I know very little about SSH'ing, but whenever I look at tech related videos alot of people seem to be using Termius:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.server.auditor.ssh.client&hl=en
Some basic commands:
pwd
: Show your current folder name and path
ls
: List all files in the folder. Type ls -l
to get a neat list view. ls -la
to show hidden files as well.
cd <folder>
: Change directory, to enter a folder. If the folder name has spaces, enclose it in quotes (cd 'Pink Floyd'
). If the folder doesn't exist inside the folder you're currently in, you'll need to specify the full path, eg. cd /sdcard/Music
.
cd ..
will take you one level up (note the space between cd and the two dots).
rm <file>
: Remove file. Eg rm filename.mp3
. This command accepts wildcards, so you could type eg rm a*
and it'll remove all files in the folder that start with an 'a'. If your filename contains spaces, enclose it in quotes.
rm -rf <folder>
: Forcefully remove an entire folder and its contents. Be extremely careful with this as if you mistype this you could wipe your entire phone! In your case, you should first try removing the corrupt file in question using just the normal rm command, if that doesn't work try this. Eg: rm -rf /sdcard/Music/ACDC
. And if your folder path contains spaces, use quotes. Eg rm -rf '/sdcard/Music/Pink Floyd'
.
Three things to keep in mind:
I also made a quick video illustrating the above, using the Termius app as my terminal emulator: https://youtu.be/bQyM_mee0Is
Android is Linux-based, so you will not be able to run batch commands on it. However, you can start an SSH server on your windows computer, and then connect to it with your android phone for a similar experience.
For the windows ssh server I recommend freesshd. It is simple and secure.
As for the android ssh client, I use termius
Good luck setting things up!
Is it to control a VPS maybe? I use this app called Secure Shell App which allows me to SSH into remote machines/VPS. I am not sure what or how your school course is but interface on Putty Vs. this app is quite similar

See if your Pixelbook supports android app or has Playstore, you could use Play Store app also

My chromebooks don't support Linux apps, but I heard Pixelbook does run Linux applications natively after update but I have no experience with it. :-(
I've had great success connecting to CRBO with Termius on my Android phone. Just make sure to set it to a monospaced font and pinch/spread to zoom in/out to the appropriate font size. You may have to restart the application if characters disappear over the right edge of the screen, but with some futzing you'll get it.

Reddit is fun, Serverauditor, Microsoft Remote Desktop
That's Termius (probably).
Do you the Terminus SSH Client? Is JuiceSSH better?
Termius. I've used it lightly for the last few years and haven't had any complaints until now.
