPU options take a day or 2 to get unlocked for you, but not as long as waiting months for shadow.tech. You might also want to look at azure. There are more config options on Azure to reduce your price (check spot pricing options).
The easiest option is Steam Link. Steam will figure out routing whether you’re playing from within your network or remotely.
I’ve had a lot of success with using Moonlight as well. https://moonlight-stream.org/. There is a setup guide at the bottom that will walk you through how to use this. Caveat is that it will only work if you have an Nvidia graphics card.
The other option that has worked well for me is Parsec (https://parsec.app/). They focus on Remote Desktop solution, but it’s optimized for real time applications. They started as a solution for allowing people to play co-op pc games that did not have remote capabilities by allowing you to invite your friend to connect to your computer through Parsec. Since then, they’ve grown to support options for businesses and personal use cases. The only caveat is that they don’t support iOS yet. If you have an android phone or plan on playing from a laptop, though, this would be a great choice.

I use a ~15 ft or so USB extension cable connected to a hub mounted in my basement ceiling. I have my Xbox one wireless dongle, and my Logitech mice receivers. My devices are actually accessible for both my living room and basement theater room which is nice.
I use a Logitech K830 which is illuminated which is important for me as I play in the dark. I also use a Logitech light sync mouse I believe it's called. I'll play fps games and other games like horizon zero dawn with this setup. For my living room for general browsing I use the k400 plus which is cheaper.
You could maybe buy an hdmi audio splitter ? You take the input of the shield and put the video output to the tv and sound output to the receiver ? Here’s an exemple of such a device : link to Amazon product
(Never tried this solution)

Anything with good battery life is going to be heavier, the weight:capacity ratio of lithium batteries is mostly uniform for compact devices. If you mount a device you can even connect portable battery packs without increasing the weight on your hands.
I'll be honest, I don't know jack about port forwarding or anything. I have a NordVPN subscription, I have also tried doing what lordboos mentioned in another comment and so far I only managed to activate UPNP but the public IP is a paid service that's actually advertised as some sort of VPN with options of static and dynamic IP, I don't understand it. Is there some sort of guide that could help me? I'm lost at this point lol
I'm a bit confused here... Are you looking for a gaming launcher to download games and run them locally? In that case I'd suggest GOG or Steam.
If you're looking for cloud gaming services, then the whole point is that you don't have to download games: they run on a distant server and get streamed to you directly.
Or maybe you want to have a shortcut to a cloud gaming service installed so you can launch it easily? In that case I'd suggest installing Stadia as a PWA (go the https://stadia.com connect and then in your browser's menu—usually represented as 3 dots—you'll get an "Install Stadia" option... Or even simpler: individual game shortcuts are available at https://stadiaicons.web.app (full disclosure, I made the site).
Microsoft recently came out with their Windows 365 Cloud PC but it's currently only available to business users. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-365
I am personally hoping that at some point they will make it widely available to consumers with gaming level specs. It would make sense for them to offer it along with their current cloud gaming offering or as part of their Microsoft 365 subscriptions (of which I am a subscriber).
I don't think Amazon Luna or Google Stadia are available in that region. I've found a few forum posts that say Geforce Now also is unavailable. You might try something like Shadow (https://shadow.tech/), but I'm not 100% that works from Hong Kong, either.
https://shadow.tech I used to have it and was great. At the time, it was $15/month. They went bankrupt several months back and their buyers doubled the price. Ever since, the service has gone downhill. Service interruptions, mainly. Hardware is also showing its age, hasn’t been upgraded in about 7 years from what I’ve been told. I wouldn’t recommend them currently until everything smooths over, if it ever does.
WordPress's issue was that they were advertising the WordPress.com subscription options, wasn't it? I haven't followed that one heavily so not certain.
Rainway and Shadow don't sell anything from the clients (and Shadow subscriptions take like 6+ months to become approved now so don't think they'd attempt to sell subs directly from the client anyway). You basically have to use the clients to get in, get into Steam/Epic/Battle.Net/etc. and buy from there.
Personally speaking, I think this is my last "run" with Apple hardware. Older times it was annoying being unable to buy music off Play Music and Amazon MP3 w/o going into the browser first whereas it was right there on Android. The thing that got me to return was the privacy features, but honestly, I don't even know if Apple's privacy features are worth the rest of the headache. Still miffed with the forced Metal Only Driver requirement that came out in a recent macOS release about 5-6 months after I bought my MBP because I could eGPU my GTX 1080 killing that on the Mac side. Make Metal Only the default and allow me to change a flag in terminal, that's fine, but killing it outright? Forget that.
The actual model it's not in sale anymore. In mine the magnet was glued into your car. But this is similar, same brand, different attachment. Just cut the hole in the magnet and paper sand it until it's flat in the back.

The magnet fits perfectly. Just glue it with some glue o 3M esticker. Maybe you need to remove the silicon in the holder to be able to glue. Then cut the little spikes since they are taller then the magnet.
A lot of People recommended this:
https://www.amazon.de/Lindy-32115-Interface-Gender-Adapter-schwarz/dp/B07FMT5RNS
I havent tried it yet but it copies the signal of your monitor and clones it into its hardware. So if you plug your monitor in with 4k 120 hertz the stick should clone it and if you remove your monitor the stick acts as if it is the monitor. Only works with hdmi though and i dont know what hdmi is capable of with 4k and high refresh rates.
Maybe this will help you.
I accidently write description, yup.
First of all, this is my internet speed. I know Xcloud is not supported in Malaysia but I know with VPN it can be playable. I'll be using free ProtonVPN unless somebody wanna share their NordVPN subscribtion w/ me. I dont mind delay that much. This is my internet speed. I want to play Doom but my i3 7020u cant handle it. 1920x1080@60Hz, even tried with a lower resolution and refresh rate - still blank screen.
I'm unaware of any solution you can execute locally to solve the problem. Perhaps someone else has something. But what I would recommend in the future, is that if you'll be away for an extended period, disconnect your display and use a dummy display adapter. They are cheap, and always on, and won't really cost you any power. This has been my solution for similar situations and it's worked quite well.

Good luck.
I have the solution for you. Cheap and effective. Few years ago I was able to use Parsec on a Raspberry Pi 3 , you can buy one for less than 100CAD.

There are ethernet KVMs to solve the input problem but I haven't been able to find anyone who tested them for gaming (e.g. is the latency acceptable?)

The Nvidia games app should also work fine, but allows for less control over the stream.
The steps should be 1. Install Quadro Experience 2. Enable NVstream 3. Either get a static IP from Paperspace console or use https://github.com/moonlight-stream/Internet-Hosting-Tool 4. Install Moonlight on your shield and set up to use with your PC
You’re basically looking for a library style format of all your installed games..you can also just use steam remote play..all non steam games you have just add them into the your desktop as a non steam game..
You can actually access gfns desktop through some scripts but they try to block that
Windowed Fullscreen will cause v-sync which can increase latency -- exclusive mode usually has much better encoding (at least for our solution).
I however did make a tool to force games into windowed fullscreen which you can get here.
I'm in exactly the same boat here. Performance is really bad even for playing something offline like Witcher 3. My ping to the Paperspace Amsterdam machine is around ~70ms, not much packet loss though. I've fiddled with the Parsec config client/server side quite a bit, though I can't say it has improved the performance in any noticeable way.
I'm new to cloud gaming rigging, however a simple calculation of 1080p 60fps frame rate as advertised by Parsec even here implies a ping no more than ~17ms(1000msec/60), so am I right to assume that unless we get a ping in that ball-park, we are mislead in assuming a decent gameplay like that? I'm pretty sure Parsec drops lots of the quality along the way if the latency is not good enough, that's why they also state in a lot of their help pages that 50mbps bandwidth should be enough, since the throughput is important up to that point, the rest is latency.
So unless you have a machine closer to you, I'm not sure how this can be improved, I even tried the Hetzner EX51-SSD-GPU much powerful hardware, however, that one is even farther away from me, thus a ~90ms packet RTT.

I wonder if the G4's single core performance is too awful.
According to https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/instance-types/#instance-details the G4 has a 2.5 GHz CPU.
According to https://support.rockstargames.com/articles/360037044893/Red-Dead-Redemption-2-PC-System-Requirements the weakest CPU they recommend is the FX-6300 and that's 3.5 GHz base and 4.1 GHz turbo.
I would open the task manager when you're playing and see what's struggling. The CPU? The GPU? Both?
You could also try EC2 Spot Blocks, which can be 20-50% cheaper. They can be reserved for up to 6 hours at a time as well-- which is generally a less well-known option.

I'll check tomorrow my bill for details, but less than $1 per hour using Spot Instances (https://aws.amazon.com/ec2/spot/). That's the best deal for me as I don't play much, if you play more, Shadow might be cheaper on the long run.
ParSec on AWS is a bit DIY now, but if you're used to work with cloud providers that's totally alright (https://github.com/jamesstringerparsec/Parsec-Cloud-Preparation-Tool/blob/master/Readme.md) Shadow is more "mass market friendly" than AWS + ParSec. And you can easily use ParSec software on a shadow machine if you don't like their client (I heard)
I really like using the Controller Companion app when streaming. It has all the features you would need from a mouse + keyboard, and turns itself off when launching a full-screen game (start+back manually), very handy.
What you're looking for is a software or virtual KVM. Check out Synergy or some of these other alternatives.
We've had good success with Splashtop. It's even able to stream video, especially over internal networks.
The downside is we think they charge a nominal fee for the iPhone/iPad app (not sure about Android).
Would depend on what plan you use.. I haven't done anything on paperspace in years. Check their website for pricing and specs, but I remember it being one of the more affordable options.
This invite link should give you $10 to play around with. I don't think you need to make a purchase to get it, but idk tbh. I haven't used it in a long time lol console.paperspace.com/signup?R=uo56wp

This is Paperspace's DIY-setup for a cloud gaming server, using Parsec: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sU0mK82ZN8&feature=emb_title
You can find more info here: https://www.paperspace.com/gaming
I just did it three weeks ago and it's really great for my needs. I have half giga-bit internet, wired, and it works well for my partner who doesn't have a gaming rig. They use it on their Macbook Air and it works really well. We tried wireless and it was fine, but there was more input lag than wired, which is to be expected.
The one thing that struck me about Paperspace was how easy the setup was. I mean, it really is as simple as the video made it look, at least for me.
The game I've spent the most time testing it on is Overwatch on ultra graphics, 60 fps solid. Great performance and I would recommend it if you have stable internet.
Do you know where to sign up for that? There's this page that talks about that but I don't get how the setup works. Do I just sign up for a free account with usage based billing and then I can pick the Parsec preset that will spin that up? If so, that's probably what I'm looking for.
Hi there! Was playing right yesterday on my Paperspace instance. Yes, you can do this with that setup:- paperspace- virtual desktop streamer- oculus quest/go (anything, that can run virtual desktop)
Yes, you can play, but why?) If you don't have vr ready pc but REALLY want to try, it's good starting point. Also even if you won't like it, it cost not much - 7$ for storage/month (even if you will play 1 hour, and 0.51 per hour.
I play from Russia/Moscow and my Paperspace instance is in Amsterdam. network connection is nearly 100mb/s, and even with such specs vr experience is a bit laggy. Framerate is ok, but input lag is ~1-2 seconds :( It's really noticeable in vr. Though, not vr games runs nearly 60fps :)
Also, mention that playing with something different than virtual desktop is hard. Because ALVR or RiftCat need to be in one network with PC, so you'll need to setup VPN connection between your Oculus and Paperspace instance.
At last if you want to try things out, you can take my promo link, and you should get 10$ for your experiments C:
https://www.paperspace.com/account/signup?R=1MBQUFD
If you have any questions about my setup, just ask :)
Yes try paperspace. If you use my link we both get free credit.
But in my experience I got better performance out of the parsec AWS instance with Star citizen, in my eyes quite the demanding game.

No. Not from Parsec client. Can you log into https://www.paperspace.com/console/machines in web browser?
AFAIK a paperspace vm is still a paperspace vm regardless of which template was used when creating paperspace vm so you should still be able too use paperspace.com too access your paperspace vm. Your Parsec account and Paperspace account details should not be the same AFAIK.
PaperSpace purposes the best service with a great support/assistance. It is more powerful and less expensive than AWS, GCP, Azure and other cloud gaming service.
I personally use it with a raspberry pi + Nvidia Moonlight for gaming or vfx and it is fluid and fast.
An instance with 30Gb of RAM + Nvidia Quadro P4000/M4000 costs : $0.40 / hr
If you want to try for free use this promo code, you'll receive 10$ : 3LIFSM or click here
Tesla M60 is a GPU Accelerator which powers 8 virtual instances ( need to double check on that but this where the -8Q comes from in nvidia control panel or steam system report/big picture system settings)
NV Switch can connect several Tesla GPU Accelerators to provide more virtual instances from one server stack
GRID is nvidias virtualization platform
Just trying to expand on what you were saying in video but am no expert myself and admit I am not very good at describing things accurately because I do not understand the technicalities well enough to describe simply.
GRID is what basically makes cloud gaming giving equivalent to gtx 1080 gaming experience delivered from the cloud in 2018
I can see how the rise of vGPUs, GPU Containers and Tesla GPU Accelerators means GTX is fast reaching retirement and EOL
vGPUs will soon be confirmed which far exceed any desktop GPUs capabilities
Every single Nvidia development roadmap is need of updating and am sure Nvidia are going to cause a few jaws too drop in a!aze!ent when they do.
I predict vGPUs are going to be confirmed as far exceeding any desktop gpu that is available in 2018
Tegra GPUs and Tesla GPU Acceleratorss together with vGPUs in the cloud means there is no need for GeForce GTX cards to exist.
We know Volta arch and "post Volta" Tegra GPUs already exist, Volta arch Tesla GPU Accelerators exist and Volta vGPUs exist already in 2018.
https://www.paperspace.com/volta-gpu
These make pascal gtx 1080s outdated and feeble in 2018.
But all this is really speculation and just my opinion.
One thing for sure is GRID is the best thing that ever happened and is what made cloud gaming not just possible but a very real alternative to paying $1000 for a GTX 1080 ti
When I shared similar info in nvidia subreddit, ehm it was not appreciated at all!
Nope its not just a trial. In my opinion trial had even better quality than paid PRO sub 😃 I paid for monthly sub. 19,99$/month with 5000 credits. Then you can choose before every machine start from 2 options. Gamer (1cr/1min) or PRO (2cr/1min). I tried both, tried different settings, tried parsec, contacted support and nothing helped. And the worst thing about it is you can't even ask for a refund! Even if you played less then 1 hour. They said its because they have a demo to try before pay.
Now I'm using Paperspace + Parsec and I really can't complain! Quality is perfect, client is perfect, support is perfect... forgot about Liquidsky and try Paperspace ;) If you want a free 10$ to try it out and you appreciate my advice, you can use this code to register ;) https://www.paperspace.com/&R=NOOFLI
Hope I helped.
It is a cloud service where you essentially get real hardware in the cloud. When you use it, it feels and acts like a real computer. The internet connection will appear faster than most home internet speeds, since you are seeing the screen while the computer is in the data center.
The bandwidth requirements are not high, but it is recommended to ensure you are on 5ghz WiFi or an Ethernet connection to your router for the best experience.
Joy pads and other input devices all work as expected. They are even working on bringing VR headset support.
Their site is here: https://shadow.tech/usen/ and if you click Discover at the top, you can see many of the highlights that make it unique.
What I like about it is that it gives you a full Windows 10 PC that you can access from anything, versus a service where you only access the games.
You're paying for access to part of a server on the terms for which shadow state.
You're not paying for dedicated access to some hardware that is online 24/7.
When you run the shadow client it turns on the VM and when you close the shadow client it shuts down the VM.

If you read their ToS, it has a list of forbidden actions. Including "mining cryptocurrencies or using Shadow's® computing power to break encryption keys"
I currently use my Shadow.tech cloud based PC. It has all the power for gaming you could ever need. It's setup and ready to run windows 10 in about 10 minutes. you install the app on your pc, tablet, smartphone. It can run on older computers too. I stream/play for $25 a month. Check it out. https://shadow.tech/usen/discover use my code MARRF3E0 to get $10 off the first month.
I actually have one of these!
I have the atom version from walmart blackfriday last year.
I used it with Shadow.tech just fine(Geforce Now would not run because can only install a 32-Bit windows version on it be mindful of that for yours aswell).
I had to get a USB to ethernet adapter and limit my bitrate to about 15/20mbps, some days if it was too warm I'd have to drop to 720p, other days 1080p was fine.

Whoa now thats "consumer-driven" right of withdrawal or outside of EU?
The right of withdrawal is seriously a godsent on those situations, but I'll suggest you to spam the hell out of their support and read their ToS , stuff em with support tickets, tweet at them... I've never seen such a colossal problem built out of plain unwillingness to help the consumer

I'm making a re-edit with this one and I'll update as soon as i get updates i'll post em
I know the price difference is big in this, but I just cancelled my sub to them EVEN THOUGH I highly recommend [Shadow PC](<strong>https://shadow.tech/</strong>). I used it for about 7 months while my primary gaming PC was dead and it 100% was a great experience. Though they don't include *any* games, I still think it's the best value for cloud gaming.
I tried Vortex (bad performance, no refund), a server rented from Parsec (mediocre price-per-play-time:performance ratio), and a few others and Shadow is the best. I signed up while being outside the official service area and still got great performance and tech support for my $35.
I'd just use Parsec to have a turned down fans, silent PC, maybe even on completely passively cooled pc's in the future. It has to be a stable connection while I still can get some "no vsync" tearing or quality issues if they are short term. Shadow.tech and so on isn't the way to go because I wouldn't use them so much - Maybe parsec is the way to try...
it sounds like you are essentially using your PC as a server / streaming / casting base
I never had much luck with this, but then again , I was at work , juggling calls and having to work around a firewall; YMMV
maybe try looking into Guacamole ( https://guacamole.apache.org/ )
You asked for any programs that can host on macos.
NoMachine should host on MacOS no problem, though I have not tested it myself on that platform (though it's been straightforward to use it on Linux and Windows).
But please be aware that it's not intended for streaming games! Start up Steam using NoMachine and then switch to Steam Remote Play for the game itself.
Parsec runs as a user account and requires the user account to be logged in. You can either barricade the desktop session open via RDP, TeamViewer or TightVNC, or use an autologin to open the user on the host.
I don't recommend teamviewer because it has a terrible reputation of letting computers get pwned; at least according to /r/sysadmin
It was smooth for me and there isn’t an already set-up image for it unfortunately, so using a Linux server isn’t for everyone. You were probably installing Chrome Remote Desktop itself, the Headless one is likely what you need. Just follow the instructions on it through SSH and it should work fine. Use this guide for Google Cloud Platform for more steps including installing a desktop environment, just skip the ones meant for GCP.
I’ve tried Shadow PC before as well and also Paperspace but none were actually usable with the ping lol
Virtualization of GPU's, at least for consumer (gaming and desktop streaming) purposes, would best be accomplished on AMD technology, known as MxGPU (SR-IOV.) This is due to the open source (i.e. free) drivers, as well as it lacking the restrictions and licensing ($$$) requirements found with Nvidia. AMD's cards supporting this are found in the FirePRO line.
Sadly, all isn't sunshine and roses in the AMD world either. The AMD solution brings it's own set of challenges. While it certainly gets you around the terrible licensing and driver restrictions present with NVIDIA's offering, the latest gen GPU technology you'd ideally want in the FirePRO line, costs on average around $3-4K. The affordable cards supporting this GPU virtualization feature are now older (though still capable to allow multi-seat, single host gaming setups).
You could use: https://xcp-ng.org/, mated it with something like the AMD FirePRO 7150 X2 from EBAY for $300-$40 to host a pile of WIN 10 vm's. This could give you a decent multi-headed setup, sharing the GPU (no 1 to 1 mapping like with pass-through), that serves something as simple as raspberry pi's for the client... Clearly I've been chasing the white rabbit for some time. Moral of the story, It's all still very prohibitive still, so depending on use-case, YMMV.
If you read moonlight Documentation they recommend https://www.zerotier.com/ as the VPN software to use as it has better network performance so cant be too bad as they recommend it as the alternative, i personally never have used it i play only locally.
I don't know if Remotr has a pc client. Here are some other solutions that might work for you:
https://airmore.com/mirror-pc-pc.html
I would try the native route if you use windows 10. You'd just be extending your display to your other computer.
Try using moonlight gaming service, its free and works really well for me, whether its local or over the internet. all it requires is a nvidia geforce card, which u have the 2080 ti. Also u can use almost any kind of OS as a client. here is a link: https://moonlight-stream.org/
I prefer the UI of parsec but personally, since i use an android tablet as a client with a physical mouse and the tablet keyboard, with parsec i can't get the right mouse button to work correctly. But no problems with moonlight. also you can customize the quality of the stream depending on how much bandwidth you want/can use.
Also if you want to use Desktop Mode with moonlight, add notepad.exe from the windows folder to geforce experience as a game and then to access the desktop, launch notepad from moonlight and either close it or minimize it (minimize only if closing causes the connection to terminate)
I use Moonlight for this.
You need to have an Nvidia card mind you.
I tried out all the services that were available for game streaming locally to my Android tablet and Moonlight was by far the best in every way.
The error is related to when using the web version of parsec, there isn't documentation on it, let your friend use the native app , should eliminate the problem https://parsec.app/downloads
Everybody is saying Win 7. I suggest you use Chrome OS (which has the Moonlight Client).
I use this for a 11 year old mackbook air: https://www.neverware.com/#intro
It can run moonlight just fine although kind of shitty being that it's an old laptop. But heck it does run !
ChromeOS is super lightweight and basically a web browser, best situation for an old laptop like that.
