Do you have a blog or a Twitter account? I would love to go back and follow the path of your progress.
Is this your game: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rankified.tilecollapse
?
Nice to hear about about it your experience, even your adventure with /r/gaming/. I haven't got any further than Facebook ads and fiverr gigs to get the first few app installs for Tile Collapse, enough to get bumped into organic search results.
I would love to hear more about app install numbers of new apps made by others. Is it a couple per day? More than that?
Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I have used a few pieces of your music in my game! It's very nice and ambient which fits my puzzle game well. I have credited you in the help screen, just let me know if this is alright, otherwise I will make it as you like in the next update. Thank you so much for putting this online!
My game is called Tile Collapse, if you want to check your music out!
Hi devs,
I don't even know where to start marketing my new Android game: Tile Collapse. It's quite hard to explain that it's the classic Collapse game, but with new puzzle elements built into it. What should I change in the current Google Play entry for the game, like the graphics and texts? Thanks.

Did you know that one of your songs is used in my game Collapse for Android? You can have a look here if you want: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rankified.tilecollapse
Credits are in the help section, let me know if that is alright.
First of all : thanks a lot ! it answers my investigation greatly. I found this one but it does not mention gamehouse and is free ? https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rankified.tilecollapse
Is it this one ?
I've got some great feedback from you guys in the past, and I'm curious what you think about the latest updates in my game! It's my take on the classic 'Super Collapse' puzzle games.
Looking at the statistics and seeing that people are playing my game, checking the cool feedback in the reviews and learning from that. Also, seeing revenue pick up is a nice feeling!
For Tile Collapse, I had the same problem, where I kept switching between flat and 3D style design. I'm still not completely happy with the way some elements of the game are 3D (the logo, and graphics on the menu screen), while the rest of the game is 2D.
It's been a frustrating process, working with different designers, but I was never 100% happy with the result so I ended up doing it myself mostly.
Still working hard on Tile Collapse, a Collapse game with about 100 puzzles, and each week I'm designing new ones. It's also got new puzzle elements built into it, like color changing tiles and exploding tiles.
Now I'm still trying to find out to get more players, showed it to all my friends and they all seem to like it a lot! It's addicting, with new puzzles coming up every day! I love designing the levels, and there's also a built-in level editor so you can create your own!
I'd love to hear what you think about my game! Especially feedback and tips on how to keep users engaged.
It sounds like the cognitive part of Tile Collapse is well implemented, and I've been trying to get the behaviourism part developed as well, which is hard. The big reward for solving a puzzle is to find out what the next design of the puzzle is gonna be like! I've been struggling with this since the start of the design, if anyone has a great tip, I'd love to hear it!

I don't even know where to start marketing my new Android game: Tile Collapse. It's the classic Collapse game, but with new puzzle elements built into it. How do I gain more visits in the Play Store for my game, and have it appear for new players? Should I change anything in the current Google Play entry for the game, like the graphics and texts? Thanks.

Besides Platformania I've also been working on an app which is a new take on the classic Collapse puzzle games: it's called Tile Pile, for Android. First look can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rankified.tilecollapse
Still looking how to do proper marketing for it, as for now it's completely free without ads.
I've been playing loads of Tile Collapse, as I am the one who made it! A Collapse game with about 100 puzzles, and each week I'm designing new ones. It's also got new puzzle elements built into it, like color changing tiles and exploding tiles.

After listening to your feedback on Reddit, I have made a ton of changes to the look of my game. I went for a bit less 'flat' look, to more 3D look. I spend days learning Blender to create the new look.
Japanese Marketing
I am currently busy translating the game to Japanese. I heard that the puzzle genre is the biggest in Japan for mobile gaming. Does anyone have any success stories translating their game for the Japanese market? I'm curious to hear how others have fared, and of course I will share my experiences too.

Collapse! Puzzle Gallery is the new name for Tile Collapse, and it has gotten a new improved look!

Here is a side-to-side comparison between old an new. It's gotten an even more flat-design look and less visual distractions:

So far, the Japanese translation has resulted in only 1 or 2 additional installs in Japan, pretty disappointing. I'm still trying to figure out what went wrong here, will keep you posted!

The game is available in the Japanese Google Play, but somehow it doesn't show up right now. I'll try to use the Japanese translation of 'Tile Collapse' in the title, and see what happens.

I have released a new update today, with better tile physics, better looking dialogs and graphics. Now I'm still working on marketing the game, I do have the usual channels, FB, Twitter and YouTube, but I'm still struggling to use them effectively. I would love some tips on this.

Feedback How do you design a good app icon for a tile based game? There are already tons of tile-grid icons in the Play Store, and I don't think it looks that good with so much detail in it. I am currently working with a designer on this, hope it will look great!

Also, I'm thinking of adding a way to leave a message when you get a highscore. This way you can tease others or leave tips. Is this worth it to implement?

People will skip through the tutorials anyway, without reading much. Especially on mobile games. Just make sure you can't mess much up in the first few levels, just like in my game, where the first level will always be solved correctly. You can't do anything wrong there.
It's super frustrating to see people not taking the effort to learn to play your game . If they keep misunderstanding the GUI, that's a sign that you need to really think about reworking in and making it easier, simpler.
