stadia.com and stadia.google.com used to just redirect to the Google Store - now it actually has a page. I assume once it launches, if you are signed in with a Google account that has Stadia this is the page that will actually show your Stadia dashboard, etc.
Also, this page is a PWA aka "Installable web app" - so in Chrome you can click the "+" on the far right of the address bar to "install it" - meaning it will show up as an app (at least in Windows and Chromebooks) and have it's own window. (I can see you already know this OP - just saying, for those who don't)
Click to play barely feels like a feature. Like, we already "Click to Play" in our chrome browser with Stadia as is. If people need to sign-up for Pro, what is the point? Just link them to Stadia.com, its the same shit.
I mean... it's free. There's nothing to "get" unless you want to buy the hardware - but that's not a requirement.
Make yourself a google account if you don't already have one, and head on over to https://stadia.com, log in - try it out. You get a whole bunch of games to play with your free trial of Pro, but even if you'd rather not take the trial, you can try out Destiny 2, Superbomberman R and some of the Hitman series completely free.
I tried out the new couch feature in the new olympics game and I think there is some confusion about what it really is.
If you start a game, there is a button that lets you log in another user. If you press that, you get some code. The second player enters that code under stadia.com/couch which causes him to be logged into the already running instance of the game. It doesn't start the game on the browser where the code is entered, it's just meant to let multiple players play couch coop on one device, while each one is logged in to their own accounts and can use their own username, their own customized characters, progress through the game, collect their own achievements, etc.
It has nothing to to with remote play, you can't play a game that you don't own online via couch. Since only one instance of the game is running, it does work with family sharing, though, meaning you can set up tha game for every member of your family group and then play together on one screen, with your own accounts.
Also, in the blog post they wrote, that couch supports four players, but olympic games just supports two player splitscreen, so couch also only works for two players. You can join online games with two local players, though.
That doesn't mean, that the request to add it to existing games is a bad thing, they totally should do that, because it's still a neat feature.
"Starting November 19 at 9 AM PT, everyone on Stadia can play Destiny 2 for free. This play for free version of Destiny 2 begins your legend with a large variety of activities – from cooperative quests to competitive modes, challenging endgame activities, and more. Even if you’re not a Stadia Pro member, you’ll be able to take part in the core Destiny 2 experience."
Looks like it is the main game, no DLC/expansions.
Google might very well end up winning the Cloud-gaming infrastructure Wars, assuming this white label thing actually finds some success, which is not impossible. I can see Stadia becoming a successful gaming-focused Google Cloud Platform-type thing.
But they most definitely are not winning the actual Platform War themselves, with their own gaming platform (stadia.com).
For anyone wondering yes you can stream from the CCU but you can't initiate the stream from the CCU.
Just start the game on the CCU as you normally would, go to stadia.com click live streaming and start the stream the website already knows you are in-game and fills out the required info etc automatic there is no need to start the game within your browser.
If you don't have a computer then you can do the same in chrome on the phone by using desktop mode.
Ah, I'm seeing how the wording is a bit confusing. To clarify, you can adjust the privacy settings for your achievements through the mobile app. You can view your earned achievements at stadia.com or on a TV using Chromecast Ultra.
Edit for further clarification: While achievements are available both on web and your Chromecast Ultra, the additional stats are only available on web.
It's a promo they are doing right now. Prebuy or now buy until December 17th and you get a free Stadia Premier package. Just buy the game through Stadia app and you are set. People are already getting their confirmation emails for the deal. It is while supplies last so if you are going to do it now is the time. Here is a Friend Referral Link for an extra free month of Pro (2 in total with the current 1 month deal). You can just cancel as soon as you subscribe and bot pay a dime you will get free games tied to your subscription (Pro games) along with a bunch of other deals. You can get the deluxe edition of Borderlands 3 with the $10 voucher they give you for like 99 cents. It is an insane value right now.
It's not going to happen without cloud gaming, sorry. Just too demanding of a game, and you'll lose performance running a Windows game, they don't have a Linux version.
Right now Stadia is running a promo where if you buy a $60 game you get a controller and 4k Chromecast for free.
If you want to at least see if Stadia works well for you, here is my referral code that will get you 2 months of Pro for free: https://stadia.com/link/QueueTee_1vBGM
The best way to understand is just to try it really

And still, looking at my present library I have thousands of future hours of yet-to-be-enjoyed gaming in my Stadia backlog and in planned replays. Adding interesting new releases cumulatively, the availability of Stadia entertainment is both sufficient, and sustainably so, for me. What kind of "bulk" do you really need? Do you even finish your games at all?
The real deciding factors here are the ratio of old ports vs. new titles, and whether the old(er) games appear interesting to you. The importance of both of these factors will invariably be improving with time.
Humankind supports Public Party on Stadia so if you want to play multiplayer I'd make a Public Party and wait for someone to Join.
If you don't have Public Party enabled yet you can force it by using this url on Chrome (work on Chrome app on mobile too) https://stadia.com?hl=en .
If you have a PC go to stadia.com and try from your PC.
The best experience for most is with this: https://store.google.com/gb/config/stadia_premiere_edition, which allows you to play on a TV.
>In 2021, we’re expanding our efforts to help game developers and publishers take advantage of our platform technology and deliver games directly to their players.
Focusing on Stadia’s future as a platform, and winding down SG&E (blog.google)
What he is saying here is Google Partners can setup thier own cloud services on their own websites with their own branding and pricing models powered by googles platform technology and Google will work with them to setup that up.
People seem to think Stadia will get more support.... it will not as why would any company who setup their own service pay google for that and then let google sell their games on stadia.com taking a cut of those sales too...
They wouldn't they would be thinking no those gamers can come to our site pay us direct and use our service as thats why we have it..
Yes, look at it this way:
Standard Stadia (formerly known as Stadia Base, but I think that term was tossed out):
Stadia Pro
go to stadia.com, sign in with a google account, hit the play button on Destiny and it will start loading the game full screen via Chrome Browser on Windows/Mac/Linux PC/Laptop/Chromebook/Tablet or the Stadia app on Android Phones (I believe its only Pixels still I could be wrong) or a Chromecast Ultra/Chromecast with Google TV.
You can then play with Keyboard and mouse, plug in a controller via USB from any source (Xbox, PS4, third party) or you can purchase a Stadia controller which connects wirelessly over wifi which you sync to the stadia instance you are currently using via a sync code which is a series of 4 inputs into the controller prompted on the screen. To play on Chromecast you need the Stadia Controller. On PC/Laptop/Chromebook/Mac/Macbook/Android you can plug in any other controller you want via USB.
If you buy a game on Stadia, you pay for it on the Stadia store and its gets added to your library. You click on the play button and once again it loads up full screen and starts playing the game which you then play using your preferred input device.
You can probably get a refund and get the game on Stadia. It runs much better on Stadia from what everyone has said. Stadia is essentially free as you don't need a Pro subscription to use it. Here is a referral link bekow that will get you an extra month of pro on top of the free month they already offer for trying it out. You can cancel immediately after you sign up and not pay a thing. Pro just allows for 4k HDR streams and you can play a list of free games as long as you stay subscribed. If you don't you can still stream 1080p and play unrestricted. Destiny and Bomberman are always free no matter what.
Want to play games with me? Use my link for a 1 month free trial plus an extra free month of Stadia Pro, terms apply: https://stadia.com/link/referrals?si_rid=10167165922536688628&si_rt=1
You don't need to subscribe or pay anything, or download anything. It's literally free, no strings attached.

Or you can wait until December for a full release.

>the GOOGLE slate does not support the GOOGLE stadia app (this makes absolutely no sense to me)...
On all desktop/laptop OSs (and iOS as well), Stadia doesn't run using an app, but a Progressive Web App (PWA). Chrome OS is a desktop/laptop OS, and as such, using the Android app would be sub-optimal.
This is done for many reasons, but mainly because there would be no read advantage to developing a dedicated client VS running it as a PWA, which instead allows them to offer the same experience for people using Stadia through the browser (no need to install anything) as people who wish to have it installed (as a PWA).
To install the PWA, simply go to https://stadia.com and in chrome's "three dots" menu in the top right you'll find an "Install Stadia" button. Click that, and you'll have Stadia installed on your computer. — Or you can simply run it through the website if that works better for you.

One last thing to keep in mind is that some few Chrome extensions can sometimes cause issues with Stadia, but this is quite rare. On the flip-side, I cannot recommend the Stadia Enhanced extension enough: it really adds a ton of options and control to the service!
For the sake of your post and asking others to check, you're right, 4K and HDR are no longer showing up for me (after going to look at Stadia.com through an incognito window). I'm in Texas, for sake of regions.
It's discounted if you claimed Superhot. It's free if you purchased it.
In the meantime, do you like time-bending, slow-mo, action-packed, cinematic FPS ninja-like puzzle challenges? Then play SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete, the long-awaited sequel to the fan favorite hit shooter where time only moves when you do. <em>SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete</em> hits Stadia today. Purchase it in the Stadia store for a limited-time promotional price – $14.99 USD for Stadia Pro subscribers or $17.49 for everyone else (regular price: $24.99). And if you purchased SUPERHOT from the Stadia store before August 18th, you’re eligible for a free copy of SUPERHOT: Mind Control Delete. Just send your receipt to <strong><em>[email protected]</em></strong>, and they’ll hook you up with an activation key. Please note that players who claimed the original SUPERHOT with a Stadia Pro subscription are not eligible for this offer.
I have it, too. It's a little silly, since everyone can access this deal by just going to stadia.com and signing up, but it's just another way that google is spreading the word. They are ramping up advertising. This is great news.
Actually now that I look at it, it seems that the stadia.com address just redirects to the google store website's Stadia section. So it should not mean anything else than that google store is not in Latvia yet, and should not be related to the Stadia service itself.
This is how I mainly play the game. It’s cross play with PC but no add on support so keep that in mind. Also once you buy the game on Stadia you do not have to pay anything. Stadia is free for 1080p/stereo, if you decide you like the service and want the monthly free games and the ability to game at 4K/5.1 audio then you can pay a monthly fee.
Also if you are interested in trying it here is a referral code for 2 months of pro.
In Spain and many other countries Stadia is available but not Ubisoft+ for Stadia, but I have found a way to make it work:
1) Connect a browser VPN allowing Canada (it's a bit cheaper than USA if you only want the first month, if you plan on continuing with the services USA will be cheaper)
2) Log in Ubisoft+ and buy the first month for CAD$1 (if you choose Alberta as your state taxes will only be 5% and total price in euros will be more or less 0,71 €)
3) Once the payment is done, connecto to Ubisoft+ Stadia while VPN is still on and you will be able to link accounts (I already had my accounts linked but when trying to link Ubisoft+ will get an error stating that Ubisoft+ was not available in my country)
4) Just disconnect your VPN and start playing! ( I did it in my Google Chromecast Ultra without VPN without any issues)
Even can continue my Valhalla PS4 game (will play DLCs), but did not work for Watch Dogs Legion as I had to start over.
Stadia is a cloud gaming service; so the game isn't run on your device and instead runs on a server at the nearest Google data center and the video gets streamed to your device. So no, you don't download it to your device.
This means you need a relatively fast connection (15Mbps or more), but more importantly it has to be as stable as possible (more so than for any other sort of use-case) in order to play; but will not need to download anything (the Stadia app is recommended; though you can technically just open https://stadia.com in any chromium browser to play games).
I play Fifa 21 on Stadia and couldn't be happier with the way it plays.
However I would recommend that you try it first for yourself. First of all it cost exactly nothing and secondly your own experience will be better than anyone else's opinion.
This is how you can try:
Then you will really know if it is for you.
By the way Stadia is for free, you do not need to pay any subscription.
There is a PRO sub but that is not necessary. PRO includes: 4K, HDR, 5.1, access to 30 free games and some exclusive discounts.
If you only play Fifa and you do not care about 4K then all you have to spend to play fifa is the cost of your game.
I play it regularly on Stadia. To your point, it’s solid when your internet connection is solid. I play on a Chromecast Ultra with an Ethernet connection. No issues, ever. If playing this game is your goal OP should really consider it. A lot less expensive (and no issues with downloading updates) you lose the ability to run mods but the gameplay is incredible. If you use my referral code you can try Stadia Pro for free for two months. https://stadia.com/link/gitgan_Zaizk
Gonna paste the instructions from the Stadia discord below for getting a 3 month code from Lenovo. This will stack with your 1 month trial and you'll have 4 months of pro for free in total.
https://gleam.io/NmLAI/3-month-free-stadia-trial-run-4-15k
1) Login/Fill out the info 2) Right click or long press the "Claim" button 3) Copy the code after invite_code=. For example https://stadia.com/setup?invite_code=CZLGVBB8AAA9ARHG 4) Navigate to the Stadia settings page on desktop 5) Redeem code side menu item 6) Enter code tada
You will not be able to redeem the code if you've previously claimed a 3 month pro offer
That's useful - tho their notes don't mention this fix.
I also don't personally tend to comb through the websites of every game i own hoping for updates. I'd rather see it in a news feed on Stadia.com and i find that when people share here its far more visible.
Traditional mobile app and CCU seem to be phasing out in favor of Web UI that gives them more robust control...
But at the same time we learned of "Direct Touch" through the mobile app APK leak... so it's a bit confusing what the future of the mobile app will be... I don't think they are phasing it out for Android at least, but they can't have it on Apple so they need the browser option for Apple Mobile.
But don't expect any updates to the CCU experience... they are going to replace that with the CCwGTV. I personally suspect it will be an "app download" which is simply a thin chrome browser that points directly to Stadia.com, and utilize this new browser experience. We will hopefully find out soon!!

That article basically says they are going into the white label business so their partners can start their own streaming services powered by Google Stadia on the backend so for example Ubisoft, Activision, EA etc all running their own xcloud services for $9.99 a month powered by Google Stadia but you access these services from those companies websites and its all branded however they want.
All good business for Google but if this happens and its very clear thats their goal why would these companies bring thier games to stadia.com and devalue their new streaming platforms not to mention paying Google for the white label service then letting Google take 30% of sales that take place on Googles cloud gaming service.
The service is free and with it you get Destiny and Bomberman. There's rumor that they'll add more but nothing is confirmed. You can get the hardware to play on your tv but it isn't required. You'll be playing on the chromebook anyway, so if you have a compatible bluetooth controller, you could use it or just a mouse and keyboard.
The credit card and Gmail is required for a Stadia account but if you choose not to go pro, you don't have to...just stay on the free tier.
If you're new to Stadia you get a free month of pro which also gives you access to a bunch of other free games (pro users get 3 to 4 free games a month and get to keep them as long as they are subscribed). Even if you go free and come back later to join pro, the games you claimed during your free month will still be there. Just be sure to claim them!
I'm not trying to peddle my code, but if you use this link you can get two months of free pro:

I've had Stadia since they launched and it has been great. Not a hardore pc gamer anymore, so it fits my lifestyle and budget. Not even considering a "next gen" console at the moment but who knows.
Stadia should work very well through the Safari webapp on your iPad, try Destiny 2 or Super Bomberman R Online for free, you just need to create an account with this link: https://stadia.com/games/destiny-2 . As far as I know stadia does not recognize a mouse on the webapp on the iPad, but it supports a touch-controlled device that you can test
I agree 100% it needs improving.
> Also i am missing game stats (for example how many hours i was playing
Click your avatar image top right of stadia.com to bring up the menu then click your avatar again to bring up a list of your games and how long you have played each, again this is another example of how bad the UI is.
Free as in, don't spend a penny, and you'll be able to play stuff.
Here use this link and you'll get a free month of stadia pro which includes lots of free games, eg you could be playing Destiny 2 within 5 minutes, without spending a penny: https://stadia.com/link/referrals?si_rid=8272596917986764914&si_rt=1
The GFN vs Stadia thing has been a constant back and forth for me. Overall, I find Stadia to be a smoother experience, and believe it or not, I think the game selection on Stadia is better than GFN (personal opinion alert!).
The thing is that the game I play hands down the most (Elite Dangerous) is only on Geforce Now, and that I do plan on building a gaming PC in the future-- mostly for VR, but it would be nice to be able to take advantage of the gaming PC for games I'm currently streaming. For Geforce now, that's possible; for Stadia it's not.
It changes what feels like every 45 seconds, but right now I'm leaning toward Stadia being the better overall service.
As for the questions you asked. The Stadia controller will work anywhere you have Stadia, but only (I think) if the device and the controller are on the same network. In cases where that does not apply (over cell signal) you can hardwire the controller. This is also the way you can use it with other services, like Steam or GeForce Now. (The Stadia controller is not bluetooth.)
Also, for your information, you never needed the hardware to play Stadia; only if you want to play on a TV via a CCU. You can open up the browser on your computer and head over to stadia.com and play Stadia with a mouse and keyboard, or with a third-party controller if you have one.
Starting November 19 at 9 AM PT, everyone on Stadia can play Destiny 2 for free. This play for free version of Destiny 2 begins your legend with a large variety of activities – from cooperative quests to competitive modes, challenging endgame activities, and more. Even if you’re not a Stadia Pro member, you’ll be able to take part in the core Destiny 2 experience.

So for those of you that do not have the profiles yet, this will (probably) work.
This is the model of the link when you select to share your profile page (https://stadia.com/profile/xxxxx), this last part are several random numbers. (I will not share it here as I already had a post removed when I tried to post about it before that post)
All you need is a free account to play at 1080 p 60fps.
If you want to play the game at 4k you need a stadia pro account for $10/mon ( also give you access to 28 other games ) I make stadia YouTube content . This referral link will give you 1 month of stadia pro trial and an additional 1 month of pro for free. Just remember, you do not need pro to play Humankind. Its just an option if you want to play at 4k. https://stadia.com/link/referrals?si_rid=10033058353652358138&si_rt=1
So I finally got it working, and man.. It’s amazing playing on my iPad Pro! I couldn’t get the DS4 controller working and I thought it was because of the iOS 14 beta I installed. I tried it on my wife’s iPad Pro (13.6 and 13.7), but also without success.
After that I deleted the iCab app and reinstalled it. After that I logged in into my Google account, changed the user agent and went to Stadia.com. Clicked on the controller tab and turned on my already linked DS4 controller, and BAM! It worked flawlessly after that.
I would like to add that pinging stadia.com directly may not be the best approach because you can't be sure the servers will always be equally responsive. Pinging Google's DNS servers at 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.4.4 is a much better alternative.
I found links in your comment that were not hyperlinked:

Click to play is a bit different. A normal link potentially encodes the user to play with (e.g. /u/1/) and won't work if you're not logged int. A click to play link will ask you to login first if you're not logged in and doesn't include the user.
E.g. this is for pubg: https://stadia.com/link/1UNxeip9gmkx8sUo9. You'll notice that it's different than the /player/xxxxx game links.
I think that there are some other differences too.
I believe that your account has been created already at that point. You don't have to click "Start trial". If you visit https://stadia.com/ you should be able to see the UI.
At least that's what happened when I tested it with a secondary account, without starting the trial.
Btw, I don't think that it requires a credit card from a certain country to start the trial. You should be able to use any credit/debit card you like.
oh dude, it didn't break anything! with this update they just enabled data usage toggle for each device directly through web. And they made default resolution to 1080p. open stadia.com > stadia settings > performance > select 4k from dropdown.
4k is back and working now :)

No, you just get access to stadia there is no console.
You just go to stadia.com and log into your account and can play on your PC using any controller you may have like the Xbox one etc.
If you like it then you can continue to just play on your pc if you want or optionally purchase a bundle which consists of the chromecast ultra and a stadia controller and play on the big screen
It is a game streaming platform. Any game you get on Google Stadia is in the cloud and can be played on any supported device. Right now it is restricted to wifi and hardwire but they will be opening it up to mobile data streaming later on.
The F2P Destiny 2 is the base game plus Curse of Osirus and Warmind expansions. The Forsaken expansion and upcoming Shadowkeep expansion are not F2P.
Stadia will include both paid expansions as well as their annual passes. I don't know what Forsaken will cost by then, but a pre-order for Shadowkeep w/ annual pass is $60.
From the Stadia preorder page:
>Stadia Founder’s Edition comes with a free three-month Stadia Pro subscription,7 unlocking access to an ever-expanding library of free games starting with Destiny 2: The Collection (including the Shadowkeep and Forsaken expansions with Annual Passes, Curse of Osiris, and Warmind).

How much does it cost?
For details please check out the Stadia page on the Google Store. Note that purchasing an individual controller does not entitle you to Stadia access. To access Stadia in 2019, you’ll need to purchase a bundle.
Hmm, hopefully they add some countries to the list before launch. I just went to stadia.com and for me it opens some kind of site with info about Stadia with my google account logged in. I'm just across the Baltic sea from you in Finland. I hope we get Stadia to the Baltic countries too at launch!
Wait a few months for Steam Deck to be out a few months (stress testing Linux gaming support) and for Google to officially release Steam support on Chromebooks. Then you'll have a much easier time just trying games to see what works.
In the short term, grab yourself some cloud gaming to hold you over. I think I can gift you 2 months of free Stadia Pro by clicking here. It might last you long enough since Stream Deck comes out this month.
Stadia Pro comes with a bunch of games to play, but if you already have a Steam library you can also try the free tier of GeForce Now on your Chromebook.
Frankly, cloud gaming will probably be the better experience in the end still, but who knows? Maybe Steam Deck really will make Linux gaming mainstream.

As a fellow 1060 owner, I actually had a surprisingly good experience playing Cyberpunk on Google Stadia at launch, and it was widely reported as one of the best ways to play it if you didn't have a current gen console or GPU.
In that case it's probably the tablet. It can be its wifi reception or it can be its video decoding. Try this: Instead of using the app go to stadia.com and use the web ui. From there change the settings to 720p mobile optimized, and start a game from the web UI. See if it helps.
You can play it on Stadia for free. Zero downloading needed. - Create Stadia account, start the Pro-Trial (not needed to play your game) - First purchase gets a $10 discount - Use to buy Elder Scrolls (when on sale it’s less than $10) - Login and Play
Can be playing in 5mins-8mins. Zero downloading.
Note, you can also get about 5-7 months of the Pro-subscription for free. It’s not needed to play any game you bought, it’s just 4K stream, higher audio quality, deeper sale discounts, and monthly free games. You’ll get 2 months instead of 1 with the referral link, GoogleOne can give you 4 months, and Lenovo Gaming has a promo that gives you another +3 months.

Timezone: US Central Age: 24 Games: RDR2, The Crew 2, Elder Scrolls Online, Destiny 2. I'll pretty much play whatever. I'd really like to find some people to play RDRO and do the missions with.
and on top of everything when you go to stadia.com the first thing they do is ask for your credit card info to start the trial
so yeah. there's nothing crazy about it. that's how google intended it
You can get the Stadia version for free and play there.
Important Note: Stadia is **FREE* to use and play any of your purchased games (like ESO). You do not need Stadia Pro to use it. The monthly subscription is only extra perks, like 4K/5.1 Audio stream, Deeper sale discounts, and 2-4 Free games every month, etc.
As long as you have 15-25 Mb/s internet, it will work fine.
You can also play/access Stadia from many devices, like Android, iOS, your Laptop/Browser, etc. I play ESO in my car on my iPad when I have downtime lol.
There is currently a $22 Promotion for the Stadia Controller + Chromecast Ultra bundle, but it’s popular and out of stock recently. If you get lucky, you may be able to snag one when they get more stock before the promotion ends.
I'm a bit confused here... Are you looking for a gaming launcher to download games and run them locally? In that case I'd suggest GOG or Steam.
If you're looking for cloud gaming services, then the whole point is that you don't have to download games: they run on a distant server and get streamed to you directly.
Or maybe you want to have a shortcut to a cloud gaming service installed so you can launch it easily? In that case I'd suggest installing Stadia as a PWA (go the https://stadia.com connect and then in your browser's menu—usually represented as 3 dots—you'll get an "Install Stadia" option... Or even simpler: individual game shortcuts are available at https://stadiaicons.web.app (full disclosure, I made the site).
Emulation is great, but also don't sleep on native apps or Cloud gaming! I highly recommend Xbox Gamepass, Nvidia GeForce Now and Stadia. Gamepass Ultimate is $15, the other two have free and paid tiers. If you want 2 months Stadia Pro free use this link: https://stadia.com/link/benjanin_AT6Sn
I got into Stadia from day one, paid roughly 130$ for the founders edition. People have said it was going to die in less than a year, that its too risky to buy games... Today, people are getting it for as low as $22 and prior, free. I've been comfortable with my purchase. I've bought many games, full price.
Try it out for free. Cancel your sub immediately so you won't get charged if you don't like it. If you do, then resub.
Here's my free 2 months for you if you want: https://stadia.com/link/Skunklor_JmWdV
Some facts:

Overall its a pretty solid first version. I wish they would have revamped the UI. So that you can claim PRO games / buy games / browse the store / etc. It still feels like ... 2 years ago on CCU. Its pretty much the exact same experience.

Also not supporting BT controllers through webOS is really sad. No wireless PS / Xbox / 3rd party controllers. Would make the barrier to entry for cloud gaming much lower. With the current implementation its really awkward - cloud gaming ... but wired ... ugh ? Who even has USB cables long enough to reach from behind your TV to your 4m away couch ???
There you go.
I did a 7 day trial and got a coupon back in the summer, which was still on my account just now, even though I never paid for a subscription.
What happens if you use this referal link? Does it give you a 60 day trial? Even though I'm still not subscribed.
Ubisoft servers are terrible. Try this way to play Far Cry 6. No downloads needed. You can begin playing in just a few minutes with a Chrome browser and your current controller: 2 Month Stadia Pro free trial If you buy a game $59.99 and up between now and the 10th, you can get a free Stadia controller and a Chromecast Ultra so you play on your TV as well. You can can downgrade from Stadia Pro at any time during your trial to avoid the monthly $9.99 after the promo, and keep any games that you have purchased.

If you are using an iPhone, the app you install from the Apple Store will not work.
Open up Safari and go to Stadia.com to use Stadia as a web app.
As for linking the account, i can only say that prior to the new season, I linked my 2 son's GFN accounts and it worked without issues, however there is only cross progression, no cross purchases, etc.
Hopefully at least you can get Stadia working on mobile.
Edit: If you are in school, not sure if this would apply, but my sons are in Junior & High School, and they have a GSuite (Google) account, maybe if this applies to you, double check which account you actually linked to Bungie
You can start the trial and then immediately go into your account settings and set it to not auto-renew.
Or you can forego the trial by navigating straight to a free-to-play game like Destiny 2: https://stadia.google.com/games/destiny-2
Or you can use someone's referral link for (I think) 2 months free, like mine: https://stadia.com/link/home?si\_rid=10028062301359273944
Unfortunately I can't answer your question about Madden, but for your question if stadia works legitimately well: create an account since it's free to give it a run! Here is a referral code that will also give you an extra month of the OPTIONAL monthly subscription that you can cancel immediately and still get the free trial: https://stadia.com/link/UnDeadSc_5zHnm

Also for Fifa sessions when it drops.

Go to stadia.com, create an accound and see for yourself. You'll get ~30 games for a month for free.
Try this if you don't want to start the 30-day Pro trial: https://stadia.google.com/games/destiny-2, which is completely free.

I've mainly been splitting my time between Red Dead Online and Madden 21, but I've also played quite a bit of Division 2 and the Tom Clancy games.
This is absolutely not going to change anyone's mind. Everyone concerned about Stadia's shutdown knows that Google will keep the already in progress games pipeline going. The question is are they signing up new developers, making new agreements etc for games in 2023, 24, 25 to come out as games on Stadia.com as opposed to yet-to--be-announced Stadia powered publisher white label services. That's what they won't be doing if they have decided to wind down Stadia. Time will tell. But this blogpost doesn't move the needle one way or another.
I see in a years time Activision launching its own cloud gaming service for $9.99 a month when you login to battle.net launch a game your greeted with logo that says powered by Google Stadia that is the future of Stadia the consumer portal that Google runs and we use now will get less and less third party games as why would they put the games on stadia.com let google take 30% of sales and pay Google to power their own cloud gaming service they want people to use.
He mentions working with partners to bring them access to stadia's underlining technology for their customers/players like 5 times in the blog post and mentions gamers once and stadia as we know it once...
Focusing on Stadia’s future as a platform, and winding down SG&E (blog.google)
You can try Stadia out for free, so just try it and see for yourself if it works for you.
If you don't have a credit card (the Stadia pro trial requires one, though you can cancel it immediately and still get the free month), you can just go here and try out Destiny 2 for free: https://stadia.com/games/destiny-2
When Fortnite came to iPhone, schools had to block it on their wifi. I can see that happening with Stadia.com and any battle royale game. People wanna play 'em in a convenient way.
mrfussypants#7222 https://stadia.com/profile/15244238289223864396 Playing Destiny 2, just finished Gylt for the first time, gonna start Rise of the Tomb Raider, really wanna get Cyberpunk but holding out a little bit. decided to try Stadia almost a month ago after i watched a youtube podcast about CP2077 playing so well, and was super glad to see the future of gaming is happening now
